So thrilled to have found this place! An advertisement for their "Brain Drain" trivia night brought us in, and we were very pleasantly surprised. Definitely a laid back, easy going vibe with so much vintage goodness and flair. We lived up to our team name of Robot Bimbos and won the "Dum Dum" prize for having the lowest scores. Drinks were great and the bartender was really friendly. The Damaged Goods cocktail was my favorite. We took note of their upcoming events and plan to check some of them out. read more

This place is an absolute gem! It's located right in Fountain Square and we went there this Monday to watch a Cabaret Comedy Show featuring Lillian Baxter. It was absolutely amazing! It's a nice place that has good acoustics, plenty of seating, and an overall great atmosphere. If you really want to get good seats that are close to the front, I would recommend getting there at least 30 minutes before depending on the night and performance. I would suggest eating before you go to a show, as they only have a few bags of chips and candy bars. But they do offer awesome non-alcoholic beverages. We got some CBD water and it did not disappoint. This was my first time here but it will not be my last! read more

First time here last night for "Let's Make a Date"! We had a good time and tickets were only $5! There was no pressure to participate but prizes if you did get on stage. The crowd was a mix of couples on dates, tables of just women out for a girls night, and some interesting characters in full drag. Drinks were reasonable at around $7 for a basic cocktail ie rum and coke or tequila and squirt. In this city, $7 for a drink that includes Patron is pretty good. All in all we had a $55 or so bar tab for 8 drinks and had a fun night. Definitely looking forward to going back a few times a year for different shows! read more

I just love this place. It's so swanky and chic. They always have great events & shows; lots of burlesque, singer- so g writers, DJ 's, oh, yeah, and some clowns. The bar is nice with interesting drink specials. But, unfortunately, no mocktails. Many of the shows I've been to have the doors open at 8 & the show starts at 10. Often, one needs to get there early to get a seat. The great thing is that they allow outside food. So, we go in & get a table then one of us runs over to any one of 4 or 5 restaurants nextdoor or across the street & get carry out. We get drinks from the bar & sit & have a nice dinner for a couple hours until the show starts. The staff are super chill but attentive. read more

The White Rabbit is a diverse location in Fountain Square that brings in different target audiences, which is great asset to the area and factor in their success. I've been to several great live shows, both by local and touring acts. They participate in Tonic Indy, the annual Second Helping fundraiser where local bands cover major bands/hits. You can also catch a Burlesque show and Bingo Bango hosted by a crude clown, and even participate in a dating show. This is also the spot where local DJs A-Squared (Annie & Andy Skinner) and DJ Action Jackson spin favorites for Real Talk. The downsides: - It's crazy chaotic trying to get a drink at the bar, and everyone is shoving for a place 'in line', which is non-existent. - The women's restroom ALWAYS has a major line. - It gets HOT dancing & you forfeit your entry if you need to go outside to catch your breath. If you have to stand in line again, you may never get back in. The upside: - They've got space in the back of the room with couches for you to hang out on if you don't want to be up close in the middle of the action. - I love dancing and have a great time whenever I go. read more

Disappointing- came here with my gal pals for a birthday celebration and was treated like crap. Ignored at the bar and when we ordered the 2nd round of the same drink it was completely different and watered down. I understand that we are not the target audience for this venue, but we collectively represent a million dollars in income that we would gladly share on gratuities for excellent service, but we were consistently ignored and poorly treated. I've never been to this part of Indianapolis. I liked it. The storefront, the simple rabbit sign, the neighborhood, the open feel inside, the stage, everything. Groovy! Some of the retro cocktail table chairs are crap. Oh well. The bar was well stocked and plenty of cocktails and canned beer. The stage is such there isn't really a bad seat or place to stand, unless there are people standing right up on the stage and you have a short artist. I found street parking a couple blocks away. The only true negative, the wannabe hipster doorman was talking to his pal through the entire opening act, and two full songs into the main act. What a jackass. Not whisper pillow talk either, loud deep I'm-trying-to-be-heard voices. Anyone within 20 feet of him was annoyed. We moved. Probably the best venue in the city for a cheap and fun night out. There's a wide array of regularly scheduled shows combining comedy, singing, random talents, and a touch of raunch. My favorite is the Wowie Zowie show which is a comedy talent show they do once a month. Most shows range between $5-$10. How can you beat that? The night we were there, Dorgan and Milroy (the Muncie Brothers) put on a spectacular show that mostly consisted of crazy, audience engaging contests. Unicorn mask? Check. Pin-the-mustache-on-the-incredibly-creepy-giant-clowns face? Check. I knew you were wondering. I definitely want to return in the future and catch one of their burlesque shows, as that's what most people rave about. I heard cover is generally between $5-$10 dollars for some of the bigger shows, but I believe that it's more than worth it for the drink service/show you will enjoy! I'll be back, White Rabbit. The Muncie Brothers (clown entertainment) were entertaining as always with their perverted humor and dirty mouths. Because really, who doesn't love a cussing clown? It was a full house as I've always seen it - great drink specials - 2 bingos at the same time and you're looking at a dance off. I really like the crowd at White Rabbit - creative/artsy/Idon'tgiveashit-type folk. Long Island #4 and I wanted so badly to not only get a bingo, but a dance off opportunity to boot. When I think of Fountain Square, the quirky, fun atmosphere of the White Rabbit comes to mind. The White Rabbit is one of those clubs that I picture myself owning if I were to ever own a club (unlikely to happen ). It's a club full of random events, including comedy, dancing, bingo burlesque, and the list goes on and on. My favorite event, by far, is Real Talk, which happens the second Saturday of every month. The DJs are great and the drinks are pretty reasonably priced - heads up: you'll have to pay $5 cover but it's worth it. The staff and owner are very welcoming and nice people, which goes a long way. I am so obsessed w The White Rabbit. There is so much diversity packed in this little bar. Everyone who comes here comes to have a good time. What The White Rabbit offers, to me, that no other bar offers are the types of people they serve. The White Rabbit's line of patron, especially this night was so colorful and interesting. The add said there were 3 DJs, including my fav Action Jackson, Go-Go Dancers- who didn't disappoint & live music. I'm in. I gathered my Gals. Bean and I were Gomez and Morticia. We were later entered in a costume contest. We lost but it was fun. The live music was the Velours. I'd never seen them before, and we stayed for them. The lead singer was amazing. The band was so eclectic and they worked together so well. They chatted w the crowd. Requested we all moved forward and encouraged dancing. I love this!!! I'vee only gone to The White Rabbit twice, but I will be back. The White Rabbit offers so many different type of events, music, and shows. Two words: boobies and bingo. That's what you get at Burlesque Bingo night (Wednesday) at the White Rabbit Cabaret. Picture two men dressed as clowns (one is mute, the other vulgar) running the bingo part of the show and in between games a pinup type burlesque dancer seductively takes off a piece of clothing. Drinks are cheap. When you win, you get ridiculed on stage. You win you get a pickle pin. You win you get a terrible, hilarious prize you may or may not want. You repeat win wearing the pickle you get extra prizes. The clown that doesn't talk has candy (sometimes cupcakes) to pass out to audience members. Double bingo winner?? You get to be in a dance off to settle the win. WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LIKE PEOPLE?!?!? $5 to get in the door. Show starts at 9. I also highly recommend for other events such as comedy and music acts. The 'Let's Make a Date' night is also very popular although I have yet to go. Tip: Don't go if you are afraid of clowns, buttons or f-bombs. read more

I have primarily gone here for stand-up shows, although they feature a wide variety of other events as well. It's a great atmosphere and a lovely place to take in a show. Me and a couple friends checked this place out last night to watch Indy Improv. The seating was a bit compact and uncomfortable but the venue was free to attend. There appeared to be beverages for sale but our table was never approached by any one seeking to take an order. Maybe that is their style, if you want to order a drink the bar is visible. The shows we saw were funny and kept participants thinking on their feet. Audience participation involved word suggestions so that is good to know ahead of time if you want to plan ahead. read more

I came back. I loved it! I laughed, I laughed some more, I drank some delicious libations. All of this going to FS for Yelp is really making me dig the place! The choreography of Alabaster Betty and the girls of the WRC is phenomenal. It really just makes you want to dance too. The Muncie Brothers are a riot. I would love to know what flea markets and random stores they go to to procure all of the hilarious prizes. This time, I won a beach ball, which is way cooler to me than the fake butt I won at bingo. What a great little find in Fountain Square! Whether you are in the mood for just a beer and place to chat/vegge out or a full fledged Burlesque show+Bingo, then this place is your scene! The Burlesque Bingo Bango (hosted by a clown/mime brother duo) is well worth the cover charge! Not only is the Bingo super fun, but the burlesque intermissions are fantastic! I think Indianapolis needs a bar like the White Rabbit; without it, the city would feel incomplete. I come here often for their many different shows they host like Real Talk, Burlesques Bingo, Win a Date, and different Improv Shows. The bar itself is pretty small and intimate. It tends to be very dark during almost any of their events. They do a good job at catering to the "out of the norm" events/shows, which is why I visit there so often. Where else in Indianapolis can you play Burlesques Bingo? Even their karaoke nights are better because they go a good job MCing it and allowing people to sing on a large stage makes it feel more like a show. Overall the bar is a great addition to Fountain Square and Indianapolis. I took one star away because I will say, you will wait a long time for a drink if there are more than 20 people there. From Improv to Burlesque to ridiculous dating shows this place has it all. I've been coming to the White Rabbit for a few years and it is always a blast. With the ability to showcase local and national talents this little theatre is extremely flexible. Last night we got to enjoy the Indyprov classes showcase, it was a fantastic free night! The store front gives it a feel of going to almost a secret club, a simple white rabbit neon light above the door marks the entrance. Once you enter the dim lit theatre with tables scattered about and candles lit it's like stepping into another world. Seating can be limited, but if you are more in the mood to soak in the atmosphere you can usually snag a couch seat all the way in the back, though that makes the stage near impossible to see. The bar has great prices on cocktails and beers and non-alcoholic drinks. Check out their schedule to find out what is happening, you will be surprised at the variety of shows you can find!
