"What we missing (soul power) What we missing (soul power) What we want (soul power) What we need (soul power)" -James Brown Noriega Records stands tall in the city of Corona. Where would the city's good folks be without the exceptionally well curated inventory at Noriega? I believe they would be without soulpower. The collection of 45s at Noriega is well worth the trip. Mike, the owner, happens to be a sage of the genre of soul music, and soul 45s. He possesses an impressive collection of soul music. Anyone in the store when Mike happens to be spinning one of his rare 45s is in for unadulterated sonic pleasure. Mike traveled all over the US and the UK buying up soul before it got hot internationally. My guess is big Mike has one of the better soul music collections in the state, if not the nation. I have seen buyers begging Mike to let a few records go from his personal cache of soul records. Sometimes Mike will sell, if the price allows him to maintain or add to his outstanding vinyl horde. Years of buying and selling shaped Mike into a tactful salesperson too. I have enjoyed buying records from him when I've had time to stop by. His son, Andrew sometimes runs the store too; Andrew sold me a Billy Stewart record from his personal collection at a fair price. I highly suggest asking Mike or Andrew for a vinyl recommendation. These knowledgeable men will place good records in the correct hands. Check out Noriega Records. Mike and Andrew are there to drop soul hits and move that music.

Hidden gem. Place was small but had a lot of great stuff.L. Owner Mike made sure I was good or needed any help and just let me search through boxes. And then boom. Found a record I've been searching a long time for. Owners got some good info and knowledge. No discrimination on any type of music. Will be back for sure.

scoring some killer sweet soul at Noriegas

Hours on the door say they open at 11, they were not open. Don't bother going unless you call ahead I guess.

They get new records here as well as having a large selection of older/used records. There's also a clearance section that's fun to go through. The owner here is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I also love that there are a few listening stations if you want to spin some of the used records here. Oh, and they also participate in Record Store Day and ask for requests if you want any of the releases published on the site. Also, note that they aren't kidding with the name. It literally is a single large record room. And I got a little confused when I first came here - I got to the spot Waze brought me to based on the address and the building looks like a large government building / library in the artsy area of Riverside. So I thought I misunderstood when I found this place on Google maps and thought it was an actual building that contained official records. That is until I saw the sign on the corner pointing towards the shop. I followed the sign until I saw another sign leading me down some stairs into the entrance of this record room/ shop. I was immediately wowed right when I walked in. Just a really cool store. Plenty of street parking nearby.

Got to the front of the line and asked very politely and calmly "do you have any Pokémon cards?" I was on a time crunch and trying to get a birthday present for my nephew before meeting them for dinner. The cashiers response was "I have to let the line die down before I can even check." I was very confused by this statement because as a customer myself, I waited in a line to even ask the question. There were other cards behind her, and I was confused as to why she couldn't turn around or look down. But I said okay no problem. I stepped off to the side and watched her help three people. People were still filing in and I had no problem. Then a woman who looked like a manager walked behind the cash register to break change, she asked the cashier what I was doing. They then started to whisper but I could hear the word "Pokémon" very clearly. The manager out loud goes oh no. Don't open the box. We don't open boxes until the weekend or Monday nights and then they both just stared at me. Feeling extremely uncomfortable and choosing to take the higher road (also on a time crunch) I left. Thanks for nothing :-) I too was a customer who waited in a line and will not support this business. I can't feel bad for brick and mortar book stores that end up closing due to choosing to lose business.

I love thrift shopping because you never know what you can find…read more With this being said I went here tonight not knowing what we would find. We had been looking for a lab coat for a long time. Out of nowhere tonight we came across one for about six dollars. It was in perfect condition. This Savers carry's a little bit of everything from books, movies, electronics, kitchen equipment, home goods, clothes for everyone and toys. They also have a section with higher priced items that are locked up. The employees are not very personable but they do their job. All in all it is great place to possibly find some great stuff. It can be a little sketchy outside with the amount of homeless people that hang around the area. But from what I've seen they seem not to bother people too much. Just be aware of your surroundings.

All thrift stores are getting out of control, but savers is the worst of them. It's so close to me…read morethat I still go from time to time just to see if I can find something good, but I definitely won't be going back. Over and over I find things from the dollar tree that they're selling for 3.29 or even close to $4. If the item has new tags, they jack up the price for more than what it's worth. I hope they know how much money they're losing for refusing to price their items fairly. There's so many things that I would've bought and I didn't because they were overpriced. Don't donate to this location. They are a for profit corporation that spends no money on inventory and sells it for more than it's worth brand new. At this point, I won't go back there to shop, but I will go back to take pictures and let everyone know to not waste their money at this store. Ps. With the outrageous prices the thrift stores charged nowadays, you're better off going to an antique store. They have more curated pieces, vintage and durable stuff and most of it is in working condition or undamaged. I find myself going to antique stores more and more. Comparing to the prices that thrifts used to charge back in the day, I would say antique stores are slightly more expensive. But, the way the pricing is now, you would probably find much better pieces than the trash savers sells for equal pricing.

Savers - Almost $10 for this dress. For a dress in good condition it could make sense, this dress won't survive a wash.
