AFD Movers - Unwrapped and checking the tv to show they are not damaged and working - Movers Near Me - Irvine, California

We hired AFD Movers for a local move, including packing and moving. We found the crew to be careful and hard working, but there were also a few problems. The good: The crew was hard-working and mostly pretty careful. We especially thought they did a good job assembling, moving, and disassembling our furniture. They showed up on time, were receptive to feedback, and completed the move in a reasonable amount of time. The bad (1): AFD uses the word "free" a little too freely in their marketing. They will say things like "free packing" or "free furniture disassembly", but what they really mean is that they charge the same as any other moving company -- you pay for time and materials. Personally I think this is straight--up false advertising. The bad (2): There were a few other minor problems. They didn't do a great job packing our art or plants (just threw them in a box) and some of these items suffered minor damage. Also none of the crew spoke great English, so communications were sometimes difficult. Overall, If we were going to move again, we would consider AFD again but wouldn't automatically use them. If we did hire them again we would expect to pay for packing materials and probably give a little more feedback about our expectations when it comes to art and plants. read more

They were the perfect solution for our move. Their team of two did everything right. The quote matched what we needed and we didn't have any surprise fees or miscommunication. Great customer service through and through. Remember to tip because they really work hard to get it don't right. Thanks again! read more

They worked quickly and placed furniture exactly as I asked. They assembled beds too. I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend hiring AFD Movers. read more

AFD Movers - Boxes after moving : ) - Movers Near Me - Irvine, California

After my review they reached out to determine how to resolve the problem. As of today the glass has been replaced with a perfect match, and I've been advised that the crews that moved me are no longer associated with AFD Movers. Everybody makes mistakes, it's how we fix them that sets us apart. The guys who did the physical move did not do a great job, but management has. I would have given them another start but the financial and emotional cost is still the same. Would I use them again is a huge maybe. In the spirit of Christmas and a New Year - the best way to a fresh start is forgiveness. read more

Anthony and his crew were amazing. They showed up on time. They were organized and extremely cautious on all of our things throughout the house. All of our valuables were carefully wrapped and placed in the truck. Unloading were also organized and things were put together nicely. We were at ease knowing we're in good hands. Nothing went missing or damage. They worked long hours and eager to get the job done from start to finised. this was my second time using AFD and was not dissppointed. Hopefully I dont have to move again for a while. But if I do. I would use this company again. I highly reccomend AFD! read more

Their prices are very competitive. 5 people and 2 trucks for what other companies charge for less. They arrived on time and were prepared for anything. The team was very nice and did a great job! I highly recommend AFD! read more

These guys worked hard. They were efficient. Very nice and professional. They moved everything I asked them too.

BEST MOVE!!! Hands down this was the best moving crew I have experienced. for perspective my Family and I have moved over five times and no other company has been this organized, professional, careful and courteous as AFD. Dos and his Team came through like a tactical unit and went to work non-stop. I write my reviews when service and all that goes with it are top notch and AFD deserves it. Dont bother with other companies, this is the one to use. Thank You again !!! read more

I'm so glad we ended up going with AFD movers. Tim and his crew arrived promptly, worked extremely quickly, and were careful and thoughtful with our belongings. I was especially concerned with moving our belongings out of our old place, because we have asbestos ceilings, but they were very careful not to disturb it. Tim and his crew were super nice and accommodating, and kept suggesting ways they could help that I wasn't even planning on-- like boxing up loose things we hadn't gotten around to packing, and arranging/rearranging furniture in the new place. They moved our VERY full 2-bedroom apartment and storage unit fully into our new place in just over 3 hours. The cost was very reasonable and cheaper than other quotes I got. I hope I don't have to move again soon, but if I do, I'm using them again! read more

We have had to use 5 moving companies in the past several years. NOMAD was by far the best. A fair price for hard working movers. They arrived early and finished sooner than I thought. Clean, honest and fast. No missing or broken items. I would definitely use them again! Hit them up. You won't be disappointed. We used Termed and Hasan. Very friendly. Everything was explained before and after the move. And Jen was easy to work with on setting up the appointment. It was all done through email. Thanks guys! Can't thank you enough!! read more

If you would like to hire MOVERS who are trustworthy and affordable...AFD Movers are the ones! They show up on time, are polite, work very hard and treat your possessions with care. I was amazed and very grateful for Alex and Anthony's excellent service! I couldn't believe how hard they work for the 7 hours it took them to move us. read more

I was very impressed with the professionalism and expertise of the movers we had. Andrew & Jim from AFD Movers arrived on time & they made sure that everything was shrink wrapped with blankets so that none of the furniture would get damaged. They were both extremely efficient and professional. The job was done in just 4 hours and there was a TON of things to move (washer/dryer/fridge/desks/beds/etc). They assemble and dissassemble furniture quickly and move heavy items around like it's easy! I would highly recommend Andrew & Jim to everyone looking to move in the IE/OC area!!! Some tips: be aware that drive time is doubled in the state of CA (you are charged for drive time) & I'd also recommend paying in cash if possible bcs you save $10/hr. The value was 100% there. read more

Great communication. The guys worked hard, and did a great job. They came across a few spacing issues, but were able to complete the project. Thank you. read more

The crew was excellent. Everything was completed and done from 8 AM to 12:30 PM. I always recommend going with more hands than you think you might need as the time spent unpacking will be the most amount of time during the move. I would highly recommend and will definitely be using them on the next move as I seem to be moving every two years or so. read more

These guys mixed up all my furniture and items. I still cannot recover from the mess they made. Also spent so much time put shrink wrap on everything, it doubled my moving time and cost. I have to hire more movers to help me put furniture and boxes in the right rooms. They left me in a total mess! read more

this review is simply for communication and professionalism of their customer service department. I chose another moving company but I was very close to choosing AFD just based on how well they communicated with me from the beginning and how they checked in with me to answer questions and help me with my decision. I hope they are very successful. read more

Amazing service from the crew. respectful and very fast in and out. They were polite and able to arrange everything just the way we wanted.

This was a very pleasant experience! I had no one to help me move my things from a ground level room & transfer something's into storage. I also had to take something's out of storage & have them placed in a 2nd level room. They were very efficient! I was extremely stressed! The landlord at my new place wasn't making the process any easier. The guys were great & handled the situation very well & professionally. Thank you Rafael I can't remember the other guys name! He also reminded me about the deposit I placed that I also forgot about! I would have given 5 stars, but my bed was assembled back the wrong way. The wood underneath was placed wrong & I had to have someone fix it for me. read more

Such great moving company!!! All my belongings were taken care of greatly! Bubble wrapped, packed & all!

AFD movers did an excellent job helping us move into our new place! I worked with Russell on the booking and really appreciated his communication. The 3 guys that showed up were awesome! They moved our whole house from one location to the other in just 5 hours. Helped us pack the last few boxes of items we hadn't had time to pack. They even offered to carry two big packages upstairs that were too heavy to carry alone. They took great care of our furniture and electronics. I highly recommend them! read more

I used AFD movers to move from Orange County to Temecula. They arrived on time as scheduled. A nice touch is that they used an app to sign contracts, start and stop time, calculate drive time, so there was no haggling over that stuff. I got a great crew of 3 guys who were young and fit. They moved very quickly while taking very good care of my belongings. They helped disassemble and reassemble my bedframes, and carefully wrapped my other furniture. The provided plenty of wardrobe boxes for all of our clothes. They did a tremendous job organizing the truck so all my belongings fit. I would definitely recommend AFD movers to anyone looking. read more
