I went in today to browse and all the employees I encountered were so friendly, thoughtful, proactive, and helpful. My friend and I were approached by three different employees during our time there. They asked if they could assist us with anything and gave some great recommendations. I was looking for a fantasy book for my teenage brother and the employee was incredibly helpful giving recommendations, finding the "teen book of the month." I didn't even know they had a teen book of the month! The organization of the store was great. The categories and book selections that were specially displayed were especially helpful. For example, in their AAPI stories section I was able to find some really interesting books that I might have not otherwise seen. A selection of their Barnes and Noble specialty book covers that feature some classic works (like Pride and Prejudice and Winnie the Pooh) were on sale for between $8-$12. For such a beautiful high quality book, I would definitely return to purchase one of those at that price. The other books though were a bit pricey. The employees there made this visit extra enjoyable. I don't go to Barnes and Noble very often, but yesterday's visit makes me want to return again soon. read more

Lazy Sunday usually means getting lost in an independent bookstore--but with many of them closed, I ended up at Barnes & Noble in Fullerton instead. This location is in the Target shopping plaza, and getting in and out can be a bit of a headache. The traffic flow feels confusing, and drivers don't always seem on yielding, which makes the experience a little more stressful before you park! :((( Inside, the setup is pretty standard--nothing particularly unique compared to other Barnes & Noble stores. Prices also seem to be creeping up, and the "Last Chance" section isn't what it used to be, with fewer paperback deals and more generic selections. You need MORE sales and promotions!! I did leave with a book, but honestly, it also made me want to swing by the library next time. :((( read more

First timer at this location! Huge parking lot. A great place to beat the summer heat. Very tidy, clean, and has a great selection. Felt peaceful inside even though there were a lot of people. The two staff members I spoke with were really friendly and helped me find what I needed. One told me about the free rewards program and I signed up! Really liked this location. Barnes & Noble is located in the Amerige Heights Town Center, at the roundabout, on one end of the the row of one-way parking is, across from Kitch Cafe. I totally forgot about this Barnes & Noble (B&N) location until my friends had mentioned it to me when we were talking about the "recent" Brea location opening a few months ago. This location is larger than the Brea location, and there are parking on both sides of the store. I was greeted immediately when I ran into an employee who was restocking. It is nice to walk around and check out physical items (books, legos, etc.), especially if one needs to grab gifts or for themself. There are shelves and items everywhere one looks, some seating here and there. It seems like it's doing well, as it is just more convenient to grab something at the store than wait for an item to ship to you, especially when someone needs something in a pinch. It is interesting how there's a Starbucks located near the front of the store, and also another Starbucks location closer to Malvern Ave. read more

The lady employee worked at the cafe in the morning, Monday, 7/20/2026 around 10:15am was not friendly. when I first approached the order counter, there was another customer standing around there, she said, "I will be with you soon." to the air (not to me). I waited there for 5 minutes while she was serving another customer, taking care of the coffee container, wiping the counter,... I walked away that counter and left the bookstore afterwards. Two days before (Friday, 7/17/2026), the same lady urged me to upgrade my hot tea size from medium to large in a manner that made me uncomfortable. read more

talk about a comfort bookstore. this place has seen me through quite a few college ditch days. i used to leave fullerton college just to come and read a book or two, spend time at the cafe, and get some writing done on my laptop. but in terms of all the barnes bookstores i've been to, this is definitely one that doesn't have enough in stock. if you're looking for something trendy, sure, you'll find it here. indie books that are more fan centered? probably gonna have to drive to the one in orange. however this fullerton location is absolutely wonderful. the service and staff is great. and the cafe baristas are always on top of their game! read more

Barnes & Noble is my happy place. They have a giant variety of books. I am a Harry Potter fan, so I love how they have a big Harry Potter area for Potter fans.Excited for a new book release? It's at Barnes & Noble right away! There's even a toy/collectibles area and a coffee shop. What's not to like? The service is kind, and there's even a customer service desk just in case. Books are sold at a reasonable price, and I just love sitting and reading in the junior area. There is no better place for book lovers, and I love it. read more

I had the best experience at the Fullerton store today. First time visiting this location. It's large and well laid out. I wasn't sure where to locate the item I was looking for so I went to the information desk. Julie walked me through the store - to a couple of areas - and when we couldn't locate it, she asked me to give her a few minutes and to meet her back at the information desk. While waiting for her, I had 3 employees ask me if I needed help. Great customer service. Back to Julie. She went back into their stock area, located exactly what I was looking for and brought it to me. She really went out of her way to help me and by the way; she is extremely personable. I love all bookshops no matter if it is a chained store or local. So happy that it is still open because the one closer to me closed down. Sad to see everything closing. This location is really clean and the staff is great. Any time I go, everyone is so helpful and can recommend other reads based on my purchases. The stock is great, too. Always can find what I am looking for unless it is an opening day, then you will need to beat the other people to get your copy. If you join the rewards club or become a member you get discounts. I am a member and get 10% off my purchases and earn a point for every dollar, plus I get free shipping. It is worth it if you are an expert reader. Also, each year you are able to get one of their signature bags to use when you go shopping. So if you are in the area and looking for the next book to read, talk to a staff member or browse the store and read the recommendations from staff throughout the store. The staff at this location is always so kind to me and really helpful when it comes to finding books (even if they are obscure authors that they don't carry LOL). I always take advantage of their buy 1, get one 30% (or 50% if you're lucky!!) deals when I swing by for some books. I'm always so particular with my books and how they look, and this Barnes & Noble does an excellent job at keeping their collection as pristine as they can. I love going in and being able to grab books I think I'm interested in and reading them to see if I want to buy them. It saves me money on purchasing books and knowing that they are exactly what I want. Wow, the rudest person should not be working at the desk if she doesn't have an ounce of customer service. A woman with dark curly hair was behind the desk with the computers. I asked her about the Valentine's tote bag and she was instantly pissy with her response. I get that she probably got that question so many times but it's not fair to take that out on new customers. I then pointed out someone was purchasing the exact tote at the register. Which she gave more attitude and told me the tote was an expired hold. I asked her if I could order the tote online or call to put in a hold for other stores. She gave me an annoyed shrug and brushed me off. How does she know it's an expired hold but doesn't know how to put it on hold? My guess, she put it aside for someone she wasn't supposed to. Very unprofessional. read more

I've been on a kindle kick lately making good use of my library card. The Housemaid has been on my list for a while and the OC libraries don't have it available. I decided to treat myself to a new book and I'm glad I did. I forgot how lost you can get in a Barnes and Noble and I almost left with a stack of books. The real standout at this location was the staff. There were at least four instances where I encountered staff checking in with guests throughout their experience asking if they needed help. They stopped what they were doing to help shoppers find the books they were looking for with such a great attitude. I also loved how many stands there were for book recommendations. They even had little fun ones like the "blind date" recommendations wrapped in brown paper with a small description. It's so creative and a fun way to entice visitors for something new to read. I signed up for their new rewards program that allows you to get stamps for your purchases. After signing up I receive a $1 off coupon for a grande or venti iced coffee from the in-store Starbucks. While I was checking out for my coffee I stumbled on chocolate frogs with a free wizard card. Safe to say that it was a great Barnes and Noble trip and I can't wait to come back. read more

I love everything about the Fullerton location. I like that it's right by my nails salon, Papillon, a few places to eat---by the way avoid Hoshi sushi I got food poisoning there---Aside from that. I love everything here. I have made some really lovely collections and hauls of books, here, and connections with employees. The only thing I want Barnes & Noble corporate to do is take Afterpay. Make it so! Today I purchased some of the books during their big double reward, sale, and one of them that I'm super excited about is basically about a squatter finding romance. Back when Barbie the movie first came out they also had a great deal of Barbie treats. Not to mention some of the prettier dolls that I grew up with the 80s and 90s. Can't wait for more lovely trips to my favorite Barnes & Noble's. I also really do like the café at this one. This is probably one of the biggest Barnes & Noble I've been to. They had a very large selection of books which I loved. I passed by a lot of the workers and no one acknowledged me or any one by me. One worker was in front of the kids area as well and they were just standing there so there was no good service. I'm not sure if they should acknowledged the customers but they didn't they would talk amongst each other though. They had a lot of sales going on which was also nice. The prices aren't to bad overall they are pretty reasonable. Based of the book selection 8/10 I feel like it could be a bit more organized and clean but that's a personally opinion. read more

Ordered a coffee at the starbucks that was served to me with the barrista knowing the lid was going to cause the coffee to spill all over my white shirt, new jacket, and pants. The barrista said to me "oh yeah, the lids have been doing that" and then asked me if I wanted a straw, but offered no paper towels while I stood there with coffee dripping off my shirt, jacket, and pants.
