Absolutely amazing! I ordered the garlic cheesy bread, honestly the best I've ever had. I would eat 20 slices if possible. I can specifically for the chicken parmigiana, which had a great review here, and it did not disappoint. Came here with a big group for dinner. I tried some of the apps which were all tasty. The bruschettas were well prepared, and the calamari were perfect. I ordered the mussels for my main, and I would definitely pass on these. The tomato sauce didn't go well with the dish and overall it was a complete flop IMO. I also had the sausage rigatoni dish and it was amazing. The sausage was soooo tasty and there was so much of it. Would definitely recommend getting the pasta here. We ordered pretty quickly, as we knew we didn't have too long before they closed and we don't ever want to be in anyone's way...though the food was good and the restaurant itself was pretty quiet, the service just wasn't there. Maialina, Maialina! This is probably the best Italian restaurant in Indy at the moment. It is a small, quiet storm in Fountain Square that is quaint, cute and the food is full of flavor. For staters, we ordered the cheese bread, marinara and the seafood fondue. The seafood fondue is to die for. You must get the fondue with the cheesy bread. It is rich in flavor with a bit of spice. You will certainly keep going back for more. We had the calamari which was lightly breaded and cooked just right, nice and tender. We also ordered the vegetarian and beef versions of the bolognese rigatoni. Both done beautifully. We ended the night with caps..the white russian was made to perfection, if you like a dessert cocktail. Parking is always available in the area and there wasn't a wait to get seated mid week, after work. I am sure this is a different story on the weekend regarding a wait. I love to bring my kindle, sit at the bar, and order a drink and some food. Jordan the manager and bartender is fantastic. Their drink specials rotate seasonally, but Jordan's lemon drop martinis are absolutely delightful. The food is always served steaming hot and is portioned so that most people will have leftovers. I have never had a bad meal or drink here. My go to meals are the shrimp primavera with gluten free pasta or the rigatoni rustica with gluten free pasta. We stopped in for devour and you definitely get your moneys worth that's for sure! So much food! The atmosphere is nice and the service was great. There's really nothing bad to say about this place, but there's also nothing really that stood out. I started with a dirty martini (w blue cheese stuffed olives) and while it wasn't a big issue I did find it odd that only one of my olives was stuffed with blue cheese. The food was all good, but the pasta dishes aren't anything you can't make at home - with maybe more flavor. It's a fun spot to come for drinks and apps or dinner with friends. We all split the devour appetizers among everyone (meatballs and bruschetta) and then got a side order of the shrimp fondue (SO GOOD!). I then got a Caesar salad and vodka pasta as my main. We live in Fountain Square and often try to come up with excuses to get Maialina for dinner. It is on the pricier end, but it is SO good. So we often come here to celebrate the good things in life. My husband is a big aperol spritz guy and says they have the best. I love the Parmesan garlic toast, Caesar salad, and bolognese. My husband is obsessed with the lasagna with white sauce. How have I not been here before. It was so good that honestly I'm already wanting to go back. The Caesar salad was great-- the right amount of salad to dressing to croutons. I then had the Gamberi pasta which I think I will have a hard time moving from. It was nice that you could specify mild/medium/hot in terms of spiciness-- I hadn't commonly been asked that before, at least not at an Italian restaurant!
