Tried some place new, won't be back. Zero customer service. We ordered at the bar and paid, bartender was pleasant enough. We were told when we want drink refill to come back to the bar. I ordered buffalo chicken strips and they didn't put any sauce on the chicken at all. Husband got the chicken bacon ranch quesadilla, it was actually really good. No one came over to see how the food was. Live music which neither of us are a fan of was going on. They weren't busy at all on a Saturday night. I saw a few reviews stating all they used to serve was pizza. I think they'd be better off to go back to that. Bar food can be good if it is done right. This needs help. read more

Came here on a Sat night with friends to hear BEE the band perform or at least Evan Krabill who was performing. Place was hopping! Good beer options. Food was enjoyed by many but not sure kitchen was prepared for crowd as was taking a long time to have food come out. Kid friendly which is nice for families. Stopped in here while in Indy for work. The space was located at the end of a strip center. As you walk in there is a seating area and a long bar with around 8-10 seats in the middle of the space, and a a small merchandise area towards the back with a small cooler for to go packaged beers.. There is also a small patio seating area. I sat at the bar and the bartender/server was friendly and attentive, even though she was quite busy. The place was quite busy for a Tuesday night. I had a Marzen, a Roggenshnizzel (German Rye Lager), and an Oat Stout (Oatmeal Stout). All of the beers were good. I also had a pretzel with beer cheese and mustard which was very good. My husband and I used to frequent the original Bier location on on 65th and Binford so we decided to stop into this Carmel location since we were in the area. There's a large amount of indoor seating as well as outdoor seating and the bar has a very typical brewery atmosphere with mug club mugs lining the ceiling. We each ordered a beer, both of which lived up to the high standard Bier has for its brews. We also tried the BLT and the nachos. Both were good, but nothing exceptional. I would describe it as pretty much your typical bar food. I did appreciate the crispness of the bacon and the freshness of the tomatoes on my sandwich. Our bartender was very friendly and pleasant and checked in on us just the right amount. We will definitely be stopping by again when we're in Carmel and need a beer and a snack! read more

This will be my new hangout spot in Carmel. The inside is so cool and casual. It feels like someone's home with a bar in it. There's couches and mismatch tables. You can tell the customers are locals that just love the beer here. I'd love to try their beers, but ended up getting a blood orange seltzer which was amazing. So refreshing and bright. I really appreciate that they offer something other than beer (wine, ciders, selters, etc) so no matter who you're with can find something they like. The food menu is pretty big and I'm eager to try some different options. We had the dip platter with an extra side of veggies along with pita, and some other cracker crisp. The dips were ok. Nothing amazing, but a good snack to munch on if you're drinking. You walk up to the counter to order, and the women helping us was nice and knowledgeable. Ooooooh what a fun spot! Located in a strip center, we wouldn't have guessed how cool it was on the inside. We walked in and were surprised that every table was full. It seems to be *the* spot in the neighborhood. There was fun live music, twinkle lights, lots of families, and a cool, wooden bar in the center. I got a gluten-free blonde beer that was surprisingly delicious. They also have a full menu now, so we got chicken tenders to share. The dipping ranch sauce that they came with was so good! Bier Brewery is an Indianapolis staple in the beer community, and the north location is no exception. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly, with lots of TVs and seating options. The beer here is solid with plenty of styles for everyone, including other options such as seltzer, kombucha, NA beer, and soft drinks. There is a limited food menu, and we found it took a while to get our order delivered, but it was good once we got it. My husband had the Brewer's Wings, which he said were delicious, but was disappointed he only got 6 wings for $15. I had the Baja Cheese quesadilla with mushrooms and it was a filling option. We had a nice time at Bier Brewery! We were looking for a dog-friendly place to take our dog for his birthday. The food was delicious. The portions were so good, to the point that we'd advise sharing dessert because we barely finished either plate! The staff was super friendly, as was a couple at a table nearby, that also brought their dog. We would love it if there was wait staff for patrons eating outside. We had to place our orders inside and take a number so that they knew where to send the food. That would be one suggestion to make the overall experience even better, but it was not make or break. Would love to come back without our dog sometime (sorry doggy) and try their indoor dining, too! read more

We originally tried a bier beer at a different restaurant from their tap - the pumpkin ale- and loved it SO much. We had to come visit their taproom and take home a growler (and get some pints for there as well!). The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have lots of great options and cool decor as well. They have a patio you can sit on as well as some places to sit inside, although limited. The tables are marked for cleanliness which made us feel safe! The beer also came in single serve cups and they washed the growler before filling it. Definitely would be back- we were very impressed with the beer quality. read more

The beer here is great. I've never had food at Bier Brewery, just beer. (Yes, I'm a degenerate.) And the last time I was here was a quick pop-in to grab a six pack of their latest IPA. So, this review won't tell you much beyond this: They sell beer here! And the beer is good! You can buy beer at Bier and take it home to enjoy. Because we are living during a dystopian pandemic time, I should also mention that the people behind the counter were wearing masks, and Bier was encouraging social distancing by adding outdoor patio seating, and taping a sign outside their window that specifies that everyone should practice social distancing. They are making an effort, and that is great to see. Bier Brewery is located right off the highway (highway 31, to be exact). Lots of parking in their parking lot. read more

I absolutely love coming here! I came here for the first time last week to try out some beers. They had so many options of beers and everyone was willling to let me try all the different options. New brewery located in a plaza with lots of parking. Large open place with lots of seating. They also have a couple couches for a more relaxed lounge feel. It wasn't very busy because it was Christmas Eve but I was happy they were open. We sat at the bar and ordered the Hefeweizen and raspberry wheat. We left with a growler of each - that's how good they were! They also have refrigerators with cans you can take to go. Their prices are very good. About $5 per pint and $14 for a 64oz growler fill. They do not serve food here but have mini bags of chips to purchase. Some nights they partner up with the pizza joint in the same plaza. And if you're looking for merchandise, they have a wall with lots of options from hoodies, to Henley's to t-shirts. read more

We went a couple weeks after they opened last Fall. It was a Wednesday, and we only had time for one round before they closed at 9p. You'll want to check times (pic) before you go. It's an upscale casual atmosphere, rustic and charming. We sat on one of the comfy leather couches. I love Bier's beer in general and especially that they have a big selection of IPAs and APAs. A sucker for higher IBUs, I loved the Baseline, an American pale but look forward to working my way through that part of their menu. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they offered appetizers too so early on. Clearly they were well-prepared for this location. Games are available, kids are allowed, and they host live music and other events like Euchre. I live in between Bier Brewery North and Books & Brews in Carmel, and it's going to be a tough choice where I spend my leisure time. read more

Finally had the chance to check this place out. I noticed first that there is some outdoor seating and when we went they were grilling some burgers outside as well. We opted for indoors. Note that when you walk in you are supposed to go directly to the bar to order you food and drink, get a number and choose your seat. They have a small menu of food and lots of beers. The food service is a little inefficient, with the servers having to look all over inside and out for the associated number. Food took quite awhile but it was hot and tasty when we got it. The chorizo queso was really good with big chunks of chorizo and plenty of chips. For my sandwich, I opted for a grilled cheese with bacon. It was a tasty sandwich with a generous amount of cheese. The new location in Bier Brewery North in Carmel IN is a very nice location. They serve the traditional Bier Brewery beer and even have a food menu. They serve soup and appetizers, but not a full menu. They have a shuffleboard game that you can play to kill time and drink beer. The outside front patio and side patio are very nice to sit out and enjoy on a beautiful day! I tried the rerum Ale beer this time and it was wonderful! Bier Brewery North is a great place in Carmel with wonderful beer and the food menu is a bonus since the original location off of 65th St. and Binford Blvd. Does not have food. This is a bigger space with more to offer to its customers. I would recommend everyone to check out this new location for Bier Brewery, because it is excellent! read more

Having enjoyed their beer for years, I'm embarrassed that this was my first foray to one of their brewpubs. Of course, the beers are great, and their flights are the way to go if you've not had their offerings before or simply want to try new flavors. Their food menu was surprisingly broad, and we didn't get past the starters! The pretzel and the queso nachos (with bbq pork) were delicious; filling for two people to split and call it a meal. We will be back to try one of their many meal options, which range from flatbreads, to tacos and quesadillas, and to bar-type sandwiches. read more

Super Excited as our first post shut down lunch outside! I was very excited to see they had a larger area to sit outside and enjoy the weather while we sat and ate and drank. You go in and order at the bar and they are cooking the food on a grill. We all got the Fischer Farms burgers and tots! It was a very tasty burger. We got the special sauce. I just love tots so was super excited. I enjoyed my cider and it was nice to actually be out of the house. They brought our dog a huge bowl of ice cold water. They have ample indoor seating and quite a few tables outside. Hopefully we will get to go back soon. Went here for a trivia night with a few friends and glad I did! We were all drinking beer and enjoyed the selection I prefer a lighter beer and the fruit ale was perfect for me. My friends all enjoy stronger beers and had no problem finding something they loved. We decided to split the nachos and cheese board. The nachos were great and had melted cheese and fresh ingredients on top. For primarily being a brewery I was impressed with the offerings. The cheese board was a nice variety, but would have been nicer if the cheeses were labeled. It came with grapes, apples, and crackers. It looks like they're always running some sort of special or event to get people in the door. I would absolutely recommend checking this place out. $2 tacos on Tuesday's doesn't hurt either! read more

Great local brewery on the northside. I am super excited to watch the expanding scene of local breweries now with more lounging options. This location has board games, ample seating with leather couches, high top tables, bar seating. There is a shuffle board table as well with other rotating entertainment including live music, euchre, chili competitions. Always artful chalk work on the board while you peruse their rotating taps. They brew enough that everyone will be pleased with at least one option. There are also small bite options but they are open to bringing food in and there are plenty of places to eat in the same shopping center. Kid friendly outside of the bar area. It is nice to have places that are laid back and you can bring your children to while you watch a sporting event and chat with friends around some delicious beers. The expansion to Carmel was a great decision! I've always loved the OG spot even with its odd location placement and I must say, this strip mall wouldn't have been my first choice, but with the US 31 construction finally complete it seems to work! Since Mickey's Irish Pub closed the area needed a good drinking spot and Bier delivers! The tasting room maximized the space to have more seating and a cozy vibe to make up for the OG location's more cramped layout. Setup great for events and the bar and taps centralized the flow helps keep it cozy regardless of how packed it might be. Parking lot is convenient and I haven't heard of any issues if a car is left overnight...you could grab food or hit Ollie's when you pick up in the morning! I LOVE the Pumpkin Ale and its always sad when the season ends but the IPAs and other varieties are great too. Very pleased the North location uses the magnificent chalkboard art to display the brews on tap like the original taproom! Patio is dog friendly and it seems the events with Humane Society of Hamilton County are pretty frequent (LOVE). The parking lot can be sectioned off for food trucks and vendors which is great and our pup was a big fan when he joined the fun! read more

Bier Brewery is my favorite brewery in Indy! Their beer is unique and very good. Their staff is very knowledgeable and will talk you through the best beer for you. You can also sample any beer before purchasing. There are sections that are family friendly. The brewery has three TVs, shuffleboard and ample seating. This is my second time back since they opened last Saturday. I will definitely be back! My favorite beer is the PDG ale and the Pumpkin ale. The pumpkin ale is very light on the pumpkin flavor and not sweet. Just enough pumpkin to be flavorful! The PDG ale is hoppy but not overpowering. The Small Town Hero IPA is great and all proceeds go to the Jason Seaman Foundation. read more
