A worthwhile record can be found here. The main wrinkle is as follows: one must be willing to look very deliberately and carefully. I suggest contemplating the light in the heart of the candle before driving to Mr.C's. I can attest to having found a few quality records during my visits to Mr. C's. I recently picked up a Juan Atkins mix that is fairly sought after in the house music world. Don't sleep on Mr. C's. The good record can still be had here.

The first thing you need to know is they have extremely limited hours right now, basically Fri, Sat, Sun and only in the afternoons. They also don't have a working phone number where you can leave a message nor does it state their hours. I therefore had to drive there on Monday afternoon to see the sign on the door. So I get down there on a Saturday, where parking is kind of challenging, to look for a very specific album. Everything is in alphabetical order regardless of genre. I didn't see what I was looking for at first, but as I was browsing the rest of the small store, a nice lady asked if I was looking for something specific. I told her and another gentlemen said we should have that. Sure enough, they had the album. Compared to eBay, it was much pricier, as in almost double or triple at $18. However, I had it immediately in my hot little hands and was able to truly gage the condition. All their albums come in a non-tight plastic covering and are well protected from fingerprints and other oily damage. (On a side note - I saw a sign that said "Food and Drink Welcome" which is very different from all the antique stores in Downtown Orange.) I left happy that I found the album I was looking for, and that I was able to support a local business. There seemed to be a steady stream of customers coming in, but like most record stores, most are just browsing for fun. I did see another customer buy something as I entered which made me feel good. One thing for certain is if your looking for a used 45's - they have 1000's! They also had a few band shirts in front. It's a great addition to Downtown Orange.

Visited this shop on a whim solely based on the reviews being a place for "rare" records. What I found is a bunch of dad and grandad records, titles I would find in the dollar bin at the shops at home. The people working were super nice and welcoming but the prices $20 to $25 per record are ludicrous. There are no new releases or anything more than what one would find in a bargain bin.

I have never bought a bad record here. Quality is always great. I grew up in Orange and I visit this special place each time I come home.

Firstly, I searched their online inventory website for the desired books. Website reported books in stock but were not on selves. The staff couldn't locate them either and said they would update the inventory. So the inventory site is unreliable. Secondly, upon ringing me up for $20, I produced the voucher thinking it would cover the entire cost. Unfortunately, it is only good for half the price of your purchase. When I expressed my confusion about this policy. The tall crotchety old man raised his voice and loudly repeated: "Good for HALF the purchase!" Sir there is no only else inside the store. It's not loud in there. I was your only customer all afternoon. There was no need to raise your voice at me. How embarrassing to get to the ripe old age of grey and still be throwing tantrums at paying customers no less! I should have left the store without purchasing anything but I was just so stunned! I understand that I failed to thoroughly read the small text at the bottom of the voucher that explains their policy. The old man could have simply referred to the text on the voucher instead of displaying such disrespectful behavior. Take your business elsewhere because your patronage is obviously not valued here.

Seemingly still made the cut to order. There was about 20 ppl in front of me. So as the line shortens and im getting closer and closer, I'm just on my phone, texting friends, being excited that I'm about to place an order for this very special set. The manager/supervisor, whose name is tony, comes around to the line and makes and announcement. Specifically stating that they will NOT place multiple orders for individuals. I paid no attention, it didn't apply to me. I had just got there 15 minutes ago and hadn't placed any order yet, I thought. Then tony looks at me and proceeds to tell me that I should leave and that he will not be taking my order. I didn't listen to him. There were only 4 ppl in front of me. I was almost there. Soon as I got in front of the cashier, tony comes rushing from around that corner and tells me he's not taking my order. I kept asking why so he tells me to talk to security or call corporate. I'm confused as fuck! Then the female cashier looks up my account and tells me that I've been buying from other stores and now that I can't buy from their store. So I'm asking myself, if I bought a tv from the other location, I can't buy another tv at this location?? I started to feel like tony was discriminating against me. Becuz I came to realization that buying/purchasing from other stores was not the issue here. Becuz tony had already told me before I even got to the register that he was not going to take my order if I'm intending to place multiple orders. Which I hadn't. We went back and forth, and then begins to tell me that he now will take my order but it WILL be canceled. So after discriminating against me, he now wants to threaten me by deliberately canceling my order. So as he proceeds to place my order. I give him that necessary information that he needed. I gave him the sku number for the product that I wanted. And after I gave him that number he says to me 'funny that you know the number by heart' . It was 7 numbers. I remember my dl number. My license plate number, my ssn, and even my mama phone number by heart. I have no idea why he thought I couldn't remember 7 numbers to a product I've purchased in the past numerous times at other locations. All in all, this guy tony discriminated against me, threatened me. Intimidated me. And patronized me. He straight up profiled me. I wanna have a talk with HR next and ask what type of ppl they hire and requirements are needed to have a manager/supervisor position. It's ppl like tony is the reason why I don't come to this location. I've had better customer service at other Best Buy's location. I get 'good mornings' every time I walk in after a night of camping out. I don't get treated like shit like how tony did me. Take my word for it Don't come to this location Westminster mall and Costa Mesa is the place to go. I got the proof.
