How this place isn't 5 stars is beyond my comprehension. The light jazz music today was great and the atmosphere is very fitting of the name Fork + Ale. We were greeted by the manager today who was very kind and I could tell it mattered to him that the customers were attended to. He also thanked us on our way out.. Now for the food, the wings are quickly becoming my favorite in Indiana. Close with Fork and Ale as best overall depending on how you like them. Boneless are crispy and flavorful, you just gotta try it to understand why they're my favorite. Bone in are great as well but Ale wins by flavor options. This place is very good! We went on a Friday towards the end of our evening out in downtown Carmel. I got a Caesar salad with ahi tuna, truffle fries, and an espresso martini. I loved the salad! The lettuce was fresh and nothing was soggy. The ahi tuna cuts were good and had enough on the salad. The fries were not my favorite however just because there is an up charge for Parmesan truffle.. I'm used to more truffle being on the fried when I order them. When I initially got my fries I saw the light sprinkle of Parmesan and did not smell any truffle. I asked the waitress and she took it back for them to add more. I still could not smell any truffle or taste any when they were brought back, but I ate them anyway. Our early dinner on a beautiful afternoon in midtown Carmel was just short of exceptional. Absolutely loved the outdoor seating area where we were cajoled with live music. My Baja bowl was excellent - very impressed with the tenderness of the beef and the balance of flavors. The cilantro cream sauce, as seen by the pic, was lumpy but I wolfed it down anyway as it was delicious. Husband rated 2 thumbs up on the pizza. 1st timer. Went for lunch around 1-1:30pm during fall break. At first entrance it appeared as your regular restaurant/tavern. We sat at a 4 top with myself and my daughter. The server was quick to ask for our beverage order. I got a beer and my daughter ordered a special drink that the waitress was more than happy to make. We ordered the hanging Bavarian pretzel and it was soft on the inside and a nice crisp on the outer. Lunch I ordered Crab cake sandwich and my daughter chicken and fries. Crake Cake Sandwich was not flavorful at all and tasted like they tried to grill it like a burger. The chicken fingers I thought had a nice crunch on the outside and chicken was delicious. My daughter did not like the chicken fingers as she said it had a rubbery texture on the inside. Let's talk pricing. It was tortilla chips, queso, soy cream, corn and black bean salsa, jalapeno, cilantro and grilled chicken. It was very good and filling. The toppings out lasted the tortillas, which normally does not happen. It was $14.50, which we thought was high, but unfortunately that's today's pricing. It came piled high vs spread out on a large plate. We also ordered the Tenderloin Sandwich to split. It came with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, and Chipotle Aioli. We got the Aioli on the side. They hook it up with generous cuts of steak and bleu cheese throughout the salad. What a great establishment! A perfect location for a family-friendly restaurant in Carmel! We ordered pretzel bites for an appetizer and were a bit cautious about the round shape, but these pretzels would be the topic we rave about for the rest of the day! This appetizer came with so many pretzels that could definitely feed a small group (2-4+). The dipping sauces were good, but just wait until you can dip the pretzels in the garlic parmesan run-off at the bottom of the plate. That is where the gold is at!! For entrees, we ordered the Shrimp Quesadilla and the Southwest Crunch Wrap! The shrimp quesadilla was nice and flavorful it came out hot and ready! The chips served with it looked like they were made in-house and were a perfect addition to the meal. The wrap was very nice! Beautiful presentation served with great fries! The wrap was enough for two meals, which made it enough to take some with you! The jalapeno ranch was not as spicy as I expected, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! This meal was also great, warmed up later! Our waitress, Hannah R, was absolutely incredible! We felt so well taken care of. She was attentive and so friendly! The food at fork and ale was so good as you can see in the photo, I got the buffalo chicken sandwich and fries for the side and cherry coke for my drink that was really good, they put grenadine in it so you could actually taste the cherry. On the buffalo chicken sandwich, there was originally tomato, onion, pickle, lettuce, blue cheese crumbles, and buffalo sauce. I took off the onion, tomato and blue cheese crumbles because I don't really like all that stuff and the buffalo sauce I put on the side because I can handle spices, but I don't really like it, but it was good. And the fries were so good. The service was so great the food got out pretty fast! Our server was so nice and thoughtful And was very polite to us about everything! The ambience was also so great They had music playing that was really good and outside they had a bunch of stuff that my kids could play with. Like pool you could bring a ball to play with and an open yard and they had table tennis. Then there's the bathroom it had three urinals and three stalls perfect for us men. It was a weird but cool way to get to the bathroom. I walked through a door and there was a huge space to walk in. Love the new menu and ambiance! We got sat behind the big sliding wooden barn doors and the bar extends a the way back. We specifically went to fork and ale for the charbroiled oysters! It's the only type of oysters I like and you can't seem to find them anywhere apart from New Orleans. They are so cheesy and delicious! They even gave us an extra side of bread. For happy hour we also ordered the chips and pimento dip. The dip definitely had a chick more and wasn't as thick as the typical pimento cheese. Loved the chips are homemade in house tortilla chips. We ordered two pizzas and breadsticks to share. The Classico and a cheese. The breadsticks may have been the show winner to me however. Both crispy on the outside and soft in the middle with cheese and ranch sauce for dipping. 10/10 on the food and will definitely be back to try more. A great upgrade from before I'd say! read more

The buffalo wasn't too spicy, but still flavorful and the ranch is perhaps one of my new favorite restaurant ranches. Both my boyfriend and I ordered burgers - the cowboy burger and the badger burger. They're HUGE. Full of flavor and juicy. 110% worth the price, and I think they're priced reasonably. Fries were steakhouse cut and were crispy - YUM. After I made 2 transactions with them and left with my items to eat and drink on our walk back... I noticed I was charged a 20 % tip -on both receipts from the guy who took my order at the bar.. Fork Ale House is Nestled in the Carmel Sun King District. We decided to go here after a long day of being out. Parking is located on the street or the garage across the street from the location. From the outside the location appears bigger that what is it. Luckily they didn't have a wait. The servers and staff were friendly and the food was good. I went with fish tacos and I though they were pretty darn good. I would definetly get them again. Although the attached photo doesn't look that appealing they were still good. The same goes for the Salmon BLT, the picture doesn't look that well but the sandwich was great. As far as the drinks go, I went with the Smoked Pequena Colada and added jalapeno peppers to it. We were looking for a different restaurant when we stumbled upon Fork Ale House. ( We found out the place we were looking for closed ). Food was really good. We started off with buffalo cauliflower and cheese curds. Never had the two mixed together before. We got sauce on the side since hubby doesn't do buffalo sauce. I ate the cauliflower he ate the cheese. Win win especially when he accidentally got a piece of cauliflower ( he hates cauliflower :) ) I ordered a Club Wrap. I loved that the bacon was all thru the wrap. For a club it had a lot of flavor. Husband got a Pressed Vito Pulled pork , bacon and turkey. It was also really full of flavor. Make your reservations for New Year's prime rib at Fork+Ale. I took the fam to Fork + Ale House for Christmas Eve dinner. We had their prime rib ordered medium with asparagus and bacon ranch potato cakes for everyone but the kids. They got the same but with the substitution of French fries for the potato cakes. I ordered a Johnny Walker and my wife got an "Oh Snap", which was a drink with Irish cream, vodka, kahlua, cinnamon and whipped cream. I can't remember anything more about how the libation was created, but it came with a cute, little gingerbread man served on top. My son has a soda and my daughter had her favorite strawberry lemonade. The meal came out; the table was full. The Prime Rib was delicious. My son who is very picky ate all but the last three bites. My wife and I paired the beef with their house Cabernet, which was more than sufficient. We all quite enjoyed our meal. We were stuffed but decided to take some home in order to have room for dessert. We order the New York Cheesecake and also hade the peach praline pie and bread pudding both served à la mode. My boyfriend and I ate at Fork & Ale Memorial Day weekend and it was great! The hostess was attentive and welcoming (a rare quality) and we ate outside and the service was all around lovely. Very kind. We started with the oysters Rockefeller and weirdly I do wish I got a little more of the oyster flavor than so much cheese, but I understand that's probably not a popular opinion lol. Next time I'll have to go for a more seafood option here because that seems to be a specialty. The star of the show for me was the shaved brussel sprout salad. read more
