I didn't even bother calling another moving company for quotes. I trusted the reviews and was really impressed with their ease during scheduling. We had an afternoon booking to have three movers meet us at our new rental house after our 3-day commute down the west coast. We were running 4 1/2 hours behind and they worked with us, pushed their stay time back, and hung out until our moving truck arrived. They worked EXTREMELY hard after what, I'm sure, was already a long day. Their prices were great, their staff was so nice, and we really did have such a positive experience. I had to move from Irvine to Chino Hills, last minute, with a ton load of stuff. These guys showed up on time and were extremely professional. They worked extremely fast, wrapped up all the mattresses and couches, and we're extremely careful not to damage anything. The price was very fair but I gave them a very good tip because their work was excellent. Absolutely zero complaints. I hope I dont have to move again but if I do Im going with AFD Movers. Trust me, I've used other moving companies and I always had issues with things getting damaged or guys working too slow to delay time. Go with AFD these guys are the best by far. The Worst. Avoid These Yo-Yos at All Costs. After 6 1/2 years of rebuilding and literally hundreds of trucks and trailers navigating our steep hill, the AFD driver was the first to get his truck so completely stuck that he blocked all four properties the driveway serves for over THREE HOURS. While the AFD crew refused to call a tow truck, they kept trying (and failing) to get the truck unstuck, blocking other crews and workers who couldn't leave because of it. Eventually, they unloaded the truck (wouldn't let a little thing like blocking others stop them), and only then did they finally call a tow truck -- something the neighbors had been begging and yelling at them to do for hours. Meanwhile, workers were forced to wait and stay on the clock while AFD's incompetence dragged on. The language and communication were a joke, and the supervisor on the phone couldn't care less. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more clueless crew. If you want The Five Stooges, call AFD. If you want movers who actually know what they're doing, keep looking... read more

3 month ago my family and I moved from our old place to this new place. We were pretty concerned about all our heavy things, our awkward shaped furniture and fragile items. Let me tell you, I have not forgotten how helpful our ADF movers were, and truthful. Unfortunately names I do not remember, but they'll know who they are. It was a great day thanks to them. We thought our day would be stressful but they were our heros. I was so amazed of how fast the problem solved and organized everything. I remember being concerned and confused of how our heavy furniture would be moved or organized. With one glance, with second mover explained what he planned to do. We were just in awe with them. So impressed! We decided to get them in-n-out because we appreciated their flexibility and patience with us. I tried moving some of my stuff but they were not having it. I know we hired them but man, they sure know how to make you feel like a lady. My 7 year old daughter was nonstop talking to them. Turns out one of them was a dad and knew exactly what to say to her. It was very nice to connect. Unfortunately one of our dining chairs got chipped or small corner broke. I don't remember but they were honest of how it happen and gave us a pretty nice discount. Because of their accountability we totally didn't care. We were just so happy to have moved everything we worked hard to have finally in the new place. These guys were great! We requested a move from Encinitas to Murrieta. They showed up on time, asked about what needed to go, took care with the bigger objects and worked efficiently . We had a good chunk of belongings and the finished from start to finish (a FULL truck, an hour drive and a pizza break) in maybe 8 hours. Super affordable and trustworthy! It was a long day due to a difficult refrigerator but they didn't complain or leave the work undone. Really appreciate how helpful they were in helping us move our belongings to our new home. Wow! Just wow! The team is so professional and efficient. My cross country movers from Chicago could not fit my 9 foot sofa through the door so it had to be hoisted onto the second floor balcony, which they couldn't do so I had to find new movers. I had been looking for movers for a month to hoist the sofa, and every company was charging 3 hours minimum plus a hoisting fee and it was out of our budget. I might as well have bought a new sofa! I finally did a quote request through Yelp. AFD answered so quickly and I got my sofa done THE SAME day for a FLAT affordable fee. This is my second time using ADF movers (different name/owner 4 years ago), and the service was even better than before! The 2 movers, Anthony and Cristian, were friendly, accommodating, and had great personalities. Moving is a labor intensive job and they had a positive attitude throughout. I know our move wasn't easy with the large heavy boxes (plus stairs), and not once did they deter from providing great service. After my review they reached out to determine how to resolve the problem. As of today the glass has been replaced with a perfect match, and I've been advised that the crews that moved me are no longer associated with AFD Movers. Everybody makes mistakes, it's how we fix them that sets us apart. The guys who did the physical move did not do a great job, but management has. I would have given them another start but the financial and emotional cost is still the same. Would I use them again is a huge maybe. Guys! If you're looking for movers (whether it be to pack up your whole home, or have them move things you've already prepped and packed) -- these are your people! They are extremely professional, do a fabulous job of communicating (before and during the move), and get the job done well! They are a hardworking team! We reached out to a company we used before (that also has 5 stars / perfect reviews on Yelp) and they came in with a price that was a few bucks more, but when we said our move-in date got pushed back - they increased our rate an additional $50/hour. We decided told them we were going with someone else and they brought it back down. Uhhh, no thanks. Moving is already stressful as it is. Well, no games here with this place (formerly Nomad)! They're really amazing, professional, hardworking and get the job done just the way you want. Everything was moved in perfect condition - and the team is extremely efficient. No scratches or dings!
