This is like a not as fun to go to Fry's if that makes any sense. I will never forgive late stage capitalism for taking away my fun super themed and unique architecture electronics store for minimalism NPC slop, but that's neither here nor there. I have seen the giga lines for Micro Center during the graphics card boom. Horrifying, but I feel like that's what mostly contributes to the super low ratings here, and a LOT of them, mind you. But it also might be due to people malding at spending a lot of money on something that didn't work for them. I was here window shopping, we are not the same. Plenty of parking the Saturday afternoon that we went. There was staff everywhere in every section, 2-3 of them even, who were ready and there to answer questions or guide you to where you need to go. Definitely a tech nerd's paradise if anything. They have a Tech Bar there, a station to build your own computer, and I think the most unique thing that they have here is the extensive in person shopping for 3D printers and the different color filaments, if you're into that as a hobby. There's things for gamers (even a lot of set up for gaming racers - a lot of which I have never seen before then), people who like to build and DIY things, consumer electronics, and even figurines and toys, for kids who are there too, I suppose. Been here a few times and always pretty disappointed. I only go here because they carry the filament I need for the 3D printer and occasionally they have some parts for it too. But I will 100% say they are not disabled person friendly. If you have seen my other reviews then you know I'm disabled and use forearm crutches to walk. While this store does have an electric shopping cart. Or EcV with basket. It is usually not charged and it is falling apart. The store has ONE. Only one and it is completely falling apart. Some of the aisles are not accessible in the cart either. Now let's move on to the staff. While the manager will tell you they have 5 people in the 3D printing area I can rarely seem to find 1. When I do happen to run into somone they will tell me they are way too busy to help me out or be downright rude when asking them about inventory of an item. They have told me to just scan the sample color strip and wait for it to open on the machine. They have this machine on the wall that stores most of the filament and will retrieve the color and type you want. Well that's all great in theory. If the machine was loaded properly with the colors and type of filament in the right location. That doesn't seem to happen often. Now there is some good stuff. They have a nice supply of other items. Similar to maybe what Fry's electronics use to be but on a much smaller scale. You are definitely going to pay a high price here. Most things have been marked up incredibly high. But I mean you're paying to get it then and there. They have some things with decent prices. So make sure you are checking the prices at other places before you commit to spending $25 for a pair of pliers that can be purchased elsewhere for $4.99. Exact same product and packaging. All in all go here if you MUST. Otherwise avoid at all costs. The staff is minimal, untrained and rude. The disabled access is not the greatest. The best thing about this place. They had a restroom and it was clean. read more

They usually have very good sales, and even their regular prices are competitive. The product selection is massive. I took 2 towers and 1 laptop---all of which were decades old--in to the store to retrieve data, pictures, files....I had no power cords, password were long since forgotten and zero idea of what or how much was stored on the hard drives. I asked to have any data transferred so that I could access whatever was on the devices---mainly hoping to find old photos of my kids as babies and toddlers. The customer services reps were AMAZING and understanding. They kept me informed with text updates and within 7 hours, I was told I could come in and get the 1TB external hard drive with all of the data transferred! It could not have been any easier to do! Why did I wait so long to take care of this? HIGHLY recommend, especially for people like me who don't know anything about computers or language of the discipline. I make the trip to Micro Center once in a blue moon, and recently came here with my husband because he needed some thermal paste ASAP. We were hoping for more variety and higher quality options, but did manage to find an acceptable MX-4 one in a box of a bunch of random ones stored all together above the shelves where most of them were displayer. I think they have pretty decent pricing, came here once to take advantage of a really good deal for a 3D printer for like $100 and have gotten some decently priced filament here. Not all computer stores are dead! I don't know why I haven't been here before. Maybe because it looks so industrial? On the inside, it's 100% retail and reminded me of a mix of Fry's Electronics and the old Comp USA. If you need computer parts RIGHT NOW, this is the place. You can even build your own computer from scratch, and I mean build as in put it together yourself. Think IKEA computers. But they also have a good number of ready-to-go systems, especially for gamers who want a powerful desktop. Where they fail is in customer service on the floor. I was ready to buy if I could find the right machine. I stood there in the desktop section, actually taking the cover off computers, because I needed space/power for two more hard drives. You would it would be a red flag that I have some questions. Instead, they just walked on by like it's normal for people to be taking apart their displays. Anyway, I did find what I wanted, but I could get it cheaper, along with more storage, straight from the manufacturer, so I skipped the purchase. Located on Edinger and Del Amo Avenues with plenty of parking. This is the only full-on computer store that I know of, and I love having Micro Center around. Big selection of all computer parts, software, gaming supplies, electronics, printer ink, etc. My husband is a DIY computer enthusiast, so this is his go-to store. We've also ordered online and simply picked up at the store. They have a 'Build-Your-Own' area and a 'Tech-Bar' for computer support. Shout out to Baldwin, who assisted us on the floor. I wanted to express some appreciation for the Micro Center staff I have had the pleasure of interacting with over the past month for their knowledge, honesty, and dedication to what they do. This experience is something that the Big Box stores can't replicate, and something that is lost with online sales. No personal connection is made, no exchange of knowledge to be had. It was great to experience the opposite in store and be helped by such exemplary staff and they deserve all the recognition below: From sales, I wanted to highlight Matt Abele, who was the person who truly helped me the most. I came in and met Matt and told him the bundle deal I wanted, and he offered plenty of suggestions, tips, and insight along the way. One of the big things I referenced to him was my desire for a pricy 5080 series GPU, but Matt was very good at gauging what I was going to use the card for and knew I could save at least $400 with the 5070 Ti model, and was great at giving me all the highlights as to why. In that moment, Matt could have upsold me on something he'd make a better commission on, but he decided to remain honest and helpful, and it was much appreciated. He offered suggestions with regards to products I should incorporate into my build and items to look further into. Overall, he helped me to keep that fire burning to get the ball rolling on my new PC build and I cannot thank him enough for that. I wanted to also highlight Mario Gutierrez Jr who was helpful with an exchange I had from my transaction with Matt. Anyone reading this in 2026 knows the RAM crisis that exists, so I decided to try to Future Proof my build and upgrade to a new RAM package that was being offered with the same bundle I got 3 weeks previously. Mario was great at assisting with the transaction and even answering more questions I had with regards to the upgrade and other items I would want to come back for. Additionally from the PC parts sales section I wanted to highlight Daniel Nazeri. I had a very simple question for Daniel with regards to cooling fans and he was able to offer all answers necessary to make the most informed decision. I knew the fans I wanted were not in stock and apologized for inconveniencing him with questions that didn't lead to a sale, but I appreciate that regardless he still took the time to assist and wasn't bothered that I took 5-10 minutes of his time. In the monitors section, I wanted to highlight Diego Aguilar for again answering all my questions. I let Diego know I had purchased an OLED monitor elsewhere at a killer price, but I was still interested in a model that Micro Center had in stock. I asked him pros and cons for both the monitor I purchased and what they had available and asked him if I made the right choice or if I should move to the one in stock at Micro Center. Without hesitation, Diego made a pros and cons list for both items and honestly told me the deal I got elsewhere was excellent and the additional money on the different branded monitor wouldn't truly be worth it. Again, he could have made a commission or pressured me to buy something else, but he was forthcoming and honest and it is this type of interaction that will keep me loyal to Micro Center for the future. I also told Diego I wouldn't use Chat GPT to write this, so I wanted him to know I kept my promise :D And lastly, I wanted to shoutout cashier Brandon F. As mentioned above, I needed to make an exchange of some RAM I got on a previous visit for a new set. It was a very complex return as the whole package deal had to be returned and repurchased, and I know it would have bothered me personally to allocate 5-10 minutes to process something like this. I told Brandon multiple times if he needed to help other customers I was happy to wait, but he insisted that we could get it done. With some help from his management team, he was able to get everything squared away correctly and with a positive attitude. I appreciate his patience in this matter. These 5 gentlemen were very deserving of some praise and truly are shining stars at Micro Center. Knowing that of the 5 people I interacted with, all 5 generated a positive interaction, it instills confidence in me that there is little to nobody at Micro Center who I couldn't also have the same type of attentive and honest interaction with in the future. As stated above, online stores could never replicate this level of service, and for that reason I will continue to drive the hour+ it takes me to get to Micro Center as I know all my questions will be answered, I will get the most fair price, and I will get exactly what I came for. read more

I came in to get my computer fix minor stuff just plastic part broke and had to replace it as I was here I've decided to upgrade my CPU and as the tech working on my computer he told he had to update the bios as well and after that my computer mother board did not survive the update which is considered broken as far as I know, me having WARRanty I insist to get a new unit of computer and I will pay the difference, all of sudden they said it doesn't work that way. So and so my warranty is different from the time I bought it from the next when I renew my warranty. There's a ton of workers here who are very knowledgeable on any kind of electronics question, so you'll have people that can help you. I'm someone who doesn't care for electronics as much, my iPhone and Macbook is good enough for me, so the store felt a bit overwhelming. I drove about an hour to the store, only to be told that they didn't actually have it in stock. Staff checked multiple times but still couldn't locate the item, which made the whole trip feel like a complete waste of time. Way, way overdue at around 10+ years old, it was finally time to build a new pc. RIP Fry's!!! Had heard for a long time about this place being the closest alternative inventory-wise but such a drive (about an hour each way). Nevertheless, if you want the in-store experience of building your own custom PC, this is your place! It's HUGE (imagine an entire aisle of keyboards)... very overwhelming so come with a plan! I came with my tech savvy friend and between the both of us, we went to the side of the store that is specifically dedicated to PC building. I can't remember my associate's name, but he answered all of our questions and helped us chose every necessary and wanted component, showing options with each, and making sure we had holds on the last items as it was memorial day weekend. He probably spent around 45 minutes with us, but I left with the most powerful computer I've ever had, ready for work and play. But also, spent the most I've ever spent on a system, haha. It's worth it as these components would be the same or more online, then have to wait and hope that nothing gets broken when shipped, etc. Staff was so helpful at checkout and because of this purchase, it was double checked by a manager which I really appreciated. I wish there was a closer location to Los Angeles, we desperately need something like this (especially since Fry's is gone). It's a very cut and dry store (no personality lol) , but I love the variety of inventory ready to buy off the shelves. A whole section of the center dedicated to computer repair & maintenance. This is a jumbo gigantic techno dome. Okay. Let me try again. Think of an IKEA, but for technology. Throw in a surprisingly knowledgeable & pleasant floor staff. Add all the most marketable new and used PCs, screens, phones, and IT on the planet, and you've got Micro Center. As for my experience, some college kid sold me a used Macbook for a reasonable price. I plugged it in on site at their computer repair/check up area, and then I slipped out the sliding doors. I would go back to Micro Center just to slip out those sliding doors again. I don't believe good exit doors get the praise they deserve in most commercial settings. read more
