Neither is TRUE, I been a Verizon Customer for over 20 years, and wow, I Decide to upgrade and almost 7 1/2 hours combined in 3 days of BS, and no one knows what's what , or how to fix the issue, they get frustrated, put you on hold and, it ends the call...NO ONE calls you back... , so yesterday I was promised my new phone, even their own computers say it was to de delivered , and it wasn't, this has become a nightmare, when you ask for a supervisor, they won't connect you with one, so I told them, supervisor now!, then I got put on hold again..., finally i Got a nice gentleman, he took about 45 minutes to get this all straightened out, My only fear now, is what will my bill be since Verizon screwed up on 100% of this transaction... This place appalling and not representative of the Verizon service we are used to,me and my wife went to this place because corporate costumer service sent me there to present proof of our agreement with Verizon for new phone credit, as soon I started explaining, the first employee ( latin with color hair), interupted that thry dudnt need the firm i brought and was very rude and not interested in helping me with the form corporate needed. If I could I would leave 0 stars. I came in around 7pm, and the representative that helped me was very rude, condescending, inpatient, and very unprofessional. I came in to get help returning a phone, along with setting up my new phone(s) and service, however I left returning the phone only, because he was almost yelling at me, very short with me and had a lot of attitude. None of the Verizon associates that I can across today, from Asurion, to the Verizon in Victra Irvine that referred me to this Verizon for the return, helped me set up my new accounts. The associate humiliated me in front of everyone when I was trying to explain to him about Asurion, he said insurance? I said no, the agents that come to your house to deliver your phone and set them up for you, he said I'm only trying to get the phone you want to be returned, returned that's a whole separate issue. So of course I have to come back today because I need my 2 new phones set up, since he did not want to help me. I have a phone that I cannot log into my Verizon account, because it still has not been set up. Terrible customer service Verizon, he just wanted to push me out the store and not help me, and I did call him rude, and he replies, "excuse me!" Very unprofessional!!! Also I want to add that because the Asurion agent started setting up the phones when I was not home only my kids were, now I have to pay a $50 restocking fee, so I only get $27 back of set up fees and taxes I paid for a phone I was trying to return in the first place. The customer service agents in this location do not like their job and don't have basic customer service skills...I am not sure if basic training was provided or how performance reviews are managed in this location! Verizon, please provide them with basic customer service training. I mean it! Basic training. I have never met customer service agents giving you such negative vibes when you step into the location. It is like pulling teeth to get an answer from them. This happened over three visits, not only one with three different agents. I have witnessed some rude interactions with others that led to them leaving the location. I agree with all the one-star reviews I read here so far without repeating what they said. They don't listen; they interrupt, give you bad looks, and at a point, I felt that they want to fight!!! It is terrible. Most of the time, the employees are interested in selling you something you may or may not want. I met Aaron (10.31.23) at the Jamboree store. He was interested in listening and finding a solution to my problem. His solution was outside the box and works perfectly for me. I highly recommend Aaron. He listens. He solves. Stay far away from this store. The manager of this location is dishonest and rude. I thought I was getting lied to about the returns I was doing as part of the phones I had upgraded so I asked a few questions so that I could be clear about what he was telling me. He told me that I was required to purchase the insurance on all the new phones or they wouldn't accept the trade in. He didn't like me asking questions and told me to leave "his" store and they they wouldn't help me there. Then he yelled at me to leave. I went to the location at the district and got great service they processed the upgrades and confirmed that the insurance was optional. Do NOT visit the marketplace store. read more

Just left store with really really bad experience. Arrived 40 mins before store closing. The manager in duty asked my to sign in for billing issue ( need to look up my account for my kids watch). I was waiting right outside store main entrance for more than 30 mins. No one reach out to me and the store was going to close for the day. I went into the store and I saw the manager walked pass by me without saying anything. Finally, I asked one of the associate and he told me that they cannot check the billing issue/ statement, he is unable to help me i will have to call the billing line. Have old flip phone and wanted to upgrade to smart phone. The young man was not able to answer of my questions. He told my family it would best if we go to Apple store. We have been customers over 20 years. We were so surprised by the poor customer service. We also wanted to buy phone and said don't sell them only finance them. Was told Price for 2 phones on unlimited data Plan is $180. Also the phones are locked down so you can't move it or hold it to see what the weight is. The Apple store has their phones locked down but it has thin wire attached so you can take it off the hard fixed locked stand to hold it and feel the weight. Will be moving to AT&T for service. The Verizon coverage has also been an issue lately dropping calls frequently. AT&T has lower price and better customer service. read more

My cellular service was not working a second time and Abby and the manager Romeo helped me right away. They were patient, compassionate and solution oriented and now my phone works. They determined several things such as a system update along with an esim vs the physical sim might be a better fit. I am a manager and Romeo is superb. I watched him manage the team the whole time I was there and there was a tremendous synergy amongst the team. Before Abby helped me I watched her handle another client who seemed irate but the customer walked out with a plan. Overall if I can give a 6th star I would. This is a fabulous team. Such a waste of time going to this place. I came here to turn in my old phone as I purchased the iPhone Xs a few days prior. The employee somehow could not find my phone in their system, then told me I still owed money on it. How do they know that if they couldn't find it in the system? He then advised me to call customer service and work it out with them and that he couldn't do anything else. After going back and fourth I decided I leave. I went right over to the next closest Verizon and they told it was weird they couldn't find it in their system and told me it was paid off. They gave me a box with shipping address to send my phone in. It took no more than 30 seconds. Thank you Verizon at Irvine spectrum for having competent employees. The guy at Verizon on jamboree was not only unhelpful, but unfriendly and sick too (he would not stop sniffling and coughing). Going this Verizon was an extreme waste of time. The only thing I got out of going here was getting the employees illness. Thanks for nothing Verizon on jamboree. Oh and when one of your employees is sick, be courteous and send them home. Worst Verizon! 4 parties in the store including myself and two sales associates were helping one party the other two had already been helped. It took 15 minutes for a rude sales associate to come out from the back and speak to me about an upgrade. No apology no how is your day.... First I ask him how much the total upgrade would be and tells me the cost. Then he comes back with a much higher total when calculating it. I correct him and said that's not how much you told me then he tells me I added it in YOU just missed it. Floored how this guy doesn't get fired. Just visited the store in Tustin. I was greeted by the store Manager, Rudy. My phone was completely dead and I was unable to get any power to it. He quickly surmised that it was most likely a software issue. After pressing a series of buttons he was able to get it up and running. I was in and out in five minutes. Unbelievably bad service!!! We've been with Verizon 18 years but stopped into this north Irvine store to see if Verizon had any incentives to keep customers from going to T-Mobile/ Metro for their new unlimited data plans. I hear people are leaving Verizon in droves. They pretty much acted like I was wasting their time, even the manager. This one guy though was especially rude and...QUITE bizarre. This millennial type guy with a large black beard was very cold and strange on so many levels. He could not comprehend my question even though I explained to him several times, very slowly and carefully. In order to help him understand, and to bring some levity to the discussion, I pointed to the "zero" on his Verizon shirt to emphasis the zero cost of the T-Mobile/ Metro unlimited data plan. Instead of the expected laugh, he literally jumped back 3 feet and yelled "DON'T TOUCH ME!" At first I thought he was kidding so I pointed again- from 3 feet away. He again screamed "DON'T TOUCH ME!!!" At this point I was thinking this guy had some serious mental issues so I immediately asked for another rep. The guy with the beard then left the store and with much amazement I told the manager that there was something seriously wrong with the guy. The manager just looked at me with a scowl. The next rep was a girl who eventually came over and looked directly at my wife with a big smile, completely ignoring me. When I told her that I was the one with the question, her big smile morphed into a big scowl. With dripping condescension she asked how she could help me. At least this rude millennial was able to comprehend my question and ended up giving me surprisingly honest answers. She admitted that Verizon had no plans to compete with the T-Mobile/Metro no cost unlimited data plans and that there was nothing coming in the near future. Now at least I can make my decision. Don't go to this Verizon store. When i purchased a new phone recently the store employee added service programs to our other 2 lines at $17 per phone per month without my knowledge or approval. I declined the service program on my new phone. Why would I all of the sudden decide to add that on 2 old phones that are already paid off. I just happened to catch it on my recent bill that I had to go online to check since changing over to their direct bill program. If you have done business at this store in the past few months check your bill. read more

I have been a 10 year plus Verizon customer - the place I worked provided me with verizon cell phone service and when I retired I set up a personal account. The coverage has been pretty much perfect. Unfortunately, every time I needed to contact someone for service of any kind, plans, expertise, anything at all, I have found a total lack of care about me as a customer. After a miserable experience with an arrogant, aggressive store manager last week at the South Hill Mall store in Puyallup, I decided enough was enough. I have changed to Consumer Cellular at about half the price. I did not wait on the phone to talk to someone, and people were helpful. So far the coverage seems to be just as good as verizon had been. I'm going to buy a lottery ticket, because I just had the BEST experience of my entire life! Having bought a new iPad, I needed to have my Verizon SIM card replaced - one step into the Verizon store in The Marketplace and I was greeted by Tami Wallace...VERY helpful, but it gets better... My iPad had been on a prepaid Verizon setup, and was separate from my monthly iPhone bill. My wife's was set up the same way... I was paying $40 total a month for both iPads, and Tami suggested I convert both prepaid iPads to my normal Verizon phone bill, and that if I did, it would be only $20 TOTAL a month! (The monthly iPad bill was essentially cut in half, and all I did was go into the store to initiate my SIM card for the iPad!) I had been told by different Verizon stores 4-5 times over the past 5 years that they could not merge all accounts (I just wanted to pay one bill each month) but in 10 minutes with Tami, my new iPad was working, my bills were consolidated, and by the way, I received 3 extra gig of data per month because my 5-year old iPad accounts were under an archaic pricing structure. What a great experience - if you EVER have a question or problem, go to the Marketplace in Tustin and ask for Tami! read more

He took the time to show me the phone I was interested in and patiently explained the different phone plans and the process of switching over to Verizon from my current provider.
