I visited Guggman Haus and ordered the soft pretzel! The pretzel arrived perfectly warm, soft on the inside, and had just the right amount of salt. It is served with their incredible haus-made beer cheeseand a side of tangy whole grain mustard--the combination of the two is a total game-changer. The atmosphere here is really chill. Would definitely order just the beer cheese next time.

Lots of seating , but I loved this area with actual furniture

Large brewery with lots of seating both inside and outside. They have a pretty large menu with a good variety of styles that would please both serious and casual craft beer drinkers alike. The location is kind of an industrial area right outside the main downtown area or so it seems (at least to a tourist in town for just the weekend) The place seems very dog and family friendly. I didn't order any food myself, but I think they have a full kitchen here. Lots of fun merch for sale and lots of beers to go as well. During my trip, they had a barrel aged milk stout on tap. These are pretty much my favorite type of beers so I knew I had to order that one. I thought it was really tasty. I couldn't stay long and I couldn't order too much beer because I was driving and I was on brewery crawl leg on my trip. But definitely a place I could see myself hanging out at a lot if I lived in the area.

Haus burger and a sour flight

They have a huge beer selection and the best part (to me) is there are always multiple sours. I was able to get a whole sour flight and there were still ones I didn't try! Lots of seating options so great place to meet with bigger groups. Big food menu that you order at the counter so also easy for ordering on your time. I did the haus burger last night and loved it. The place was packed and it still came out quickly. Good brewery option for families too as I always see kids here. There are some game options and giant connect four. When weather is better there is outside seating options too! Great brewery choice for anyone, but checks all the boxes for families!

This is coffee brew house and beer brewing as well.....we saw the coffee was packed at 11am.... Must be good stuff. We're doing two flights: IPA snd stouts. The IPAs are really good. Their stouts are perfect for this cold weather. They offer food as well. Tavern style fair.

There are three places I seek out for Sour beer in the Indy area and this is one of them! We tried the Triple Berry and the Raspberry Mango. Insert drooling emoji here. It just so happened Guggman Haus is having their Oktoberfest this weekend. There will be live music later today and a flower crown making pop up event! You can sample what they have on tap and enjoy their spacious layout with comfortable seating. I think they have board games if that's something you're into. Family friendly environment. The food is pretty good too! The patio is mostly covered with plenty of shade and pretty flowers creating a nice relaxing ambiance. Bonus that they're dog friendly and have complimentary Milkbones! Will be back again soon!

This place has really grown in the last few years (they opened in 2016). The old house is now a coffee shop and they have taken over the big warehouse(?) next door connecting the 2 buildings with a biergarten. The warehouse is huge with a big event space and a little museum (with an old firetruck) inside. There is a snack bar where you can get some German food too.

First time in since the expansion over 2 years ago. Such a wide variety of beers and all are really really good! The staff here is the best. When you go, just remember they usually have a queued line to get a beer. Unless it's really slow, you may have to wait a short time to get a beer. I've seen rookie line jumpers try to skip the line, but it's all good. They have a fireplace inside and some fun games to play on ample tables. Outside seating is available too. They have pretty good food here too, I especially liked the big fry baskets. The best way to get here, in my opinion, is by bicycle. When you come here for the first time, I would recommend staying for a second pint, because ... why not?

Pilsner #008 with Citra and El Dorado hops!

My favorite brewery in Indy! This is brewery does something perfectly, something that many breweries brag about: mixing the old with the new. They have tons of traditional beers, and tons of wacky new-school beers. And, crucially for my tastes, they have a handful of beers that straddle the line between old-school dogma and cutting edge trends. Case in point, they had multiple experimental pilsners. I got them all. They all were crisp and clean like a lager, with a delightful tropical bight of non-traditional hops. I loved the ambiance as well, it felt so cozy. Like a mountain lodge, or a building in a National Park.

Pretzel, fries, pulled pork

First off - this place has a great patio space, and tons of indoor space so if you're going with a group of friends it's the spot to be. Second - it will make all your fried food fantasies come true. Theres literally nothing better than a pretzel with beer cheese and sharing a basket of fries with dipping sauces. The food here is as a good as the drinks! It is a smaller menu, so if you're picky or have a lot of dietary restrictions it might not be the place for you.

Guggman Haus is like coming over to your favorite friend's house. The big one that's cozy, has room for everyone, and super inviting. I came in on a snowy night to find lots of groups. Some were eating, some were drinking, some were playing games, and some were doing all the things! There's a super cozy fireplace that I liked seeing (and being near). The food options are good considering it's a brewery, where oftentimes it's your choice of jerky or chips. I had the burger and fries. They were good! I also had a flight of beer while I was there. Beer is super subjective, but I enjoyed the milk jug stout and the hazy IPA (riverwalk maybe?). Lots to try! Definitely a place I'd come back to again with friends.

One of the hidden gems of Indiana in my opinion. They started small... just a house and brewed in basement. They were the first on the scene with milkshake IPA's and they are by far the absolute best versions of them on the market today. I'd put up their milkshake up against anyone's... they will win... every time. Great German beer done just like it's done in the motherland. Wonderful German food that rotates, lots of space inside and outside. Great beer, pizza, food, and a great place to just chill and relax. Glad to see they have expanded... more people need to try this brewery... it's just AWESOME!

Tried a flight and a couple different food options. Unfortunately they were undergoing menu changes and some of the items we wanted to try were no longer available. We really enjoyed are beers. The curry bratwurst gave chef boyarde vibes but we enjoyed the regular bratwurst more. The concept of a cheese cake flight sounded fun but we're all generic sauces and regular cheesecake. The coffee from across the way had a lot of fun flavors but were very sugary and slow service there. It was also annoying to have to wait in all three lines to get food beer and coffee.

Gigantic venue, great vibe for enjoying some beer. Big leather couches, fireplace, along with beerhall-style tables. Great beer selection - German staples like helles lager as well as sours, NEIPAs - there's something for everyone, beer wise. I'd give 5 stars overall for ambience and beer. Food is more like 3.5 stars - I wouldn't come here for the food, but it goes well enough with the beer. Schnitzel is huge, though a bit heavy on the breading. Fries and chips are nice and crispy, but over-seasoned, IMO.

Spent the evening at Guggman with the fam!

Ask the Community - Guggman Haus Brewing Co

Are your "Into the Wild" Sours available at anyplace around Fishers where I live?

Hi Byron! We do distribute around the city, but there are no establishment near Fishers that currently carry our sours regularly. If you have any places in mind, we'd love to connect with them!

Are dogs allowed inside?

I saw dogs when I was there!

Can we bring a birthday cake? We plan on buying food and drinks.

With the new building open, are there now non-alcoholic drink options for people? (Sodas, mocktails, etc.?) We're looking to host a happy hour here but want to make sure there is something for everyone.

They have kombucha and soda in cans. No mocktails though

Can you bring in outside food?

The Cabin Kitchen is now open within our taproom! (It has it's own Yelp page, too). We no longer allow outside food.

However, looking on the outside can't begin to prepare you for the wonder of what's on the inside of this former residence that now serves as the Office of the President for Indy's Marian University. The mansion was first built by James Allison, co-founder of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Indianapolis 500. The ceiling's Tiffany stained glass windows allow the sun to shine brightly inside. The mansion's most impressive room was, in fact, originally designed as a marble aviary by Allison to contain his wife's exotic bird collection. The 2-story, red-brick arts and craft style home continues to have an expensive chandelier imported from Germany, a sunken conservatory, and a 2-story pipe organ. Seriously. The property itself is remarkable. Atop a cliff that overlooks a wetland, the property includes greenhouses, ponds, and orchards. Seriously, I would become Marian University's president just to spend time in the office. Allison passed away in 1928 and the property remained unsettled until it was acquired by the Sisters of St. Francis - the founders of Marian University. At one point, public tours were offered but this is no longer the case. You can, however, rent it for events (which is how I've been inside, though it's definitely not wheelchair friendly in any real sense).

One reviewer stated "The Allison Mansion remains perfectly restored and beautiful to an almost eerie degree." Eerie alright--there is a disquiet about the Mansion: it is said to be haunted! Builder James Allison was a wealthy man and founder of the Indianapolis Speedway and Allison Engineering Company. The mansion was built between 1911 and 1914 and is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Allison died young from pneumonia at age 56. The mansion was later sold to what is now Marian University,. However, many locals and visitors feel that Allison never really left the building! Most stories claim Allison still haunts the mansion, rearranging books in the library and furniture as he sees fit. But there are other ghostly goings-on here: the spirit of a little girl who drowned in the basement pool still lingers around the mansion. "Visitors claim to have seen the ghost of a little girl and even heard shrill screams and heartbreaking cries from the basement. Voices in the attic have also been reported," said www.onlyinyourstate.com. I can understand the ghost of Allison hanging around: this place is plush! No expense was spared while building the two-story, red-brick, arts-and-crafts-style Mansion. The exquisite marble aviary was built for Allison's first wife's exotic bird collection, Also impressive: the expensive chandelier imported from Germany, a sunken conservatory, and a magnificent music room with a two-story pipe organ. Outdoors, enjoy lush gardens, manicured lawns, greenhouses, ponds, and orchards that overlook a wetland now restored and maintained by Marian University. Upon Allison's death, there was some concern about the historic property's fate. Bless the Catholics: Allison Mansion was eventually acquired by the Sisters of Saint Francis, who also founded Marian University. Allison Mansion is still part of the university. It is open for public tours and can also be rented for private events. The Mansion is a feature on annual Halloween Ghost Tours. 5 YELP STARS for spooky spectacular!

The lobby area is very attractive, decorated in beiges and cream, and I could see using this for cocktails, a reception line plus so much more. It worked well tonight for purchasing tickets plus an area to sit and relax while enjoying the fireplace. The versatile ballroom is quite large and can handle everything from a wedding, conference to special events. One of those special events is the Holiday Craft Show tonight. The Event Center has a neutral color scheme and can accomadate most bridal or conference color schemes. This proved to be true with all the colors associated with the Holiday Craft Show. Tonight all different color schemes were used and all the crafts looked wonderful. With this neutral backdrop any decor theme would work nicely allowing brides or companies a great deal of flexibility and creativity. The Holiday Craft Show was a huge draw. Many different types of vendors filled the ballroom carrying Christmas decor, wreaths, jewelry, clothing, wool mittens, woodworking projects, signs, candles, crocheted items, lap blankets, floral arrangements and much more. I love the Chat function on the Hilton app that allowed me to converse with the front desk and state my request ahead of time. That is another reason why I am a Gold member with Hilton! I also like the bar and lounge area in this Hampton. It was much larger than I expected with a wraparound bar and big screen TVs. I want to give a shout out to the bartender, Shakeata, who was a pleasure to talk with and who makes a great cocktail! There is also a nice fitness facility and a free breakfast, with good options. Parking is also free. Overall, everything was great. The only issue I had was the shower and the lack of adequate hot water right away from the shower head. It took a FULL MINUTE for the warm/hot water to come on (around 11am). Considering it was 20 degrees outside at the time, it was initially concerning that I may have to contact the front desk to determine if the hot water system was working properly. I was on the 6th floor (top floor) and maybe it takes that long for the hot water to reach that level, but this might be something the management may want to look into at this facility.

Now, this space is called Dallara Experience Hub, and it mostly serves as a venue for events. That's how I ended up here! I visited Dallara for a media event. One of the things that initially struck me about the space is that it's so open and airy. There is a lot of natural light coming through the huge windows that face Main Street. That's definitely nice. The second thing that struck me is that it was incredibly loud in there! The floors are concrete and the ceilings are high, so the sound of people talking bounces all around. I had a hard time hearing the people right next to me. But the space itself is nice and minimalist. There was lots of room to move around, and there were even Indy cars displayed here and there. Plus they are selling "spare" parts. For example, you can buy the bottom of an IndyCar and make a table or buy a seat and make a video chair. These same chairs are used for their theater seating. I paid $15 for a tour. I saw a short film on the history of Mr. Dallara, from his start with Enzo Ferrari in Italy, to Lamborghini, then Maserati and F1, and eventually IRL and IndyCar. Everything in an IndyCar and IndyCar Lights except the engine and electronics is manufactured by them. The carbon fiber "tub" that the drivers sit in is so light you can pick it up with one hand. Did you know they are developing an autonomous car (driverless) for the IndyCar Lights? It is to be used for R & D purposes to test tires for instance and it goes 180 mph. It is planned to be showcased in Las Vegas soon. They have also worked with Raytheon Missile systems in Tucson to adapt their quick release system to missiles on planes and other military vehicles. Something else I learned was that paint is no longer used on today's race cars because it is too heavy. What you see on cars is basically a giant decal provided by a graphics company that also works inside this facility. And I did not know A.J. Foyt racing is located directly across the street. The tour was short but highly interesting for an IndyCar fan such as myself. Even some of the houses in Speedway near here are decorated with racing memorabilia and Indy 500 signs. See you this weekend at this year's 2nd IndyCar Road Course race along with the NASCAR double header.
