This must-visit Kpop store has everything or all your stanning needs. There is a autographed album collection for the most popular idol groups. Definitely coming back for more interesting finds.

Walked in on the middle of a kpop meet up here. Fun!

Great Kpop shop for those who don't want to make the hike to K-town in L.A. for their Kpop needs. The store is very minimalist in that there isn't any clutter - it has a contemporary design with lots of open space, and there aren't all the posters and merch on the walls that you typically see at these kinds of stores. When I was there it looked like they stock all the latest/most popular releases. So if you're looking for that CD from your favorite group that came out years ago, don't expect to find it here. From what I could tell, they mainly sell CDs, but also carry light sticks from various fandoms, keychains, figurines, and posters. Not the normal flood of merchandise you see crammed into other Kpop stores, but that's not a bad thing. It seems like the types of items they carry here are better curated and selective. Staff is friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable. KR also seems to get in the latest releases lightning fast - the hubs bought me the latest release from a group I like immediately after it was available in Korea. And the best part of KR? The prices! I saw a CD here for almost $5 less than the exact same CD I just purchased in K-town a couple weeks back. All in all, this place is a Kpop lover's paradise. They play Kpop music videos on the mounted tv, provide a pleasant environment to shop, and they even have Kpop meet ups where you can win raffle prizes (I believe you have to enter to attend).

All albums except MOTS:7 V1 and MOTS:Persona V1 were bought at this location. Army Bomb Version 3 was also purchased here

I'm a fairly new k-pop fan, I've been buying albums and merch online for the past year but I'm so impatient. I was in the area and I saw this store and decided to walk in. Let me tell you, I'm so happy I found it and I will be coming back even though it is 40 minutes from where I live in LA. The employees are super nice and she even tried learning my name. I bought, four albums and a Version 3 Army Bomb.

after bts' website sold out the new army bomb it was really hard to find merch without the over the top resale price & that wasnt sold out. i checked a ton of websites all around the LA area and was really unsuccessful finding limited edition merch. i found kpop republic had the light stick and pickets from the mots tour. the resale prices wernt expensive at all! im so excited to order all new merch from here! i placed my order the 17th and it arrived by the 20th, with 2 day shipping. the only thing i wasnt so convinced with was the fact that my army bomb was scratched even with bubble wrap protecting it :/

One of the only Kpop stores in Orange County that I regularly go to! They have friendly staff and every time I go there it's like speaking with friends who share a hobby of Kpop. They have a wide selection of albums, posters, and lightsticks. Their Kpop playdates are also a fun way to bring together a small Kpop community.

They had the posters in the store :)

I'm a huge EVERGLOW fan. Went in to grab the limited edition posters for their latest album. The company didnt ship all the members but I was still satisfied with my experience. The cashier actually knew the members by name. So the staff knows their stuff. Definitely will be coming back !

I absolutely love this store. The employees are the sweetest and absolutely amazing and they have the latest kpop releases. They have a great variety of albums, posters, lightsticks, and merchandise.

My recent purchase, an EXO Chen picket!

Ask the Community - KPOP Republic

I want to buy from KPOP republic online but I am to scared to get scammed is it legit?

I Went in person and bought an SKZ (stray kids) Lightstick and When I connected it to the app it worked perfectly! I also bought a few albums; they did have QR codes in them and it was real!

Do you have any official pickets from certain K-Pop groups? If so, can you please list them?

We are selling ONLY OFFICIAL PRODUCTS, but it is all sold out. Check out website for details. Thanks

The OC Record Show has been a staple in the OC community for music lovers and vinyl collectors…read more They have shows on the last Sunday of every month except for December. Early admission is $10 to get in before 10am and general admission is $5 after 10am. To get here, there is a free parking lot with a good amount of spots. Inside, they have a bunch of vendors with so many crates to dig through. Vendors all have different prices and selection of genres. Wifey and I had a fun time perusing around and ended up leaving with a Getz/Gilberto and Snoh Aalegra vinyls. I would definitely recommend checking out the show for those looking to explore new records for their collection.

I also happen to be a vinyl collector so I thought this would be a nice little adventure. Let's see how it went. Located a stone's throw from Knotts Berry Farm at the UFCW Union Hall, the OC Record Show is a crate digger's paradise. There's plenty of parking in their lot and it's free. It's $5 to get in after 10am. Early bird is $10 and you can get in at 7. The space is huge and there are tons of vendors. It's not just records but most physical media. CDs, cassettes....i think I even spotted so laser discs. Some vendors are better organized than others but as always, your patience can be rewarded! The OC Record Show has a special guest signing each month so I'll definitely come back based on who it is. The signing itself was very organized and the employees were all very helpful. Looking forward to seeing who is next (follow them on instagram if you're curious too). Highly recommended!

Maybe it's the proximity of this particular location to Japanese businesses or perhaps there's just…read moresomething about this part of OC, but I found this Bookoff to be a delight. Sure, the parking can be hectic sometimes. After all, there is a Tokyo Central right next to it, but that's what makes this location so good. You can spend hours perusing the aisles for some good finds but can take a break and get some Pocky or a bento or a Fanta nearby without ever breaking theme. What's even better is it feels like the employees enjoy working here. They greet you warmly when you walk in and that hospitality Japan is known for is reflected in this staff, even if they aren't Japanese and this isn't Japan; the spirit still carries. So does the nostalgia walking through the aisles. If you played video games throughout the 90s to now you'll see pieces of your childhood everywhere you look: a Super Famicom with Chrono Trigger for sale or a Vegeta action figure going Super Saiyan or the many mangas of Rumiko Takahashi such as Ranma 1/2 or Inuyasha. In encapsulates otaku culture through the ages well. Even looking for books of different genres and authors can be found, some new but most used. It doesn't mean they aren't good. It just means they're pre-loved. This means you can get a bargain for some books you might have been meaning to check out for a great price. They also have book sales all the time. If you feel a need to lighten your collection at home, whether it be action figure or games you no longer play, Bookoff buys them from you. It means your cash could go even further if you have things to sell. Though the size of Bookoffs in America does have me wishing they were larger like their Japanese counterparts they do pack quite a lot for the space they occupy. You can spend 15 minutes to multiple hours here, depending on what you're looking for. I say that means it's worth checking out. After all, the worst that can happen is if you don't find anything to tickle your fancy you can always go to Tokyo Central or IKEA right after.

I love this spot. It's one of the OGs, and I've been coming here for a long time. There are some…read moregenuinely great finds--plenty of $1 items, solid deals on DVDs, and every once in a while something really special slips through the cracks. That said, the pricing is all over the place. It's obvious they rely heavily on some kind of algorithm to assign value, and when it works in your favor, it really works. I've picked up items worth hundreds of dollars for a few bucks. But the flip side is rough--things priced at $100 that you could easily find for $10-15 elsewhere. That inconsistency is both the magic and the frustration. Selling to them is another story. They'll give you next to nothing unless it's something truly high-end, and even then, you're usually better off selling elsewhere. The margins are so far off at times that it really makes you wonder who's willing to take those deals. They do require ID and seem to follow the rules, but the reality is this kind of setup attracts people who either don't know what they have, don't care, are impatient, or are desperate. And yes, it also likely attracts people unloading stolen goods because they know the items are valuable, even if the payout is low. The store itself is very DIY. Nothing is cataloged, staff can't really help you with inventory, and what you see is what's available. Customer service is minimal--they're mostly focused on sorting and loss prevention. There's also an awkward dynamic between management and floor staff that you can feel when you're in there. At the end of the day, this place is a gamble. Sometimes you walk out feeling like you scored big. Other times you find something rare and exciting that's priced so high it might as well be untouchable. It almost screams desperation and lack of knowledge on the selling side--but ironically, that's exactly what brings in so much good stuff. If you know what you're doing and have patience, this place can be incredible. If not, it'll just feel chaotic.
