I used Traditional Movers when I had to quickly move out of my apartment and they were awesome. Two men arrived on time and then the Manager of the business stopped by to see how everything was going. Within an hour another two men showed up to help speed things up. They worked very well together and the move was finished quickly. I was so pleased that a I gave them. Nice tip at the end of the day! I will be using them again for sure. read more

Brendon and his team were AMAZING! I called a week before our project inquiring if they could help us clean out our attic. I was able to schedule them for the following week. They showed up on time ready to work. There is only a small ladder going up to the attic, so I was worried it would take awhile. The guys were SO quick but still took care with all our stuff. They worked so hard and did not complain once. We were even joking around with them! Felt like having friends over helping. Will absolutely use them again in the future. read more

I was scheduled for three movers at 0900. By 1000, they called and said they couldn't get there until 3 pm. I'm not an ass- I get it that things go wrong, short staffed... I'm a nurse. So I get it. I had to pay $60 to some guys I had hired to help out. My boyfriend on only 4 hours of sleep- he is a shift worker. What bothered me is that I couldn't get a hold of anybody. We decided to drive down to the office. It's AV Towing, no moving company. At 4:30 pm they showed up... nice guys. But a man short and no wardrobe boxes. We decided it would be better with three guys as originally ordered the following morning at 0900. By 9:30 they weren't there- calls and text messages ignored. By 1000, I started looking elsewhere. I've called- sent messages via text and yelp. Just let me know you can't do the move. No answers. Now I'm scrambling paying more in cash to another company. Both of us missing a day of work income... to get this done. Worst move ever. read more

Super quick not like your usual movers who wanna rack up the hours they do honest and legit work all my stuff wrapped and covered in blankets amazing work. Hi Brendan, thank you for sending Brandon and Skylar they were great and a huge help. They were very respectful and worked with me like a fine team, although it was the first time I met them. My wife and I just moved from Virginia (east coast) to the Irvine area, and we were very tired, we finished moving everything to the apartment in 3 hrs and they helped get the Penske truck and car carrier out of our private community without a "scratch". Thanks again guys, highly recommended for peace of mind . read more

I recently had the best experience with traditional moving. When I called I was greeted by a friendly voice and a plethora of helpful information. I was concerned the job would take all day and was going to cost me a fortune but he assured me the job could be done in 3 hours or less-and it was. The movers who showed up were not only 15 min early but professional and courteous. They all handled my move with care and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an honest/reliable moving company. Recently I moved to from Orange County to Fallbrook and was concerned the mileage was going to drive up the overall cost, but that was not the case! Give Brendon, the owner, a call and he will go out of his way to give you a great experience. read more

We moved from San Clemente to orange this weekend and were browsing through various movers and came across this traditional moving company. I called them up and Mike spoke to me. He was very nice in his conversation and and gave me the confidence that I should choose them for our move. During the day of the move, they arrived right on time and were very quick in loading. They also disassembled the bed and shrink wrapped it nicely before loading it.they had covered all fragile items with blankets so it doesn't not get damage. They made sure they were extra careful with all the stuff. They loaded all the stuff in our new apt and were very quick and really nice movers. I strongly recommend them for your moving. read more

I used these guys a couple weeks ago and they were awesome. I moved into a two story house and have very large and difficult furniture. Also, very valuable and fragile belongings. They packed and moved everything with great care and the guys were very kind. Mike was very helpful and understanding of my expensive antiques. I highly recommend these guys and would definently use them again! read more

TL;DR: My experience with Traditional Moving Co was pretty good. The team that arrived at my door was on time, ready to work, and seemed happy to be there. Michael's communication after the move was good, and he was able to work through getting an insurance claim on my refrigerator. The long version: A team of 3 guys showed up to my house, and impressively packed a 3+bedroom into the truck in a little over 4 hours. They must have some crazy experience with the game Tetris. However, because they packed the truck so full, some casualties were had. There were definitely some pieces of furniture that we should have opted to move ourselves. In all we lost 3 cocktail tables, a few pieces of glassware, and our fridge was damaged. The fridge was the only piece we were really worried about. After the 3 guys had unloaded into our new place (again, in 4 hours, with nearly everything in the room it was supposed to be in), I placed a call to Michael about getting my refrigerator door fixed. At first I was worried that Michael might blow me off, and not want to file the insurance claim. Initial communication was slow, which through up some red flags. In the end though, Michael pulled through and sent a check to cover the damage with almost no fuss. Perfect ending to the story. All in all we had a good experience with Traditional Movers. Next time we move we'll be a bit more particular about what items go in the truck, and what items come with us. read more

We used Mike and Casey last year in June to move a short distance, but we had A LOT to move. We were moving from a one bedroom to a two bedroom and they were awesome. Very accommodating, very helpful and efficient. They were able to solve every moving problem they came across and even helped us finish packing!!! We are planning to move again in June so we'll definitely be giving them a call. Thank you Mike and Casey!! We hope to see you both again soon. :) -Christine and Travis Tustin read more

Michael is definitely a professional and addressed my damages and concerns shortly after submitting my most recent review. I think by personally addressing every concern and being so understanding about the situation, it really speaks volumes about the company. And I can understand if an email gets lost here and there, but I am extremely impressed by how this was remedied. I will definitely use them again. read more

If I could give this company zero stars I would. We called a month in advance to schedule our move. The man I spoke with was pleasant and assured me everything was in order and I would receive a call three days before my scheduled move date. A week before I had a couple questions and did not receive a call back. I managed to call five more times throughout the week, including two days before our move, still no communication. No call three days before our move as promised. No one came and looked at our home to give us a quote. Horrible customer service!!! Thank goodness we went with Rich Nelson Moving Services. They responded quickly, came to our home that day, gave us a real quote based on our items, and agreed to a short notice delivery date in 2 days!! Being a local Realtor in the area I will make sure no one uses this company! read more

I had the highest hopes for this business after reading their reviews on here - however, I had to come back and write a new review because this company is a fraud and should not be trusted. They only carry the minimum insurance and it will not cover your furniture. A horror story is an understatement, We hired two of Traditional Movers movers to move a small amount of our heaviest and most expensive furniture out of a storage unit in Irvine to our new home in Aliso Viejo. The two movers that arrived were very unprofessional, bragging about how many houses they have moved that day. (That should have been a sign right there). It gets worse. The movers dropped our Pottery Barn coffee table - running the side and the drawers. They dragged our furniture on the ground, carried our couch and cloth chairs with dirty hands leaving large black stains. Finally after it was all said and done, they created over $2000 in damage to our furniture. Michael the owner sent us a check for $240 and has gone completely MIA. This wont replace anything that they broke and now we are stuck with broken furniture and a very bad experience. I will be telling all of my friends and family to stay as far away from this company as possible. read more

Recommend this moving company over any that Ive ever used. Im always hesitant about hiring movers for moves but as soon as I got off the phone inquiring about a quote, I was assured. Professional and an excellent communicator, Mike answered all my questions with no hesitation. The team showed up promptly and on time, were clean cut, friendly and fast! The move only took about two hours. I obviously paid for the three hour minimum but well worth it! No nicks or dings on any furniture and no broken pieces. They handled all my belongings with care and not one thing missing either!! Couldnt ask for a better experience with a moving company and its workers. Hopefully I wont be moving TOO soon in the near future but whenever the time comes again they will definitely be getting a phone call from me. I highly recommend Traditional Moving Company to anyone in need of assistance. Ive sent my family and friends to them and will continue to spread their name!! read more

I wish I could give them 5 stars but what started out as a good experience turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. The only reason I am even giving 3 stars is because the guys were very hard workers. Mike arranged and scheduled my pack and move for the same day. 2 packers and 2 movers. When the packers arrived they moved quickly and started packing. The movers arrived at the same time and also started working hard and loading the truck with whatever was ready and furniture. Sounds good, right? After the packers were finished they left (which is what we agreed on) and the movers had a bit more to load. My boyfriend left before me to drive to the drop off location and ordered pizza for the guys. Once we got to the new place (3 miles away) it all went downhill. The head guy Cameron started getting angry and his "helper" for moving too slow... Which I do not believe he was doing at all... This guy was busting his ass as was Cameron. Then he took a piece of furniture off the truck and I bent down to look at what appeared to be some scratches on the leg. Before I even looked up or said anything Cameron said... I didn't do it. I was shocked. I hadn't even said anything to anyone... I hadn't even implied I would be doing anything. All in all the experience was frustrating and took much longer then estimated. I know that both of the movers spoke to their manager multiple times during my job and told him what was going on... so he knew that his guys were fighting on my job in front of me... and he didn't call for feedback, to apologize or anything to that affect. I will never use Traditional Movers again. read more

THey were excellent and I would highly recommend them to help you move. They handled all my stuff with care and were very polite. I would use them again if I need to move. read more

I used these guys for a move a couple weeks ago. This was my first time ever hiring movers and I honestly don't think I would ever hire movers again. Thankfully we moved ALL of our fragile stuff ourselves, including our TV, computers, wall pictures, etc. I am confident that if we had not done so, everything would have ended up broken. They did a pretty bad job packing the truck (again, thank goodness we moved half of our stuff ourselves or else it would not have all fit). Much of our stuff was smashed in at the end because they "forgot" we had a garage with washer/dryer, bikes, etc. Not sure how they forgot since they were parked right in front of it all day and we kept reminding them. We moved about 85 miles away and I figured with drive time it'd take about 4.5 hours since they sent three guys. In total it took 7.5 hours (crazy) and they charge DOUBLE for drive time. So rather than charging $180 for the 90 minute drive they charged $360 - this is something they failed to tell me over the phone. If I had known the drive alone was going to cost almost $400 I would have rented a uhaul and done this all myself. They were nice people and worked hard, but they were absolutely not careful with our stuff, spent a lot of the day talking about what a good job they were doing, and asked my husband for a ton of help. Again - we should have just moved ourselves. Making payment was a bit of a challenge. They said I could pay with credit card, but then they didn't want to take my card number... they asked me to fax it to them. FAX?! It's not 1986 is it?? I hired them because of all the 5 star ratings they had on yelp, but it looks like during the month of February 2014 a few more people had a similar experience. Ah well... at least I didn't have to carry my own refrigerator :P read more

I got a quote via email within 24 hours after my request. It was awesome. The owner called me and was very personable and professional. They had very competitive rates and I decided to use them because I felt the owner was the most trustworthy out of all the moving companies I contacted. I expressed my concern to the owner about recent Yelp reviews that were uncharacteristic to all previous 5 star reviews from the past. The owner assured me and gave me great peace of mind, so I chose Traditional moving Company. I was moving from Claremont to Dana Point which is decently far. The owner was the only person I talk to out of the dozen moving companies I talk to that explained in detail the process and charges. Being that this was my first time using a moving company, I found this to be extremely helpful. The movers showed up during the agreed time and were very friendly. I explained them the value of my electronics because my business depended on them. I also acquired many antiques from my grandmother recently that the movers took great care of. It took them about 5 1/2 hours to move my 1 bedroom place into a 1 Bed room place. I have Zero complaints and if I ever have to move again, I will definitely call Traditional Moving Company. read more

Quick, efficient, treated our items with care... I couldn't have asked for anything better! The movers were on time and worked diligently until finished. Did a yelp review to find movers and 'Traditional Movers' came up, read the reviews and thought "I couldn't go wrong with this company." They deserve TEN stars, I can't express how great it was working with the staff, the movers = AWESOMENESS. Twice I have experienced this moving service and twice I have found myself 100% satisfied. They did everything they said they would, price was what they told me and did not go up on the day of the move. They didn't disappoint, accommodating, I am extremely happy I chose them and I refer anyone whose moving to go with Traditional Movers. read more

I cannot say enough good about this company. Very friendly and helpful when scheduling the move, I received a confirmation call the day before the move, they showed up early and busted their backs to make sure everything was moved quickly...and with no breakage! Moving stinks....but they made it less painful than it could've been. And very reasonable rates! read more

Great experience, Great Price. Man of man these guys are smooth operators. We had a 2-bedroom apt with 14 pieces of furniture (some large, heavy, awkward) and lots of boxes of packed items. We also had to park the truck far away from the apartment due to the "no moving truck" rule in effect for the complex. Albert and Jeff killed it. They had us packed up on the truck within 90 minutes. Last minute, I asked if I we could take a detour to my parents house to pickup a couch and a bed. They gladly agreed, stopped by, picked everything up without breaking anything or bumping any walls. Then we headed to our new place. These guys moved like terminators delivering all the large furniture up a crappy, narrow, spiraling staircase in our new place. I was impressed with their serious maneuvering skills. The move was completed without a bump or a scratch in about 4 hours. We were completely satisfied with the work done and were prepared to pay about a grand for the quantity and quality of service. The guys handed us the bill and our jaws dropped, 4 hours for LESS THAN $400. WHAT?!? We really felt kinda bad like, are you sure? Do you wanna check your math?? So we at least gave them a tip so we could sleep at night. Thanks Albert and Jeff and Traditional Movers!! I was absolutely shocked that the moving experience could be so pleasant. read more

Used these guys for a simple move of furniture from one room to another. They scratched furniture and damaged the wood flooring. They promised followup to repair the damage and have not done anything. The damage to the floor and the furniture exceeded the cost of the move by 200%. Do not trust these guys with your move. They are not malicious. They are just incompetent and dishonest. read more

My boyfriend and I had to move this past weekend from a 2 bedroom apartment to an apartment closer to LA that was half the size, and these guys were so helpful and so high spirited that they made the experience painless and quick. I called for a quote and to set up an appointment about a week and a half before the actual move. On moving day, we had two awesome dudes (Daniel and Phillip) come over to help. They were on time and were quick to get to work. When they arrived, we were still packing up things in boxes and were a bit stressed. But we soon knew we were in good hands! When we got to the new apartment they were extremely helpful in helping us moving things around so that they would fit (again, we were moving everything we had into an apartment half the size). I could not have been happier with the service we received! A big thanks to Daniel and Phillip and the Traditional Moving Co! I feel compelled to write a review on this company. I never had a chance to actually use them but it was important for me to let you know why. As a customer, it is important to feel comfortable with a mover business because you are entrusting them with your personal property. Like most people on Yelp, I researched companies to move a three piece entertainment center.. I spoke with the manager, Brandon, for this company on his cell because he replied to my Yelp quote inquiry. He remembered who I was and I tried to get info from him on how the process would with moving my property. He said I should not over analyze and to send him all the info for pick up and drop off. He said he could handle on the dates discussed and in fact he asked if I could accommodate having his company drop it off@ my house the next day to avoid freeway traffic. I was okay with that. I sent him the text message with details and asked for the paperwork to be emailed to me. I never heard back. I read further yelps reviews on this company and some discussed issues with timeliness, carelessness resulting in property damage and poor business practices. I decided this company and manager really fit those descriptions. Brandon responded to my Yelp quote request and seemed promising. He should have made an effort after we talked but to just forget truly showed he did not care. It is poor business management. Anyway, I posted screenshots to support this review. BTW- I also posted bad reviews on two other moving companies (SoCal Movers, Aliso Viejo AND Ruff and Ready, Temecula). After the experience in looking for movers, we decided to rent a u-haul and get friends to help us. It was cheaper and at least we knew we would do everything to get it right! read more

These guys moved me and boy was it a great experience. The showed up on time, nice new truck (with their name on it). The crew was clean, smelt nice, and polite. Nothing broke, they worked quick and were happy to help above and beyond what was expected. When Making the appointment, Mike P. took my call and walked me through everything. Again, so polite, great pricing, and willing to accommodate. I ordered a smaller truck for the move, but because their larger trust was available he sent it over at no extra charge which was a blessing because I needed the space. Traditional moving sent out Alan and Al to move my belongings which included items such as a China cabinet, dining table, dresser, desks, lamps, patio furniture and many more larger items.
