This place is huge. Plenty to look at and purchase for sure. I've gotten to know this place like the back of my hand, upstairs. There's an entire downstairs section, which is a little less organized, crowded, so I'm not quite sure if I've seen it all. When you walk in, the register is to the right. They sell all kinds of things. Whatever you can imagine, old and new, is what they sell: Clothing, jewelry, purses, stuffed animals, houseware, decoration, furniture, paintings, shoes, blankets, etc. I can go on and on. When I was looking for a table scale, I found one and it only cost $10. Because all the stalls are based on consignment, prices depend on what the seller is hoping to fetch on their items. The people who work there are always friendly. The manager and/or owner makes an attempt to greet shoppers and ask if they need any assistance. There's something for everyone here! From vintage toys, clothing, music,, and everything in between! It seems it's a consignment type setup where folk can rent space and fill it with whatever they wish, everything is tagged in such that the correct folk get paid and the show goes smoothly. The value varies by each vendor, some were competitively priced, others not as much, but it's the free market of vintage goods at work - who am I to say what is too much? :) The place is very cool though, and we'll certainly be returning! read more

There are a lot of Antique shops along the street and Antique Depot was the first shop I went in. People were nice and I really enjoyed this place even I just window-shopped. There are lots of vintage/random stuff and branded second-hand bags, watches, jewelry etc. The space is huge and I could only check each stall for a short time but I will definitely come back when visiting old town next time. read more

Pat called the dealer for us as we wanted to make a deal to buy the whole lot, then wrapped all the lights and even found some boxes for us to use to carry them all out. I usually come here alone, and I have a great time browsing and looking around. This time I was accompanied by my boyfriend who is Mexican and has tan skin. The first 15 minutes of us entering the store was fine but immediately after I could feel someone following us. This blonde lady who worked there with crazy eyeliner was constantly behind us just standing a few feet away watching us FOR TEN MINUTES STRAIGHT not even looking at any of the sections we were looking at. She made us incredibly uncomfortable and ruined my experience with bringing my boyfriend somewhere I used to love. The other day at 9:50 am, we parked in the parking lot outside this business. My husband exited the car and this lady who works there accosted us before I could even get out of the car. She yelled "so you guys are coming to Antique Depot???" Husband answers yes... she's unloading things from her Jeep into the store as she's yelling at us. We proceed to exit the parking lot and she again aggressively asks us to confirm that we are going to Antique Depot as she grabs more stuff from her car. She says "okay great! So we'll see you in there! In 10 minutes..." since the store opens at 10 am. Super aggressive and rude but with a fake smile and "happy" tone. What we INTENDED on doing was to get brunch and then go to the store afterwards. I've been going there for years, but after this- NOPE! What we ended up doing was moving the car that I suspect she would have had towed, got brunch and left without stopping by Karen's store. Sucks. I've never been accosted for parking there before and I've always gone into Antique Depot whenever I parked at the adjacent lot. Lost a former lifetime customer. When we returned we walked through the lot and it was full. Wonder if she yelled at all the other people who parked there too... read more

A lot of really cool things and a lot of the workers are nice. There is this older heavy set woman with blue hair she had a nasty attitude. I asked her about price negotiation and how come the prices were not easy to see and she came at me with such horrible attitude. I don't know if she doesn't like her job or what but she raised her voice at me and I told her I'm not looking to cause trouble. My favorite consignment store is gone, so we headed up the street to the antique stores along the circle. Like all the other local antique malls, you've got a giant showroom with small to large partitioned areas full of the collections of the vendors. Each collection is unique. Some are well planned and others look like someone's back bedroom with junk stacked all around. I found some thick, ironed, cotton printed tablecloths circa 1950, seemingly unused, for $125. A treasure. I'm looking for a few pieces of furniture. Only 2-3 large mirrors and just one chest of drawers. No surprise. This isn't the place for furniture. But it's a fun place to rummage. There are framed Elvis paintings, old books with stamps you'll recognize from the local libraries and school districts. Clothes. Toys. Vintage. Lots of memories to relive. If you're looking for tchotchkes from all decades before now, this is your place. read more

Came to the Orange circle to have lunch and saw this antique depot and decided to stop and take a look! Inside is like a mini swap meet with many many little spots divided by shelves. Except there is no one in any of the little "shops". You get what you wanna buy and they ring it up at the counter. Each item has the info of the vendor and the price on it. Each section has its own theme. LOCATION: It's in a busy location near restaurants and other shops. Great place for ppl to stop by after eating or to just hang out. PARKING: It May be a bit hard to find parking if it's during a busy time of day or a weekend. If you drive around there are a few public parking lots and ppl come and go so you'll find a spot. Be patient. PRICES: my friend and I found the prices to be a bit high compared to many other places we've been to. read more

This place used to be a favorite but it's really gone downhill. Firstly they no longer have a public restroom and have no dressing room to try on clothing both of which make shopping uncomfortable and rushed. The last straw for me was my husband and I were cornered in the downstairs by two pushy employees who clearly wanted to intimidate us and make sure we weren't "stealing"(we were not of course and had no large bags or backpacks to suggest otherwise) after being treated like criminals I didn't make a few purchases I was considering because I didn't feel welcome and just wanted to leave. Bottom line they discriminated against me which is sad because I've been a longtime customer. Be warned of the poor service. read more

This is a decent-sized antique mall in Old Towne Orange! Although the Antique Depot may not be as organized as other stores, it's still a nice place to find some unique items. Full of booths of items sold by individual sellers, there's something here for almost everyone. While some booths are clean and tidy, most individual booths sell a wide variety of random items and seem just a bit messy. A shopper really needs to be prepared to spend a lot time looking through all the tables and shelves in each area to find what he or she needs. We thought the staff was nice but not exceptionally friendly. While we found several cases that needed to be opened, there was some reluctance in helping us. We did notice that the employees seem to be much more engaged once they knew how interested we were in the items they were showing us. The Antique Mall is a fun place to shop if you have some quality time to really look around. We didn't get a chance to shop the booths downstairs, but we are planning to put some serious time aside to look at all those booths the next time we're here! read more

My family and I make the trip out to Old Towne Orange from San Diego/LA respectively to go antiquing and this antique mall is always a must stop for us. So many dealers and things to see, we could spend hours here and we have! I find the prices from the dealers to be fair and there are usually a few booths with sales and markdowns. Anyone who thinks otherwise must not shop around enough, I have been to plenty of over priced antique malls and this place isn't one of them. The staff is not only helpful and attentive but also really friendly. Speaking of friendly, this shop is one of our favorites because of its dog friendly policy. Makes shopping more enjoyable and easier for us. I look forward to making my next visit to this place soon. read more

2.25 to 2.5 stars The place is big for your antiquing needs! It looks like each person leases a small section and price it however they want because some had signs that stated 50% off everything in section x. All the beautiful jewelry are by the front window near the entrance. You can tell that some tenants purged old items for sale while others had really unique pieces. Unfortunately I have to give fewer stars because most items are overpriced, but I applaud and wish the store success since so rare these days to see one of these type of shops. I found myself wondering if some of these people are ex-hoarders. read more

purchased things from this place many times for different tv shows. I know from experience they are the same people that own Antique Station 40 ft across the walkway. I have been calling Antique Station all day with no luck to let them know when we would be coming to pick up purchases made last week. Due to this I tried Antique Depot hoping they could tell me if they were closed on Mondays or something that would explain the no answering. The woman who answered said "yes, they are open. Their phones aren't working". I asked politely if she would mind passing on a message. She replied, no I will not pass a message on. I said, you are the same company right? She says, we are owned by the same people. I said, so you wont walk across the walkway and pass a simple message on to them for me? She replies, NO I am busy. I asked for the owners info, so I could contact them and see if they wouldn't mind passing a message onto the other shop for me. She said, the owners are out of town and hung up. read more
