Tucked away on the 3rd floor behind the kitchen and bedding merchandise, sits Macy's clearance store. Think of it as Nordstrom's Rack, but not as organized and a little less fancy.
We've visited a couple times and always found something fun to buy. This time it was t-shirts, the last time, it was Christmas kitchen towels. The prices were a little less than your average sale price, but enough to entice us to make a purchase. We were specifically looking for a soup pot, but they didn't have one Backstage, nor on the main store for that matter.
We actually had more fun shopping this section than the main store. Partly because some of the items were so bad, no wonder they didn't sell, and frankly, that stuff is just fun to look at while thinking 'who thought someone would buy this?"
It was nice that they already had some Christmas stuff available, being in the beginning of October. A few fall items were there as well, but nothing to write home about.
Both visits only had one person working the counter so don't expect speedy service. They were nice though, just alone. read more
