I was meeting a friend for lunch at Zov's and stumbled into the most beautiful store filled to the brim with the most curated collection of the finest items from around the world. There was a man and a woman, whom I think were the proprietors.. They were very friendly, not pushy, and very knowledgeable. They explained everything with great knowledge. I felt like I was on a museum tour. There were so many incredible items for the home, but I purchased a pair of estate diamond earrings that were just exquisite! They were unique and top quality for less than half the price of what they would be in a retail store. I will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

This store is filled to the brim with beautiful art, decor, jewelry and furniture that likely once filled the homes of Orange County elite. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the prices were reasonable. The owner, Suzanne, was lovely to talk to and I wish I had found this place sooner. I am about to move at the end of the summer and I'm not sure how much stuff I can drag out of state with me. Either way, you will find one-of-a-kind items in here.

It's located in a small-ish shopping center; probably around a dozen total shops in this small area. Close to the main streets. When you walk in, it's not that big of a shop, so you full see how every place is filled from floor to ceiling with lots of knicks and knacks. It was great :) There were some things that weren't for sale (namely, items in the window), but everything else seemed to be. Saw some great small and big pieces of furniture, glassware, ceramics, international items, jewelry, gems, beer steins....there were just a lot of different things to look at. The merchandise that caught my eye were some of the pocket watches he had that were NOT quartz, and they were working! Totally cool. The owner was also cool enough to show how he figures out what items are actually made of silver, and which ones are steel, so that was a cool demo :) Overall, will probably come by again. He definitely has a few gems. The only unfortunate thing is that it can be a pretty small shop, so there's only so many people that can be at the store at a given time. But, Grant was cool..and the AC was on! :P

Gerda's Antique's has been in the same location for over 30 years. She is a staunch german lady who will tell you exactly what she means and won't give you the hard sell. She has an ever-changing array of items from china cabinets, desks, tables, glassware, paintings (look up!), vintage clothing at times costume jewelry, and quirky things like reel to reel tapes, brass and wooden object de art. I once found a beautiful inlayed 3 legged table from Iran there and I wish I had bought it then because the next time I came by, it was gone. I personally have a soft spot in my heart for Gerda because she was my neighbor for 7 years when I first moved to Tustin. She will tell you what you need to know with no fluff, guaranteed. And you have to believe that with being in the antique's business for over 30 years, she knows what she's talking about. As a side note: as you drive into Jamestown Square, you may happen to notice the little white chapel in the parking lot. You can rent that from Gerda as well. UPDATE: 01/31/2008 After thirty someodd years, Gerda's Antiques as we know it in the Jamestown Center is going out of business. She will be moving some of the nicer pieces left into a shop off of Orange Circle.

They were easy to work with and extremely quick turnaround time...we even went out to their shop to inspect it before we committed to having them refinish our desk. Their shop was spotless and they had a number of items to inspect and that is what sealed the deal for us is that their shop was spotless and very nice things they were working on. They also came and picked up the desk and delivered it back here as well... this was a risk for us because we had reached out to a handful of companies a couple years ago and looked at their work online and was just not happy with their work. If you are in the market for having some furniture refinished, we strongly recommend Heredia Antiques.

I am beyond satisfied with the workmanship, the turnaround time, and the friendliness of Zeferino Heredia and his staff. I requested that they try to keep the new finish as close as possible to the original finish, and they were able to reproduce it perfectly. All of the dents, dings, scuffing, and scratches are no longer visible, and the worst damage (a large crack on the inside of the one of the doors) is fixed and no longer visible. This piece is ready to go for another lifetime. It was one week from pickup to dropoff, which I found very surprising considering the quality of the work. After I spent some time to look over the piece in detail once it was dropped off, I noticed just how much care was put into the restoration. The finish is completely smooth and uniform, and even the dirty aluminum hardware was cleaned and polished. The work was so well done that it's not obvious that any restoration work was performed, which is exactly what I (and I expect most customers) want for an antique restoration. It's also worth noting that I called another furniture restoration company before Heredia who quoted about double what Heredia charged, including the delivery (pickup and dropoff) charges. I don't think it's possible that the other company could have done a better job than what was done by Heredia. In the attached photos, there are some before and after pics of some of the most significant wear/damage that was repaired. I am now actively looking for more good deals on worn/beat-up mid century pieces so that I can have more work done by Heredia Antiques. I highly recommend them and will work with them again without hesitation.

Coast Vintage Market is a very cool swap meet style flea market with tons of items from yesteryear…read morethat will take you back to another time. It can almost be like a treasure hunt looking for that special item that calls out to you! Even if you aren't looking for something specific, you might find something that is awesome (to you anyway). There is definitely a wide variety of stuff, from vintage clothing, to old car emblems, home decor, old business signs, and toys that, depending on your age, might make you remember the good old days. Prices can be a bit high, and some vendors will haggle, but this isn't really the kind of market where you get an amazing deal. Most people know what they have and know the market for their stuff. Vendors are still friendly though and will chat about what they have. Located in the old Laguna Hills parking lot, it has about 10-12 rows of vendors that are about 50 yards long. Last time we went there was an agua fresca stand but no food vendors. Even though it's in a parking lot, parking can be a challenge so be prepared. Everything is under construction as the mall is closed down and the buildings are empty so people kind of just park wherever. All that said, this can make for a great weekend activity to get out and walk around. Though it is infinitely better in the morning when it is less crowded and cooler outside! Being in a parking lot there is no shade and things heat up quickly in the afternoon. Overall, a solid local experience, especially if you like flea markets.

The parking lot was packed, which made me think we were about to stumble into something amazing. Instead it felt like an entire street of yard sales where everyone brought the stuff nobody wanted anymore... and now they all brought it to the same place. As we walked in, there were noticeably more people leaving empty-handed than people carrying bags. And the few who did buy something looked like they'd adopted a small trinket out of pity. "Vintage," apparently, is just a nicer word for old junk that survived the last garage sale. On the bright side... the dog had a fantastic time.

For example, the Singer I mentioned was about $40 and tea set (which I used as birthday favors) $48 for the four cups and plates. They stock a good mix of apparel/accessories, housewares, and Disney paraphernalia (Orange being, after all, near Anaheim and Disneyland).
