The service itself was disorganized, slow, and lacked any attention to detail. What made the situation worse was the behavior of the tall blonde manager. She was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional in the way she spoke and handled concerns. Instead of trying to resolve the issues, she came across as dismissive and unwilling to help, which only added to the frustration. Overall, everything about this experience was negative. Had a nice experience here during the Grand Prix. Despite being busy due to the captive audience of race fans, the food and drinks came out quickly and tasty. Our visit started off a little rough as no server came by our table for many minutes after the hostess seated us. I had to flag down another server for her to find the correct person. The server we flagged down was nice enough to take our drink orders in the meantime to keep things moving. Way to go above and beyond for her! Two servers came by a few minutes later explaining that she was going on break and the other guy would be helping out during her break. We ordered a couple of burgers and the ahi tuna sandwich. All of them were nicely prepared and tastier than I expected. Drinks and waters were refilled promptly. The sun was setting, so it was a nice atmosphere sitting on the patio although the sun plus the reflection off the windows blinded me from both sides. The late night happy hour menu here is very misleading. The menu clearly advertises "Late Night Happy Hour" from 10 PM to close and includes the phrase "Full menu available till late," which reasonably makes customers think the happy hour applies to both drinks and food. However, when we ordered, we were told the discounts only apply to drinks. If the happy hour is drink-only, the menu should clearly state that. As it's currently written, it gives the impression that the full menu is part of the happy hour offering. That kind of wording is confusing and sets the wrong expectation for customers. Restaurants should be transparent in how their specials are advertised. A simple clarification like "Drink specials only - food not included in happy hour pricing" would avoid this confusion. I was so excited to go back to yard house since it's been awhile but I had the worst experience. I thought about not making a review but I feel the urgency that people should be aware just so they don't have to go through what I did. I was sat at table 62 which is outside it's a two seater high table but it is at the very back almost right next to tequila jacks. My friend and I weren't bothered with the seating at first until our server and the incident that occurred there after. The server greeted us but it wasn't proper customer service etiquette it was more of looking at us up and down and very unwelcoming. She didn't smile OR greet us properly. After we received our appetizers-- we came around 330/4PM so the sun was going down they had a gentleman putting away the big umbrellas which is find I understand until one of the umbrellas touched my food. I told the food runner that served the second appetizer to my friend what had happened and they kindly took my plate and replaced it. The server did come and apologize as well. After that happened we ordered a lot of plates that didn't fit our table so they moved us. The issue I have after that incident is that I asked for ranch and buffalo sauce and never got it then I asked another food runner and they didn't bring it either... the server forgot nor did she check on our table. At the end I asked for to go boxes and she brings small boxes that barely can fit all the food.. I asked another manager for boxes they forgot. Than the gentleman that gave us table 62 which I'm sure is the highest manager walked by and I asked him. He brought it right away... at the end I never got my buffalo but got my two ranches when she came to give the check. I've never felt so neglected and disregarded at a restaurant before in my life. Yardhouse you can truly do better and I recommend you guys REMOVE table 62 where it is in the way of where you guys set all the umbrellas when it gets dark... it's literally a hazard for anyone sitting there. Got three orders of the orange chicken, asked for my chicken well done and received raw chicken. We filled up on appetizers so took the food to go not realizing how severely undercooked it was. I have to say - just okay. I absolutely love their HUGE selection of beers (many are local!) and awesome cocktail options. However, my meal was a bit lackluster and I waited nearly an hour between ordering and getting my food. Our waitress was awesome and helpful and let me sample a few beers before choosing. The hostess was kind and got us seated right away. But my food (orange chicken) had far too much sauce and the rice was overcooked. I used to go to Yardhouse a few times per month about 6-10 years ago while living in Vegas. After moving to LA, I hadnt been back until today. After today's lackluster experience, im probably done. I dont think the taste of the food was worth the trip unfortunately. If you find yourself in the area on a weekday when it's not so crowded, I highly recommend ordering at least a beverage to drink in the view. On my recent visit here, I not only discovered the magic of sunset at the Yard House - lol - I also ordered the most delicious Cobb salad. The smaller portion of the Cobb ($12.99) is pretty manageable if you're looking for a lighter, but hearty meal. It comes with baby tomatoes, edamame, carrots, radish, egg, bleu cheese, corn, bacon, avocado + ranch dressing on a bed of mixed greens. I loved the addition of the edamame and radish. It gave the salad a nice crunchy texture. And the corn? *chef's kiss* It was perfect to help balance the bleu cheese. I like a Cobb salad and this was a good one. I also had bites ofthe BBQ bacon cheddar burger ($19.49) and this too was very tasty. The burger got a little extra oomph from the garlic aioli. Genius. Best Happy Hour Menu in Long Beach in terms of selection and value. And most of the dishes tasted pretty good. Yard House was the go-to place for Happy Hour when I worked in the Valley, often meeting my colleagues after work to socialize while imbibing. Even then I really appreciated their happy hour menu, and made it a point to try other locations whenever possible. And knowing that this location in Long Beach was the original and is located in Shoreline Village on the shore of Rainbow Harbor, we planned a Friday afternoon walk to arrive a little after the start of their M-F Happy Hour from 3:00 - 6:00. We wanted outdoor seating, so put our name on the waiting list and got seated within 20 minutes. Yardhouse is known for their very large (100+) selection of draft beers. All pints are $2 off during HH, which entices you to try beers you haven't tried before (there are beer flights as well). The three of us tried different ones: House Honey Blonde ($4.99); Firestone Cali Squeeze ($5.29); House Belgian Tripel ($7.99). In terms of food, we tried 4 appetizers that were half off: - Chicken Lettuce Wraps ($8.24) - OK...my wife likes it better than I do. It comes with not enough bibb lettuce, and large chunks of terriyaki marinated chicken served in a wonton edible bowl. - Pepperoni Mushroom Pizza ($8.75) - all the pizzas at YH are surprisingly good, and this was no different. It's big enough to fill up one person and is very shareable. - Calamari ($8.49) - really good value, with a huge amount of freshly battered and deep fried small squid pieces, and two different dipping sauces. Very greasy though...became a chore to eat towards the end..would have been a great app if spread across 4 or more people. - Boneless Buffalo 'Wings' ($8.24) - skippable. The sauce was very hot and flavorful, but the chicken had been over-fried and greasy, and the quantity was mediocre. It came with a good dressing and celery sticks. There are a lot more things on the HH menu that I much prefer (not everything is deep-fried), but since the quantity is so good, you can only order 1 or so per person to fill you up. The outdoor seating is located with views of the harbor and is right next to the walkway going in/out of the Village. There are definitely good and bad seating here, and we unfortunately got the not-so-nice one: parts of it were in the sun, and was right next to a very high traffic area (my seat got bumped a few times by passing by diners). Service was good throughout, and the pricing on the final bill was correct. They don't have tableside payment processing. Briana and her teammates took care of us, with food and beverages being delivered at the right temperature, and our water being constantly refilled. Family day out! We didn't want to waste a beautiful SoCal Sunday so I made plans to take fam out. It was an easy decision coming through the shoreline since we were gonna have a couple of pups with us. I called beforehand to confirm this spot's patio dining is dog friendly. "Yes, it is!" To which I responded with, "We're on our way!" I've had multiple experience with the Yardhouse in other locations and they were all above par, and although there were many other grub choices to hit in the shoreline, this won out simply because of the great experiences from them other location runs. The pups are generally quiet on outings but we were glad to be seated in a corner so we'd have better control of them should they decided to act out. Party of four, we were served by Sandy who, I will say, is really good at what she does. (Will elaborate below.) Hubbers are I are very familiar with the menu, so we knew what we wanted to drink and to start with. We were gonna do family style so the rest of our party just sorta let us run with grub. FRIED CALAMARI: Served hot off the pan. Crispy and seasoned well. The dips elevated the overall flavor. A good starter! GRILLED AHI SASHIMI: We're all sashimi fiends, so this was a must have. Gotta say this plate is very pleasing to the eyes, as well as the palate. Fish was fresh and the sauce around it was a great sidekick as it didn't take away from the fish's main flavor. Also recommending this. SHIITAKE GARLIC NOODLES: This is ALWAYS a must have for me. I have never gone to a YH without having this and I love how consistent they are with the recipe. Someone in my party has never had it and was blown away by it. Great chew on the noods, mushrooms were sautéed soft and good garlic flavor. GET THIS! CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS: This could be a small meal in itself. The lettuce was fresh. Sautéed chicken with fillers were seasoned well. It's like having an Asian taco protein style. The sauces added a little umph. We likey. TRUFFLE FRIES: They are also consistent with this. Deep fried crispy with the hint of truffle aroma. One might consider this a palate cleanser. CHICKEN TORTILLA SOUP: This is one hearty soup! There aid so much flavor packed all in one bite, and the bits of avocado helped with the already smooth texture. We all had a taste and we all enjoyed it. CARNIVORE PIZZA: We were getting so full with what we already had that it was a debate whether we should get this or not. Clearly it won out. They didn't skimp on the protein - the flavor of each meat was in every bite. I felt it could have used maybe a few more seconds in the oven to add a little more crisp to the crust, but otherwise, perfect. FOOD: 5. Consistency is key. SERVICE: 5. Sandy was perfect. As busy as the restaurant was, she was on point about making sure we got everything we wanted and needed. She (and some she teamed up with) were very mindful about clearing the table as needed (since it was a small table at that.) Service with a smile is just the cherry on top. I hope her pay is commensurate to her service! VALUE: 5. Very well worth it! PARKING: Shared with others. It gets busy most especially on the weekend. Have your ticket validated for a discount (because parking isn't free, given the location.) OVERALL: 5. It really was a perfect run, there was nothing we didn't like about this visit. Great location in Long Beach! You get to have a view of the boats that are docked and it is less than half a mile to walk to the Aquarium of the Pacific if you plan on visiting. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. I suggest joining the online waitlist so that you can put your name in before entering the restaurant. Wait times can vary throughout the day. We came during Happy Hour and immediately got seated. We ordered the Chicken Nachos, Classic Sliders and Margherita Pizza. Came to this Yard House around 8:50 PM and sat at the bar. Our bartender took our drink and appetizer order right away. Drinks came fast, appetizers came about 15 minutes later, and that was the only good part of the night. After that our bartender completely disappeared. I could see him on the other side of the bar, clearly slammed making mixed drinks for the entire restaurant by himself. Not one other bartender stepped up to help him or check on us. We waited about 30 minutes for him to come back and nothing. I asked another bartender if he could take our food order since our guy was buried in drink orders. He said "I'll be right back" and never came back. He stayed on the other side of the bar and ignored us. Another 15 minutes went by and I tried flagging down a third bartender. I made eye contact with him three times and got ignored every single time. The couple sitting next to me even laughed and said "what's wrong with these people, they're just ignoring you." I said "yeah because we're not their customers and our tip doesn't go to them." At this point it's 10:10 PM, almost an hour and twenty minutes since we sat down, and all we had were drinks and appetizers. No one cared to take our food order. I was beyond annoyed at this point. I saw a male server by the bathroom and asked if he could grab our check so we could leave. Instead of helping he argued and said "that's not my responsibility." I told him "then who do I have to talk to? We've been sitting here over an hour being ignored while trying to order and now just trying to pay." Finally the same bartender who ignored me earlier brought our check and acted annoyed that I interrupted him, even though our original bartender was still stuck making drinks for the whole place. This was easily one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. The bartenders at this location clearly ignore anyone who isn't their customer, and management allows it to happen. Nobody deserves to sit at a bar for over an hour being completely neglected. Horrible bartenders, horrible servers. Shameful read more

Always a good time at the Yard House. Just be ready for long lines, lots of people, and loud atmosphere. I'm always impressed by the professionalism of the staff and how they are able to handle such a large number of customers, especially on Friday nights and the weekend. After many years of being at this location in Long Beach, they consistently have a line of people willing to wait. I love the spicy tuna roll. I always order this and I hope they never take it off the menu. The food quality is higher than most dine in chains and customer service is always top notch. Yard House is probably the only chain restaurant that I love. Our server, Justin, was also a delight and handled our large group of 8 like a pro. read more
