I'm always impressed by the professionalism of the staff and how they are able to handle such a large number of customers, especially on Friday nights and the weekend. After many years of being at this location in Long Beach, they consistently have a line of people willing to wait. I love the spicy tuna roll. I always order this and I hope they never take it off the menu. The food quality is higher than most dine in chains and customer service is always top notch. Though I've been coming here for years with friends and family I usually opt for appetizers as I personally feel this establishment fixates on their alcohol sales rather than food quality. Don't get me wrong, their steak and burgers as well as other items are good, but just good. There's nothing on this menu here that would knock you out of the ballpark but this is a great place to get some food if you're drunk or want a simple dinner. The chicken lettuce wrap was a surprise... chicken was tender, had mushrooms. By combining the chicken, wonton skin and lettuce sauces, you get tasty mouthful. It came with 2 sauces... sweet and mustardy. Highly recommend trying it out. We also tried the mini Creme brûlée. Nothing mini about it. It was good way to end the meal. When you are ready to pay, they will give you a small device where you can pay and print your receipt. Easy peasy. Staff was friendly and come by to check with us often. I have always enjoyed Yard House and it has been one of my favorite places to dine. However, my experience on Thanksgiving evening has changed that impression. I placed an online order around 6:15 PM, and the confirmation stated it would be ready at 6:43 PM. I arrived around 7:00 PM, anticipating holiday delays, and notified staff that I was there for curbside pickup. After waiting 15 minutes, I called to check on my order and was told it would be relayed to the team. Another 30 minutes passed, so I called again and requested to speak with a manager. I was placed on hold, and received inconsistent communication. When I finally spoke with the manager, I was told they were short-handed and my order was still being put together. At that point, I had been waiting approximately 45 minutes. I was then asked if I still wanted the order, which was extremely frustrating given the length of time I had already waited. When I attempted to express my concern, the manager advised me not to raise my voice and ended the call. I understand that holidays can be challenging and staffing may be difficult, but the customer service I experienced was unprofessional and disappointing, particularly from management. I never asked for a refund; I simply expected courtesy, communication, and accountability. Holidays are rough for me and it just got worst. I recently moved closer to the Long Beach location and have always enjoyed Yard House, but unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider returning to this location. I hope this feedback can be used constructively to improve future service and staff training. read more
