I was given an estimate of 3-4 hours, and expected a price of no more than $800. It came in around $1600. Granted, the estimate was sight unseen. But it was a fairly normal 3-bedroom. With a dining table, king-sized bed (that I disassembled), queen sized couch that folds out into a bed, various dressers and so on. The factor of 2 mismatch was a very unpleasant surprise for me.

Believe you me, most estate sales folks fall into the latter group and those that SEEM to put up the most high end of events with lines and sign up lists and all that? They tend to be the very worst thieves of all! So why am I starting with all this so early in my review of BLAST ESTATE SALES? Well because they are the crème de la crème, nicest of the nice, and the most honest resellers in the game. Hands down! This small company consists of a married couple, "Nikki & Jeff," who work tirelessly and compliment one another perfectly! I've been to a dozen or so estate sales run by the lovely Nikki and her partner in life as well as business, Jeff, and those sales? Are indeed "a blast!" They truly are fun, with refreshments and cookies at the last one I attended. Each sale I've been to was well prepared by these two for a smooth and fun sale day that seems to garner good money and sales for the client while moving cherished items on to new owners, all of which were leaving with their purchases and a big smile. It's rare to find an estate sales company that understands the delicate and all important RELATIONSHIP between buyer and seller and Nikki and Jeff do right by all parties involved. They leak the address early to their friends and you will see the same names at the top of every list. They eliminate fair competition that every other company in the area abides by. They also then give out rules that only certain customers have to follow. At their last sale I was told we had to wait in a single file line to be able to access items at a valuables table. I was waiting and a guy 2 people behind me got to skip the line and purchase all the items I was interested in. When I brought this up with the owner she just said "it's fine". I'm guessing she knew this person so was totally cool with him breaking the rules she had put in place and emphasized multiple times before the sale opened that we needed to abide by. Again, I would consider another company if you are looking to have an estate handled. If they are bending and breaking their own rules when interacting with customers, who knows what other unethical things they will do with your loved ones property and the money you are owed behind the scenes.
