Mike, Javad, and team are amazing. Starlight Tech will be my go-to for any networking/cabling jobs in the future!! I have a new construction home and one of my first projects was networking/cabling. I wanted two Ubiquiti APs (one on each floor), several Ubiquiti PoE security cameras, and two CAT6 drops into bedrooms which the builder didn't add. Starlight Tech was able to take care of all of this and the best part was minimal holes in the drywall. There were some small holes that Mike told me about ahead of time, but they were small enough to be covered by standard wall plates. On the day of the install, Starlight Tech was here on time, worked together to make sure everything was done in a clean and neat manner, and made sure everything was fully up and running before leaving. They even came back on a second occasion because I was still waiting to order a final security camera. Mike and Javad exceeded my expectations. It took me less than 1 hour to realize that these two guys are the real deal. The amount of work they do in such a short period is incredible. They helped me install an entire Ubiquiti ecosystem, which included 5 POE Cameras, 1 POE Doorbell, 2 POE Doorbell Chimes, and 4 POE Access Points. It doesn't end there. They even helped me relocate my ethernet ports and power outlets to more convenient locations that are more hidden so I don't end up with dangling wires. It still doesn't end there. Mike and his team were amazing. I had a home that was uniquely designed and I thought I would never get Cat6 in my home. Little did I know that I was not only able to but add other runs of CAT6 in the future. Mike is the true deal. He knows how to bring in wires to get to the various places in your home. What I appreciated about him was how knowledgeable he was especially in Unifi systems. He was able to give advice out for access points and doorbell chime placement. While I wasn't ready for a dedicated hard wired access points, he was confident with my idea of having one of the cat6 jacks connected to it and place it on a piece of furniture on the stand built for it. Point being, that he was really helpful with that type of consulting. I plan to use them in the future when I can. You are not only getting great quality service for ethernet runs but someone who understand IT and can help you with all IT needs. It's currently been about 6 hours and they are still working hard. They're on the phone with tech support with the camera manufactuer to calibrate the LPR (License plate reader camera) EXTREMELY accurately and Mike is driving in his car in circles a million times to make it happen. I've gotten a ton of quotes from other security camera installers. I chose Mike because he was very thorough and detailed in his assessment. He checked all the panels, went inside the home, made sure he took photos and was extremely detail oriented. They use Dahua security cameras which are industrial grade and work really well. I also wanted a license plate reader which is why they need to calibrate that. And, they have another awesome one that rotates and zooms in! I wanted the best of the best to protect my home and he gave it to me. He provided me with an accurate quote and when I told him I didn't like something, he fixed it. I also told him the color number of our paint and thought I had to pay for it or follow up but he bought it already and was ready to go. His team was SUPER courteous (took their shoes off or wore booties, was very vareful when inside our home ) and did a great job with our system! They even vacuumed after. Mike was extremely responsive on email as well as yelp! Top notch service! The price was worth it as it was an accurate quote with no hidden fees. FYI. They were here for almost 9 hours working on this project. Also, he followed up with me after and addressed any issues I had. Mike, Javad, and team were incredible and I could not be happier with the results they delivered. They installed Ethernet and Unifi Access Points throughout our home with minimal drywall openings. I was a little worried about the amount of drywall openings needed for the job but was blown away and honestly confused by how they managed to do what they did with so few openings. The few openings were covered up cleanly with face plates and don't require any additional drywall repair. They truly went above and beyond what was asked of them. For example when we realized the hardware location had no power outlet close by, they figured out how to route electrical power from a nearby outlet and install a new one. Also Javad was kind enough to stay at the end to make sure our Unifi system was up-to-date and running flawlessly, and offered a tutorial on how to navigate the app. Every step of the way they always figured out how to resolve every issue we encountered, and they were always dedicated to achieving the best, most clean, elegant, and future-proof solution. And the whole time they are extremely clean, leaving no mess by the end of the job. I can't say enough good things about Starlight Tech. They recently did 5 cable drops at my house, hooked up two access points and pulled my TVs off the wall and hardwired them via ethernet for me. After nearly a year of complaining to my home builder about the poor wifi of the eero setup that they furnished, I finally shelled out for a different IT company to come out and wow what a difference. They found that several of the hardwired connections weren't actually listening and replaced the Eero setup with a Ubiquiti one. Getting over 700mb/s wifi now instead of the 50mb/s from before. If y'all have a similar headache, I wholeheartedly recommend this team. Mike and his team are absolutely incredible! I needed to have an ethernet cable run from one end of my home to the other as running a wireless WiFi range extender is impossible due to extreme signal loss. I also wanted to potentially do the same thing into my garage so my other desk could have an ethernet connection to tap into. He came by on a Sunday for a job inspection/free quote. He arrived promptly, understood the request and was able to offer two different options and was clear about the advantages of each options. After agreeing on one of the options, Mike was able to begin the job NEXT DAY! Again, he and his team were onsite and ready at the agreed upon time and got working right away. They were able to get the cable installed up my wall and through the attic across the entire house to the opposite corner, down that wall to another jack they made. However, I was a little disappointed at the amount of direction I had to give and their aesthetic standards were lower than I would expect from a highly reviewed vendor. And, they were supposed to follow up with me about incorporating other security features but they never did despite several outreaches. I would not hire them again if I moved and needed cameras again due to these reasons. I hired Starlight Tech to come and run some drops for my home. Mike came personally to do the quotation and he was on-time, diligent, and very professional- I knew instantly that I would want him to do my project. We were looking for someone to install a switch in our office and run ethernet cables to each of the bedrooms, living room and backyard. Mike and his team are true professionals. Mike first came to perform an in-person walk-through and an estimate based on my needs. Mike and his team arrived promptly. The work required that they cut out two large holes to pass Cat 6e cables from the attic to the first floor. While they do not handle patching, they made sure to clean up the work area (vacuumed debris and removal). The result of the network upgrade was overall much higher speeds. A great team, timely and efficient, and I would recommend them to anyone needing a full smart home solution that will scale into the future. After a 35 year career in Silicon Valley I moved into a larger house near the beach 3 years ago. Since my career was mostly based on wireless technology, all our internet and networking needs in our previous home had been met with wireless for many many years. I had always told my wife wireless was the future since the early 1990's. When I told her we now need to wire up she flipped as if I told her I didn't like living at the beach anymore (which I also always talked about for many a previous years). But the size of our new home, and our needs for greater bandwidth helped me realize the future now must be a fully wired home. Sure Wifi works great for basic needs on a laptop, smart phone or tablet, and for the Internet of things such as a smart doorbell, thermostat or speaker. But in odd shaped large homes such as ours, you must have multiple access points all connect via ethernet cables (forget about WiFi extenders and powerline, they are band-aid short term solutions at best). The inherent interference and range problems of wireless are starting to feel the pains of the law of diminishing returns as we require more more more. We have 4 smart TV's, without a dedicated ethernet connection, they would suck WiFi, while providing inconsistent streaming. Our cable modem/router was located in our master bedroom because that was where the only coax cable outlet was in the house. An eyesore, and I also have a multimedia server and high end workstations (I do a lot of video processing) which added to the eyesoreness. When I found Starlight, Mike promptly came out and we surveyed the house while I discussed my needs and wishes. A day later he sent me the plan and a quote. 1) Relocate Coax Cable For Modem/Router to central closet Install PoE Switch 2) Run CAT6A Cable From central closet through Attic to location of devices, Terminate on RJ45 Keystone Jack, VCE White Faceplate, Test, Label 3) Run CAT6A Cable from our central Closet To WiFi Access Point Locations 4) Install, Setup, Test 802.11ac Dual-Radio WiFi Access Points Within a week they came to install and were done within a day and a half. It was a lot of work, a few of the locations I wished for were very hard to access, but these guys came through like the pros they are. There were minimal disruptions, and a lot fewer holes in the walls to patch up than I had feared. When we finally get around to justifying replacing our current TVs with Ultra 8K HD or better in a few years, we'll be ready. read more

So this review is for a timely and helpful response to request for quote: "Just simply change your NVR to a new one as you said it is working for 5 years. The manufacturer warranty for these kind of NVR is 3 years only. If nobody messes with the cabling and you get this error I believe it is the device itself what's more you won't get a technician to fix it for less than $250 so if I were you I would change the NVR. A new 8 channel NVR with 4TB hard is less than $250." read more

A great company with personal service. We were considering going with AT&T fiber and installing the ONT in a closet upstairs. Mike ran both CAT6A and coax through my garage, into the attic, and into the closet in case I decided to go with a different service in the future. It was a great suggestion as AT&T couldn't get their attic together and we had to go with COX instead. He also installed a switch with 9 drops to various rooms and an access point with very minimal wall cutting. Afterwards he was always available by text when I had questions and showed up early morning to make sure everything was connected right after COX made their installation. read more
