Michael was absolutely amazing to deal with. The timing of my sale didn't match up with his so I went with another company, but not before he came to the house. Got up on a ladder. Looked in the rafters. Went into the attic. He looked at the entire house and gave me his honest opinion on everything. I have zero experience with this type of situation planning an estate sale for a parent that has passed, but I do know an honest business owner when I see one. I highly recommend Michael and SoCal Home Clear Outs. read more

I needed to get rid of everything in a 3-bedroom apartment. They showed up, and did a good job. But didn't move very fast. On the phone I accurately described what was in the apartment. I was given an estimate of 3-4 hours, and expected a price of no more than $800. It came in around $1600. Granted, the estimate was sight unseen. But it was a fairly normal 3-bedroom. With a dining table, king-sized bed (that I disassembled), queen sized couch that folds out into a bed, various dressers and so on. The factor of 2 mismatch was a very unpleasant surprise for me. read more

I recently used SoCal House clear Outs to clear out my mom's one-bedroom apartment after her passing. Danny and Thomas were punctual, professional and did a great job. they cleared everything in three hours and also handled disposal, and Goodwill donations for an additional fee. We have steadily come to love this company since we started following them in early 2025. The organization and prep work, common-sense pricing, good attitudes, and, most of all, their unparalleled service makes them our favorite estate sale company! Also, their integrity ... they all seem to be genuinely really great people. We've not met a single person in the organization who is not great. I highly recommend this company's estate sales. read more

Hot inside the house, but they had some good items. A little bit on the higher side for the first day but overall a good experience.

I would definitely recommend this company for estate sale and clean out! They were always in touch with me with updates on what they were doing and any questions that came up. Michael was very upfront about what to expect both process wise and financially. The estate sale prep staff were very courteous and respectful of the belongings, and the move-out crew left the place clean. read more

I cannot thank Michael and his team enough for their compassion and help during a difficult time, clearing out my parents' home. From the minute I met Michael, I could tell from his stories that he was sincere and honest, something I valued completely for the estate sale of my parents' worldly possessions. I didn't want to put everything in a storage unit and pay thousands of dollars for things I'd never use again. I love his model: they treat your loved one's items with respect, sell everything they can, and then clear out the home. And if you don't know about Prop 19 and the property taxes that kick in after your parents pass, I suggest you learn about it. Michael's company understands exactly why clearing out a home quickly and getting it ready to sell is so important. From the day I hired SoCal Home Clear Outs, the team was on the move. I can't express enough gratitude for Bazo, Molly, Frank, and Bill. My parents were, yes, hoarders. They were of that Depression generation that kept everything, and the team treated their prized possessions with honor and dignity, setting aside anything personal I might have missed. After the sale, Michael was quick to pay out my share. There was a lot of furniture left behind, and instead of just hauling it to a dump, his team made sure it was donated to organizations in need. His cleanup crew was amazing at getting the house cleared out. If you have a loved one who has passed and you're responsible for getting the home ready for sale, and you're at a loss for what to do with all their possessions, please call SoCal Home Clear Outs. Michael's customer service is outstanding, and he always answers the phone. If I could give them 10 stars instead of 5, I would. I cannot thank this company enough and give them the highest rating possible, especially going through the loss of not only my mom, but my childhood home as well. read more

Had an issue pop up that required removal of a small amount of items but large items. Gotten to the point where I could not lift or move them. I gave a call on Tuesday and Michael was wonderful. Had an appointment for Thursday. Crew showered up completely prepared & ready to get the job done. I felt bad that it turned out to be both a hot AND humid day in Southern California. They had everything loaded up in under 30 minutes. Gentlemen were extremely polite and really did make swift work of everything. Price was extremely reasonable for all they had to move. Like I mentioned, just large, bulky items. I will absolutely be using them again. We own small apartments in Buena Park and would really appreciate working with flexible folks who do jobs right. Thank you again for everything. Huge relief having that expensive storage unit gone! A+ Service start to finish. Will absolutely use them again. Very nice people. read more

Michael and his entire team are so kind and helpful. My mother and I have attended some of their estate sales and warehouse sales and the prices are always reasonable and the team is very professional. Michael and his team went above and beyond to help me settle my mother's estate. Not only did they create a lot of buzz for the estate sale, they also cleaned out the whole home. This would have been impossible to do on my own. Michael walked me through what to expect during the process and communicated effectively. He answered all my questions and was consistently available during the process. Highly recommend. read more

I reached out to Michael to see if we had enough leftover in our home to do an estate sale and although we did not, he was very helpful in recommending ways to move out the furniture. He referred me to a nonprofit company to help donate furniture and I was very pleased with his professionalism, kindness and resources. Moving out of our home of 48 years was an insurmountable task until we were recommended to check out the services of SoCal Home Clearouts. Zarela and Micheal were easy to talk to, efficient, and professional in handling our estate sale and the following clear out . Our home was ready for our realtor in less than 2 weeks. We heard about Socal Home Clear Outs by word of mouth, from others in the estate industry (realtor, estate clearance coordinator). It was the third day that my husband and I had been trying on our own to clear my mom's house after her passing. We had already dragged out close to 10 XL black bags of donations and trash...and we were only done with half the walk-in closet. We had prepared ourselves for months of this, but doing it for real was beyond overwhelming. My mom was a hoarder from the start but added dementia from the last few years made for a house that was packed to the gills with a jumble of everything ranging from straight up trash to fairly valuable collectibles & furniture. It was just too much for us, by sheer volume alone and the fact that my mother's house was literally making me so allergic I had to mask every time I was in there. I knew there had to be people out there who could help, and indeed there were! Socal Home Clear Outs, it turned out, was just what we needed: a combination of junk hauling and estate sale management. Micheal came to do the initial assessment and shortly after, his wife Zarela arrived to take marketing photographs for the estate sale while the hard working team (led by the conscientious and detail oriented Gabriel) began clearing out the items headed to landfill. Once the trash was out of the house, they began packing and transporting items for the offsite estate sale. The estate sale itself was staged and run by Zarela, who prepared online marketing and gave us regular reports of how much was selling on what day. Within a couple weeks flat, the house was cleared and ready to be prepared for sale, and the estate sale covered most, if not all, of the cost of the junk removal and transportation of goods offsite (your mileage will vary depending on the items in the house!). Handling the costs and overhead of auctioning/selling/donating hundreds of items ourselves in addition to an unimaginable number of calls to junk haulers would have added up to FAR greater expenses and headaches. It felt incredibly freeing to see an empty home in a matter of days when we thought it would take up to a year! But beyond all this, it was a dream to work with such kind, honest, dedicated folks as Zarela, Micheal, Gabriel and team - who are so utterly devoted to the mission of helping people move through this very challenging phase following an elder's passing. I cannot recommend Socal Home Clear Outs enough to anyone going through the same experience! read more

Two very strong guys showed up and helped me move a bunch of stuff out of and around my garage. They spent just under 3 hours and were able to take a bunch of junk, some things that were going to be donated, and some oil. The company communicated great, the team showed up on time, were amazingly strong (moved some heavy stuff) and were a pleasure to work with. It's not exactly cheap, but I feel we definitely got our money's worth! read more

DO NOT TRUST SOCAL HOME CLEAR OUTS WITH YOURS FAMILY'S ESTATE! I've attended estate sales for decades and have seen many different companies operate, but my recent experience with SoCal Home Clear Outs raised serious red flags. I texted days ahead to request an early appointment for one of their sales. They replied with only one hour's notice--seemingly assuming I wouldn't show. But I did. Once there, it was clear that others had received early appointments days earlier, giving them a distinct advantage. The early shopping window was supposed to be just 10 minutes. I went to look at the jewelry, but was immediately told to move aside for another. I watched that person quickly grab around 30 pieces--many of which clearly contained real gold. She was charged just $5-$6 per item, in line with a posted "costume jewelry" price list. At first, I assumed they didn't recognize the value. But when I brought a few items up--ones I had chosen before being told to move--the staff pulled out a loupe and scale to examine them. I was charged over $100 for one item. Clearly, they knew how to identify and price fine jewelry--and chose not to do so for the earlier buyer. Worse, they could have done this work before the sale began, but intentionally did not. Whether that buyer is just a favorite or possibly acting as a front for someone at SoCal Home Clear Outs, the outcome is the same: the estate owner loses. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you're considering this company for an estate sale. Clients should never have to worry about being taken advantage of during such a difficult time. UPDATE: RESPONSE TO BUSINESS REPLY Thank you for the response. I'd like to clarify a few important points. I was notified of my 7:20 early entry time only on the morning of the sale, while others received their appointment times days in advance. The other buyer was given first access to the jewelry and charged only $5-$6 per piece, based on the posted written price list, without any further inspection. I quietly observed this from a short distance. When I checked out, my items were carefully examined with a loupe and scale and priced significantly higher. The company confirmed this pricing issue--and the facts behind it--in their own response. That is the core issue: inconsistent pricing, unequal treatment, and a lack of transparency--not just for buyers, but for the estate owners who are trusting this company to handle their property fairly. Rather than addressing these concerns directly, the company chose to describe my behavior as "disruptive." I respectfully disagree. I remained calm and quiet, observing the situation from a short distance. If any disruption occurred, it was in response to what I witnessed. It appeared the situation was structured to benefit the estate sale company at the expense of the estate owners. read more

Micheal and his staff at SoCal Home Clear Outs are fantastic! They helped me with an estate sale at my mother's home and the subsequent clean out of the home. I found Micheal to be honest, experienced, kind and patient. This was a difficult transition and Micheal and his team were so caring and uplifting. It made the process a lot easier. They did a wonderful job displaying my mother's items and advertising the estate sale. It was done in a very professional manner. I also appreciate that an effort was made to sell or donate items left over after the estate sale, to avoid having items end up in a land fill. Overall, a great experience working with this SoCal Home Clear Outs. Highly recommend! read more

I sent a text for a sofa removal, and from the beginning they were responsive and professional. The communication was always clear, and the day of the sofa removal they were prompt, helpful, professional and very kind. They were able to give an estimate for a potential future removal. I would definitely use them for home cleanouts. read more

Michael saved my life so to speak. I first called him to rent a dumpster. I explained to him the situation that we were faced with. Our step father passed away and our mother has dementia. My husband, brother, sister in law and I had been working on clearing out my mother and step father's house for a good three months preparing the house for sale. The house had thirty years of stuff in it from two separate households, quite a nightmare! I talked with Michael about several different options, after reviewing them we chose the only option that would relieve the stress we were all feeling. We decided to have Michael and his crew at SoCal Home Clear Outs (714-657-6201) clear out and deep clean the house. Michael and his crew did an excellent job at a great price and within our desired timeline. We had many items in the house that qualified for an estate sale. SoCal Home Clear Outs Organized and efficiently carried out a very successful Estate Sale for us. Our experience with Michael, his wife and crew was exceptional! SoCal Home Clear Outs recycle, donate what they can and dispose of any remaining trash. SoCal Home Clear Outs also provide power washing, window cleaning, estate sales and much more. SoCal Home Clear Outs did an outstanding job in clearing out a hoarder's house. From day one they have provided excellent communication and customer service. I heard from several companies when I submitted a proposal request through Yelp. Michael, the owner was the most professional throughout the process and reached out right away. Due to this, I choose SoCal Home Clear Outs. The team that came out for the clearcut was also very communicative, friendly, helpful and stick to their commitments. They are my go-to business whenever I need a house cleared out. What I also love about SoCal Home Clear Outs is that they distribute the items they collected to donation companies and provide a donation receipt. I am big about giving back to the community and donating to the needy. Knowing that they donate gives me comfort in hiring them. Due to this, I would recommend them to family and friends. read more

We used SoCal Home Clear Outs in fall of 2024. We were very happy with their service. They were friendly and easy to work with.

Micheal was extremely communicative, helpful, and thorough in the proposal process. Their proposal was not the lowest price of all contractors that bid for the job, however, I was most comfortable with Micheal's approach, communication, and clear outline of how he would remove the hot tub. He was the only contractor who personally came out to make sure his proposal was accurate for the job at hand and the price was reasonable for the scope of work. He was able to add us to their schedule within a week, which was huge for us. The team arrived on time, and were incredibly polite and professional. Instead of trying to do a quick hot tub removal, and potentially damage our fencing (it's a tight fit) they took their time cutting it into manageable pieces. They checked in with me before leaving and made sure I was happy with their service. Later that afternoon I received a call from Micheal following up to ensure I was happy with their performance. We've had countless contractors at our home as we've renovated over the last 3 years. Micheal's service definitely stands out and we're so glad we stumbled across his company on Yelp. We will definitely use them again should we need any additional service at our home. read more

These guys are really incredible!! We had a huge project for them and they were able to get it in their schedule and get it done in incredible time. Really really incredible. They were so on top of it, great at communicating, and did an incredibly excellent job. I would definitely use them again. read more

THEY GAVE ME MY ROOM BACK. During COVID stay at home order years, I hit rock bottom with my mental health. I have autism, and for those years I became obssessed with trying to make my room into a comfortable space to do everything (school, work, personal) that I ultimately lost it and it became a horirble and cluttered mess for over two years. I've been slowly getting my life back from those years and finally getting the courage to reach out for help, I'm so happy and blessed that I was paired with Michael to work with. Michael paired me with Brenda and together, with her amazing help, she and I finished my room! Brenda is SO AMAZING. She works super duper fast and she also helped me rearrange my room in a more practical way and was giving me lots and lots of tips along the way. Honestly, I would not in a million years have been able to do this by myself, I am so thankful to have had her help me. I also ended up donating so many clothes, shoes, and items which she took and she did all the donating for me too! She also helped me pack things up of my small business to take to their new location and that was so amazing and took such a load off!! Michael expressed to me his personal philosophy which is that he ultimately wants to help others and make the help available to them regardless of what they're going through and that's exactly what he did for me. I was a ball of anxiety the days before the clean-up and I was afraid of becoming overwhelmed/shut-down the day of but I was constantly met with reassurance by Michael and also working with Brenda just made the clean-up a breeze for me, I honestly couldn't believe how well I was working. We were cleaning out my mom's house getting it ready to sell. There was a ton of stuff that needed to go. We gave away and donated a lot, but in end we still had quite a bit of trash, wood, furniture, odds and ends, and we were running out of time and energy. Mike came out and gave us a reasonable quote.
