Wow. So I have used mercy movers in the past back when Travis owed it and literally had an above and beyond experience with them. So of course I hire them again for my next move. Boy was my experience POLAR opposite then my first. This is not the same company that has the reputation on here and it showed. The workers were tardy having us wait 15-30 mins then their said arrival time. They damaged our floors, moved boxes upside down, had several of my personal items destroyed or damaged in the process. We had complications with the house we were supposed to move into and I also was out of country at the time which lead to them having to move things into a storage unit while I was away. They charged us $25 for wardrobe 5 boxes 2 of which didn't have any clothes in it but rather chairs and art and cushions shoved in it...which could have been left behind or put in crates which we had on hand. The second move had me at a loss for words because of how disrespected I felt along with my time and personal belongings. After we pointed out the floor damage to the lead guy Aza he seemed to make a point of throwing the dolly down the stairs. We could hear it bouncing off the tile as he was coming down - zero care and almost like he was trying to damage more...I don't even know - the behavior had me speechless. We rent and don't own so this has now become our problem. They were very unprofessional- constantly on their phones and taking breaks and seemed like they couldn't work unless they were all together which was weird. They would ask me what floor to put things then proceed to put it several boxes on the wrong floors which later made it hard for me to maneuver. We helped them a lot because we didn't have all day and they showed up at the latest point possible. My couch is large and we told the movers on the first move we needed to lift the couch to the 3rd floor and even asked for the same movers directly so everyone was on the same page this next time. Only one from the original move was there and when my partner went to get extra straps for this - Aza proceeds to ask me what we pay for our place. I was shocked by the nosiness of the question and deflected it. Then he tried to charge us an extra 150 to move the couch up while my partner was going to help them and show them how while they are already getting paid 169 an hour to help me move! I declined and at this point just wanted them off our property. I will not be using "Mercy Movers" in the future. It's just a name now the quality is gone with the original owners. I paid people to damage our home and my things and create an already stressful situation into a nightmare day. I'm still unpacking as we speak so I am hoping that I don't find anymore damages. Mercy Movers was a complete disappointment for this single Mom. I had only heard good things about this moving company so I hired them just one week after I watched them move a very close friend of mine. It's almost as if they outsourced to a different company? My experience was 180° opposite of my friend that moved the week before. There was no Mercy Mover truck, it was a generic, plain white truck with a sticker on the passenger door, 4 men, one of whom had excellent work ethic. They wrapped a Staples desk chair that could survive being thrown out of a moving airplane- so unnecessary for a move 8 miles away. The youngest two were on their phones, clowning around, sitting around and vaping - it was a disaster. I was completely taken advantage of - and I bought them lunch. I probably paid for them to eat the lunch that I bought them because I certainly didn't see it deducted in my invoice. I had a three hour minimum & I have never seen people move so slow during the three hours, burning time. It took 5 1/2 hours for 4 men to load a medium size truck. Someone from the main company must have called the leader of this crew because it took them just more than an hour and 15 minutes to unload that entire truck. The decision to trust Mercy Movers cost me $1450 and 7 hours of my life I will never get back. I called to alert mgmt with no resolution. I hired another moving company to finish the job and they were lightning-fast, super professional, and I should've hired them to begin with. Ortegas Moving Co is who to call for consistent, good quality people with exceptional work ethic. I'm editing my previous review which was written and posted before the final settlement of the cost. While Eddy, Abo, Rus, Nur did a fantastic job on my load only assistance and were careful with all my stuff and magically fit everything into my rental truck, they annoyed me at the very end of the job. While finalizing the cost, Eddy and one of his colleagues displayed extreme dissatisfaction with the amount of my tip and suggested a tip amount that equated to approximately 26% of the total bill. This was very presumptuous and when I explained that I gave his team all the cash I had on hand, they suggested I use Zelle to give them the tip they thought they deserved. I was very disappointed and annoyed with the pressure they put me under regarding the amount of my tip. read more

We had a three story townhome that we were moving into and they were able to move very heavy dressers beds all of our cabinetry in a professional manner. Everything was wrapped perfectly. Do not use this company for moving. They seem like they're well priced on first look but the quality of service is horrible. I was quoted for moving out of my 1 bedroom apartment into a new house, and was told it would be 3-4 hours. It ended up being 7 hours of work. The guys who moved everything were nice dudes but horrifically slow at packing and moving things to the truck. Not to mention they took numerous breaks, which I've never seen from movers before. I never mind normally scheduled 10-15 min breaks and of course a lunch, but there were 4-5 breaks plus their lunch. They also packed things poorly, missing pieces of lamps, remotes for tvs and other items as well. At the end they were very pushy for a tip as well. Go elsewhere for your moving service, there are plenty of actual professional companies who will not bait and switch you with the guys moving. Update: The company reached out and provided an excellent response and rectification for the move. They were truly understanding and went the extra mile to make it right. They do a great job ensuring that you exit feeling heard and treated fairly. read more
