Wonderful brewery in Fountain Square. It's off the beaten path but well worth the trip. It is a bit quieter than other breweries, which is what we like. The bartender is friendly and very knowledgeable on the beers. His description of a beer is right on target. He explained a couple then gave us a sample. He nailed it every time. He wanted to make sure we got something we liked and would enjoy. We had a great time talking to him. The brewery is dog friendly. It also has a loyal base of regular customers.

More than the locals recognize the greatness of FSB! Called out in a page of Southwest Airline's Monthly In-Air Magazine!

Over the years Fountain Square Brewery keeps getting even better! Recently was flying Southwest and the brewery had a shot out as a place to visit! You can bring in food and enjoy the delicious variety of brews! Cozy couches, tons of games and now even some pinball machines! My husband and his buddy of over 20 years were a force to be reckoned with on the foosball table last visit a little over a week ago! Staff are always fabulous and can help recommend a brew if you aren't able to put your finger on that craving you're having. Parking throughout FS can get hairy but the new garage nearby helps a ton! Don't be a dummy and park at Goodwill or in other business lots where you can get towed. Better yet, use an Uber, Lyft, Bicycle, or your own two feet to bring you to Fountain Square. The area is a blast to explore and you can start and end with a fabulous brewery!

Nothing bad here. Great IPAs. Great selections. Friendly people. Had the raspberry Weiss and it was everything one could want. Give these people your money.

Full disclosure, I haven't had a chance to visit yet, but am loving that they have some of their selections in cans at Market District in Carmel so we can still support local breweries during the pandemic. I picked up a 6 pack of Soul Ride IPA which is excellent. I'm looking forward to visiting in person after Covid is under better control, but wanted to give a shout out now, and hope they can continue to hang in there over the next months.

Had a great time tasting fountain squares drinks while playing some darts with friends! This brewery was very calm and a great hang out spot to catch up with friends. The soul cider was very tasty! Can't wait to come back!

We've come here for years and loved it every time. But now that we have a puppy that can't be left home for long periods of time, we appreciate them even more!! My husband and I love Hop for the Teacher and Soul Ride!!

Place is great for local beers. Also super dog friendly. Personally enjoy the selection of beers. There is one however that I believe was brewed in a rum barrel and is too STRONG for my liking. Thankfully beer comes in many varieties and you have to have an acquired taste for what you are drinking. Also you can bring outside food in. This place is a chill spot and is a fun hang out I like to visit every so often.

I loved this brewery the minute I stepped in. There's all kinds of games (pinball, darts, board games), fantastic beer and friendly service-what more could you ask for. The art on the walls is fantastic and it's got a super chill vibe. Dogs were allowed in and their garage door was open as it was a sunny day. My fiancé and I got two different style ipas and they were both yummy. It's a beautiful destination for a bike ride to fountain square if you live in surrounding areas. We'll be back soon.

Pinball and New Day hard cider

Love the vibe here, and the fact that dogs are allowed, plus the outdoor seating, pinball, friendly staff, and non-beer drink options (since I am gluten free). Now that they have merged with New Day I hope to see more hard cider and mead options.

Great taste. I enjoyed the lavender lemon mead! The taste is phenomenal. It's light and refreshing. Not too heavy either! Great patio for outdoor seating. It does seem to be smoke friendly, but there are plenty options for seating.

When I have my beer-loving friends come to Indy, I want to take them on an inexpensive brewery tour. Cue in Fountain Square's Tap Room. Our $5 intimate afternoon tour began with a free beer. We then headed into the Brewing Room for the proper tour, which was given by the Assistant Brewmaster (I hope that was the correct title). Most tours I've been on are given by one of the bartenders, so I was impressed that we got to talk to someone who's "in the trenches" everyday. Having an intimate tour allowed for a lot of questions and in turn a lot of new knowledge about the industry. When the tour wrapped up, we received a Fountain Square Brewing pint glass and hung out for an extra hour drinking a flight. This is something I will definitely do again with out-of-town guests. SIDENOTE: Recently I was looking to buy a growler of a stout or porter in hopes I could get it from one of the newer breweries in downtown Indy that I haven't tried yet. Everyone I looked at had nothing darker than a red! I knew who I could depend on though. THANK YOU, Fountain Square, for saving the day!

I stopped in at the brewery after sampling some of their beers in bottles or on draft elsewhere. So, after parking in their lot on the south side of their building, I opted to sit at the bar so that I could get a good view of the beer options mounted on the wall. The bartender was friendly and explained that they had options for flights. I went with one that featured five standard house beers and because they were out of the sixth (Hefeweizen), I was able to substitute from the seasonal side of beers as my sixth. The flights serve 3 oz glasses for $7.50 for all six. I was pleased with the flavor on all the beers. I remember trying some of them in bottles I bought at a store when I was first starting to drink craft beers. I am so glad I gave those a second chance to redeem themselves. They really did. I think the standout for me was the stout which had a deep flavor that was somewhere between a coffee and a chocolate taste (at least to me.) The IPA was also good without being so hopped up that the bitterness was overwhelming. Good beers, friendly staff, and lots of games/art to look at. They also have outdoor seating that is covered by the overhanging roof. There also appears to be a stage on the west end of the parking lot for entertainment. Review #1010

Yes

Do they serve food?

I think they have some snacks, but not a sit down meal.

But I was focus to go to brewery and it was little hesitant because I wasn't sure where the entrance was. But I was able to find it. The taproom was biggest. I went up to the bar counter. They have good choices. The bartender was so nice. She explained to me well after I told her that it was my first time here. I had flight of beers and they were all so good! I enjoyed it a lot. Schwarbier was my favorite! They do have food but you have to go to different windows. It was easy to do. I had Dip Trio which was really good. I want to stick with something healthy. But it was good. I love the Spinach dip. This is great experience. If I am back in town, I would go this again and also will definitely recommend to my friends and family to go here.

There is a parking lot across the street to the west as well as one to the north of the house it appeared. When we walked in, there was a room to the left that was hosting a private event, a cavernous room to the right with a huge TV screen, a load of tables as well as kids running around, and then straight ahead was the main space with various-sized tables, couches, and barrels for hi-tops in addition to separate spaces to order drinks from their bar and food from their kitchen. If you know what you're doing, it's probably best to order your food first since there will be a wait and then get in line for your drinks. Place was pretty busy on a Saturday at 5:00 as most of the tables were taken, but we were able to take our drinks and the number we received from the kitchen to claim one of the few remaining. If you have kids with you, they had various board game activities around to pass the time. For food, we tried the Pretzel ($8) which came with beer cheese and what seemed like a horseradish mustard. Pretzel was good and we liked both dipping options. We also ordered the Dip Trio ($17), which included their three dips (pimento cheese, creamy spinach, hummus) along with pita bread, veggies (carrots, peppers, celery), and tortilla chips for dipping. It was a full tray of food and probably more than we anticipated. We enjoyed everything. Lastly, we split the Portobello Sandwich and substituted fries for the side ($14). The sandwich was messy, but extremely tasty. The fries were OK, essentially breaded in texture which isn't my favorite and probably wouldn't order again. For drinks, my wife went with an Ash & Elm cider option they had. I was excited by their multiple stout options so I ordered a flight. I did their Winner's Milk Jug Stout, Nitro Winner's Milk Jug Stout, Mexican Hot Chocolate Imperial and Barrel Series: Imperial Milk Stout #21. Their 2 Milk Jug options were little too coffee-esque for my liking. The Hot Chocolate had a fun spicy taste, but the absolute winner was the Barrel Series as it had amazing flavor. Beyond the confusion coming in figuring out the process, the only other peculiar thing was that it seemed they wanted you to bus your own table. Considering we placed our order at each counter and paid tips for each when we did so, that seemed a little out of place. We don't live close, but would definitely be interested in returning if in the area again. Would probably order a little less food next time.

The Brussels sprouts are an absolute triumph: perfectly blistered with a caramelized exterior and tender interior, dressed in a harmonious balance of bright acidity and savory depth. Little crunchy bits and a subtle smoky char add texture, while a finishing sprinkle (and a hint of something sweet-salty) elevates them from simple side to a show-stealer. The Korean salmon is equally impressive. The fish arrives flaky and moist with a richly glazed crust that carries sweet, spicy, and umami notes in perfect proportion.
