I went in today because I ordered a shirt online that was too big and I wanted to exchange it. Unfortunately the item I had purchased was an online only item. But Crystal was wonderful. She made arrangements to return the shirt and ordered a size smaller for me. While we were getting all of the billing and shipping info up to date, I had made a remark about wishing I hadn't forgotten my fan. She turned a fan on for me at the register. It was awesome.!! I am old and not in good health. So her doing that for me showed exceptional customer service. She deserves recognition for her kindness. Thank you Crystal, for taking such excellent care of me. Yes I know I don't belong here and I'm sure the ladies were confused of why I'm in the store but I got $10 to use for my birthday lol just for signing up and they do sell accessories. Took off a star because the location is very small. I was hoping to find more selections or sandals. For some reason, the sandals today is getting more narrow. I'm 5'2 100lbs. I do not have big feet. Or do I? I keep wearing my old sandals because the brand I like changed their styles. I tried buying on Poshmark but they are too narrow for me. So I came to try to find shoes but their selection of styles are so minimal. Almost nothing left. Shoes cost $40! I found a size 7 but I'm not paying $40 or even $30. I found some head bands but online the sale is cheaper so I had to purchase online and wait for a pick up. Tip: check online for sales!! I paid $9.42 + tax. Well minus my $10 reward lol so I didn't really pay much. Retail $16.50. This is located at The Outlets of Orange aka The Block. I still say The Block. I love this store! They have a great selections of styles and colors! Sabira is super sweet and always up for helping me shop. I feel like I am shopping with a friend. She is also AMAZING at knowing my size without my having to tell her! Great eye for what will flatter each person. She is also great at helping pick out outfits for events! I do think the checkout process could be faster at busy times of the day. I think an additional person during busy hours would be great. I do not come here when I am in a rush. However, that is not this store's fault, that's an issue for cooperate to resolve. The store is toward the middle of the mall so anywhere you park is going to be about the same distance walking. The clothing is very cute, stylish and the customer service is great however there are a couple of problems: 1 - You must look for sales and discounts because the pricing is a bit much. It's kind of sad that plus sizes are pricier. 2 - There are usually 1 -2 associates. If there is a large transaction for another customer, you may wait a few minutes. I enjoyed the feedback and assistance that I received by one of the associates was very much appreciated. She was friendly and courteous. Went to find some pants for work today. Instead, I left with a gnarly injury to the center arch of my foot. They place their anti-theft devises (super hard 2" thick chunks of plastic with ink inside) at the BOTTOM of their pants, which it made it far too easy to step on when undressing. I hollered out in agony and examined my foot. It was immediately bruised and began to swell. The sales associate didn't offer me any assistance other than moving me to the dressing room next to where I had been. The trauma I sustained to my foot was no joke. I could barely make it out of the store and around the corner to a food stand to ask for ice. Didn't know injuries like this could happen while shopping or that people could be so careless and dismissive. It's bI'm appalled and will never purchase anything from this company. read more

Such a good experience here! I had only ever shopped at Torrid once years ago for a friend, so I was a little confused on the sizing. A staff by the name Alicia helped me figure it out. I needed dress pants and I got the cutest pairs and SO MUCH more thanks to her. She was so amazing and suggested a bunch of super cute things to try on that were exactly my style. Idk how she did it but she picked out so many things I loved AND even things that are usually a little out of my comfort zone that I ended up buying! I'm also NEVER one to get a credit card but I ended up getting one because of the 40% discount and the point system is pretty good. I was super happy with all my purchases. The staff was super helpful. It was the only place I went on Black Friday and still was able to be assisted and try things on. They had a great sale so I braved the shopping center to go in. They had a lot of great options for me that I can't find in other places. (44F) they did not have the styles I wanted in stock but I was able to order them and have them sent to my house no charge on the shipping. The fit on everything was great. The only issue I had other than the lack of stock (which given the sale I wasn't totally surprised) was that if I was making an online order in the store it had to be card. If I wanted to use the cash I had, I would have had to buy a gift card then use that because something about the systems being different or something. It was weird. I just used my debit but I had wanted to use the cash I had on hand. It just seemed like an unnecessary extra bit of nonsense. Everything else was great though. read more

I went into the store yesterday and was told that if I order the clothes they didn't have in store online they could place my order for me and I would be able to use my Haute cash plus my rewards plus my 15% coupon all in one transaction. I said GREAT let me look online for the items and I'll be back today and place my order, well today it's a different story! I was greeted by an employee (I wish I took down her name) that looked like she hated being there! She took my order in and at time of check out she said she could only processed the Haute cash. Very disappointed and upset. I came in today excited cause I could shop, my mom was pushing my son in his stroller which gave me a few minutes to look. I came in needing a bra...the underwire broke on my current Torrid bra, and I really like their bras. I was greeted with "ma'am where's your mask?" I wasn't even told hello, or do you need help? It was a very tall girl with black curly hair and tights on. I asked for a dressing room to try on the clothes and bras I picked out.. to be told, just a second, rudely, also she asked my name in a rude sarcastic manner. I guess she was helping someone else, hey no problem. Then I asked if they had the bra I wanted in my size and she tells me, "what we have is out there, but I guess I could check.." wow thanks. Then I took my mask off for a moment to get some fresh air and she's says again, "ma'am your mask" Maybe she should try helping people instead of sitting in the corner with the other employee having personal conversations and being the mask police. I will just go back to ordering online. There is more I can say but I just leave this here. Hard enough when your not thrilled with your post baby body and just trying to find some cute clothes so you can be confident, especially with a small kid and no time to shop. Try hiring nice people. Went back today to try on jeans. An employee named Yasmine asked if I needed help. I wanted the high-rise skinny jeans, which they apparently don't make anymore, despite the big sign hanging above the jeans. She then tried to get me to try the jeggings, which I didn't want because I was wearing tennis shoes. I guess that pissed her off. She asked which sizes I wanted to try. She ignored me and gave me a smaller pair anyway. After I tried on the jeans, she made eye contact with me while she was at the register, having a personal conversation. I had to put the jeans back myself. We wandered around the rest of the store and she didn't bother to speak to us for the rest of our visit. Disappointed.. I went in yesterday looking for an outfit. The chick( has a blonde bob and resting B face) at the register didnt say one word when we walked in. We walked towards the back and I kept saying how I need a dress and hinting that I needed help, instead she stayed at the register doing nothing. So we decided to leave. The customer service leaves much to be desired. The blonde someone else had referred to in a previous review never cracked a smile or just didn't want to be there. I couldn't use my coupon with the BOGO sale and that's fine, but the way she pointed it out to me was rather rude. As if I was suppose to know this. Especially, I'm assuming is the manager because she has been there every time I go in, the tall blonde. Her hair is also in a pixie/short cut. The only reason I went to the Orange location was because they had the top I wanted in my size. When I called to have the shirt put on hold for me the attitude transcended through the receiver. That should of been my first clue. I did call the Brea store and when they picked up, it was a cheerful "hello" and conversation and was helped via phone to find the blouse I wanted in another store. What did I get via phone from the Orange location? "What's your name?.... Got it. We can only hold it for 24 hours." Very cold. I've worked customer service for a long time. Someone once mentioned if a customer has a good experience somewhere they are likely to tell 1 person. And if they have a bad experience they are likely to tell 10 people. This place has gone done in the amount of clothes they have as well as the quality of their clothing. I feel like I could find better plus size clothing at a mom and pop clothing store. I went in here this last week after not visiting for over a year, because I had a 40% off coupon, and the amount of clothes that they have is nothing in comparison to how it used to be. They didn't really have a wide selection of clothing at all, and hardly any shoes. The store itself was clean and the staff was nice enough. As a Newbie in the US I never heard of Torrid before and stumbled into it by accident on one of our shopping tours. I was surprised by so many great looking clothes for curvy women! I tried a dress and it just fit! That's a new and welcomed experience for me. (it looks just great so I had to buy it!) They have a great selection of cool, not-everyday-look clothes and accessories and I will definitely grab some more stuff from this brand. I shop at the Torrid store in Spokane Valley, WA and it's always had excellent customer service, however, this location in Orange County California had HORRIBLE customer service. They didn't greet me, they didn't ask me for help, I had to ask for a dressing room even though they saw that my arms were full of clothes and I was struggle to find sizes. Once I was in the dressing room, they didn't once ask me how I was doing or if I needed additional sizes. The sales associate, Reuben, I believe his name was obviously not busy, and was just leisurely organizing jewelry as he watched me struggle with handfuls of clothing. I'm always greeted, asked if I need a fitting room, and offered help shopping. Seriously, those two girls have been here for years and I almost want to leave if I don't see one of them there.
