I came in one night . They had what I call an 'event' going on. Where ppl rushed on in to place an order for pokemon cards. I came in an hour later after it initially started. Seemingly still made the cut to order. There was about 20 ppl in front of me. So as the line shortens and im getting closer and closer, I'm just on my phone, texting friends, being excited that I'm about to place an order for this very special set. The manager/supervisor, whose name is tony, comes around to the line and makes and announcement. Specifically stating that they will NOT place multiple orders for individuals. I paid no attention, it didn't apply to me. I had just got there 15 minutes ago and hadn't placed any order yet, I thought. Then tony looks at me and proceeds to tell me that I should leave and that he will not be taking my order. I didn't listen to him. There were only 4 ppl in front of me. I was almost there. Soon as I got in front of the cashier, tony comes rushing from around that corner and tells me he's not taking my order. I kept asking why so he tells me to talk to security or call corporate. I'm confused as fuck! Then the female cashier looks up my account and tells me that I've been buying from other stores and now that I can't buy from their store. So I'm asking myself, if I bought a tv from the other location, I can't buy another tv at this location?? I started to feel like tony was discriminating against me. Becuz I came to realization that buying/purchasing from other stores was not the issue here. Becuz tony had already told me before I even got to the register that he was not going to take my order if I'm intending to place multiple orders. Which I hadn't. We went back and forth, and then begins to tell me that he now will take my order but it WILL be canceled. So after discriminating against me, he now wants to threaten me by deliberately canceling my order. So as he proceeds to place my order. I give him that necessary information that he needed. I gave him the sku number for the product that I wanted. And after I gave him that number he says to me 'funny that you know the number by heart' . It was 7 numbers. I remember my dl number. My license plate number, my ssn, and even my mama phone number by heart. I have no idea why he thought I couldn't remember 7 numbers to a product I've purchased in the past numerous times at other locations. All in all, this guy tony discriminated against me, threatened me. Intimidated me. And patronized me. He straight up profiled me. I wanna have a talk with HR next and ask what type of ppl they hire and requirements are needed to have a manager/supervisor position. It's ppl like tony is the reason why I don't come to this location. I've had better customer service at other Best Buy's location. I get 'good mornings' every time I walk in after a night of camping out. I don't get treated like shit like how tony did me. I was very surprised that the store is very clean, well organized and the store lighting is very good. The staff are super nice. They walk around and ask if you need help without pushing you to try or to buy anything. The store has a good selection of everything: from TV, appliance, toys, camera, phone, bikes, etc. They have competitive prices compared to Target, Costco, and Amazon. We shopped for TV and phone and they have the same price with other vendors. You can try many different TVs and phones before making your decision. Do not go here to have your iPhone repair! I came in due to my phone has three dots called dead pixel and they said they are able to fix it under warranty. The next day I come in they said they can fix it for $349 due to my phone was "tampered" and I was missing a screw inside of it. I had my phone only repair once at Apple due to a screen issue. It is under warranty so it makes no sense why I would go to a third party to fix a phone under warranty. Now I'm going to go back to Apple tomorrow at where I only fixed my phone once to see if they can do anything about it due to a missing screw that I don't know about. When I came to pick up my phone James took awhile to grab it so he could have done something shady to it. I had one of the most uncomfortable and disrespectful experiences I've ever encountered at a retail store at Best Buy (3741 CHAPMAN AVE ORANGE,CA) I stopped in briefly on my way to Ontario Airport (IN CALIFORNIA NOT CANADA) to purchase AirPods and a charger. While in the store, I noticed other customers using display laptops, so I quickly used one to check my flight details. A store associate politely asked if I needed help, and I said I was okay. Then I got on the phone to confirm my flight. Moments later, a male employee was standing behind me silently and abruptly said, "We can't allow you to use the computer for personal information." His presence felt intrusive and uncomfortable. Still, I responded, " Oh okay, I'm done already, sorry, I'm just going to log out" I even cleared the browser history to protect my privacy, as he mentioned. Another 2-4 seconds later I hear another male behind me yell and as I turn it's a shorter male 5'2 states "I am the store manager I will not allow this!" He then slams the laptop shut while I was still touching it, yanked it away from table, and triggered the store's security alarm by him yanking the cable off the laptop . The entire store turned to look. I was humiliated and completely caught off guard. There was no warning, no professionalism, just aggressive behavior that left me physically tense and emotionally shaken. I reported situation to corporate & received a generic response along with contradictions. What message does this send? That a manager can act out, cause a scene & no accountability, no transparency, and no real apology. This entire experience from the in-store aggression to the dismissive corporate response makes it clear that Best Buy does not prioritize customer safety or dignity. Our salesman Jerry was exactly what sales should be. He greeted us immediately, walked us back to the department we needed, and when we told him we were just going to "look around for now" he assured us he would be nearby if we needed help. As promised, the minute we were ready, he came back. He told us the options available to us and answered our questions. Hubs also wanted new earbuds so Jerry walked us to that department and helped us there as well. We then completed the sales and Jerry walked us to the door. Amazing these guys still exist. A great example of how corporate retail in America is a dying breed. You can just see on the employees faces that they want to say NO! It starts at the top with management. They have zero inability to listen to a customer and try to make things right. If it doesn't fit into what the computer tells them it's a No. I ordered 3 items two weeks ago. 2 of the items were available at my local Best Buy and I went to pick them up immediately. The last item had to ship to a different store. I got the notification the following week that my order was ready for pick up. The only problem was that I was out of town. I went to Pick up the order today and they informed me that it was cancelled last night. I asked if they could just re ring the sale and I would take it today. They said they could but it would be at a higher price. I explained my situation to the manager Eferain who just stared at me with a stone cold face and said NO. He couldn't care less what I had to say. The crazy thing with this company is I just got done remodeling my house a few years ago and spent well over 30k on appliances and speakers. The fact that they have zero inability to try to make this right for a good customer is really telling to the type of business they run. I had a very upsetting experience with David in the Geek Squad dept. I called in and asked him if he had a couple minutes to answer some specific questions regarding a new laptop I was planning on purchasing. David cut me off mid-sentence to tell me that he was in Geek Squad (as if he wasn't able to help from Geek Squad) and that he was busy, so I would have to make an appointment and come down to the store. I tried to explain to him I was unable to make it to the store, and that I just had a very brief question regarding the processor. I never got a chance to finish my sentence, as he promptly cut me off mid-sentence telling me "I gave you your options." He then disconnected the call. I called back a few times, hoping to speak to the store manager, David answered the phone once, heard it was me and hung up on me. I called back again, and he would just pick up the phone and hang it right back up. I called a couple hours later, hoping to get someone else, he answered and I tried, again, to explain to him that I would like the store manager's information, he again interrupted me with "I gave you your options, make an appointment or come to the store." He would not allow me to explain my position, yelling over me, interrupting me and then ultimately hanging up on me again. I was able to contact somebody at the Tustin location, and was assisted in less than 2 minutes. David's behavior is unprofessional, unacceptable, and thoroughly disappointing to someone who spends thousands of dollars at Best Buy every year. There's absolutely no reason for him to have treated me like that. He appears to be very aggressive, impatient, and entirely unprofessional. I'm hoping the management will see this message and coach David on how to be a professional in a competitive industry. With all of your brick and mortar stores closing, I'm sure the shareholders would not be happy to learn that David is turning people away, people who have the desire to spend money at your location. So here's how my "warranty experience" with Best Buy went: I bought a washer and dryer with their Geek Squad Protection, thinking I was covered. Big mistake. When my washer had issues, a service tech came out. He was in my house for and I am not exaggerating maybe two minutes. He didn't open anything, didn't test anything, didn't even pretend to care. He just looked around, took a deep breath, and declared... "BUG INFESTATION!" Now, let me paint the picture. My house? Clean. My floors? Spotless. My pest control company? On speed dial, and they treat my home monthly. If bugs were holding a rave in my laundry room, I think I would've noticed. But nope Best Buy saw an imaginary army of insects and used that as their golden ticket to deny my warranty. Apparently, their protection plan doesn't cover "ghost bugs" or "phantom infestations." Who knew? It's honestly laughable if it weren't so insulting. I pay every month to make sure my home is bug-free, but Best Buy acted like I live in a scene from Joe's Apartment. (For anyone under 30, that's an old cockroach comedy movie Google it, you'll get the idea.) Bottom line: Best Buy's "warranty" isn't protection it's a script of creative excuses. Need a repair? Nah, they'll just say you've got an infestation, or blame solar flares, or claim your appliance was possessed by a poltergeist. Anything to avoid actually honoring what you paid for. Save your sanity and your money: buy the warranty from the manufacturer instead. At least they'll stand behind their product. Best Buy will just take your cash, send in a "technician" who could win an Olympic medal in the 100-meter dash, and deny your claim before you've even offered them a glass of water. I tried to do a complicated return/rebuy using my Best Buy credit card, and though the staff was unable to resolve it initially, they called me after I left the store, after the store had closed, and stayed open an extra 20 minutes late to help me resolve my problem. Iphone repair service was a nightmare! Scheduled a repair and was refused service because their 2 team members could not find my appointment in their system. They did not acknowledge the appointment confirmation number and did not acknowledge the sales receipt. They do not honor the warranty that comes with the product. The two team members checked my iPhone to confirm that it needed a repair, made no effort to repair, and tried to bill me $180. DO NOT PAY! I took my phone back and left. I tried calling Best Buy support for help and they've made the situation worse by stating that my 90 day warranty for my iphone is not handled by Best Buy at all. I have received no further assistance from Best Buy so I'm guessing they'll wait out my warranty and not honor it. read more

After starting this journey to get my 3 year old 65 inch Samsung tv fixed the repair person came today with the part that HE was sure was not the problem (the power supply) it was not the problem. It is the Motherboard and it will take another 8 days for the part to arrive and maybe be installed. If this happens it will have taken Best Buy 3-1/2 WEEKS to repair the TV. Why did a motherboard go out on a 3 year old TV? Best buy still sells this model for $5,000 or $3500 on Black Friday. Terrible customer service. I waited a long time to be helped by an employee, who wasn't even aware of Best Buy's own retail policies. Once I explained the policy to her and she checked with a manager via radio, she came back over and apologized, then told me I'd have to wait at least 15 more minutes because the manager with authorization was tied up. It looked like they were dealing with another issue because I saw police cars outside. I tried to be understanding, but the last straw for me was when the manager finally came. Also I was really hoping that the drone came with propeller guards and it did not so really did not get the full refund and really drones that weigh under 249gram should really come with propeller guards because the drones are for Ages 14+ and it is a good safety message as well so you really should have given me the Full Refund instead of trying to Rip me off with a Restocking Fee it is unlikely I will be back for awhile!
