I went and shopping with my daughter after lunch yesterday. This place has so many clothes that it was a little compact and hard to get into the racks to easily see the sizes on the clothing. It's nice to find a clothing store that caters to larger size girls and they actually have cute modern clothing made to fit a bigger girl and I appreciate that a lot . The girls that work there were so incredibly nice and helpful and on their game. It was probably one of the best shopping experiences I have had in awhile simply due to their helpfulness and kindness. It seems like a very well organized greased machine if I may they really worked well together and it showed. I'm sorry I love this store and being a current torrid credit card member kinda disappointed in customer service was on hold with one store for 5+ minutes called another store and they were too busy to help when I was just calling to find out if they had a item in stock kinda disappointing. Torrid, your prices are crazy these days. "Clearance" cardigans are mid-$40, non-sale jersey maxi dresses are mid-high $60s. Super out of whack. Customer service is the best from all the Orange County stores

Torrid is simply the best store for big beautiful girls in America. They could also be considered the coolest. Their customers are the larger fashionable ladies of America and they love their customers. Those luscious ladies love them in return. Why do these women love this store? What keeps them coming back again and again? Is it the fashion? Is it the clothes? Is it the quality of their products? Is it the people working at the stores? Perhaps its all of the above. The fashion and style of this store could be considered one of the main reason for repeated customers, but its not the only one. This store features fashion and style options for the more curvacious woman. They feature everything from hats to shoes, corsets to spanx in their wide array of products. The accessories in their arsenal are also of a fine caliber and taste. They have shoes, stockings, leggings, necklaces, earrings, and hair accessories such as head bands. They even have the latest trend, hair feathers. This business seems to know their customers and knows how to appease to them. Their style is very much up to date. They make sure to keep ahead of the fashion curve and keep right on trends of today. As well as reflecting the retro style that has recently popped back up on the fashion radar of the youth of today. The quality in their products is fantastic and worth every penny. Despite the prices of their goods, they are well worth it. They are just as good if not better than the "normal clothes" of today's skinnier girls. Some would say that they are better looking than the high priced fashion goods of today. Their products are not the only thing that keeps customers coming back though. Its also the people. When one does go shopping, its not always the clothes that make or break the overall experience; its the people working there. The employees of a store and their attitude can make or break one's full enjoyment. The small inconsiderate act of one could ruin the outlook and persona of all of those who work with them. For plus sized women, shopping can be a painful and sometimes humiliating experience. One store may not even acknowledge their presence in the store. While another may have nothing that fits or works for them. There is not one luscious lady in these United States who has not felt the sting of being deliberately ignored in a store. The employees of Torrid are another reason that many customers visit and revisit the store time and time again. The people they hire seem to genuinely care about their customers. They are known to greet their customers as they enter. At least one sales employee will come up to said customer. They are very apt to explain and tell about any discounts, sales, or deals they are having. As well as explain where certain items are in the store and introduce themselves to the customer. Therefore attaching themselves to the customer and building those bonds or starting those ties with them. They also of course follow the normal routine of offering to answer any questions the customer may have and offer all of their assistance. That is not very special. Its what they do with the changing rooms that puts them above and beyond any normal clothing store. When one has found the clothes one thinks they may want, normally they would want to see if it fits, naturally. In any normal clothing outlet store, one would go to the changing rooms and try on the clothes. At torrid the process it basically the same, but with a very special twist. Instead of going into a normal boring changing room, that everyone can use freely, they would give one a changing room while one would be shopping. They write the shopper's name on little white boards that hang on the door and for whoever long they are there that room is their very own. That small act of personalization is what can transform one's shopping experience to exponentially superior over prior shopping experiences. The attention to detail in the care of each customer can make Torrid almost seem like the Disneyland of BBW (Big Beautiful Women) stores. The specified care and compassion one feels as they shop, can almost spoil them rotten. It almost ruins the chance for any other store. Its like going to Disneyland and having the best time of your life. Then going to a county fair and not be able to go on any rides and be completely ignored. The comparisons are so extremely different from one and other. Its almost like the two aren't even related. One is considered so rightfully considered popular and fantastic, that going to the second one isn't even worth it. All in all, Torrid is the best, and in some minds the only, plus sized boutique in America today. If they keep this up they may ruin shopping for plus sized women everywhere. I needed an outfit for a date on Saturday. I waited for 20 mins for a fitting room after finding a few options. After I couldn't find anyone that worked there I went across the way to Old Navy. I tried on a few things even those I'm a bigger girl. Decided to give Torrid another chance and went back for the second time I waited for 20 minutes while I could find no one to give me a fitting room or to offer help advice or service so I went back once again to Old Navy tried on a few more things and eventually did find something suitable that fit me at Old Navy I am very disappointed in torrid with my experience. For the prices they charge there should be staff to help customers. They lost a $200 sale from me today and Old Navy saved the day. This was early afternoon. read more

Today I went into Torrid at the Bloc to look for a dress. Right when I walked in Yesmine greeted me and asked if I was looking for anything specific. I told her I was looking for a dress for church and a party and that I was hoping to find something in the clearance section. As I was looking for dresses, I had already 5 in my hand and she was so kind to put them in the fitting room for me as I continued shopping. I grabbed a few more dresses and made my way to the fitting room. She complimented one of the dresses I picked out and said if I needed her opinion she is more than happy to help me. So I took her offer and showed her every dress I picked out and to top it off she went to look for 4 more dresses for me to try on. I ended up showing her a total of 11 dresses and she helped me narrow it down to three dresses, since these dresses were on clearance I took all 3 for $60 and bought a pair of heels and flats. She was so kind to me and made me feel comfortable shopping (which is something I can never say). Thank you so much Yesmine for being so helpful! I'm surprised at the less than great reviews on here. The majority of my clothes are Torrid so I'm probably there way too often but I've never really had a problem at this store. I can't think of anything off the top of my head. I'm not sure who the blonde with shirt hair is but Yasmine has always been super helpful. If they don't have something in my size in store-they've offered to order it to get delivered, check another store, or recommend something else if they stopped making that particular item. read more

This Torrid is exceptional with customer service. I believe Cory is their manager, she sets a great tone for the store. It's always well stocked, clean, & I'm always helped when it comes to trying on clothes. I've never had a problem with them. They've always been consistent with great customer service. If they don't have the size, they'll check other close by stores to see if they can hold the size I want. And if not, help me order the clothes on line to be sent to the store. I prefer that so I can shop there some more when my clothes arrive. It's a treat coming to this store. Each Torrid is unique with it's layout and product, and I like that. All of the staff are helpful and never forget to notify me about promotions. I've noticed how they treat other customers, and they're just as kind and polite. Very helpful. The store is always clean and the people that work there are friendly 95% of the time. There is a large selection but the prices are insane and the quality is not that good. I've had accessories break within a week of the purchase. Their jeans are durable but the shirts, sweaters, accessaries and sweatpants are not good quality. I think they charge so much because they know they have such a large selection and offer financing. 3 times I have asked for a pair of shoes in my size but they never have it. I'm a size 8 so I think that's a pretty common size. They offer to order them online for you, with free shipping to your house, but I want to try them on before I buy them. read more
