Fantastic customer service! Accommodated a party of 8 quite quickly with food coming out quite promptly. Overall, the vibe inside is cozy with a great selection of jazz music. Plus, if you come by when they're closing, you might get the leftovers!

Had this place bookmarked for awhile and decided to drop in. They do have their own parking lot; its small but its free. I came in around 1; it was crowded. Order at the front and open seating. Frozen Peach Bellini is a good option ($8). Omelette (added bacon and mozzarella cheese) cones with potatoes and toast on the side. The food came out fast but the bacon was sink oinking. I asked that it be cooked through. Not sure why that changed my added mozzarella; because it came back with no cheese. When I say they just threw cold cheese on it ... not melted and the now omelette is a open face scrambled egg. I guess i was supposed to melt it with my hot breath... idk! A group of men walked in while I was eating and apparently I disappeared because Ive been waiting for a to go container for at least 20 mins.l; after the waiter acknowledged I asked for one. Drink was A1 Food was mid Service was bad

Came here for brunch and it was such a quaint spot. You order your food at a counter and then find a seat. The menu has a good variety. I ordered the pizza... they make it all from scratch and the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. My friends had breakfast and I did sample the breakfast potatoes and they were seasoned really well. We ate out on the patio and they bring you your food and clean up after you leave. You could even hear the music from the club next door. I will be back as there is so much on the menu I want to try.

I hadn't been to a District 7 Grill location (Downtown location, to be exact) in more than a decade. But after looking at their Yelp food photos and knowing they have a patio, we dropped in for a weekend lunch. It was the perfect choice, and I don't know why I hadn't dined there since I moved to the neighborhood years ago. But that'll soon change. It's counter service, so choose from seafood, pastas, pizzas, burgers... I think the majority of the menu has a Tex-Cajun theme (gumbo, raw oysters, zesty pastas, breakfast tacos, migas, elote) but there are also some New American items... The highlight for me was the patio seating surrounding a massive old oak tree and with views of the downtown skyline. Pair that with a glass of wine + oysters, and it was a lovely lunch. There is parking, drink specials, BYOB with cork fee, kid-friendly, patio and inside seating, takeout and limited delivery available. Weekend Brunch: 10:00 am - 3:30 pm Lunch & Dinner: 3:30pm - 10:00 pm Specials.... Tues & Thurs: 1/2 priced bottles of wine Wednesday happy hour 4pm-7pm: $2 bottled beer, $4 drafts, $5 bites Friday happy hour 4pm-7pm: $4 red, white, and bubbles; $6 hand tossed pizza

Came with a group, and luckily they were able to accommodate a slightly larger number than I had originally reserved for despite it being Friday night. It was unusual to have to order at the counter for the quatility and price, but everyone enjoyed their meals. We had pizza, burgers, salads, wine, beer, fountain drinks, etc. The cherry on the top was the watermelon birthday cake (beware, the icing is SWEET). Our compliments to the kitchen and front staff.

I've been to the district grill in downtown and i didn't like it but this location in eado was pretty good. Had a lot of outside seating to keep a good distance from other customers. Surprisingly the brunch menu was really good. I had the brisket tacos and chicken and waffles with egg and potatoes. Filled me up quick and I enjoyed the food. Will come back to try other dishes!

This place gives diner vibes but also sells excellent mimosas and bellinis. We went for brunch and the service was quick. The French toast and the mimosa flight were superb! We sat inside because it's a million degrees out but we will definitely come back when the weather is nice enough to sit on the patio/deck.

Convenient to downtown, with a decent amount of parking and plenty of indoor and patio seating. Staff is welcoming and very helpful to first timers. Order at the counter, sit wherever and they deliver to your table. Had the bowl of Mexican street corn and it had great flavor, would be even better if the corn was roasted, it is enough to share. Did the tres tacos as an entree-2 pastor and 1 fajita beef, both on corn tortillas. The el pastor was really good, the beef fajita was light on beef, fresh tortillas and fantastic salsa. I'll try something else next time.

Heads up, No changing table... this is what you have to work with (bring your own mat)

Customer service was great! Got the chicken fried chicken with gravy, everything was delicious a little stingy with the gravy. they served it in a small container, but no biggie asked for more and received also got a pancake ... it was a lil dry and thick not my favorite... brought my baby of course and ... there's no changing table. However there's an area next to the sink you can kind of work with. My child is in size 12-18 months and he legs were definitely dangling luckily it was a quick #1 change but if it was a #2 we would have probably had to step out to change her out in our vehicle.

This was pretty good. It wasn't many people besides us , so the service was quick. You do have to order at the front, but i'm okay with that. The food was cooked really well and the sauce on the chicken was sweet and savory. The broccoli was nice and crisp (how i personally like it) and the mash was great , if you like your potatoes not too smashed. I had the Chardonnay as well and it was pretty good. The server was hilarious, he has great people skills, even with his bizarre music opinions lol. Id definitely return.

They are more like hush puppies or fritters... very cornmeal (or bread?) heavy and hardly any crab to be called a "crab cake." I think another review mentioned that, and even our server told us (after the fact) that patrons don't like their crab cakes. I've been gluten-free for six months and kinda bummed I broke my streak on this dish. Thankfully they took it off our bill (at $44 for four, and we couldn't even finish one.)

Is this the most overrated restaurant in Houston?…read more After being on my "To Try" list for an unacceptable amount of time, I finally made my way over to Nancy's Hustle. I was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar with no reservation. I arrived about 30 minutes into open and there was already a wait list. I suggest getting there early or making a reservation if you're not a solo diner. The interior is nice and intimate, with low lighting that doesn't work well for photos but definitely for a cozy dinner. The set up and music reminded me a little bit of 93 Til due to the decor. I started with the duck dumplings and the Nancy cakes. I wasn't expecting it but they offer half orders which is great for a solo diner who wants to try multiple things. Both items were delicious. The dumplings had a nice savory sauce with some texture from the peanuts. These were great but probably my bottom of the list which is saying something. I would only say this because they reminded me a lot of the hot oil wontons from duck and bao so at that price point, you might as well get more. The Nancy cakes were pillowy and savory and made a great vessel for honey butter and roe. I even used a bit to dunk into the leftover dumpling sauce. I suggest eating these as soon as they hit your table. I was trying to savor my bites but the cakes benefit a lot from being nice and hot. It's not the most ground breaking dish in the world but it's done well and I would definitely call it a must order. I could have eating a full order of it alone. My main dishes is where my mind was blown. I went with the roast chicken and half order of the gem lettuce salad and fries. This might be the best roast chicken I've ever had in Houston. Chicken can be a hit or a miss because sometimes, there just isn't much flavor. This was absolutely not the case here. The chicken was juicy and seasoned to the core. It even heated up well as left overs without being dry. The chili sauce on the bottom was flavor intensified and as I swiped my chicken through the pools of sauce, I thought to myself "overrated where?!". The gem salad caught me by surprise. I'm not one to stay away from a salad at a restaurant because they typically do them better than you can make at home . Nancy's Hustle solidified this opinion. The salad was wonderfully briney and savory. The lettuce was crisp and covered in the herby shallot dressing that grabbed my taste buds. Topped with anchovies and pancetta for a nice salty touch. So so good. The fries were the perfect side, crisp and not too potatoey (yes this is a thing). I traded in the aoli for some ketchup because that's just my thing. I concluded this wonderful dining experience with a dessert. Buttermilk ice cream with cornflakes, black berries and honey butter cookie. This dessert was a lesson in balance. Every component was present , sweet, salty, crunchy, cool. Each bite had something new to offer and combined into a perfectly executed dessert. As a cocktail, I tried their tropical drink. I don't remember what it was called but I know I could have drank about 7 of those. This was a great dining experience. I think when things get popular, sometimes we feel the need to be contrarians with our experiences. That wasn't the case for me. Nancy's Hustle has earned its popularity and I'll definitely be back
