Vinyl lounge in the front

Ambiance is pretty damn cool. It's mainly a music venue with 2 bars. The lounge room has a vinyl listening lounge with a cool wall for chilling, I'm not sure if you can actually listen to the vinyl or not?! I've been here a few times for some pop up events and a concert. In the concert hall, there's 2 seating areas but it's very dark and I do wish there was better lighting in the concert hall where the back seating is for people to see because there were plenty of bumping around. It's a decent view of the stage from the back, just considering the height of the stage is almost the same eye level as you sit down. The seating by stage right by the bar, is better for viewing the stage. They have a bar in the vinyl listening lounge and a bar in the concert hall. Overall a cool venue, the staff are approachable and kind.

What a cool, intimate music venue next to The Vogue in Broad Ripple. You feel like you're going in a secret speakeasy and after a couple sets of stairs, welcomed into the space by an Instagrammable record wall and Live Music neon sign. Seated, I believe the space holds around 150, which really gives a personal connection with the artist you are seeing. I went for Stephen Kellogg and it was such a great place to see him! The sound was pretty good too, despite the opener thinking the batteries were dying on the mic. I didn't notice that. They also have a bar - I didn't get anything to drink but looked like beers, mixed drinks and wine.

Easily one of my new favorite venues in the city. Feels like you're not in Indy lol! I love the vibes, although I'm not sure it's accessible at all sadly. I love the layout of the space. The only thing I would recommend would be better signage for the restrooms (particular men's). They do have some non-alcoholic drinks available. Would definitely recommend attending a show here!

A few friends and I were in town for Taylor Swift Night 1 at Lucas Oil, and with so many fun Swiftie-themed events happening, we decided to keep the party going with a Taylor Swift Pop-Up Brunch at Turntable. Unfortunately, it wasn't much of a brunch at all. The food options were extremely limited--just mochi donuts and macarons--and while they had mimosas, there were no Bloody Marys. The entertainment included a DJ, bracelet-making stations, permanent jewelry, hair tinsel, and two burlesque performances, which felt a bit out of place for a brunch event. The vibe overall was just... off. My group agreed this would have worked better as a nighttime event rather than a "brunch." There wasn't enough seating, which might be fine for a dance party but not ideal for a chill brunch setting. Plus, the drink lines were long, and the mimosas were small. At $10 per ticket, it wasn't a huge loss, but it definitely missed the mark. That said, the venue itself is pretty cool, so I'd consider coming back for a concert or a different type of event in the future. This one just wasn't it.

Had so much fun here at a Taylor Swift Dance Party the other night. This used to be the Crackers Comedy Club in Broad Ripple, I believe. But it's now an extension of the Vogue that's right-sized for smaller shows and dance parties. If you've bought tickets to a dance party at the Vogue recently, there's a good chance you'll be moved over here. The venue has two main areas, the stage/dance floor and the bar. I liked having them separate unlike the main Vogue theatre area. Staff were all super friendly and it felt just as fun and safe as a normal Vogue show. I'll definitely go back!

She was being her funny and skinny and calm self, playing some of her songs from her Lost in Space album, which, at this point, is like an appendage of my body in musical form. Her album is a part of me. The Vogue is a small venue, but not extremely so. There is balcony seating, and a bar in the balcony, but you need to pay extra for this area. General admission is downstairs, and it's standing-room only. I know on the website it says that a general admission ticket grants you access to the upstairs, but when I went up there, I was immediately told that the tables were for people who paid extra. I considered paying the extra however-much-it-costs so I could sit down, but I decided to thug it out and found a corner downstairs, on the side by the stairs, to post up. Even though I was standing to the side, I still had a great view! I've seen Aimee Mann in concert one other time (she played at Royce Hall in Los Angeles with Rufus Wainwright, a long time ago), but I had never been this close to her. It was an amazing experience. There's a big bar downstairs, and they were super quick to get me my plastic cup of Moscow mule. FYI: This is not the place to get wine! They have a couple of cans of wine, but nothing in a bottle. They mostly have beer and mixed drinks. Before the concert, I was looking at all of the photos lining the walls of the bands and musicians who have played at The Vogue. It's impressive! This music venue has a long history. Lots of people have played at this humble place in Broad Ripple, which is pretty cool.

It's all standing so you can feel like a can of sardines. They were offering upgrades to the second floor which we happily took. I do like how there is a bar to sit your drinks at the railing so you can sit and have a more relaxed time. I will happily come back to the Vogue

I had the 12oz ribeye which was on the thin side but overall was a good steak. I expected a grizzly steak with a good amount of fat but it was on the leaner side for a ribeye and the whole steak was edible. My sides were fries(crinkle cut) and salad (a blen of iceberg and green leaf along with other veggies and cheese). Served with Texas toast. Overall a good value meal! Worth stopping for. The atmosphere was ok. A little stale and preppie. I believe they have another bar area which is divided by a wall, I cannot comment on that if so. Where I sat was more of a diner atmosphere with alcohol. Service was good

The Rock the Ruins people turned it all around, though, and spun the cancelled concert into a hip-hop DJ party! That is some quick thinking on their part. We got the upgraded "silver" experience, which lets you park and enter through the premium entrance by the Nature Center. I'd definitely spring for this again if I attend another Rock the Ruins concert!

Turned out they have free parking available and it's only a short shuttle ride to the venue (it's also only a 10-12 minutes walk from the parking lot.) I arrived right before show time for a sold-out show. Most of the GA areas were already filled with lawn chairs. I didn't bother bringing a chair but found ledge seating at the back by the ruins. I was cool with this arrangement but it might be too far back for some. The sound was still good and I was able to roam around the food and bar areas. There are upgrades to get closer to the stage if you choose that route. Rock The Ruins has a fairly diverse lineup of genres. There is something from Classic Rock to Country and anything in between. I lucked out because I visited on an overcast night and the temperature was just right. It will be hotter if the sun was out, and there is not much shade to speak of. Do plan for that if you are visiting for a show.

I had the gumbo and recalled it being yummy but again I was starving. Fast forward, I finished my nail appointment in ripple and had t eaten so I thought I give them a try. I got there early as the kitchen doesn't open until 5(not for sure if that's everyday). So I had a 15-20 minute wait which was totally okay with me. I asked my server which should I get: burger or wings and she suggested burger and I got the gumbo. The burger was underwhelming. Nothing special and the patty could have been a little thicker. I did appreciate the freshness of the burger salad. I like to cut my burgers. So I got up from my area and walked to the bar to ask for one. Didn't mind that at all but this is where I have a side eye. My server gets up and is like "I believe there are some back here" referring to their patio area. Proceeds to point in that direction and doesn't grab it for me. Smh. I remind her about the gumbo she apologizes and comes back out with it about 10 min or so later. The gumbo indeed was tasty. Has a nice kick that's not too much. However I could have used more meat. I had 4 quartered sausages only. The gumbo was my favorite and I'd return there for that. My rating is based on the spotty service. While she checked in on me, having me grab my Own knife after she got up did not sit well especially since at the time I was the only person there. And also the burger itself wasn't super filling.
