finally made it to breakfast republic and the wait was under 5mins on a saturday! it was a party of two and my frenchie! love that they are dog friendly. but also a bit tight on space if you are bringing a dog stroller. i ordered: CHICKEN FENNEL SAUSAGE SCRAMBLE upgraded my potatoes to the brussels sprout roasted potatoes with parmesan cheese, bacon, balsamic vinegar, and onion for +$2.50 when the food arrive , it was an omelet. food was okay, kinda basic. would want to try the french toast next time. service was good. friendly and approachable staff. parking: metered street or metered lots.

Went on Saturday for my nieces birthday . We had the front patio which was nice and a cool breeze but it smelt like urine so that was the downside of it. I wasn't sure if it was the patio or just the breeze blowing but it was pleasant . The servers were so nice and friendly, we had a table of 11 and we waited only 35 min, so that was a plus. The food looks delicious and very presentable but it was lacking flavor, I ordered the Cali breakfast burrito the meat was very bland to be asada. I didn't care too much for the sauce . It was a red sauce that wasn't good, I feel like a green sauce or pico would of been . It had the full works which was a plus .. I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and I'm glad I was finally able too.. but check it out for yourself, everyone has a different opinion.

Really good breakfast accompanied by great customer service too. Restaurant was a little busy but really appreciated how waiter kept in communication with us instead of just ignoring our needs. Shrimp and grits were delicious and I'm not a grits person. Packed with flavor and good shrimp portion. Original pancake was a nice sweet pairing and perfect texture and sweetness. Really enjoyed the pancakes for being a French toast girl. Restaurant is festive with a lot to look at and take in while you enjoy your dining experience. Restaurant is quant with an indoor/outdoor vibe therefore be prepared this isn't a quiet and private dining experience. Good breakfast and brunch spot. The whole menu looks great too!

Went here a couple of days ago . Shout out to Instagram for the advertisement. Because breakfast republic is a gem. Surprisingly the wait wasn't that long on a Saturday . The seating area is a little small but not too bad. I order a cocktail called the breakfast buzz basically an espresso martini. It was so good l alcohol and coffee ratio 10/10 I ordered bacon pancakes ; excellent I have nothing left to say other then it's a MUST

Another place that I would always walk or past by whenever I'm in Belmont shores. Finally gave in and tried it out. The beginning of the week as it was still pretty early and plenty of tables open. There's a small parking lot next to it as well as but both metered street parking along the front as well as parking in the neighborhood. Just read the signs to be safe as I've been seeing lots of cars getting parking ticket. Monday just around a late breakfast and plenty of tables which it was still a wait to be seated. There was a host and a couple of the waiters working. The restaurant is an open concept feel. Main dining area has the bar as well as the patio. There a side dining area which all has the outdoor feel. They also have merchandise along one side of the wall for purchase. Menu wise, pretty much breakfast. I'm not sure if there's a separate menu for later on or if that was it. Service was nice once we got taken care of. It's a looked like a full bar where it could also be utilized for a meal as there's seating along the counter. Food, one of the omelets. Portuguese linguisa sausage, applewood smoked bacon, sausage, tomato, green bell peppers, herbs and the BR cluckin "good hot" sauce served with house potatoes and toast with butter and jam. It was quite tasty and flavorful. The omelette was also a nice yellow color compared to others. Also had an order of the breakfast jambalaya with shrimp, Portuguese sausage, rice, red bell peppers, and roasted tomatoes sauce and topped with three eggs any style and green onions. This dish was tasty with nice big shrimps not bay shrimp. A nice touch with the eggs, rice was flavorful. Staff were all friendly and food was nice. Love the plates that the meal comes on which literally everyone's looked massive. Restroom is located along the walkway of the kitchen so waiting is along the side. It does pick up fast so weekend can be a good wait time.

Once again they delivered. Popped in on a Friday morning for breakfast. The weather was perfect, it wasn't to crowded. We waited less than 5 minutes to be Service was dialed in. Attentive without hovering, friendly without forcing it...they had the rhythm down. You can tell when a spot runs smooth, and this place does. Now let's get into the real reason we're here : the food. I ordered the Jalapeño Bacon Cheddar Sausage Omelet with a side of classic pancakes, and yeah...this combo hits. The omelet was loaded with flavor, perfectly cooked, and had that nice kick from the jalapeño without overpowering everything else. Pancakes? Soft but with a crispy sear, warm, and exactly what you want on the side. My wife went with the French Toast plus Brussels sprouts and potatoes sweet meets savory done right. Everything came out hot, fresh, and seasoned on point. No misses. Side tip: ask for the real maple syrup. Game changer.

Walked by this busy Friday morning and noticed the counter was available so I was seated right away. The drink menu offers plenty of options and I went with the iced caramel latte that is amazing. Soon after ordering, the food arrived with plenty to share if needed. The chilaquiles is a local favorite and I understand why. The flavors are outstanding. This place gets really busy at times so be prepared for a little wait. Give them a try.

My sisters and I came here before our bike ride. I'm really happy they have a vegan menu. There's 6 options for us. It's really pricey though. I ordered the HARVEST OMELET: plant-based eggs, asparagus, avocado, spinach, onion, jalapeño, and vegan sausage, served with choice of toast for $18. Asparagus was old. They don't have vegan butter for the toast, but regular butter is served with the meal. I'm glad the runner told me or I would've eaten it. Non vegan butter should not be served with a vegan meal. What if they had forgotten to tell me? I would have gotten sick because I am allergic to dairy. My sister ordered the shrimp & grits: gouda cheese infused grits and shrimp cooked with breakfast republic cluckin' good hot sauce, corn, chives, and three eggs any style for $20.50. She enjoyed that. My other sister had a protein lover omelette: jurassic pork bacon, ham, applewood smoked bacon. She said it wasn't seasoned at all. Food was slow to come. There's one gender neutral bathroom. They have a merch area. Cute but expensive. They have bar seating. Inside and outside seating. Staff were really nice. I'm loving the inclusivity at this location. They have a very small parking lot. Street parking.

This one day, I was craving breakfast....but like a different kind of breakfast that hits different and Breakfast Republic hit the spot! It's one of those little restaurants that make you feel at home. Thankfully, I went on a day when it wasn't busy at all, so I was seated right away and I chose to sit at the cozy bar area. First off, I was dying laughing at their Christopher Walken "Easter egg" outside for those who get it! If you go here, you'll know what I'm typing about! LOL! Okay, back to my review where I left off at the bar seating... I was greeted by 1 White dude and 1 light skinned black chick, whom I totally forgot their names!!! It's been killing me because I should've noted them on my phone! But yeah... the guy really nice and the lady was very welcoming while also recommending what they liked from this place. All around is the most random decor and art...from their merch booth, to their Albert Einstein quote. There is a really cool uplifting quote on the wall that reads: "Never left success get to your head and never let failure get to your heart". Many people these days need to learn from this; especially when they're leechy clout chasers and ungrateful parasites over idiots and social media influencers as opposed to people who have legit been there for them. But that's another story! LOL! Sorry, that Breakfast Republic quote really hits home with me and I LOVE IT! The cool lady server at the bar recommended that I try her favorite... their Breakfast Jambalaya! It was loaded with some nice sunny side up eggs atop some jambalaya with shrimps, sausage, etc. that had a damn good kick in heat and flavor to it! It definitely showcased a reason for me to come back and want to try their other stuff!!! 5 stars all around! Oh yeah... their parking is small & a hit or miss, but try your luck with the other spots around; but my advice is to basically try to go when you know many people will not go.

Absolute must try. Love coming here. The service is always amazing and the food is delicious. The only thing I don't like is the wait. There's always a long wait. So don't come hungry lol. That said, the service does not lack. They are on it. Been here a couple of times and it never disappoints. I've had their Power Bowl, Steak-n-Eggs, and the Chilaquiles. Every menu item I have had was a 10/10. My favorite is the Steak-n-eggs. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I've sat in both. Prefer sitting on the patio. It's not a big space. They also have an espresso machine to make any coffee you desire.

Awesome brunch and bloody Mary's. Wait staff are friendly and accommodating. Love the kitchy decor and phrases. Jambalaya, chilaquiles and pancakes were on point. See ya again soon BR

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Everything feels clean, classy and thoughtfully put together. When you first arrive, seeing the line out the door can be a little intimidating. Usually at places like this, I feel like I have to fight for my life to find a table, but thankfully that wasn't the case here. The staff was very kind and asks how many are in your party and helps you get a table, which made everything much less stressful. They also give you menus while you wait so you can decide what you want ahead of time. We arrived at 10:30am and our wait was about 30 minutes so by the time we were able to order at 11am, the lunch menu was also available. I ordered the tater tots, Cinnagave Shaken Espresso, Dutch Baby Pancake and country sourdough toast with jam. With tax and tip, my total came out to around $40. It's definitely pricier than what I normally pay for breakfast. Most entrées range from $17-$34 and coffees are around $5-$10, so you can easily spend $30+ for one person. In these hard times, that's not exactly ideal for me. I also wanted to try a pastry to get the full experience, but when I found out the small blackberry danish was $7, I decided to pass. I just couldn't justify getting that close to $50 for breakfast for one person. Now for the food! The country sourdough toast with jam was actually my favorite item. The homemade sourdough was incredible and honestly deserves its roses. It sounds like such a simple thing, but it was so well done and easily the standout for me. Visually, the Dutch Baby Pancake was beautiful and definitely impressive when it came out. I've always wanted to try one, so I was excited! I will say, I've read everywhere that Dutch babies are supposed to have more of a custardy center and even the photos I've seen look that way. Mine didn't really have that texture at all and tasted more like a crepe. Maybe it was a little overcooked? It wasn't bad, just not quite what I expected. Still delicious! Unfortunately, the tater tots were the biggest disappointment. They weren't crispy, didn't taste seasoned and sort of fell apart until they became one big potato mess. My cousins and I ended up not finishing them. One of my cousins ordered the summer peach and corn salad, which she liked! Just a heads-up that it's only available after 11 a.m. My other cousin got the skillet, she mentioned feeling a little disappointed since it tasted a little dry and didn't finish her plate. However they both ordered the Curious George drink and LOVED it! The Cinnagave Shaken Espresso was also fantastic. Coffee is definitely something they do very well here and I can see myself getting again. Overall, the aesthetics are adorable and I could see this being a great date spot. The coffee was fantastic, the sourdough was amazing, but the rest of the food was just okay for us. That was a little disappointing because everything sounds SO good on paper. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. The prices are probably the biggest thing holding me back from coming back regularly. Spending $30-$40+ per person for breakfast isn't really in my budget right now, but if this is within your price range, you may have a completely different experience. When I review a place, I try to take the overall experience, personal taste and effort into account. For now, I'm leaving Zuzu's Petals at 4 stars because the effort is definitely there, and what isn't my cup of tea may be someone else's liquid gold. I'd still give them another chance in the future... after I get paid!

I never expected to find stellar cocktails and wings inside of a hotel, but you truly never know…read more Let's start with the cocktails; they are KILLING it. The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.

Navy Proof is the restaurant and bar inside the Westin Long Beach lobby. The open atrium with high…read moreceilings and large windows looks impressive, but in the early afternoon the sun made the space feel warm and greenhouse-like. The bartender was excellent. He went into the kitchen for fresh berries, muddled them with Tito's and soda, and made a genuinely refreshing summertime drink that helped with the heat...! I eventually ordered the Crispy Shrimp & Calamari to eat as my main (I was dining alone). I had recently had a very notable version of the same dish at a Canopy by Hilton in Washington DC, and unfortunately, this one did not measure up. The breading was average and the sweet chili aioli was poor. I asked for ranch instead, which was an improvement but still not great. The portion itself was fine. Service was solid and friendly! I'd rate the staff around a 4. Based on the food I had, the kitchen lands closer to a 2.5 to 3. Fine if you're already in the hotel and want something casual, but not an amazing choice for the fried seafood.
