I was at Zumiez today and genuinely some of the worst customer service I've experienced. A teenage employee greeted me while folding clothes, and I said hi back. Apparently he didn't hear me, because literally seconds later he started complaining to his coworker about how "rude" customers never say hello. Meanwhile, they were loudly talking shit about customers throughout the store where everyone could hear them. By the time I left, I made a point of saying "have a good one" loud and clear, and they were still going on about rude customers who don't respond. Maybe if you're going to complain about your customers, don't do it within earshot of the entire store. It made for a pretty uncomfortable shopping experience. read more

Come here if you want be harassed, uncomfortable, and accused of stealing. Almost everyone was nice at this store, except this one guy. Made me and others feel extremely uncomfortable. My friend was trying on a shirt but he needed a smaller size, so I went and got it for him. When I stepped in the fitting room to give him the shirt, this one employee instantly started getting rowdy and YELLING at us for literally breathing. He said only "one person per fitting room" and that was such a lie because that was never an issue. The other employee did not care & wasn't aggressive at us when he gave us one fitting room, originally, to change in. Plus, my friend has special needs so this stuff isn't a joke. Looking at the other reviews here too, it seems like this is a huge issue that this store is facing. read more

First time visiting the store and had an amazing experience, went and looking for some socks, and Drew was able to find me a similar pair than what I was looking for since they were out of stock in the ones I was looking for, and Kyle was such a patient cashier and had great customer service looked everywhere for a specific air freshener that I was looking for He even helped me find other products similar to what I was purchasing Kyle went above and beyond I will definitely be returning thanks to their great customer service. read more

This girl sat up on a ladder to watch me and my friend because she thought we were going to steal. She ended up kicking us out because she thought we took a picture of her, when I showed her she wasn't in the picture we asked for her name she didn't want to give it to us knowing she was wrong. Example of how NOT to do your loss prevention job. She need to go somewhere read more

Usually don't write reviews but it ruined my day after we got accused of stealing. Me and my boyfriend went into the store (with nothing but my small purse and a small bag from H&M). I was going to take a shirt but I never did and I ended up folding it back because I also work in retail and understand that sometimes it can be annoying having customers move things around and not put it back. We thanked some guy who worked there and walked out. Before we could leave he asked where I left the shirt, I told him I put it back and he asked me where. I proceeded to tell him I folded it back where it belongs and he then says "can you come back and show me how you folded it?". This took me aback but to not escalate the situation, I did just that. I don't appreciate how we were treated as thieves rather than customers for no reason. Mind you, we were near him the whole time we were there, and it was very uncomfortable because we could tell he already profiled us as people who were suspicious. read more

Payton was amazing with my son. My son is just starting his journey in skateboarding and he was very kind in giving him some inputs!

Minus zero . An employee accused my husband of stealing followed him and harrased him outside the Zumiez store all around the parking lot . Blocked us from leaving the parking space and kicked the car while h left a dent on the car . Beware of the employees at this location . He got confrontational and called him derrogatory slurs . read more

The staff working tonight was really really friendly and helpful. Made me feel like I was their homie or something lol. I've been to zumiez many times (including this one in the past) and have never had such good customer service until now. They have a good staff working tonight. I had to leave a review. read more

Horrible! I purchased some sweats there in February. I found them cheaper somewhere else and returned them. A month later I see the refund was not applied to my debit card. I disputed it with my bank but they now claim it was never returned. Shady! Be careful doing business with them! read more

The staff was very friendly, helpful and they were very welcoming to me. When I came in I was very shy but they made me feel at home and I loosened up because of just how friendly they were 10/10 would recommend. read more

Last minute Christmas shopping run at Zumiezs and we were greeted/assisted by Jay! I never expect customer service to be great or even decent during the holidays due to the crowds and rowdiness of customers but Jay was superb. With heavy holiday crowds , I wouldn't of known who to ask for assistance, so being greeted immediately was awesome ! Thank you Jay for making our experience easy! read more

Went to this store yesterday, looking to purchase a skateboard for my little brother. As soon as we stepped in the we were greeted and asked if we needed help looking for something in particular. I responded that we were looking for skateboards. She automatically directed up to the back where they had their selection and had Bryan help up. Bryan gave us great customer service since the beginning. He educated us on the items available, he wasn't trying to just sell us any skateboard and have you being clueless on what you were about to purchase. He was clear on how the purchase worked along with the add on options and the upgrades section. What I loved the most of our experience is while he was putting the board together he was giving my brother pointers on skateboarding. He wasn't just like any other sales associate that could had been there just to do the bare minimum to collect a paycheck. You know which ones I am talking about, the ones that look as if someone had to drag them out of bed. Great job Bryan and keep up the good work! Note: I went in clueless on skateboards and came out with knowledge of the purpose of different items. Which one suited best for the type of skateboarding you will be doing: stairs, railings, pools, etc. read more

My first time at this location on the way back to SD. Now I'm thinking of stopping by more often! Staff was soo friendly. And they carry Toms in stores!! They have sales on them too. I asked the girl who was helping me to check if they had my size in other styles on line and she was so pleasant/patient in showing me what they have. read more

The service here was absolutely atrocious. A young woman with long light brown hair with a cut off tee shirt was working the counter. As I walk in with my sister an I we got no introduction at all and wasn't even noticed at all. While looking for a shoe for 10 minutes we still got no response while she was talking to a gentlemen who was practically behind the counter with her. So when approaching the male I asked "hey can I try this shoe in a 8.5" he turned around and stated "I don't work here bro, but I'll go look." I didn't know if he was kidding or serious and the girl just laughed. So I just decided to walk back to the shoe rack to give a last glance. Finally, she came out and said we only have one shoe out of all of them in that size, which seemed a bit unrealistic but I took her word for it. The store looked like an utter mess of clutter. A strong lack in organization. Literally looked like stuff was jammed in corners, the clothing was just everywhere with no order of sizes. I definitely will not return to this location. read more

I like going to most locations I'd give this location 0 stars if I could everyone was nice except the asst. Store manager is obviously racist I went to buy new decks for x mas gifts. I purchased three thx to the other staff members but I literally called customer service while still in store the chick literally took three decks out of my hands and was like oh they have to stay behind the counter. Yeah sure they do. This is the closet location to my home and only one that had the 3 decks my friends wanted but if u believe in what is right do not shop at this location tht ast. Manager should be fired. She is also rude to their staff when a staff member asked a question she didn't evn let her finish the question and just said no. I dnt knoe her name as she wasn't wearing a name badge. Probably because she thinks she can do whatever she wants it's a little short latin chick. read more

I normally only go to my local skateshop but I stopped by here since my parents wanted to buy something from the Nike outlet. The place was kind of small so the selection of boards was meh. It seems like they care more about name brands than actual skateboarding. I asked someone if they had any Girl decks and they said "no we only have unisex decks" At that point I just walked out of the store. for those of you who are not skaters, Girl is a skating brand that basically every skater should know.... If your looking for overpriced brands such as 25$ for a plain white t-shirt with just a small logo on the front, this is the place for you. If your looking to get a skateboard go to your local skateshop please. read more

This Zumiez Shop kills it! This particular store carry's limited prints and expanded lines from all the Sk8, Snow, Surf, Moto lifestyles. Came here with the boyfriend because we wanted to build a beginner skateboard for his birthday gift. I regret that I cannot remember the name of guy working the skate section, but he is Caucasian and has light brown hair. He was super helpful! Came in with zero knowledge about skateboarding, but he gave thorough advice about everything from what kind of wheels to get, truck sizes, and bearings. Assembled the board in about 20 minutes. Thanks, man! Overall, the staff here seem to get along well and the store is tidy. read more

The customer service here is top notch. We were pressed for time and of course the mall was busy with holiday shoppers. Efrain was welcoming in the front of the store and restocking but still was kind enough to ask us if he could help us find something. We let him know that we were shopping for a XXL which is limited in the store and he asked us what brands we liked and within 5 min came back with 5 perfect options! We ended up buying 3 of the shirts and he absolutely saved us with time. He was so great to ask us our needs and deliver all while doing it with a smile and happy to help us Once at the register, Stephen and Payton were so friendly, greeted us with a smile and quick convo. Normally you are being rushed out of stores but here they rang us and still took us up on small convo and made us feel so welcomed! It was such a great shopping experience that I needed to write a review and commend these guys for excellent customer service. read more

Went here to find a trasher hoodie for my sister last wednesday dec.20. And ask the lady that works there. I must say i should have been a b*tch to this associate so she learns how to treat her customers nicely. Shes a black big lady and just so rude. Anything you ask her she always answer " trust me we dont have it " so we decided to still look around coz were sure thats where we seen it. And there it is, we found the hoodie were looking for without assistance as she always say they dont have it and just turn her back on you. Obviously not interested in helping customers. If youre going to this place dont ask associate for help specially that lady. Youll be better off looking for it yourself or just go somewhere else. read more

Last time I went I had to return something. Got to the register and the employee seemed irritated. He and another employee, white female with tattoos, kept talking over me to each other about their clothes and future tattoos they will be getting. I wasn't acknowledged at all and the whole transaction took about 15 minutes to just return ONE jacket. on top of that, the guy that was helping me rolled his eyes several times. Rather stick to TILLYS. Their customer service is ALWAYS on point. read more

I've never shopped at a Zumiez but my first visit was very pleasant. Employees are very down to earth and helpful. One even flagged me down and returned my sunglasses i forgot in the fitting room. This place is unprofessional! The store manager was sleeping on the couch in the middle of the store... The poor guy that worked there was answering the phones and trying to ring people up at the same time. He had to wake her for a phone call, she seemed dazed. Not a very good role model if you ask me. The guy working there seemed more professional the she did...And that's not saying much at all. He seemed confused. I don't think I'll be back there...Just a weird/lazy atmosphere. read more

The employees here are damn friendly and helpful, and will have a conversation with you, even if you're weird and you like to go shopping by yourself (like me!). The salesgirl helped me to pick a less-dirty clearance top (just a little dirt smudge, don't worry!). Bonus stars because they were playing Mae's The Everglow the whole time I was shopping. Also, they told me the date that they should have a swimsuit printed on an in-store display. I had such a great experience here. I used to be skeptical of Zumiez, thinking it was just another PacSun clone, but as long as they keep their cool employees, I'll always stop into this location! read more

Sorta small shop. Overheard two employees conspiring like teenagers (no they were not teenaged) to attempt to collaborate to sell an ugly jacket to a teen. I worked retail once, and yes I have lied to strangers to sell but I never plotted aloud near other customers. I was never asked if I needed help but every one else around me was. The selection seemed weak, sorta of a hodge podge of clearance stuff. It was like a smaller, unorganized Pac Sun. read more

I was here two days ago just looking at the skateboards for models and prices and a young kid with a beard showed me a few options and gave me his input without rushing me to buy nor to go away, he was very friendly so far zumies has 5 stars. Today I went in to buy the skateboard I had seen the last time.Young guy with earplugs was super friendly showed me a few different ones because the last one sold out but they're weren't too many left mhh still thinking he gave me his input and was very patient. I decided on one only to realize they were selling me the skateboards right off the rack that were chipped/dirty and used I was pretty shocked. Zumies 3. Another employee asked me if I'm done and I said well I like this one but its the only one & it's defective...I ask why? He says he doesn't know but he can ask if I can get a discount cool I say yes thank you. Zumiez goes from 3 to 5 he goes and ask this bald older man and older woman who I assume are mAnagers and although don't hear the whole conversation I hear the older guy say "what's the point? They're going to blabla anyways?" I'm thinking what the flying f@$k excuse me but if I'm paying full prize for an item I better get a non-defective non-used item, regardless of wether or not I'm going to destroy it in one day is not important. Point two this is a god$&n Christmas gift and I would expect to get it in perfect condition or a discounted prize for a damaged product instead of complaining that you need to give a freaken discount for a defective item. Zumies is at a 1, the sales came back saying the manager had said yes I thanked my wonderful associate (who's name was Anthony)and paid. Managers rating 1, staff rating 5. Overall experience I would give zumies a 1 but I was very grateful for the associates help so I bumped it two points. Management should take a leaf out of their sales associates book on customer service. I will probably not be back here again. read more

I bought some nice large skate wheels for my board. Problem is I don't have the tools at home to put them on fast. Zumiez has a skate section and will even make boards for you if you buy the stuff at their store. I brought my board in with me, it was a simple case of swapping out the wheels.... nuff said. One of the staff screwed up when they put my wheels on, and actually gave up, they flipped around my bearings amongst other things (including losing some of the rings). I had to go to Vans across the way to get it fixed by someone! read more
