I'm on the hunt for a unique cookie jar to add to my kitchen so I pop into Orange Circle Antique Mall when I'm in that area to see if I finally find THE ONE. No such luck yet, but this antique mall is always so fun to browse. There's anything and everything you can think of from tableware, kitchen items, chairs, clothing, records, VHS, books, movies, posters, magazines, games, toys, tools, you name it. If you're patient enough, you'll find something. There are two stories, so you can easily spend a lot of time here. Went on a Saturday afternoon and this place is so cool! This giant, multi-level space is organized into different, numbered stalls that vendors rent, with each vendor determining their own prices. Some stalls were awesome, but some were unnecessarily expensive (in my opinion). My brother saw something from the Dollar Tree there (that he'd just purchased a few months ago) priced at $6... and that's a very small-scale example of the marked up prices for items that do not deserve it. I eventually purchased myself a wacky pair of boxer shorts at a reasonable price ($12) and every single one of the staff members at check-out were so kind, attentive, and helpful. There were also a few staff members attending to folks on the floor, constantly checking in with people; they were all so personable and friendly. I really appreciated it! Overall, this is a great place to peruse and travel back in time, but you may leave sooner than you'd like due to sticker shock! read more

The kind of place you could spend an entire afternoon without realizing it. There's just so much to look at here. It is a bit intimidating, I think it's probably one of those places that is much easier to navigate when you know exactly what you're looking for. I was just on the lookout for vintage Disney and there is a LOT of that here, from plushies and figurines to cool prints and VHS movies. The selection is excellent. I haven't actually made a purchase here yet so not sure if there's room for negotiating. It's a lot of individually rented stalls so I can't stay much for the "service" but I think you can probably get assistance from the folks at the front if you need it (but this place is such a maze it can be hard to find your way back there)! read more

Overwhelming amount of stuff here. One gigantic thrift store. Two stories and filled to the brim. Seemed to be separate stalls designated by number. No rhyme or reason for anything. Very cramped and dusty smelling. Super claustrophobic and crowded. No body around to say anything to you other than signs. You might find a treasure here if you had the patience to sift through what feels like a hoard of things. Probably wouldn't come here again. Worth one walk through if you're thrifting in the area. Bought a little Skylander figure for $20 on Sunday around 3 o'clock during the street fair. Did it notice till I got home that part of it was broken and one of the parts moved. I went back and asked if there was anything they could do. The two ladies at the front were really unhelpful The one lady was a little bit nice, but they just were extremely unhelpful and almost came off as greedy. They didn't offer to do an exchange if there was another one or a discount or anything and just said that all sales were final. They wouldn't even let me speak to the manager. I won't be buying from them again anytime soon. Also, in case they see this, I'll be disputing the charge, so I'll just get it for free anyways. read more

Went thrift shopping and absolutely fell in love with this place! They have everything--you could easily spend hours just exploring. I especially loved the old-school Disney books and all the little nostalgic details you don't see often anymore. That being said, for a thrift store, the prices are definitely on the higher side. It's a fantastic spot to browse and soak in all the vintage finds, but I'd probably only buy one special item rather than go on a shopping spree. Still, it's a must-stop if you're in town! i've been here around 3 times and i enjoyed it.. BUT i recently came with a friend and it felt like he was racially profiled. the 2 times prior to this i never felt followed or had my things taken to the front (handfuls).. this time i only had 1 thing in my hands but a lady came up and took it out of my hands before i could process what she asked me (if she could take it up front).. i've been to many antique stores and i've seen workers act so strange.. we continued to see her 4-5 times after this (wasn't 100% sure if she was following or not but we saw her too many times to feel like it wasn't the case) i got so uncomfortable so soon after that we paid and left. as much as i loved the huge selection and surrounding areas, i probably won't be returning due to racist workers! read more

Unfortunately, during our visit today we had a rude experience with the cashier, Norma, who was also acting as the manager when we asked to speak to one. On the positive side, Hailey was very kind and friendly, which we appreciated. Wow, I can't believe I have never been here. It is huge. Two floors of antique heaven. They have clothes, kitchenware, magazines, and many other vintage finds. On top floor, you will find items such as kitchenware, clothes, shoes, and tchotchkes. I found some cool Santa one's that would be great for Christmas. They also have a collection of records that were a little on the higher price, but definitely good finds. If you walk downstairs, they have lots of clothes and shoes. I found a couple dresses, jackets, and shoes that I want to go back for. The clothes are scattered throughout the store, so make sure you look around. If you are a Disney fanatic, they have lots of cool stuff there that you may enjoy. They also have a good selection of beanie babies, if you are a fan of those. Keep an eye out on signage, some items are marked down or have a sale so that's a plus. Overall, pretty cool store that you can get lost in. By far the best antique store I've been to in ages. It brought back so many ancient memories for me and made me feel a range of mixed emotions in a nostalgic way. I love it here and couldn't wait to come back and shop here today when I visited old town Orange. I bought some clove gum and a vintage magazine from 1976. I was taking Snapchats of all the cool retro merchandise! They have everything from baseball cards to bobble heads to Playboy and Mad magazines. Depending on what you are looking for, this is a solid 6 or a depressing one star experience. I went in with the intent of finding anything vintage hockey related; hoping for metal signs, decor, old sticks, etc. I found some old cards in one of the sports cases but nothing else. While there, the people watching was definitely 5 stars. Older folks looking for knick knacks, millennials looking for vintage clothing, teens and younger kids playing and running around (yikes!) as their parents shopped. There is a LOT of random junk that I don't honestly feel is anyone's treasure but there are some items I can see being a one of a kind gem. With 2 floors packed to the gills, take your time and you might find something that'll bring you joy. We headed to OC to check out this special neighborhood filled with vintage stores, recommended by a friend as he knew our love for thrifting. We headed into Orange Circle and there were two floors of some of the neatest knick knacks and collector finds - from vintage playboy magazines, Disney memorabilia, ceramic dishes, paintings/prints, furniture and pottery, to clothing, they had it all. Plenty of free street parking available around the center, the neighborhood itself is lively & super clean (seemed like it was busiest during the day with lots of families out and about). The shops closed by 5 or 6p so definitely research before heading out there. read more

It's two stories, and you can find nearly anything you are looking for: Clothes; shoes; jewelry; toys; plates; Knick knacks; etc. It definitely has a lot from the 1970's. They even sell the old school games and candies from the '70's, but there are things from every era. Your eyes are bombarded with color, while you are transported back in time. Me and my friend had a good time looking around, found two items I really loved and bought! For some reason I couldn't get service in specific spots of shop, and couldn't know if item was worth price. I was so excited thinking I got a good item that was worth it's price, and feeling happy. People please look at the tags and the brand, I thought everything in store is antique. Until, I got back home and saw the brand. At that moment I knew I payed more for one of the items than what it's probably worth, I reversed search on the item and actual retailer's resale it for less than of what I bought it and it wasn't vintage how I thought. My friend and I went here after brunch and went in here to look at a few antique items. I've never been here before so I was overwhelmed with how much stuff there was. I went to a particular part of the antique mall and was in awe of the Dragon Ball stuff they had. One of the employees of owners, her name was either Karen (how fitting) or Pam and has short gray hair and about 5 feet tall, and initially went to that area because the booth I was in - belonged to "Steve" and one of the other shop owners was complaining that their TV volume was too loud. Then, this Karen or Pam women repeatedly went up to me, maybe 5 minutes at a time to keep informing me that the cameras were on. Mind you, I came in the store with short shorts and a shirt and a small bag enough to only hold my wallet, phone, and keys. She confronted me two more times before I felt uncomfortable and decided to look at the other smaller shops. When checking out, my friend was rung up by the nice gentleman with the "Nintendo" tattoo on his forearm and a bowling shirt. While he was about to ring me up, the initial woman who kept following me said she would take over the transaction. She asked for my ID for my card while the previous customers weren't asked for one. I confronted her and asked her why she was making me feel like a criminal, with no response to no avail. I asked her how I would even be able to steal anything when you can see 90% of my skin and no response. This place has plenty of cool stuff nonetheless. I found a Dilbert shirt, an old Disney cup that I had when I was younger, and a John Denver record that had "Take Me Home, Country Roads" on it. Orange Circle Antique Mall was the best one I checked out in the area, better layout, merchandise- better displayed, more varied, easier to browse, better customer service. Sure, you can spend a lot of time in here trying to find that hidden gem, hunting for treasures. It does have a lower level with cooler, funkier merchandise. We stopped in last week as we were visiting the area and it looked cool. There is a ton to look at so be prepared to spend some time in there if you can stand it. There is a short, gray -haired boss lady there who is shockingly rude and honestly seems to make the other employees miserable. My son was trying to ask a question at the check out and she couldn't even let him get the question out without saying "next!" I'm giving this place five stars because it's absolutely a fantastic place. The owner is always so nice, there is so much to find and I never feel out of place. I love the booths with the retro sunglasses! So much fun! However, I was there recently and this shorter, elder woman with grey hair was extremely rude to me. She needed to get by, which was fine, however she just shoved her way passed me without saying excuse me or anything. Later I walked passed her again while she was loading a cart to either stock or move stuff and she was shouting at someone in the back employee area rather rudely. Come to find out she's an employee there-- Her name is Karen (I asked someone because I was so put off by this experience) Needless to say, great place. I have been a regular at this antique mall for quite some time but have taken quite a few months off. I'd say right now the selection of vendors in there are right up my alley in terms of my personal taste. I usually leave with something, which makes coming here worth it every time. I've noticed new staff members lately too, and it's cool to see new blood in there. I was hoping there was one employee in particular that had been replaced that I didn't particularly care for in the past but NOPE there she was....KAREN. Grabbed a shirt from a booth marked 25% off and once I got up front the cashier very condescendingly told me, that booth never has a sale so it's not and wanted me to pay full price. When I showed them the sign clearly in the booth showing a sale the tags were a different number and therefore not on sale. Shockingly rude. I am an avid antique and vintage person, having both bought and sold for decades now. This is not how you do business and this is how you lose customers permanently. They are doing their dealers a disservice by acting like this and allowing some dealers to do shady business practices will only see them lose more returning business. I will not be back. read more
