Review from a show on Aug 2, 2026: Fantastic venue! I consider myself a bit of an expert as I have seen the same band 200 times in all 50 states, as well as abroad. 1. Great staff, friendly and helpful. 2. Cold water offered to those in the pit to help keep people hydrated and out of trouble/getting overheated. 3. Excellent restroom facilities in the main area (stage right), including people inside the restroom to help direct and keep traffic flowing during the busiest times. No more empty stalls simply because people couldn't tell if it was empty or occupied. The ladies line moved quickly and efficiently, best ever! 4. Good food offerings throughout the venue 5. Chair rental for the lawn area (I didn't do this, as our tickets were for the pit) but lots of people did and were able to secure excellent spots in comfy locations. 6. Perhaps most important: shade in the pit and seated area in the afternoon. I love the orientation of the stage and roof. It was well planned and executed. 7. Parking: on Sundays, street parking is free. But if it isn't a Sunday, there is still lots of parking, including the State Museum parking garage. Very convenient! Don't ever hesitate to come downtown for a show, well worth it. read more

Great venue to watch a concert! You don't feel so far away like other venues from the stage. Nice size venue at White River State Park. They have a long list of concerts every year. Darius Rucker and Weird Al Yancovic were just there. They have seats you can rent for the lawn. Lots of stalls in the restroom is always nice. I like how Everwise hands out insect repellent, koozies, ponchos etc. at a booth. You never know when you will need it. Lots of stands for drinks and food on both sides of the amphitheater too. read more

I absolutely will never come to this venue again. Flew from Texas to see Turnpike Troubadours tonight ... spent a lot of money for first row behind the pit. All would have been fine until security (an older gentleman with grey hair) kept upgrading tons of people from I assume the lawn and obstructing people who paid so much for their tickets. It's one thing if you have your view blocked by people who purchased pit tickets ... but when it's blocked by a dozen people who likely paid $60 a ticket when your tickets were $300 it is absolutely ridiculous. Our entire front row section was obstructed as a result and others not in our party were complaining as well. Also for some reason it was as if they intentionally picked the tallest people in the lawn to "upgrade." Very poor decision on staffs behalf! read more

We had the good luck while visiting Indianapolis to learn that the Black Keys were playing at Everwise Amphitheater. We were able to secure tickets the same afternoon, amazingly, and attended the show. We walked from our hotel, which was the JW Marriott and very close by. I would point out that you need to be sure which gates to enter by as some may not be open for evening shows. At least that was our experience. All this being said, and having walked around inside the facility while the show was underway, it was my impression that the view of the stage from any seat was spectacular. The sound system and the lighting effect were well orchestrated, and the facility staff were very courteous. There were no "traffic jams" among the crowds while trying to enter or exit. Everything moved quite efficiently and I was very comfortable while attending a performance at this venue. read more

I love the entrance into the Amphitheater through the park and statues or along the canal. Really makes you feel like you're leading up to something exciting - which you are - you are about to see a dope show! So far I have seen Modest Mouse, Flaming Lips, and Two Door Cinema Club, each one a major win. I've been lawn and right in front of the stag and equally enjoyed both. Even if you want a little more space and go somewhere up the hill where you can't exactly see the stage, there is still such a vibe with the lighting, trees, and park setting. Food-wise? I was a happy camper. The service for food and drinks was very efficient and friendly. There were plenty of places to sit and eat comfortably. I was a little disappointed that all the food stands on my side (the far side) of the theater closed early (I had my eyes on chorizo nachos) but I just walked around, back to the entrance. I highly recommend the reuben styled bratwurst - it had a lovely crisp on the casing. And the cheese friends really hit the spot. I also thought the promotional refill shaker was really really cute. Do not purchase the VIP club upgrade if you have lawn seats. The VIP tent does not have a viewing area to see the stage. Even though we spent over $200 for access plus the price of the tickets, we couldn't watch any of the show. The lawn was so packed there was no place to even stand when we left the tent to watch. Every time we tried to watch from anywhere else we would get chased away be employes. We had to watch the whole show from a monitor in the tent that had a video delay about one second. Biggest waste of money ever. It's good if you have reserved seats. read more

The investment into this venue has paid off. It remains a true gem of an outdoor venue. Obviously, you are subject to the whims of mother nature. So they are going to be some nights where the weather simply does not cooperate. But that's not the fault of this excellent venue. The sound insight lines are excellent. And a lot of great acts are visiting this venue. read more

I had enjoyed myself at this venue. I was really happy that I came to Fever Fest which was held here during WNBA All Star Weekend. The tickets I had were in good seats and it was under the pavilion which it was covered if it had rain even though the rain could come through the sides. Luckily during the time I was there it didn't rain. There was parking for the event right at the location for $30 or parking for $20 at the baseball field. We had parked at the baseball field. It wasn't a bad of a walk. The only downfall is I wish there was more than one entrance and exit way so you didn't have to walk far at the end of the event when you were ready to leave. We had bought food which the price was your typical price for an event of this nature. Also they had it decorated nice. I would definitely come back to an event here. read more

I enjoyed this venue. Came here for the fever fest during wnba all star 2025 and enjoyed myself. Parking onsite was $30, across the street at the Indians was $20, so we ended up parking down the street at meter parking, the walk wasn't bad. This was my first time here and I didn't know where the entry gate was, I think they could have had more signage to display where to enter. Getting in wasn't bad because the event already started. They have a clear bag policy that has to be certain size. I noticed they had restroom facilities available and stands to buy food and drinks. Basketball activities were set up around and then they had the stage with seats and lawn area available. I purchased a cocktail in a shaker cup and was told that if I bring it back it's $5 cheaper. The regular cost is $26 and the bartender Paulina recommended the strawberry lemonade with tequila (it comes with vodka on the menu u) so I went with that and glad I did, it was really good that I'd get it again. She also said it's a double shot in the shaker cup, and I definitely felt it. We had seats for this event, I didn't see labels of the seating so I looked it up to find our section. The seats are basic, nothing too comfy about it but glad we had seats which did have overhead cover though it wasn't raining thankfully. Came to see a concert with my sister last week and had a great time. Security was really quick even if you decide to bring a bag, blanket, food, etc. The merch line went quick as well. They have plenty of food and drink stations on the way towards lawn or seats. Restrooms were clean and lawn had clean accessible spots with good view of the stage. I had a hard time finding a water refill station for empty water bottle but there is one on far left side of stage near the restrooms. The sound quality is great at venue. read more

Nice outdoor venue, not a bad sightline anywhere. Security line was run efficiently BUT the same bag that has been allowed into several other venues was mysteriously "too large" for this one so I had to take it back to the car or check it for $5. We were there early enough so I took it back to the car & stuffed what I needed into my jacket pockets (kind of defeats the purpose of a bag check since I wasn't wanded going thru the "no bag" security line). I don't know who controls concessions but $28 for a 10oz vodka-lemonade? And the bartender smiles & says "if you bring this cup back you get $3 off the next one." Heck, I already can't AFFORD a next one! Restrooms were clean, ushers were friendly & helpful, getting in / out of the venue was easy & everything pretty much ran on time. The stage crew is incredible. They did 2 total set changeovers in under 15 minutes each. Again, another "I don't know" - who controls the artists' volume but the opening act was so loud it was unbearable. The drums almost affected my heart rate. And the headliner's mic made him sound like he was on AM radio. Nice place, maybe I just chose the wrong concert. read more

Michael Franti was at Everwise so I needed to be there! This is a great venue. Parking is relatively easy as long as there aren't multiple events in the area. The grounds around and inside the venue are awesome. Love the option of the lawn seats on the hill or covered seating. Nice restroom facilities that are well thought out for women. There were enough vendors for food and drink. I didn't see any food trucks that I saw mentioned on their website but no biggie. I found all the staff at the event very friendly and helpful. The best concerts are the unexpected concerts, I've found. I got to see Andrew Bird and Iron & Wine perform this summer at TCU Amphitheatre on a whim, with about two hour's notice. It was just one of those things, where someone had an extra ticket and I had the time and means to attend. I had a great time -- partially because the concert was free to me. (Things that are free are just exponentially better.) And part of it is because my seat in TCU Amphitheatre was great. I sat in one of the chairs near the grass area, and I could see and hear really well, and there were huge TVs showing what was going on on stage, too. There were lots of concession tents, so I never had to wait long to get my canned wine (the only kind of wine they sold at the show). Be aware that TCU Amphitheatre has a bag policy in place. You can only bring in a bag as big as will fit in the palm of your hand, so my little clutch wallet was fine, but I saw a woman who had a fanny pack stopped and told that she needed to check her bag for $5. So plan accordingly! read more

I've never attended a concert at this lovely venue, but after tonight, I will definitely be back. I was so impressed how quickly we made it through the line for the bag check and ticket scan. The bar lines moved quickly as well, but to no surprise, the drink prices are extremely high. You can find liquors, beers, and bottled or canned water. The drink vendors are set up well for large crowds on a grassy hill. It was a nice spot to stand around and enjoy your beverages and chat with friends. They do allow you to bring a small, unsealed water bottle that can be refilled at one of their water fountains. I didn't see the water fountains, but I was told I could find on each side of the amphitheater. I had to research what type and size bags were allowed. The following is the bag policy I found for entry into the facility, and if not met, you must return your bag to your vehicle. They allow clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC tote bags no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or small clutch bags (6" x 9"). Again, if not met, you must leave the line to return bags to your vehicle and then return to the back of the line. The facility is an ideal venue, laid out well, and has large, clean restrooms located just inside the entrances. The restrooms were supplied well with TP, paper towels, and handsoap. Our seats were perfect! Our tickets were in the GA Upper Pavillion in Row G, and our seats were right in the middle of the row, which put us directly in the center of the stage. I loved the seats, and yes, we couldn't see their faces clearly, but the large screens handled that issue. No one sat in front of us for about 45 minutes, so we appreciate that. When the folks did arrive, they weren't 6' tall. That usually happens at most events we attend. The permanent overhead canopy is attractive and beneficial on sunny days or undesirable weather. The lawn area looked small, but the website says they have 3,500 lawn spaces and 2,500 reserved seats. My husband has always wanted to see Jethro Tull, and when he heard they were at White River Park, he purchased tickets immediately. I haven't heard Jethro Tull's music for a very long time and loved reliving their music from the 1960s through the 80s. Yes, I know, we're old. The audio could improve since we had trouble hearing the words. The images and gorgeous colors played on the screen behind the band made for a beautiful and colorful concert. It was a perfect concert and night to sit outdoors. The night was amazing with low 80°, no bugs, and a light, warm breeze. We could not have asked for a better night to see the amazing Jethro Tull at TCU Amphitheater. read more

Attended the Norah Jones concert here. While I have lived in Indy my entire life, I have never been to a concert in this space. The other people I went with had and kept saying how the updates/changes they did really make a big difference. I can only say for my first time I loved it. Entry was very organized. They do have the rule that you can't have a purse larger than your hand or you must have a clear purse but I'm totally ok with that rule. They check your purse and if yours is larger you can go to another area and have it locked up during the show and you can pick it up afterwards. That day the cost was $5. Once inside, it reminds me a lot of Ruoff Center in Noblesville but smaller. There are spots for lawn seating but then also seats where it is covered. It is very clean and the views are pretty amazing. We did have assigned seats and were able to see well even though they weren't near the front. There were several food and drink vendors so no need to eat before coming. Plenty of security and really just a nice expereince. Now that I have been once, I have started to check to see what other concerts/events that will be held here. I'll be back for sure! read more

The new TCU Amphitheater at WRSP looks impressive. The Lawn was already a good music venue, and the amphitheater adds a permanent stage with reserved seating. The covered areas are much appreciated and we will see how it holds up against weather elements. Other updated amenities include new restrooms, water fountains / filling stations, and tented event space. The permanent fixtures do take away some lawn seating space, but there is still plenty of room to roam around. The sound quality seemed fine for the most part, but being located next to a thoroughfare there bound to be some ambient noises. You definitely get a better musical experience in the reserved seating, but this being an outdoor venue I don't think it matters much to most folks. The paid parking remains the same at the garage, or you can try your luck and find street parking nearby. Get ready for special event prices for drinks and concessions. You are allowed to bring in a factory-sealed bottled water. read more

Cool venue, good courtyard area with merch and food but definitely get a seat in the amphitheater. The lawn is fairly useless unless you're in the first row or 2 behind the seats. The lawn is small and is fairly flat so you can't see the act on stage from there at all. We had to watch the whole show on the screens. I've been to similar venues where the lawn is great because it's on a hill with full view of the stage (e.g. Blossom Music Center near Cleveland). This was not like that at all. read more

My flimsy cloth purse was about 1/2 inch bigger than their box so they made me pay to check it...only to provide me with a bag for my things that is 3x the size of the purse they took away Got a hot pretzel that was as hard as a rock...there was a kind staff member that offered to switch it out for some popcorn after he felt how hard it was. Super clean & secure! I attended the H.E.R concert on 5/1/2022 with my friends and honestly was worried when I needed to use the restroom (if you're a regular concert attendee then you know my concerns) there were restrooms centrally located upon entrance and on both sides of the amphitheater and were beyond clean. The ushers were well acquainted with directions and row planning therefore able to adequately assist with helping us find our seats. One thing I loved and I'll keep in mind for the next concert is the fact that even lawn ticket holders had lawn chairs provided by the venue..... that is unheard of! NEVER STOP providing those lawn chairs. It kept the usual lawn chaos down to a minimum and I'm sure increased the safety of those that chose the lawn. read more

I would give this place a good 3 stars I've been going here for years and I have had all 5 star experiences but last night just dropped it to a 3, I went to see the Driver Era last night which they were absolutely amazing I've seen them multiple times I have nothing bad to say about them and getting into the venue was wonderful security was easygoing everyone was nice it was when I got down into the pit that things started to go downhill first they told us that we couldn't bring our cans of water down into the pit and we had to put them in cups I still don't get that and why would you sell them to girls outside if you knew they wouldn't have been allowed in and what really almost give a 1 star was this woman on the Right side of pit of your facing she had blonde hair and she was on the older side I would never have her work pit again she was awful she never listened she was lazy and she talked back I wanted to get her picture and her name couldn't get either obviously it was 87 degrees outside and it's 100s of girls packed in a tiny pit we need water so we call the lady over we have like 12 of us waving our arms cause we're thirsty and she's on the corner just talking and talking and we're yelling and then she finally looks over at us and we ask for water and she rolls her eyes like WERE The inconvenience so she finally gets the water and she gives it to us and walks past me and I ask for one and she goes "oh you finally want one I walked past you like 3 times" all snarky when in reality I already had water from before I even got into pit I was getting it for a girl behind me cause she was thirsty but whatever and then she stopped giving out water even though it was still so many girls thirsty and she went back to her little corner to talk to others again like we didn't matter and then at the end of the show I think a girl almost passed out or did pass out and we called out to security like Hey we need you and she just glances at us and does nothing and then we start screaming and finally she comes over gets on the barricade and looks down to pretend to she does something then walks away the only people that actually showed genuine concern was The Driver Eras Team and they weren't even trained for that I think that woman needs to be fired immediately though especially for how she treated us I don't know if it was because we all were predominantly young girls like 16-25 and she felt the need to show her power or what but she was awful read more

Years of attending this venue when they would just erect a stage and throw some chairs out - now, the beautiful amphitheater gives wonderful acoustics for music. The additions of the restrooms is a plus - no more waiting for an open porta potty. The security lines move quickly - especially now with mandatory paperless entry - but don't be a menace and not read what is allowed in. There are plenty of beverage and food stations around the venue. The lawn is still there looking down into the concrete, covered amphitheater - though by late summer, the grass is gone and wood chips are laid down. Make sure to bring a blanket as chairs are not allowed in typically and depending on the concert they won't hand out chairs - so it's a mixed bag. Parking - there's paid parking available around the venue. Be prepared to walk. This has become my preferred open air music venue. read more

I'll admit that I've long avoided The Lawn because I've never been fond of the parking around this area and it all just feels a little bit congested to me. I'd missed a Jason Mraz concert after my last hospitalization and amputation left me incapacitated for a while. I decided there was no way I would miss another one. So, I got the chance to check out the TCU Amphitheatre at White River State Park. The amphitheatre adds permanent staging with increased reserved seating and a serious reduction in lawn seats. The restrooms have also been significantly improved and water fountains/filling stations have been updated. There is also some spacing for events or VIP type arrangements. Parking is still a bit of a pain - there's the garage, of course, if you can get into it. There's also street parking and a parking lot across from the Indiana Government Center. As a State of Indiana employee, that's a mighty fine perk for me and close enough that it feels safe going to and from the amphitheatre. You have drinks/concessions and you are allowed to bring in sealed bottled water. How was it? This is a medium-sized venue. It's smaller with a capacity of 6,000 (2,500 for reserved; 3,500 for lawn). The $30 million renovation includes the permanent stage, artists' dressing rooms, crew accommodations, acoustic stage treatments, stage left and stage right LED video walls, the public restroom facilities, and a pretty rocking atmosphere between the urban buzz and view of White River. It's actually an ideal setting for an artist like Mraz. As a security measure, Live Nation notes "Due to enhanced security procedures, no bags or backpacks will be permitted into the venue except for small personal bags or purses (12″ x 12″x 6″ max) or clear 1 gallon bags." Overall, this was a tremendous experience. I'm never fond of heading to Noblesville and I'm pretty impressed with the accessibility measures that I saw here. On the whole, Live Nation does pretty well and the Mraz crowd was pretty perfect in terms of ensuring my view wasn't obstructed. The 5-star might be a touch generous, but I really was more impressed with the venue than I expected and TCU Amphitheatre quickly leaps into being one of my favorite venues actually located in Indianapolis. It took me way too long to get here, but I'll definitely be back. read more

Why fix things that aren't broken? That's my mindset upon first hearing of this project announcement. Then, I remember it's all about the money lol. Think of a smaller version of the always-name-changing Noblesville outdoor venue. Lots of covered seating and now a much, much smaller lawn seating. Ticket prices have gone up (both because of seated pricing and now because of covid effects) which is frustrating. Perks: a permanent structure so hopefully more shows can happen even outside of summer months? The best part for me is the nicer bathroom setup. Not a ton of them but there are nicer ones now at least that aren't port-o-lets. Mostly upset that the lawn is 50% smaller now which means more crowded areas for those looking to have the lawn experience and save some money. read more

Are you kidding me Indy, this is one of the most beautiful concert venues in the United States. What a great small place (less than 7500) with awesome acoustics. I have been to a lot of shows all over the world and when I bought tickets to this venue I knew nothing about it other than NEEDTOBREATHE was playing there. The food is basic, and beverages are also available everywhere. Additionally, the bathrooms are also the best!!!!! Clean and well stocked. Cane here for the Harry Connick Jr concert. Great seats under the awning and very reasonable prices. Really easy to enter Loads of concessions and restrooms. This is very new and well designed for medium venue size events. Concert was awesome with great sound system and two large screens to watch different stage angles. Really liked this and plan to return soon. read more

This used to be my favorite place to see concerts. The lawn was big. The amphitheater was good. They gave out free chairs and people would actually sit through concerts. So relaxing. Then they built the monstrosity that is there now and got rid of almost all of the lawn. It's absolute garbage now. But don't worry! You can still get free chairs and fall backwards down the hill. *update. Giving them one more star because the bathrooms are incredible. I've never had to wait in line. read more

This was my first visit since the redid the venue. I love the location right downtown even though you might struggle with parking. They have a clear bag policy and you can't bring chairs for the lawn section but you can have blankets. The lawn section has been limited and you can hardly see the stage when people stand up so you rely on watching the screens. The screens are high quality but I would rather see the band than the screen. The sound quality is really great. They also have a nice area for food, drinks, merch and bathrooms. This is a great venue for concerts. It's downtown so convenient location. Walking distance to several bars and restaurants. They have several vendors for beer, liquor and craft cocktails. We didn't eat there but they have more options than I thought there would be. It's smaller than other venues. Since it's smaller the lawn seats are decent. You do need to bring a blanket if you want to sit on the lawn. They do have a bag size requirement or clear bag. If you forget they would hold larger items for a small fee outside the entrance. read more
