A few months ago our Internet speed went down from 100Mbps to 3Mbps. Yes, three. It took them about 3 weeks to get it fixed. In the process I have been in contact with mediocre customer service reps that are trained to copy/paste boiler plate responses. It doesn't matter whether they've given you an answer or ETA. They'd always ask, "Is there anything else that I can help you with?" so they can end it asap. This time around I had to move my service to a different address. The first rep that I talked to set up the install schedule. A day later I still didn't get any sort of confirmation. I contacted them again. Turns out that the schedule wasn't made at all. So I had to make another request. The rep that I chatted with this time was extremely slow and couldn't get a grip of the issue and task to be done. In the end, the install was scheduled. But wait... I ain't falling for this again. I immediately contacted them again to see if there was an install scheduled. Yes, there was, except that it was scheduled to be done at my OLD ADDRESS!! How can they mix this up?? Come on.. transfer of service to a new address that you were aware that was not in your system yet. Need any more clues on where to send the technician to? So, it took me the third time to get this simple job done.

He was extremely patient and tried multiple times on-site using the Cox Communications website system as well as the call center, but the issue still couldn't be resolved. He then continued exploring various alternative approaches to help set it up, and even consulted with his manager to seek additional solutions. In the end, he successfully resolved the long-standing issue I had been facing--setting up automatic payments under a trust account--which had taken me several weeks to try to fix. I am truly grateful for Michael's patience, attention to detail, and strong sense of responsibility in helping me solve this difficult problem.

I sent my wife, as I wanted her to gain the experience of exchanging a defective rental converter. In the past, they simply scanned the barcode on the bottom and promptly provided an exchange. However, this time they gave her a hard time. They insisted she provide the name of my first pet, as a child. This is a secret question to prove who you are, when all else fails. Needless to say, she had no idea, as she is not me. The fact she had the Cox rental equipment and was simply looking for an exchange was not enough. Se had a drivers license with the same last name and address as the account, meant nothing. She was forced to call me to get the secret answer. I consider this elder abuse, as she was 80 and had trouble hearing through the entire ordeal. I do not blame the employee, as they were trained to make these unreasonable requests. It is the Cox policy that I find fault with. Am I happy with the Cox cable service? In general yes, but paying more than $3,600 yearly for equipment rental and service should provide me better customer service. What would Cox had done if I sent my grandson or niece to do the exchange? Maybe Cox selling out to Spectrum brought about this change? Or Cox has simply decided to become less friendly to their paying customers? In any case, should I have any further poor service, I will switch to satellite service. Do not deal with Cox Cable!

I have a new construction home and one of my first projects was networking/cabling. I wanted two Ubiquiti APs (one on each floor), several Ubiquiti PoE security cameras, and two CAT6 drops into bedrooms which the builder didn't add. Starlight Tech was able to take care of all of this and the best part was minimal holes in the drywall. There were some small holes that Mike told me about ahead of time, but they were small enough to be covered by standard wall plates. On the day of the install, Starlight Tech was here on time, worked together to make sure everything was done in a clean and neat manner, and made sure everything was fully up and running before leaving. They even came back on a second occasion because I was still waiting to order a final security camera. I've recommended Starlight Tech to my neighbors and highly recommend them for any networking or cabling job needed. They are extremely detailed and are excellent at problem solving. The price I paid was very fair for all the work they did. Thank you Mike, Javad, and the Starlight Tech team!!

They helped me install an entire Ubiquiti ecosystem, which included 5 POE Cameras, 1 POE Doorbell, 2 POE Doorbell Chimes, and 4 POE Access Points. It doesn't end there. They even helped me relocate my ethernet ports and power outlets to more convenient locations that are more hidden so I don't end up with dangling wires. It still doesn't end there. They completely rack-mounted everything and made everything beautiful. The Ubiquiti ecosystem is more expensive, but I didn't mind the investment, especially with two industry experts leading the way. In the future, I do not doubt that Starlight Tech will be my go-to if I require any additional networking! Additional Details: My house is a single family, 2 floors, 3326 sqft.
