This hot topic is one of my favorite childhood store that I always go to whenever I go to the block. It had never let me down before as I love the section of anime,marvel and dc stuff they have. The service is also pretty good as all of the employees are nice and got the job done fast. I went in today to see if they have some supergirl shirt for the new movie coming out and to my shocked and surprised they did ^^ Also pick up a Pokémon shirt for my brother's birthday and he loves it. What in the Hello Kitty is this?!?! This isn't Hot Topic! Man, back in the day I lovedddd Hot Topic. They had all the gothic vibes and metalhead t-shirts. The store used to be mostly black esthetic with some pop culture stuff. They always had the best t-shirts. They used to sell goth boots, spiked bracelets and necklaces, punk clothing and everything was dark and creepy. The vibes were spooky and fun. What happened to this store? It is now all anime junk, Hello Kitty and just crap. I feel like this store is turning into Claire's lol I walked in to this store and walked right back out. This is no longer the goth friendly store I remember. It's now rainbows and sunshine. Pass. read more

My grandkids love this place, and usually when we go in buy two get one free. My granddaughter got a cute hat, my grandson got something from squid game. The selection is OK except for young children. My youngest granddaughter ate loves hello Kitty. But the clothes they have are for adults so that's why she ended up with a hat. The service was very good, her name was.Alliey. She showed us how to tighten the hat for a young child and it worked perfectly. The kids love it. That's why I take them once in a while. Old seats without recliners and they torched us with no ac during the sound of freedom. Also I needed to bring a special needs person to their bathroom without buying tickets while window shopping the outlets and they told me we weren't allowed to use their bathroom unless we were customers. They denied basic dignity for a special needs person that needed to use the restroom read more

Located in the city mall or whatever they are calling it now. It was easy to locate and I hopped in to see what goodies they could tempt me with . Been coming to this specific location since high school. always had great experiences back then but now I've recently experienced bad ones few times and today was my last straw coming here. I came in on the weekend with my elderly grandma and the the manager Cynthia was so rude and unprofessional. My grandma was simply asking for help and she completely ignored and brushed us off and acted like we weren't there. Decent merchandise store aimed at teenagers and emo-type personalities. They have a lot of cool merchandise such as t-shirts, perfume, pop figures, bags, belt buckles, and more! Lots of cool toys and other accessories you can buy. Customer service was on point and there were plenty of discounts available. Though, this merchandise is more geared towards teens to young adults. I don't think this would appeal to older ages, a lot of cartoony brand merchandise. Other than that, would recommend stopping by if you're shopping at the outlets. read more

My daughter wanted to come here during our recent trip to Anaheim. She was bummed cuz she wasn't seeing anything My Chemical Romance, and the helpful staff directed us to two shirts that featured her favorite band. We bought the shirts, an MGK shirt for me, skeleton gloves for her like her favorite member of MCR, and I also got a diamond edition Pocahontas Funko pop. Smaller store than some we have been to, but definitely had good stuff and a nice helpful staff. read more

Came here to get some quick concert gear since we are going to a concert tonight! Didn't have a big selection of what we wanted but did find a couple shirts. Plus, the sales were great and even earned $30 in Hot Cash to use for the new year. They are stocked with tons of anime items to lots of cool styles of t-shirts and other collectibles. Walking through Hot Topic yesterday felt so nostalgic! It was my favorite store growing up. I came here to find a bday gift for my anime-loving friend. They have a good selection of anime themed items (socks, backpacks, clothes, plushies). I also spotted deals throughout the store, which is a huge plus! BUT the main reason I'm writing this review is because of the customer service. Logan helped us the whole time we were there. He was so sweet and went above and beyond to make sure we got what we needed. We spent quite some time there, so he checked up on us every once in a while. One of the best retail experiences I've ever had. Protect Logan at all costs lol. read more

Came in at 2:15pm. Was helped at the front desk by malerie/valerie. I appreciate you trying to do your job in making me sign up to be a member but when someone politely declines multiple times you can't take your frustration out on them. Also I tried getting info on a couple of shirts that were on sale ( buy 2 get 1 free and buy one get 1 50% off) and she got upset when I chose the later of the two sales. She rushed me to put the shirts I had in my hand when I was trying to ask questions about the deals. It's understandable that she might've been having a bad day but behavior like this can't be directed towards customers who are being polite. Oh also as I was about to make my purchase she asked the customer that was after me in line to use his/her phone number for my transaction instead. I never said she could but she didn't ask in the first place. If you're having a bad day stay home you make everyone else's day off a bad one. read more

So I normally don't leave reviews at all especially negative reviews. Today was the day. I felt nice putting 2 stars. I almost left a 1 but the majority of the staff helped keep it a 2. Why? As I was checking out, lovely gentleman named Alex was rude and just sad. By sad, I mean the attitude was just crap it gave me "toxic stress". Rude, because he was snappy when told that we couldn't use two promotions at one time when we were told by another employee that we could use the promotions. I was then told I have extra rewards I could use and I proceeded to ask when they expire and he says he doesn't know. I felt so stupid because I could've checked my email or asked another employee. I normally ask the employees at any Hot Topic when my extra rewards expire and they happily tell me without attitude. I have been shopping at Hot Topic for more than 20 years and I have never had an experience like today. It was such a disappointing experience and all I can end with is, I hope nobody else gets this kind of experience at any store. read more

I placed an online order 20 days ago for "same day in store pickup". I paid for 5 items with a credit card. today I got an email saying they canceled the whole order. The in store selection of popular items is very poor, it's not worth finding a parking space. Their warehouse is poorly supplied, their online departments don't communicate and their website offers invalid claims. Spend your money somewhere else. hot topic died decades ago. read more

I've worked as a past employee thankfully before the stores fell apart in 2011 and apparently everything else has gone with it. Customer service? I don't expect you to follow the handbook or your Bogo sale pitches completely as I know typical shoppers are infantile but the complete lack of basic customer service is asinine. Over the phone is just as appalling..half of you haven't searched for a SKU to save your life yet you've managed to keep the snot nosed know it all tones down to a T! Hot Topic is clothing for the teens. Stopped in here with my tween daughter looking for a back pack. Had some loud heavier music playing. OK I said to myself it can't be as bad as some of the places she drags me. She struck out on the backpack she wanted but did find a Hello Kitty necklace for her little sister and some goofy socks for herself. And then I spied a bunch of retro metal band faux concert t-shirts most of which I owned back in the day. The Black Sabbath 1978 brought fond memories of a great concert I saw in 7th grade. I had to have it. Dammit! They only carry sizes up to LG! And I haven't been that size since the 7th grade either! So after waiting in line to get the Hello Kitty necklace and goofy socks I asked one of the heavily facially pierced girls with blue and pink hair if they had any other sizes. I got a friendly reply that they carry different sizes in the back but they were too busy to go look now. "OK when" I replied. She said it would be easier to try on line then pointed to a self assisted digital kiosk behind me. I didn't want to have to wait in line again so I blew it off.....maybe next time. read more

Let me start off by saying the lady that helped us was very nice, but the store manager has an attitude and he is very rude! I purchased a pop figure and walked out and as soon as I opened it realized it was a bobble head and my son would break it. So less then 1 min after walking out I asked if I could exchange it cause we didn't know it was a bobble head. With attitude he told me no cause the box was dented from where my son tired to open it. It's a $12 item I was only looking for an exchange. And I was well with in the return exchange time. Let me start off this review by saying that this Hot Topic is located in the Outlets of Orange. Outlets typically mean lower prices then if you went to a regular mall, at least that is what I have always known an outlet to be. This Hot Topic has all the same prices that every other Hot Topic does. I don't know why it is in the "OUTLETS" of Orange. Hot Topic is overpriced to begin with and the prices at their "outlet" store are exactly the same, not including their small clearance area, which every other Hot Topic has. This is a larger store than the other Hot Topics are that I have been to but I don't think it has that great of a selection, to be honest. As much as I like Hot Topic, it is overpriced. So when I found out there was one in the OUTLETS of Orange, I thought to myself "yay! A discounted Hot Topic!" Wrong. read more

Excellent customer service EVERY time me and my guy go! The last time we went though, we were blown away though. We were looking for a particular pop, unfortunately, during a rush hour. But employee Caeser handled it all flawlessly! He not only went to grab a ladder to help us locate a pop we were hunting for but others also gathered and started pop hunting. Ugh. Their customer service is all over the board! I ordered an awesome shirt online and was really excited to see that I could just ship it to a store nearby and save on the shopping price! Awesome, right? So of course I ship it to the block (outlets of orange. Whatever) since it's my nearest and most preferred location. This hot topic has always been pretty chill employee wise but the day I went in, I was torn. I was happily greeted by the girl at the door. Super nice and I explained to her that I was there to pick up my shirt. She asked for the name and I gladly gave it to her. She headed to the back end of the store while I waited near the register counter. She came back and said "they'll be getting your shirt in back shortly." So I waited. Mind you I was one of four people in the store. Yes I counted. Waited a good 10 minutes. During this time I noticed two employes flirting in the back by the clearance section. The guy at the counter acknowledged me to see if I'd been helped. Around the 10 minute mark, the girl who helped me saw me again and approached the two in back. Miss flirty came up to the register and shouts to the girl "what was the name again, I forgot." Fed up, I interjected and told her since she was right in front of me. She then heads to the back and comes out promptly saying she can't find my order. She grabs the guy she was flirting with to go help her. The guy finally comes back with my shirt and apologizes since my name was different from what I said to the girl. It wasn't. Anywho, he apologized left and right. I was just frustrated with the whole situation. CLEARLY my order wasn't important and their customer didn't come first. I don't shop at hot topic often but I'll find a different one to go to. read more

This is one of my favorite Hot Topic stores. I almost go here when I go The Block (I will never call it the outlets blah). While it can seem like a small and cramped store, they have a lot of merchandise. The associates greet you at the door and tell you what sales they have going on at the moment. There is always music blasting so if you want something, you better speak up. I like the fact that when I'm looking for a shirt or something, the associates won't hesitate to go to the back and look for it if they can't find it on the floor. The only problem I have is the line situation. The cash registers are located smack dab in the middle of the store with racks of merchandise surrounding them so it can be a pain to find where to stand when the store gets busy. Other than that, this is a great place to find your Disney merchandise as well as geeky items and shirts with clever sayings or memes. read more
