I really dislike this store. I went to return a backpack but because I got it on sale I would only get $11 according to one girl, but the receipt showed another amount. She kept telling me different things and confusing me, it's pretty crowded in there, smells and in my opinion I do not think they have good customer service. Never do I ever shop at HT. Well it happened... I had to run in to buy a shirt and their customer service was absolutely horrible. The cashier was 100% distracted, could count MY 3 SHIRTS, and then went to over charge me. I needed to return 2 if them- would have returned all 3 if I didn't take the tags off of one of them. The girl returning my items was SO difficult. She wouldn't return my items because a coupon got snagged off the receipt. Trust I wasn't ever going back to use it anyways. But regardless had to go back to my car to find the coupon. MAYBE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED WHEN I MADE THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE! One of worst hot topics I have been to and trust me I've been to all of them from LA to Hemet.. ONLY because of Cesar. Cesar is an ass clown and does not do his job. There is so much bullshit with the chases.. no waiting. The girls on the other hand will let you wait and are super nice.. they are the only ones who make me want to come back. Worse customer service ever! I called 5 times to make sure they had the Metallic Red Ranger Pop Figure because I drove all the way from San Gabriel since they said they had 12 in stock. I kept calling to make sure they had in stock and was told they had 4 left and I was only 10 min away. When I was finding parking I called again to make sure they have any and was told out of stock but I told them that's BS cause they made it sound so confident they had more and it was slow. Then the girl rep said oh I didn't know you were the one kept calling and that they did save one for me. As I walk in, they told me they are already selling the last one to a customer!!! I will give zero star if I am allowed. Just went through my worst experience at this store one night in March with this staff. The second I went into the store for a funko pop return, she rolled her eyes to one side and give me the face "gosh...". I am ok with the attitude as long as I receive the service. So we started the return. I have a order with 5 same items and the second she saw it, she said, "no, it's bulk purchase, and all items are final sell, I can't do anything. You have to call the hottopic.com." However, I insides to review the company return policy online with her where it clearly says "a bulk purchse is defined as a sale greater than 5 items." Obviously, 5 is not greater than 5! But she just refused to try, called next customer and let me on the side of the counter. I feel I got kicked out of the store by words and ignoring. So rude!!! You should train your employees to be more professional, instead of being rude at customers when they rush to close the store and get off work early!! read more

Let me start off by saying I LOVE hot topic. Love. So with that said, I can not stand this particular store. They have the same products usually as the other hot topics, but I would much rather drive the extra miles to main place mall or even order online before going back to this store. The employees are 95% of the time unbearably rude and pushy, including the managers! Very uncomfortable feel and not welcoming at all like the other hot topic location's employees. I went to this place just to exchange something and I went and tried to put it on the credit card and it was a $9 difference and I had 2 items in exchange for the original merchandise I had gotten. I took this as far as I can the district manager didn't even fire the store manager Cesar that's there. I'm a female by the way and the way I was treated he treated me like crap for no reason at all. I went to put it on the credit card and he kept saying that I need a photo ID saying its California law. NOTE I was using my own credit card and I gave him my passport ID, social security with my name on it, my tsa ticket printed out with my photo on it!!! And he kept saying that the picture wasn't me. For me being a hair model for RUSK, BABYLISS PRO, CONAIR, ANND! ARAGAN ONE N' ONLY my looks always change. He treated me like shit and it's obvious that he knew me because I also saw him at the international ISSE HAIR AND SALON EXPO IN LONG BEACH. He put me in a position where I nearly had an anxiety attack in the store and he kept calling me names. I'm still in process of getting a lawyer and suing him for emotional distress and I will make it as public as I can. I HAVE PTSD! Yes I'm a woman but I kept telling him I have PTSD and he knew but he wanted to push my buttons. It got to the point where he called security on me and he was trying to take my credit card. I can't believe that the outlets at Orange with as nice as they've became over the years. That hot topic has to go. I've never been treated like an animal in my life. The only place I can ever recall where any of that happens is in a damn prison and thank god I've never been there. Next time I'm modeling in long beach I'll let security know not to let him in and I have my reasons and proof. This place is the crappiest place I've ever received service. And besides HOT TOPIC HAS NEVER BEEN THE SAME SINCE 2010. They got away with the gothic styles that I love and I needed more black in my wardrobe. I'd be understanding if that hot topic was the old hot topic like back in the day. This location is really big and lots of items that I haven't seen at other locations. However, I'd have to say that it is also one of the most unorganized. One thing I don't really like about Hot Topics in general is that they seem to hire a lot of people that have very little knowledge of the products or where things are put. There's pretty much always at least one person who knows what they are doing, but still. I think they should have a stricter highering policy because for stores with so much merchandise I think it's better to hire people that can locate and know the products customers are asking for. Also, some of the male employees here give some real attitude. I was overall happy with my purchases though so my rating is more of a 3.5. read more

Giving this 2 stars because of all the other nice employees but only 2 because there was a certain one with disc earrings that was very rude to me. I came in for a certain item and he told me it was sold which is fine but I asked him when it was sold because I was curious of how much I missed it by. Went to Hot Topic at The Block in Orange, CA to return some items last week. As the return was completed, the UPS delivery arrived. I asked if I could stick around to see what new items they got in. Both employees were kind enough to let me stick around while they were receiving and opening the boxes. For the first time ever, I found a Funko pop Chase in the wild. These awesome employees helped me obtain the Eleven Chase from Stranger Things! You guys freaking rock! read more
