Excellent breakfast buffet and very reasonably priced. Our server, Thomas, was spot on with kind, prompt attention. Custom made to order omelet bar was a hit.

The coffee and food is oh so delicious! I ordered the omelette and pancakes. What a great way to start from the buffet. You can also order from the menu. I love food!!! Was happy as a lark. Ten stars.

Just ok here. Each one of us order Brisket Benedict and each of us got a hard boiled rather than poach if one of our eggs. Service was rushed and a bit brusque. Hash browns and eggs cold. Could have been much better if hot.

Located in Marriott Marquis, came here for a weekday lunch. The place was packed due to a conference at George R. Brown. The restaurant seems not equipped for the lunch crowd, very limited menu items and seems surprised of the customer volume themselves. Our server was nice but service was very slow due to the fact that they were severely understaffed. Got the Farro Power Bowl with added chicken (personally, for the $17 price tag, chicken should be included). The veggie and fruit items in the bowl were fresh, but the chicken was super dry and almost rubbery. With so many other good options nearby, would not come back again.

We stopped in for breakfast on our first day in town. Let me first say, the food did not disappoint. We opted for the breakfast buffet and it was an extensive layout. The smoked salmon was my favorite, followed by the fruit bar. The ambiance was also very nice. I would say modern country kitchen? My only negative would be the price. I know it's downtown pricing but it still hurt - $30 for one buffet, before the tip. Ouch.

This place was cool for a quick brunch. I opted for the buffet but they also offer an a la carte menu. What I appreciated the most is that the breakfast buffet is offered daily and not just on weekends. They have build to order omelettes/eggs and made to order pancakes. They also have your typical breakfast offerings on the buffet such as breakfast meats, potatoes, sausage gravy, breakfast breads, yogurt, oatmeal, etc. I also appreciated that they offered turkey sausage and not just pork products. Coffee, juice, tea, soda etc. are included in the price of the buffet. They also have a bottomless mimosa add on option in you're interested. I LOVE how open and airy this place is, with various types of comfortable seating. If you're staying at the Marriott or close by and looking for a nice brunch option, definitely give them a try. Cheers to a great time!

Great spot for buffet breakfast while in Houston for X' first gymnastics meet of the season! Fresh buffet offerings, great omelet bar, and have an a la carte menu if you aren't feeling hungry enough for the buffet.

Visited in a Sunday morning. They weren't that busy. Host staff and wait staff was polite. This restaurant is located inside Marriott Marquis downtown. The restaurant was clean. Kids under a certain age (5?) Eat free buffet selection. I ordered the chorizo omelette and it was very good. I looked over the buffet selection and wasn't too impressed. They did have these delicious spicy cheese hash browns though. Otherwise it was traditional food you would expect, runny eggs, sausage links and patties and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits looked a little hard and the cheese selection looked like it had been sitting a while. They also had oatmeal, French toast, and a nice pastry and cereal selection. Overall not as fresh as I'd like it but expected given it's a buffet. The price was $28/adult. If in the area, I'd go again because I like the ambiance and staff was friendly. I think the made to order food is also pretty tasty.

Went here for lunch the restaurant was fairly empty. Everyone was nice. Food was good. Cornbread was not dry. However they were preparing for dinner service and were all at the back of the dining area. We were not in a rush but new patrons had to wait to be seated like we did.

Service was amazing-- we loved our waiter who was a combination of polite, funny, and knowledgeable, and everyone gave us a smile. All the dishes were beautifully presented and flavorful but definitely on the heavier side. - Beet salad (5/5)-- wow, never had a beet salad like this one before! So much flavor with a tanginess from vinegar sweetened by the blueberries and beets. The beets didn't taste very earthy (aka like dirt) compared to most beet salad. This was really well executed :) - Caesar salad (3.5/5)-- Credence's spin on Caesar, which according to my Caesar salad pro diner, didn't really taste like Caesar salad. Also very tangy and tart but the pro still enjoyed it as a salad dish. - Roasted cabbage (4/5)-- big fan of the way they roasted this, perfect tenderness without being cabbage mush! Definitely a heavy dish, especially for a vegetable option, as it was swimming in a butter cream sauce that started to congeal as it cooled off. Would choose this more as an indulgent appetizer rather than a healthy veggie option. I wonder if one could ask for the sauce on the side... - Tuna tostada (3.5/5)-- if you like strong flavors, this one packs a punch. The gochujang aioli beneath the tuna is really concentrated, making it difficult to taste the actual tuna. There's a bit of heat but thankfully I wouldn't say it was spicy. Fun to try. The tostada itself was very dense and almost a bit bread-y versus a crispy chip texture. - Crab fried rice (4/5)-- comes with lobster foam that is mixed table side and a generous amount of crabmeat lumps. The rice actually had a nice texture without being too... grainy / individualized, but it was too salty for me. - Akaushi Wagyu beef (4.5/5)-- loved the texture which was tender but with some chew (was expecting more of a melt-in-the-mouth texture though) and the veggies that it came with. It was heavily salted, too much so for me. Would've been perfect with less salt since there's already a chimichurri sauce with it. - Peanut butter tart (4.5/5)-- peanut butter lovers rejoice! The chocolate filling was rich, thick, and sweet which was complemented nicely with the whipped cream (not sweet at all). The peanut flavor really shined. The crust didn't have much of a taste by itself and was sandy in texture, not sure if on purpose or over-baked and dried out. Either way, the tart looked impressive when it arrived and was delectable-- my favorite bite of the night! Overall a nice experience! Although there was a mess up and the rest of our two salads and crab rice wasn't packed with our other food to take home; I was pretty sad about that since it was quite a bit of food (and $$). I might return for that peanut butter tart, but everything else was too heavy and too salty for me. I'm personally not a huge butter fan, but if you are, definitely make a reservation for a special occasion or date!

The service was 10/10, food was amaaaazing. We looked at other reviews before going and went with an app we didn't hear much about, but an entree that we did hear amazing things about. Appetizer: everyone talks about the dilly bread but honestly, the puff puff pass sounded better, esp the scotch bonnet aioli. 10/10 loved the flavors together, esp the fried bread with the aioli Entrees: we had the pork belly special and the nono's pasta. Everyone raves about the pasta and rightfully so. The noodles with the right amount of bolognese was such a flavorful comfort food. The pork belly was also delicious but the pasta hit better. Dessert: of course i had to get both! We got the famous olive oil cake and their banana rum cheesecake. We didnt taste much banana unfortunately but the cheesecake was tasty. But olive oil cake takes the cake! This place is a must to try in Houston.

Had a 5:30pm resy, seated outside right away that Saturday evening--it was a full house 45 minutes later. You'd be a fool to skip the dilly bread--a complete fool! The rolls are pillowy and warm. I could eat the butter by the pint. The fingerlinging potato dish is also a must have...pretty small for $19 but tastes like heaven. Spicy! Zaddy was being a bit of a clutz that evening and knocked over my $20 mezcal cocktail, so what does he do? Orders me another one! (That's why he's "zaddy") ....kind of wish he hadn't...so wasn't worth the price tag. Skip it. The chicken dinner was definitely the winner--fresh, juicy breast, crispy skin...don't be cute, you won't finish it unless your party has at least 4 in it! The flies were ruthless! Very annoying! They were acting like the geekers that come bother you just outside your favorite fried chicken joint in south Dallas! Our waitress brought out a table fan so that made the experience a little more tolerable. The chocolate peanut butter pie tasted like a salt rock and the lemon chiffon pie had great flavor but not lemony enough for me. All in all this place is a bit pricey but truly a gem! While we waited for our table, we grabbed drinks at the bar on the other side, which felt like the perfect way to start the evening. I don't play about service and every box you could check was executed very well here. The greeting on entry was very intentional and welcoming. The table was still pending so the hostess showed us the bar and welcomed us to wait there. The bartender greeted us with a smile. We started with wine and when the table was ready the hostess came to gather us. A server came to take our drinks over to the table for us and they transferred the tab for us. Y'all, I love not having to think for a moment lol, please guide me through an experience. Ok so we got escorted to the table and since it was for my birthday, the hostess said "I think I have the perfect birthday table for you." And she did, because we ended up with the cutest plush velvet (I think lol) booth overlooking the rest of the restaurant so we could really take in the atmosphere. Also, loved the fully open-concept kitchen. Being able to see all the action added to the experience and gave the space a lively, interactive feel. Ok back to service because Bludorn really is topping the game! Our server was sweet and was able to speak to all the menu options. He really steered me in the right direction on choices, not one miss! Occasionally other staff would pop by just to say hi and make sure we were doing well. And I just love a little attention when I'm out spending my money y'all so that sat well with me. Ok now let's talk about the main event, the food. To start they brought us their version of Parker Rolls with a garlic butter, excellent starter. For an app I got the Chilled Corn Soup with Blue Crab. It was really refreshing, the flavors were vibrant and that crab was fresh. They also did not skimp on the crab. I honestly hated that it had to come to an end. For my entrée I did the Blackened Red Snapper (removed the bacon). This dish had a black eyed pea and puree situation under the fish. It was delicious! The snapper was perfectly flaky and tender, and the flavor of the accompanying puree was reminiscent of my mom's black eyed pea stew with bold flavors. The only thing was that I wanted the portion to be a little bigger, just made me sad is all lol. We also ordered the creamed spinach because they said it's one of their best sides and y'all it was so rich and velvety, it practically melted in my mouth! Now since it was my bday they brought out a cute chocolate dessert and had Happy Birthday written on the plate. I love details, it's going to get me every time. My friend got the salmon and said that it was "ok, nothing super special." She did love her shrimp app though. When we were ready for the check they brought out a cute postcard and the check was on the back. I thought that was so different, like finding a way to make the check cute is a talent lol. Also, for our left overs, they brought us little gold number plates, which we took to the front when leaving to claim our to-go bags. I thought this was very sophisticated, keeping the table clear in case you want to continue with drinks and convo, etc. Overall, the ambiance was warm, intimate, elevated, and effortlessly a vibe. Definitely the kind of place that feels perfect for date night or a cute dinner out with the girls. Would I go again? Of course, and I wouldn't think twice. As a matter of fact I'm making resys for brunch within the next few weeks. I plan to keep Bludorn in my rotation because when a place does it right you keep them close. I know Yelp does an overall star rating, but I'm going to start breaking my reviews down to show how I rate the different elements. Aesthetic or environment 5/5 Service 5/5 Food 4.5/5

The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. Apparently, when my husband made our resv, he told them it was my birthday, so our server brought out a delightful complimentary spiced cake dessert after we were finished eating - for us to share. It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me. We will definitely be back to try some other delights because the menu is packed full of amazing looking dishes.

We were seated in a booth that felt quite cramped for a business meeting. Next time, we'd likely request a more open, well-lit table. We ordered several dishes, but the Chilean sea bass was disappointing. It was dry, lacked the buttery texture it's known for, and was quite bland. We also requested a side of hot sauce, but that request was overlooked. To end the meal, we planned to order coffee and toffee instead of dessert. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, we were told the coffee machine had broken. Unfortunately, by then the server seemed eager to wrap things up and didn't really give us the opportunity to consider any other after-meal options. Overall, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we can see why it's popular, but the food execution and service fell short of our expectations, especially for a business lunch. We hope these issues were just an off day, as we'd like to give it another chance.

The atmosphere was laid back and the ambiance was very conducive for a great date spot. The service was impeccable. Never had to wait on anything and the food came out in a timely manner. The food was just like the reviewer had said: the pancakes were delicious and had a lemony taste to them, bacon was just like I like it, crisp but firm with a smoky flavor, roasted potatoes were firm and roasted to perfection and the added sea salt gave them that just right taste that lingers with you, but the star of the show was the Scallion biscuits. They were done to perfection from the texture to the taste and when you added your jam and butter to them, everything went to another dimension. Definitely will be one of my new brunch spots.

I was able to find parking nearby on the street and made it inside before the rain started. We were seated and quickly greeted by our waiter. After a brief discussion, we agreed on what we wanted to order, only to be told they were out of the quiche. We opted for; -Fresh scallion Biscuits -steak & eggs (soft scramble) -Caesar Salad We prefer to order and eat everything family style and the food did not disappoint. Biscuits are a must. They are buttery, crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside w/ fresh jam and butter. Also the steak was amazing (happy they were out of the quiche) and its served with eggs and potatoes. We will definitely add them to the Rolodex. Enter freely, they've been approved
