It was OK. This is a good place for cheap craft beer. But there are many other options in the in the Indy area. The service was good here, though. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of space.

More than the locals recognize the greatness of FSB! Called out in a page of Southwest Airline's Monthly In-Air Magazine!

Over the years Fountain Square Brewery keeps getting even better! Recently was flying Southwest and the brewery had a shot out as a place to visit! You can bring in food and enjoy the delicious variety of brews! Cozy couches, tons of games and now even some pinball machines! My husband and his buddy of over 20 years were a force to be reckoned with on the foosball table last visit a little over a week ago! Staff are always fabulous and can help recommend a brew if you aren't able to put your finger on that craving you're having. Parking throughout FS can get hairy but the new garage nearby helps a ton! Don't be a dummy and park at Goodwill or in other business lots where you can get towed. Better yet, use an Uber, Lyft, Bicycle, or your own two feet to bring you to Fountain Square. The area is a blast to explore and you can start and end with a fabulous brewery!

Nothing bad here. Great IPAs. Great selections. Friendly people. Had the raspberry Weiss and it was everything one could want. Give these people your money.

Full disclosure, I haven't had a chance to visit yet, but am loving that they have some of their selections in cans at Market District in Carmel so we can still support local breweries during the pandemic. I picked up a 6 pack of Soul Ride IPA which is excellent. I'm looking forward to visiting in person after Covid is under better control, but wanted to give a shout out now, and hope they can continue to hang in there over the next months.

Had a great time tasting fountain squares drinks while playing some darts with friends! This brewery was very calm and a great hang out spot to catch up with friends. The soul cider was very tasty! Can't wait to come back!

We've come here for years and loved it every time. But now that we have a puppy that can't be left home for long periods of time, we appreciate them even more!! My husband and I love Hop for the Teacher and Soul Ride!!

Place is great for local beers. Also super dog friendly. Personally enjoy the selection of beers. There is one however that I believe was brewed in a rum barrel and is too STRONG for my liking. Thankfully beer comes in many varieties and you have to have an acquired taste for what you are drinking. Also you can bring outside food in. This place is a chill spot and is a fun hang out I like to visit every so often.

I loved this brewery the minute I stepped in. There's all kinds of games (pinball, darts, board games), fantastic beer and friendly service-what more could you ask for. The art on the walls is fantastic and it's got a super chill vibe. Dogs were allowed in and their garage door was open as it was a sunny day. My fiancé and I got two different style ipas and they were both yummy. It's a beautiful destination for a bike ride to fountain square if you live in surrounding areas. We'll be back soon.

Love the vibe here, and the fact that dogs are allowed, plus the outdoor seating, pinball, friendly staff, and non-beer drink options (since I am gluten free). Now that they have merged with New Day I hope to see more hard cider and mead options.

Great taste. I enjoyed the lavender lemon mead! The taste is phenomenal. It's light and refreshing. Not too heavy either! Great patio for outdoor seating. It does seem to be smoke friendly, but there are plenty options for seating.

When I have my beer-loving friends come to Indy, I want to take them on an inexpensive brewery tour. Cue in Fountain Square's Tap Room. Our $5 intimate afternoon tour began with a free beer. We then headed into the Brewing Room for the proper tour, which was given by the Assistant Brewmaster (I hope that was the correct title). Most tours I've been on are given by one of the bartenders, so I was impressed that we got to talk to someone who's "in the trenches" everyday. Having an intimate tour allowed for a lot of questions and in turn a lot of new knowledge about the industry. When the tour wrapped up, we received a Fountain Square Brewing pint glass and hung out for an extra hour drinking a flight. This is something I will definitely do again with out-of-town guests. SIDENOTE: Recently I was looking to buy a growler of a stout or porter in hopes I could get it from one of the newer breweries in downtown Indy that I haven't tried yet. Everyone I looked at had nothing darker than a red! I knew who I could depend on though. THANK YOU, Fountain Square, for saving the day!

Great brewery with a easy to get to location. I think the noise level in the pub area is a bit high. But, the beer is great and the workers are nice. I enjoy that the offer a flight of 6 beers for $5. And they have a self-serve water station. I would like to come here when it is not packed and hang out drinking beer with friends. If that happens I will update the review and let you know how it goes. I like it!

Do you have wine or other cocktails for the non-beer drinkers that might be in my group?

Thanks for your question. We do have cider, wine, and NA mocktails, but we do not have cocktails or serve any liquor at FSB. Cheers!

Can you bring in food from outside?

    Yes

    Do they serve food?

I think they have some snacks, but not a sit down meal.

The DJ was poppin and we really enjoyed the music. And the food was fantastic. The avocado toast was $17 and it was heaping with greens and avocado. I would definitely recommend. The two eggs meal came with four slices of bacon and some diced potatoes. At $18, it was not worth the price, but was still good. We could have made that at home for less than half the price. I got the orange mocktail and it was fantastic. The problem was I ordered another one and it never came. I guess the server forgot to put it in. My partner got the Morning Ritual and it was super tasty. 10/10 on the cocktails. I think we would have had a way better experience had we not been forgotten in the corner and baking in the sun. We were quite sweaty and ready to leave by the end. We asked for the check and waited 15-20 minutes for it. Probably would not come again.

I went there late at night and by looking at the outside there was nothing that really stood out to me, BUT as soon as I stepped in it was a WHOLE vibe! Their tiki bar experience from top to bottom was decked out in tiki figures and every tropical decor you can imagine, it definitely felt like I was walking into a Hawaiian resort. The drinks were so fancy and they came in a fancy glass, tiki mug, or coconut shaped mug which I loved! I ordered the Tambaran Firedancer and I'm so glad I did, it came with a whole fire show and it tasted great. It had the right combination of alcohol and other juices. I also ordered the coconut cream pie and it was good. EDIT: My experience was so great that I came here again the next day and had an even better experience (didn't think they would too off the first one lol) The staff were so friendly and welcoming to me, they really made the night unforgettable! My party ordered a bunch of food, all of it pretty mid, including a cuban sandwich sans pickles. We were told the pickles could not be removed as this would, and I quote, "ruin the integrity of the sandwich". It's just a Cuban, my guy. We really got that excuse because the sandwich was clearly premade many MANY hours (possibly the day) before and to remove the pickles would not do anything to remove the pickle flavor which at that point had seeped into the sandwich. This may be Indy but not everyone is a gringo with no knowledge of spanish food and/or the fear to question such a bonkers statement. You're also not Julian Slowik, and asking to not have what is essentially a condiment on a sandwich should not be a issue unless you've got an (unwarranted) inflated ego, or, as I said, the sandwich was premade so long ago that removing the pickles would not matter re: pickle flavor. The effing gall. Strange Bird in Irvington has fantastic ramen and wonderful tiki drinks, fyi.
