    Victor has been amazing and he is so professional and his customer service is excellent. I brought my mom and he helped us with a smooth process and we were out with our Google fiber box in a very quick time. Next day same thing with my dad. Thank you Victor.

    It has now been 24 hours since I got my google fiber and I can't say I love but can't really hate it. I was tired of cox so I switched because they kept sending me thousands of mail about their $70/mo offer for 1gbps speeds. The application was so simple and the pickup was ready by next day. The office is located inside The Village apartments so parking is terrible because there's never space in front of the store. The employees there are presumably college kids who couldn't care less what customer service means. Not a single person stood up or acknowledged me upon entry except the one who was actually going to help me out and even then he didn't bother to stand up to greet me. He spent his entire time sitting at the chair he was already at and plugging away at his MacBook. If you were a touch and go individual then you wouldn't mind the lackluster service but don't come here expecting something spectacular. I got home and started setting up but grew frustrated because the Ethernet to my fiber Jack wasn't working throughout my home which led to me plugging one of my wifi points directly into the fiber Jack itself in order for it to work. During this issue I found that it was free to have a technician out to install which was neat but I work from home and didn't have any time to waste. The following day I received a text message from who I assume is the sales rep that helped me out. He messaged me because he couldn't get the serial numbers written down correctly on my file which provide to be extremely inconvenient because I had to open up my electrical closet just to retrieve this info for him. I obviously have no clue if this is something he could've just checked himself before handing me the product but it just adds to my annoyance as well. The last thing that really annoyed me was the fact that the service boasts of 1gbps and yet it never went above 200mbps.... However, if you do a speed test on the google fiber app it shows 800+mbps. Seems shady to me and truthfully I see no difference in speed having moved from Cox. But alas, service providers never get a good review because their customer service and rates are never that great. I hope that I'll come to enjoy my service with Google but I don't have my hopes up too high. (60/100--2022)

    False statement that you get notice when tech is on the way

    I got a text at 8 am that I had a 10 am appt and that I would receive a link when tech was on the way. By 9:45 I had not received a link indicating they were on the way. To be on the safe side I started heading home to meet them . I got home and began texting to ask about when was the tech going to be heading over. . At 10:26 I got a call with google fiber claiming they had been here already and asking to reschedule . They said they could not come back til 2:30 pm. I said please have the tech come back if they had been here , they had a 30 minute window to arrive, they had a 2 hour window set aside to get the job done , they never gave notice they were on the way and I am here at home ( I'd left work to meet them) I was placed on hold twice , they said it was hard to reach the tech. By the time they answered they said they can come back at 2:30 since they had another appt. Well, what happened to my appt . I cannot wait for then to come back for a 2:30-4:30 pm time slot, I can't take 6 hours out of my day for this appt . Anyhow, looks like they decided to have a long lunch . This is my only day off until 7 days and I waited over a week for this. I asked to speak to a supervisor because I question if anyone ever even tried to come over today , but I'm not allowed to speak to a supervisor . I asked why didn't I ever get the notice that the tech was on the way as stated in this morning's text? The person on the phone said they are not aware of that link. In the past google fiber gave good service, I'm very disappointed .

    This location is beautiful and convenient for those who live off this traffic circle set up. For the rest of us, it's a little annoying to find. Thankfully, I went at a time when there wasn't high traffic so I was able the take my time and slowly find it. The storefront is attractive and clear. Once inside, it is a bright and welcoming space with 4 distinct spots for people to relax and wait or meet with their consultant in. This helps to reinforce Covid safety measures. Speaking of Covid, they have plenty of masks and hand sanitizer available. Restroom is unavailable at this time. Now to the service part. My consultant was very thorough with explanations. He showed me step by step how I would be setting up my internet at home. He even proactively thought of what kind of questions I might have and addressed them there. Thanks though him, I was able to set up my internet easily and quickly.

    Do it! Google Fiber is one of the most cost effective decisions you will make regarding your bills. Technology is rapidly evolving. More and more devices are starting to use WiFi all the time. Freaking some washing machines connect to Wifi now! Do yourself a favor and get you enough Mbps that will support a ton of devices. What you pay for Google Fiber for 1000 Mbps is equivalent to 600 Mbps with any other provider after renting equipment like routers and Wifi extenders. Highly recommend Google Fiber! Really disappointing - I will update whether or not they "overbook" again tomorrow and how it went - until then, apparently go to public places for internet and walk outside for calls. I sent my wife, as I wanted her to gain the experience of exchanging a defective rental converter. In the past, they simply scanned the barcode on the bottom and promptly provided an exchange. However, this time they gave her a hard time. They insisted she provide the name of my first pet, as a child. This is a secret question to prove who you are, when all else fails. Needless to say, she had no idea, as she is not me. The fact she had the Cox rental equipment and was simply looking for an exchange was not enough. Se had a drivers license with the same last name and address as the account, meant nothing. She was forced to call me to get the secret answer. I consider this elder abuse, as she was 80 and had trouble hearing through the entire ordeal. I do not blame the employee, as they were trained to make these unreasonable requests. It is the Cox policy that I find fault with. Am I happy with the Cox cable service? In general yes, but paying more than $3,600 yearly for equipment rental and service should provide me better customer service. What would Cox had done if I sent my grandson or niece to do the exchange? Maybe Cox selling out to Spectrum brought about this change? Or Cox has simply decided to become less friendly to their paying customers? In any case, should I have any further poor service, I will switch to satellite service. Do not deal with Cox Cable!

A few months ago our Internet speed went down from 100Mbps to 3Mbps. Yes, three. It took them about 3 weeks to get it fixed. In the process I have been in contact with mediocre customer service reps that are trained to copy/paste boiler plate responses. It doesn't matter whether they've given you an answer or ETA. They'd always ask, "Is there anything else that I can help you with?" so they can end it asap. This time around I had to move my service to a different address. The first rep that I talked to set up the install schedule. A day later I still didn't get any sort of confirmation. I contacted them again. Turns out that the schedule wasn't made at all. So I had to make another request. The rep that I chatted with this time was extremely slow and couldn't get a grip of the issue and task to be done. In the end, the install was scheduled. But wait... I ain't falling for this again. I immediately contacted them again to see if there was an install scheduled. Yes, there was, except that it was scheduled to be done at my OLD ADDRESS!! How can they mix this up?? Come on.. transfer of service to a new address that you were aware that was not in your system yet. Need any more clues on where to send the technician to? So, it took me the third time to get this simple job done.
