Who would have thought this gem was in Old Town Tustin? It's funny because with their name "Rasta Cowboy", you just figure the owner should have dreadlocks (which he doesn't). The store reminds me of the great old used and new record stores of the old days (anyone remember Music Market in Costa Mesa)? Eclectic but excellent selection of items. The owner, Tom, has a good knack for bringing in albums you would want to buy yourself. The prices are very fair - some downright cheap. By the way, he does buy old albums in good condition. Bring them in and he'll let you know what he would like to buy and give you immediate payment. We were able to sell off a large number of 70s and 80s music for a fair price.

such an awesome record store!! i always find great used records for decent prices i was so excited to find this get back rooftop album still had its sleeve and poster!! a let it be album also still had its poster! all always in good condition. stickers are fun too :) the owner is real nice every time i come in (i always buy something LOL). bookshelf has an awesome used selection too!

I bought all this for $25, yay! T shirt $10 The Beatles- Yesterday and Today $10 Michael Jackson- Man In The Mirror $5

I got off early at noon today so I FINALLY had a chance to stop in! I am thrilled that they finally opened a record store in Old Town Tustin, it's finally looking modern. Tom is very friendly, we already talked before he opened the store about music and my record collection which I will sell soon, just give me time to look through my storage! Loved this place, quiet and easy to go through the aisles. I bought: Michael Jackson- Man In The Mirror 45 rpm single $5 The Beatles- Yesterday and Today LP album $10 and logo shirt for $10

Spinning the beautifully haunting vocals of Patsy Cline.

My teenagers favorite record shop. They don't always have the new stuff or albums, but sometimes you'll find good finds.

Ask the Community - Rasta Cowboy Records

    Is there cd players here?

I did not see any when we were there last. Used CDs, but no players. Best bet would be to look online, maybe Amazon or thrifting if looking for a CD player. Good luck!!!

Do you guys have Taylor Swift cds? if so, which ones and how much?

Hi, all of our CD's are $5.00, but we do not have any Taylor Swift at the moment.

    Is this place vinyl only?

Vinyl, CD, Cassettes, books, music DVD's.

I found a rare Orson Wells vinyl that I was dying to hear and Tom played it for me without question.

Hubby and I were in the area to purposely look for antique places to shop at. We did browse…read morethrough a few others in the area, but Grant's was definitely the catch of the day for us. It's located in a small-ish shopping center; probably around a dozen total shops in this small area. Close to the main streets. When you walk in, it's not that big of a shop, so you full see how every place is filled from floor to ceiling with lots of knicks and knacks. It was great :) There were some things that weren't for sale (namely, items in the window), but everything else seemed to be. Saw some great small and big pieces of furniture, glassware, ceramics, international items, jewelry, gems, beer steins....there were just a lot of different things to look at. The merchandise that caught my eye were some of the pocket watches he had that were NOT quartz, and they were working! Totally cool. The owner was also cool enough to show how he figures out what items are actually made of silver, and which ones are steel, so that was a cool demo :) Overall, will probably come by again. He definitely has a few gems. The only unfortunate thing is that it can be a pretty small shop, so there's only so many people that can be at the store at a given time. But, Grant was cool..and the AC was on! :P

It's Sunday and you're in Tustin. You're looking for something unique, something antique and…read moresomething no one else has. In Jamestown Square, Gerda's Antique's is open. Gerda's Antique's has been in the same location for over 30 years. She is a staunch german lady who will tell you exactly what she means and won't give you the hard sell. She has an ever-changing array of items from china cabinets, desks, tables, glassware, paintings (look up!), vintage clothing at times costume jewelry, and quirky things like reel to reel tapes, brass and wooden object de art. I once found a beautiful inlayed 3 legged table from Iran there and I wish I had bought it then because the next time I came by, it was gone. I personally have a soft spot in my heart for Gerda because she was my neighbor for 7 years when I first moved to Tustin. She will tell you what you need to know with no fluff, guaranteed. And you have to believe that with being in the antique's business for over 30 years, she knows what she's talking about. As a side note: as you drive into Jamestown Square, you may happen to notice the little white chapel in the parking lot. You can rent that from Gerda as well. UPDATE: 01/31/2008 After thirty someodd years, Gerda's Antiques as we know it in the Jamestown Center is going out of business. She will be moving some of the nicer pieces left into a shop off of Orange Circle.
