This store is adorable with a great selection of jeans, booties, dresses, tops, purses, hats, tote…read morebags and jewelry. I saw so many things that would make great gifts. I could spend hours in here browsing around but then I would spend way too much money! The sales help here is great, they ask if you need help and then let you browse around to your hearts content. I follow the Common Thread IG account and the owner updates it almost everyday with the cutest outfits that make me want to buy, buy BUY! The prices are reasonable for a Newport/Costa Mesa area boutique and the selection is fab, there are always lots of sizes in every item. The parking here can get tricky especially during the weekend brunch time zone because lots of people flock to Plums for brunch. Go to Plums for brunch & then walk over to Common Thread and shop around while hubby holds your purse = a perfect weekend morning/afternoon. I try to limit my trips here when I drive down 17th St. because I spend way too much $$$ here.

I discovered this boutique for the first time today. They were having a 50% off denim sale. The…read moreshop is so cute, well lit and well merchandised! There were so many dresses I fell in love with, but were sadly above my budget. I also found a cute shirt with a Johnny Cash lyric on it, but was shocked it find out that it was $88 (for a cotton t-shirt). So, come to say, while this boutique is very cute, it has very high end prices, and some of the prices didn't match the quality for me. The selection was fabulous, and if it's within your budget, this place has some amazing clothes and accessories! Oh, and just a note, I did love the cute snacks on the bar cart when you walk in, as well as the snacks down low for kiddos shopping. Super cute.

The people that work at The RealReal really make my experience worth it! I had a few items that I…read morebrought in to be consigned. I met David. He answered all of my questions and he was so nice. While I was looking around at all the amazing items this store had to offer Eden came up to help me. She was more of a stylist than a sales person. I told her my vibe and she knew exactly what I would like and started pulling things for me. I ended up getting a Mach&Mach wool blazer that I will be wearing for a coat this winter. It's absolutely exquisite and is in perfect condition.

Before scheduling an appointment for consignment, I got a text from their liaison. I was trying to ask her for more details, and she was just pushing me to schedule an appointment. I bought 6 items to the store in Lido. At the front desk, a staff goes through the items and tells you what is eligible for consignment, which are items that are worth 1k and above in resale. Whatever is under 1k, you can still leave them for resell and "leave the rest to fate" sort of speak. What I mean is that you don't know whether they will accept the items or how much they will price it. And you get a very low % in return if they do get sold. Back to my consignment items- shout out to Josh. He was so very friendly and very approachable. And clearly great at his job. We had a great chat while he examined my items. I had two bags on consignment. One was sold within a week. Now to the non-consigned items. I had 4 items: 3 handbags (Prada, Kate spade and Tory Burch) and one jewelry (a pair of never worn Marc Jacobs earrings). The earrings were not accepted and should be sent back to me. The Kate Spade bag was never used, stored in the original storage bag, with tags attached. Somehow it was rated as "good" in condition, which I didn't really agreed with. On the bright side, the Tory Burch bag was sold within a day and the Prada bag sold within a week. Overall, I had a good first experience. I think if you don't have time or energy to deal with people and listing, this is definitely a great option. I would resell here again.
