My experience with Airborne started off on a real positive note.  The main contact, Jennifer, was responsive to my questions and emails as we scheduled Airborne to move our office furniture to support the installation of new carpet over the weekend.  We have 4 offices, a receptions area, lobby, and conference area that was to have all of the furniture completely moved out on Friday evening and then back in early Monday morning.  This timeline was critical to minimize interruption to our business as much as possible. The movers arrived on Friday evening and were exceptional!  Ben was professional, quick and efficient.  I felt real good about our decision to use Airborne and was not concerned at all about their ability to complete the project on Monday morning as scheduled and planned. I arrived to the office Monday morning at 7:30 AM and was excited to complete this project.  I called Jennifer's cell phone when I got in to obtain an ETA for the movers.   I left a message and called again at 8:00 AM since I did not receive a call back.  This time it went direct to VM.  I called several more times, with messages left, that all went unanswered.  By 9:00 AM I still had not heard back from Jennifer and our entire office was in and ready to get their offices re-situated.  I immediately had to secure alternative movers once I came to the realization that Jennifer breeched our agreement and was not going to respond to my multiple requests for a call back. Jennifers lack of professionalism or common courtesy cost my business a half-day's worth of production.  I emailed her asking for an explanation and as of end of day Monday I have yet to receive a response via email or phone call.   I caution anyone to use Airborne that is looking for professionalism and a company to fulfill their commitments or at least answer your urgent phone calls/emails. One word "HIRE" We moved when the pandemic put us in lockdown mode. Even when I thought this would cause a delay in our move they promised me they would still move us no matter what happens. This business venture started out quite well. Oleg and I communicated back and forth efficiently. He answered a lot of my questions as I expressed to him my concerns about specific pieces of furniture that needed to be moved. One in particular, a very heavy mirror that was hanging on the wall quite high. We spoke back and forth for a few weeks as my moving schedule kept changing. This is my 4th move in 5 years. We are pros at this, fast forward to moving day (09/01/19), Oleg assures me that he will have a team of great movers on hand. I felt confident in this move going forth. On the day of the move, 4 guys + 1 foreman/supervisor (Benjamin) showed up and none of them struck me as professional movers. We were in the thick of it and there was nothing I could do except hope and pray that they proved me wrong. 2 of the employees spoke no English, which is a problem when your trying to move in a timely manner. The main employee, Joesph had to translate back and forth, that in itself can slow the process down. Also I noticed they showed up in a rented U-haul and the communication was not there to not inform us about their truck until they actually got to my house. Again, we are in the thick of it and there's nothing much I can do but proceed with caution. The first part of the move was okay except for the mirror situation. Previously, I had sent pictures to Oleg about the mirror letting him know it was hanging high on the wall and would need all hands on deck to get it down safely and smoothly. Yet, Benjamin panicked and said he had no knowledge of the mirror and how high it was hanging. They had no ladder, so the two smallest guys of the group had to get on my dining room table and reach up and take the mirror down. (Very professional and not prepared.) They removed everything from the old house in a timely manner and that's about as good as it got. Arriving to the new house, it was all downhill. We informed Oleg weeks ago we were moving to the second floor which had stairs. This is where the troubles began. They struggled with literally everything we had. We had a new refrigerator and because of their lack of training, they tried to bring it up with the doors on. By them forcing it up the first few stairs, they realized it would have to come back down and the doors would have to be removed. It should have been thought of before they started it. This slowed the process down a lot. By them trying to force the refrigerator upstairs, we noticed several dents on it. The first one we found and was pointed out by Benjamin. Later after they left, we found more and it did not sit well with us. All of our furniture took a hit. Scratches, dents, chipping and damaged. You name it, it happened. The time seemed to stop but the clock was still running while they were trying to assemble my mechanical bed. They couldn't connect the headboard correctly and struggled. Because of this, it ran over the time we had allotted. They had trouble bringing up almost all of our furniture. Fast forward 2 weeks later, we were completely moved in and we noticed more things wrong and things were broken and unaccounted for. To this day, they broke at least 10 glass items and some personal items are still missing. Every box is broken down. I reached out to Oleg , and let him know about the refrigerator and my moms bedroom set was damaged. I also let him know items were broken. He became irritated that I did not reach out sooner, I informed him I did not open each box in one day and find what was damaged or missing. This is the first time that this has happened to us. I let him in the beginning I wouldn't write a review and perhaps he should retrain his staff for the next big move. He seemed gracious and offered to send a gift card but it has been 3 months since I moved in and there has been no contact with Oleg. Therefore, I decided people needed to know what they are getting into if they choose to hire this company. These are not professional movers at all. They were struggling. The whole move took 8 hours (moving from Orange to Tustin) Downsizing from 1,500 sq.feet to 1,000 sq ft. should not take this long considering EVERYTHING was packed and secured. I am highly disappointed in this company. It is a bit misleading to think your going to get actual professional movers when in reality, amateurs show up. It was never about the gift card. It is about the accountability and principle. This was a very expensive move and it didn't measure up to what we paid for + tipping. So many things were damaged that we had to replace ourselves or wasn't replaceable. I've moved 4x with the same furniture and never had anything come back this damaged. I cannot recommend them at all. They have a lot to learn if they are going to stay in business. For the record Oleg was not present on the day of the move. read more

Their no hidden rates included no double drive, 2 lifters, a massive 24ft truck & all the necessary equipment such as blankets and tie downs. I highly recommend this moving company. I contacted this company via Yelp only three days before I needed to move. They responded within 20 minutes of my request and we had the move scheduled within an hour. They were also flexible with the start time the day of the move as I was waiting on a cashiers check to arrive via USPS so I could get the keys to my new place. They helped me empty a storage unit and then my house and even accommodated me by holding my stuff in their truck overnight when I was unable to get the keys to my new place that day (don't rely on USPS if timeline for receipt of said item is critical). The crew was efficient and careful with my things and the moving lead Benjamin was very kind and thoughtful about my situation. He helped me figure out a solution and worked with the owner to help me out. Moving isn't cheap but I know I got a great deal as I got quotes from 5 other places on yelp and Airborne was the best by far. I would definitely recommend AMC guys for your next moving. It was so easy to schedule a next day appointment with no stress. Oleg is very reliable guy and he replied to me promptly all the time. That makes a great user experience for me as I hate moving days and try to skip them. I had originally reviewed this company and gave them a great review, however after we unpacked the truck we found several things broken. The day before they packed the truck, I have to say Jennifer accommodated us when the truck broke down. She was great through that whole ordeal. There were two guys that packed the truck (we had originally agreed on three) but I guess due to having to move to the next day they only had two movers. The truck was packed well, or so we thought. It looked like they knew what they were doing. We provided 12 moving blankets and three packs of rope that they were supposed to use. When we got to our location (we traveled a few states) we opened the truck and quite a few things fell out. Seems to me people who do this for a living would pack things so they don't fall out when you open the truck. As we started unpacking we found out the guys who packed the truck somehow broke off the control knobs on the front of the washing machine. Because of how they were broken off, the front panel has to be replaced ($160.00!). There was also a table that was broken and several pieces of furniture that were scratched. My dad (who is the one who moved) called Jennifer to discuss this with her and he was told that he should have let her know the day we discovered it. (It's only been 4 days since the truck was unpacked and we had other pressing things to take care of, like getting water and electricity turned on, setting up the bedrooms, unpacking dishes, etc. My dad is elderly and this all takes time. Jennifer actually told my dad that it is not their fault!! Who else's fault could it have been?? No one but theirs! If you decide to use this company, (and i don't recommend it) I highly suggest you get insurance to cover your things in case they are damaged or broken while being packed. I do understand that things can be lightly scratched and things do happen. But to have the front of your washer destroyed, furniture broken and scratched because they didn't bother to tie things down or shove them on top carelessly is ridiculous, not to mention to claim nothing is their fault and take no responsibility is outrageous. read more

I asked to move household items from a 10'x15' storage unit in Huntington Beach then drive to an apartment in Orange right off of the 55 freeway then take everything to a 2 story house in Corona. I was told to be in Huntington Beach at 9:00 but the movers did not show up until 9:30 but I understand traffic can cause a problem. The movers filled up the truck at one level and do not stack anything. They said it would take too much time to reorganize the truck and they now need to change the plan to go to Corona directly from Huntington Beach then go back to Orange to get the stuff from the apartment and unload again in Corona. Of course this was going to double the original estimate from about $500.00 to over $1000.00. because the hourly rate is $90.00 per hour plus $4.00 per mile. So we go to Corona and unload but the movers say they will not move the furniture upstairs so they leave everything downstairs in the garage and the living room and we watched them damage my tables. At this point I said I was done and told them I would finish the move myself and paid them for half a move at the original full price. I rented a U-haul truck with 2 friends and finished the rest of the move that day and now I have to pay someone else to move the furniture upstairs and refinish the damaged tables. read more

My husband and I initially worked with a moving team that was so expensive, we would have lost our entire budget for moving costs into our new home. We decided to look around and were contacted almost immediately by Airborne Moving company, they gave us a set price for two men an a truck for a six hour drive. To make a long story short, they went 200% beyond meeting our needs and expectations. They accomodated changing our move date due to a fire in our new house area, they sent four men an a truck and kept the price the same. Instead of emptying one storage area, they emptied two storage units, fitting all of our stuff into their truck, and spent the day loading and stayed overnight and again, didn't add to the cost. On the moving day, these four men worked incredibly hard for some very tricky stairs areas with heavy furniture. In short, Joseph and his men were awesome! These guys were very professional, quick, polite, and had great moving quality! They downsized our five bedroom home into a 2 bedroom apartment WITH all of our items able to fit in a small garage!
