There is always a great selection for me and my kids, my kids love browsing and they've found some really fun stuff too. From a seller end, I've done well and am super happy about the sales I've received through my closet space. This stuff would be sitting at home otherwise. I feel the seller fees are super reasonable and it's all really organized and such an easy system to get started selling. I reserve 3-4 weeks at at a time because what might not sell 1 week may sell another week so imo, it's really worth it just to try it for a few weeks! $35 is low risk to just try it out. Especially love that their website says if you don't make the $35 fee in sales, they'll cover it. "We believe in the model, and we're invested in making it work for you." That is a business model I can get behind!

My sister and I each rented a closet for one week to try out the concept. We had one closet…read morededicated to men's clothing and shoes, and another with women's clothing, hats, and shoes. Reserving the closets online was easy. $35 per closet rental seemed ok plus paying out 1/3 seemed fair. Set up would have been easier if we received the tags beforehand but we didn't want to pay extra for that so it did take us the full 2 hours to set up and tag the day of. We think the overall concept is a great idea, and we appreciate having a different way to buy and sell items locally. However, our experience as sellers was not successful financially. At the end of the week, with both closets, we only made back the cost of renting each closet and earned about $8 profit each. As shoppers, we also noticed that many of the closets felt very overcrowded. While there are certainly treasures to be found, shoppers need to dedicate a lot of time to browse because many closets are packed full of items, making it difficult to quickly find what they are interested in. One suggestion we have would be to create designated sections or marked areas for specific categories, such as men's clothing and accessories, women's clothing and accessories, children's items, and miscellaneous household goods. Another idea could be to designate certain weeks for specific categories. We believe this would make shopping more organized and help customers find the types of items they are most interested in more efficiently. We are glad we gave it a try, especially since it is a newer concept. While this selling format did not work for my sister and me, it may be a great fit for others. We wish Good Society continued success and hope our suggestions are helpful as the business grows.

This place packed a whole antique market, thrift shop, and curio cabinet into one unit. I do not know whether to attempt to describe the few vintage things this store does not stock or the complete horde of objects that it does. The answer to the question of where one would put everything if they had it is definitely Above Face Oddities. The owner, Melanie, worked wonders with this storefront. Were there crates of records? Yes. Were there racks and racks of band shirts. Oui. What about dope patches and pins. Si. Lunch boxes with chill art on them.? Why not. This does not have original art by lady artists? Turns out it does. But with all that inventory, I doubt Above Face sells Halloween costumes, right? Wrong. This store belongs in the sequel to Ghost World. The kind of store Enid and Rebecca would have opened once they completely quit caring about what anyone else thinks. I could see Ripley's Believe It or Not buying this place out. One could pass most, if not all, of a day just mulling over the sheer merch here. There was even a can of Manic Mallow from The Simpsons. Where else would it be? I could on and on about the jeans, the hats, the pins, the belts, the jewelry, the art, the posters, the make-up, the wigs, the risque framed cartoons, but I will leave some of it up to the imagination. Stay in your lane, normcore folk. This store is for the odd.

Their website has an outline of what they accept and how you should donate, so I'd recommend checking that out prior. The staff here were all so friendly and made it very easy for me to drop my donations. Most importantly, I love their mission and really feel like my donations are going to a good cause vs. some of the other big box donation centers. I'd encourage everyone to consider donating here!

It's organized really well and has a lot of different sections! The money you spend goes to supporting a great cause, so might as well stop in and buy some great stuff while also supporting others :) Everyone I have encountered working at the store has been soooo kind and helpful. We love shopping at the MHA Thrift Store. They have a ton of DVDs, CDs and puzzles, overflowing…read morethe shelves so much that some are kept in boxes on the floor. Of course they also have the typical thrift store selection of books, toys, household & kitchen items, and clothes. The store entrance faces the rear parking lot behind the building, a bit hard to find on first visit. GPS maps really help here. Look for the MHA cardboard sign inside the corner display window to identify the correct driveway into the parking lot. The atmosphere is rather quiet inside, with very few customers usually, and they don't play music on speakers. It may feel eerie at first, but should become meditative over time. With patience and perseverance, surprising treasures can be found here. Our proudest score is a nearly mint condition original boxed set of Nat King Cole collection vinyl LP albums. Every time we listen to them, we thank whoever had the kind heart to donate them, and thank the store for giving us the opportunity to acquire them. Naturally, we donate to the store as well. We hope our own parted treasures find their way to good homes. Unfortunately, the last 3 times we tried to visit the store, it was closed during normal hours. We suspect the problem is with staffing. We have always only seen one super nice and friendly lady at the counter, so maybe they have a shortage of volunteers to keep the doors open. We really hope the situation will improve soon, because this has been such a wonderful place.

The strength of this thrift store is definitely in clothing. There is no furniture. They have very little artwork. The store is tricky to find it's located behind the mental health clinic. But don't sweat it, they have plenty of parking. The proceeds of the store support the clinic which is a great cause.
