Had reservations for 6:15 on a Friday night and it was packed! It's a large establishment with lots of seating options so it's good for couples or groups. They have a few bars too for singles both inside and outside. Had a house salad which was very good and flavorful and ordered the Ahi Tuna- careful of the wasabi rice- it sneaks up on you with the spice! Husband got a 8 of fillet (medium rare- more on the rare side) and it was super tender and flavorful. Service was great. They do valet for $5 + gratuity. Would recommend for a nice dinner! read more

We dined at H Steakhouse for the first time last night and were so impressed! Love the ambience, setting and aesthetic of everything. Love there is outdoor patio areas also so you can enjoy the nice weather but have fine dining also. For cocktails we got the imposter and old fashion. The imposter was for me and oh goodness this is my new favorite cocktail ever. Rate 12/10! For appetizers we had the crab melt crostini. Very yummy and had a hint of spice. Dinner I got the Alaskan halibut and it was so amazing. It was light and flavorful and the perfect amount of food. Good amount of food for the price you pay also. Highly recommend the Alaskan halibut! My husband got the 16oz boneless ribeye with blue cheese crust and bernaise. He raved about it and also said it was very yummy. We got the truffle fries also with dinner and those were so savory and delicious. For desert we got the tiramisu espresso martini and the cheesecake. The tiramisu espresso martini was so good. I will say if you like your espresso martini with strong coffee flavor then just get their regular espresso martini as the chocolate liquor gives the martini a creamy texture. Me and friend are in town for a work event and decided to eat here last night. We are very glad we picked this spot. One downside, they had a very limited beer selection. However, their upside is the extensive wine and cocktail list. We started off with the Crostini appetizer. My friend ordered the Scallops and I had the Berkshire Pork Chop. We also ordered shareable sides of Mashed Potatoes and Mac & Cheese. My Pork Chop was excellent with a perfect char and tender, cooked Medium. The Mac & Cheese was the best side. The menu features several steaks including tomahawk, porterhouse, ribeyes, NY strip steak and filets. Also on the menu are lamb chops, pork chops, chicken, and more. There are three main dish salads. The Harvest salad is excellent, with grilled corn, avocado, mozzarella cheese, eggs, tomatoes, and bacon. The Italian Knots are amazing, served hot with seasoned butter and honey. Other appetizers include oysters, root beer glazed pork belly, shrimp and calamari. Seafood includes lobster, salmon, tuna, and red snapper. This steakhouse may very well be Westfield's newest crown jewel. Offset from the US 32 main stretch and next to the local secret of Park St, H is situated in a location that is perfect for date nights and dinners where you need to make an impression. The entrance and front end of the restaurant are filled with windows, giving the front seating area a bright atmosphere. We were seated promptly at our reservation time and our server, Espy, greeted us within minutes. A quick word about this young man: I have dined at five star restaurants around the world and I have never had a server as polite, skilled, and attentive as him. He's the pinnacle of excellence. The food is phenomenal, hands down. From the best Old Fashioned I've ever had to pork belly that you could cut with a spoon. The steaks are woodfire grilled and the best way to describe them would be if you could ask a genie to grant you a perfect steak on the grill. And the butter cake puts St. Louis one's to shame, and that's what they're known for. Westfield might eventually get a better steakhouse but the bar has been set incredibly high. read more

We went on Thursday evening and the place was packed. Parking is hard to find but there's a parking garage nearby. Valet parking was also available for $5. Food was good. Staff was attentive but service was slow. From appetizer to entree, there was a bit of a long wait time. Calamari was bit overly fried I thought since it was chewier than other places. You can see in my picture. It looks overly fried. My entree was excellent but pasta was overcooked. H-Mac is a burger on a French bread that was served with some fries. We asked if we can upgrade to truffle fries but that wasn't allowed. I don't understand why they couldn't up charge few more bucks for it. All the other places do that. So we ended up ordering a truffle fries that wasn't all that great. Ended the night with brown butter cake and it is the best dessert you can have it out there! The restaurant is very spacious. I wanted to say it's a great place to celebrate a special day but it kinda sucked that they gave us a table by the entrance. I think they should put up some plants or divider imo. Went for my birthday dinner and loved it! Beef wellington is my favorite (but hard to find) food-- so was super excited to try H Steakhouse's Beef Wellington. It was phenomenal, as was the brown butter cake we had for dessert. The steak was flavorful and the puff pastry was perfectly crisp and flaky. Our server was friendly and helpful and the interior of the restaurant was beautiful- we kept saying it felt like we were on vacation in a restaurant inside a nice resort. It does get a little noisy, but not unreasonable. We parked in the garage down the street, but they also offered valet if you prefer not to walk. Will definitely be back! read more

We went here to try a newer and locally owned spot in the area. The food was overall alright. My husband got a salad and a steak which he said was good. I got the burger which was fine but had wayyy too much sauce on it. Even speaking as a sauce girly, it was too much. Our food also took over an hour to get to us while it wasn't even busy and a table next to us that ordered later than us got their food way before us. The service was pretty good and our server was nice (can't remember his name unfortunately) but there was someone (I believe the owner's wife) who was being somewhat chaotic around the place (yelling at bus boys in front of customers, rudely interrupting our conversation with our waiter, drinking at the bar and then working, etc.). I've been several times since they've opened, and I believe they are past the hiccup stage. No more plastic cups, appropriate music volume, and reasonable wait times. One thing that has been consistent is the food! Caesar salad is great. The dressing is spot on with flavor. I had the Wellington the first time I was there. It was good, but I just think that maybe it's not for me. On the other hand.. the filet.. the best I've ever had. The wood grill adds so much flavor, that nothing compares. Perfectly cooked every time and melts in your mouth. Paired perfectly with their mashed potatoes. The fact that I can go out for a steak and get upset that I can cook one better at home, happens all the time. The other night I had to admit at dinner that I can't make a filet that even competes. We had a good overall experience at H Steakhouse and will definitely be back, which is why I'm leaving 4 stars. The food itself was very good, and the manager was kind and helpful, which we appreciated. That said, the service was disappointing and had several avoidable issues throughout the night. The music was extremely loud, which may have contributed to some communication problems with our server. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out medium well, and I also ordered a tiramisu espresso martini but received a regular espresso martini instead. At the end of the meal, our table was split into two checks since we were on a double date, and the same card was accidentally run twice. When we brought it up, there was some pushback at first until we showed exactly what had happened so it could be corrected. None of these issues completely ruined the evening, and the food was still enjoyable, but with multiple mistakes throughout the meal, it would have been nice to see a little more acknowledgment or effort to make it right. It was fine. I'm glad we ate there, and I would definitely go again if friends or family want to go, but I'm not sure that I would seek out going. I do think small changes could definitely be made to make this restaurant a standout. What worked: -Hostess stand -Valet (we didn't leverage but seemed to be running smoothly and quite busy) -Ambiance - I especially LOVED some of the chandeliers -Being one of the few places in the Indy area to serve Beef Wellington -Busser- did a nice job of clearing plates and bringing fresh silverware for entrees after appetizers. -Price point - was very reasonable, and entrees come with mashed potatoes & broccolini. I definitely would have spent at least $150 more should I have eaten at another north side steakhouse (Ie 1933 or Anthony's) Opportunities: -Over cooked shrimp- it wasn't bad enough to send back, but definitely something to iron out. However, the table next to us did get asked how their shrimp was, and the gentleman advised as such and the server then proceeded to talk down to him that he didn't know what he was talking about. I found that quite disrespectful. Especially since he was polite and simply providing candid feedback that was requested. Had I been asked how our appetizer was I would have provided the same feedback. I believe we were asked how it was upon the appetizer being delivered to our table not after we began eating it. -Server - our server appeared to likely never worked at any up scale restaurant and hadn't had training on how to interact with guests. There was just minimal talking and checking up on us, which I found fairly odd for a server to just only take order as quickly as possible and we rarely saw her. I'm assuming maybe it was due to where we were seated, idk. Everything was timely so it isn't like we were waiting for any lengthy amount of time. -Bathroom faucets-very nice and clean bathroom, but the pressure on the faucet is incredible and splashed water everywhere when I washed my hands. This was our second visit and things just aren't getting any better. Budget an hour or so to get your food after ordering. Not sure why that's happening because the restaurant was not very full at all. Once again the steak was a very poor cut of meat and very hard to cut and chew. I don't know how you mess up broccolini but they did. No one liked it at the table...weird taste and cold. Mashed potatoes were cold, even though I didn't order them and asked for a substitute. Curiously they don't have bread, which is frustrating when you're waiting that long for food. And, there are no side salads on the menu. Server was great. Atmosphere spectacular. But the wait time and the terrible food overshadow the atmosphere. The value is not there. That was probably the last time, can't imagine returning. We gave it twice. read more

Exceptional Staff Undone by One Unprofessional Ownership Interaction My spouse and I recently visited H Steakhouse and left deeply disappointed, not because of a simple mistake in the kitchen, but because of how that mistake was handled by management. I want to begin by recognizing that our experience was not negative across the board. Before dinner, we spent time at the bar and enjoyed a couple drinks. The bartenders were outstanding, friendly, attentive, and professional. Our server was equally excellent throughout the evening. Both provided the level of hospitality you would expect from a quality steakhouse, and we tipped both well over 25 percent because their service genuinely deserved it. Unfortunately, the experience unraveled once our entrées arrived. After waiting well over an hour for our steaks, both were significantly more done than the medium rare temperature we had ordered. We expected a warm red center. Instead, both steaks had hot pink centers throughout with no hint of red, making them much closer to medium than medium rare by any steakhouse standard we have experienced. We politely asked that the steaks be remade. At that point, Nick, the owner's son, came to our table. Rather than listening to our concerns or simply allowing the kitchen to correct the issue, he immediately took a confrontational and argumentative approach. He repeatedly insisted that the steaks were cooked correctly the first time and proceeded to explain why we were wrong about our own order. To be clear, we were not demanding a refund, creating a scene, or asking for anything unreasonable. We simply requested that our steaks be cooked to the temperature we had ordered. Before Nick arrived, we were perfectly willing to wait for the steaks to be remade and were prepared to continue enjoying our evening. What changed was the interaction itself. Nick informed us that the steaks would be remade, but not before lecturing us about how incorrect we were. His tone was dismissive, condescending, and remarkably unprofessional. In the hospitality industry, there is a significant difference between disagreeing with a customer and arguing with one. Telling paying guests that they are wrong while refusing to acknowledge their concerns is not customer service. The irony is that the kitchen's mistake was entirely recoverable. Steaks can be recooked. Orders can be corrected. Most customers understand that. What cannot be easily corrected is making guests feel disrespected and unwelcome. By the time the conversation ended, the evening had been so thoroughly soured by Nick's behavior that we chose to leave without eating dinner at all. Not because the steaks needed to be remade, but because the manner in which we were treated made it clear that our business and feedback were not valued. It is especially unfortunate because the bartenders and our server worked hard to create a positive experience and represented the restaurant exceptionally well. They were professional, accommodating, and deserved every dollar of the gratuity they received. The only negative interaction of the evening came from the person who should have been setting the standard for customer service. A premium steakhouse should deliver more than good food. It should deliver professionalism, hospitality, and respect when issues arise. H Steakhouse failed in that regard. We arrived expecting an enjoyable evening and were more than willing to work through a simple kitchen mistake. Instead, we left hungry, disappointed, and shocked by the behavior of someone representing ownership. The overcooked steaks were a problem. My wife and i came with some friends for her 30th birthday. Parking was very difficult. We were about 15 minutes early and ended up being almost late due to having to park far away. Our drinks were great and we got Calamari as an app which was also fantastic. Our service was good as well. I got the 10oz Filet and it was just chewy and not great flavor. very underwhelming for a steakhouse. My wife got the Ahi Tuna. The Tuna was great but the rice had so much wasabi in it that it was not edible. One bite and you had to chug water and our mouth was still burning after that. Also no complimentary birthday desert for her 30th after spending well over $300 was kind of a bummer as well. You can tell they spent $6million on this place! The velvet chairs, leather seats and chandeliers all make this experience really comfortable for a luxurious evening out. Beef Wellington and Filet Steaks were delicious. Would prefer to be able to sub sides out especially since they are priced equally. Bar atmosphere definitely seems to be overtaking the restaurant a bit with louder vibes so that could be an issue for a romantic evening. My husband and I both had ribeyes which were perfectly cooked and very tender. The bread appetizer was delicious and would do two orders next time because I don't want to share any! The music was a bit loud but not unbearable - would have been better if it were a lower volume. I didn't look at reviews ahead of time but it appears we aren't the only ones that had issues with the volume. There was a minor snafu with our order and I attribute that to Christopher not being able to hear my husband. Our only complaint was with the parking. We did valet and had to wait a lengthy amount of time for the car to come (it was cold that night). We were the only people leaving at that time but lots of people arriving.
