I've been a loyal Target customer for over 20 years, but my recent experience at the Irvine location was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I went to purchase a Breville coffee machine (BES870) that was clearly marked on sale for $319.99. I even have a photo showing the price. However, when I got to the register, it rang up as $550. I went to guest services, where Angie assisted me. Instead of helping, she accused me of placing the sale sticker myself and said they couldn't honor the price because it was "labeled incorrectly." Her tone was rude and dismissive, and she refused to offer any compromise--not even a partial discount. Target is known for its customer service, but there is no customer service at this Irvine location. I was shocked to be treated like a liar after two decades as a loyal customer. I did not place that sticker, and I welcome a camera review to confirm that. I expected better service and fairness. Very disappointed. read more

Pickup review My mom needed some extra xmas lights for the tree and they were sold out everywhere in the area except at this Target. So I placed a pickup order to reserve them before they sold out here too. There's no drive up option, so you go to the customer service area for pick up. They do not have two lines for pick up or customer service so the line was VERY long. I felt bad for the employees, they were doing their best. Once I finally got to the front, the employee walks you to another area by the entrance where you wait to get your order walked out to you. It's not a great system. Still, glad I could get my mom what she needed and the staff were all very kind. read more

I went here around 8:30pm on a Thursday night. Even with holiday shoppers, parking was pretty good. As with all Target locations it can be difficult to find an employee for assistance, but when you do find one they are sure to be extra helpful and super friendly. If they can't answer your question they will find someone who will. The store (including bathrooms) is very clean and well maintained. And well stocked! Everything is always in its place so it's easy to find what you're looking for. Nothing but positive things to say about this location! read more

3.5-4 stars I was in Irvine today and needed to do a quick Target run for a few items. This location brought back a lot of memories for me as I used to frequent this location when I was in college (ions ago). Since I stopped by early in the morning, there were plenty of parking spots in front of the store. Also being that it was so early in the morning, there were plenty of workers restocking shelves. There was one particular worker who was constantly walking back and forth for in-store pick-up, they were bus-yyyyy! Since I have not frequented this location in awhile, I was thankful to use the app to find items that I needed. Yes, most Target locations have just about the same layout, but this location was just a tad different than the locations that I frequent. With the help of the Target app, I was able to locate everything I needed, easy peasy. The restroom was clean, especially as it was being cleaned when I had entered the store. The restroom was ready for use after my self-checkout. There were plenty of self-checkout registers open, but I do not recall a regular register being open. The Starbucks was not open yet though, which I was surprised since I had thought that open the same time as the Target store. read more

One stop shopping! Needed Christmas decorations, stocking stuffers, groceries and an outfit. They had everything I wanted and more, LOL. Plenty of free parking. Store is bright, clean, stocked well with plenty of room to maneuver. Help is easily found and the store is reasonably priced. read more

This is the biggest Target in Orange County. They've had an entire aisle before for just seasonings, and that's both sides of the aisle! It's so easy to find what you're looking for too. You can ask any employees, or you can type in the item in the search bar of the Target app. It will locate the store you're at, and show what aisle and section it's in. I was looking for a bamboo toilet paper option, and was so glad that there was one! I had tried this type of paper before at an all natural grocery store, but I did not get it again. This one by Reel though was great! Just as soft as regular toilet paper, and 3-ply. It also uses no plastic, does not take part in deforestation, has no dyes, and was not produced with any harsh or toxic chemicals, which a lot of other brands do. And it's only about .40 cents more per roll than the others. That's totally worth it for my health, and the environment! read more

Stopped by this Target to grab a vase, and honestly, it was a search to find one! Selectionwise, it doesn't feel like there's a whole lot when it comes to home goods. I spent maybe 30 minutes look around and only found about 4-5 different types of vases that were either really gigantic, or were small house plant sizes. The store itself is pretty clean large. They offer a handful of self check outs, and never really seems to have a long line. Besides the whole vase thing, they do offer a wide selection of items ranging from clothes, foods, medicine, games, electronics, etc. I feel like I prefer this one over the one at The District since it does feel calmer here, and getting to this Target is easier than driving through The District. read more

Spend about 20 minutes browsing clothes to find out their fitting rooms close at 7pm?? It was 7:04 when I was informed. Four. Minutes. Past. Seven. If I hadn't taken the extra time to look at something else I could've made it and never written this but oh well, here goes! I find this new "policy" absolutely ridiculous, as I worked in retail for 6 years and never once closed a fitting room no matter how busy it got or how many go-backs we had. You just had to work harder or push it to the next day. I have no idea who thought it was a good idea to close fitting rooms 3 hours before the store closes. It's incredibly inconvenient for people who work until 6pm, drive over, shop, and then can't try anything on. At the very least, someone could have made an announcement or something like they do before you close the store. Anyways, just a heads up if you're rushing in the morning or lingering in the evening. This specific Target cannot receive enough distain. They have everything except what you need. This place makes the smallest shopping trip an absolute pain. But my most recent visit truly amazed me. We stopped in this location for a couple items, including a Similac formula for premature infants. We had received a coupon from the Similac manufacturer in the mail that specified it was available for use at any retailer that sells Similac. As someone with legal training, I know the significance of such language on a coupon. We presented the coupon to the cashier, who brought over a manager/customer service to help with it. Neither of these two individuals actually tried scanning the coupon. Without even looking at the manufacturer coupon, the customer service manager said something to the effect of it being "against Target policy", but she couldn't articulate what this policy was. Once again, Similac would not print "any retailer that sells Similac" if they truly did not intend that. Ultimately, she didn't even try it. However, we went back a couple minutes later to a different cashier, who actually did attempt to scan the coupon and it worked. The coupon was valid there after all. I found it pretty abhorrent that the manager was set on splitting hairs and refusing to scan a valid manufacturer coupon on PREMATURE BABY FORMULA. BABY FORMULA. Not even attempting to scan a coupon for its intended use for $45 baby formula is disgusting work. These people are either lazy or don't know how to read. read more

Worst lane management I have ever seen. Consistently terrible service when checking out. They open one lane that is directly next to the self checkout. So this causes chaos because people get confused to which line they are actually in. This chaos leaves people who have no business in self checkout trying to navigate the system, which requires help from the checker on the only line open. They refuse to open any new lines until there is like 50 people in line. Unfortunately, this has been going on for far too long. The manager is either inept or they do this on purpose, she comes running in all frantic when the line is very long. But this happens literally everyday and it's like they have instant amnesia because it will happen again in 20 minutes. Note to corporate: overhaul the whole staff, it's a waste of time trying to go here unless you have an hour to spare waiting in line. Take note from other targets like the Tustin one at the district that have a clear and defined self checkout lines, it's literally blocked off from the other registers, like almost every other target. This would solve your line problem instantly. Also the Starbucks closes randomly and seemingly whenever they want. Some days it's 7, sometimes it's 6, sometimes it's 8, you get the picture. It's like rolling the dice to see if they are miraculously open. read more

Catherine went out of her way to help me find multiple items which also included multiple trips to the backstock room to check on inventory. She was very patient & pleasant. LOVE this location! The store is still a Classic Target and the layout is SUPER shopper friendly! Love the seasonal section, of course! The bathrooms are always clean! Lisa L at the front is always so welcoming and helpful even to her coworkers who obviously rely on her and love her. There is a Starbucks here and I felt bad for the lady running it by herself. She needs at least 2 more helpers. The prices are great. They still have a good selection. read more

Fitting rooms do not open until 10. I came in to shop and try clothes on before me preschooler gets out of school. I spend 30 minutes looking at clothes to go to the fitting room and find out it doesn't open until 10!? If the store is open, the fitting rooms should be open. I left everything behind. Worse Target ever. Every single time, I place an order for pickup at this location. It takes more than 2 hours for items to be ready. Tried calling the pickup order, drive up order phone line and to no avail. No one picks up the phone. This isn't the first time I have experienced this. I even did a test to see how quick the Target orders are completed for pickup versus other Target locations, and this location seems to fail every time. Even when I placed an order at this location first before other locations. They seem to still show that the items are still processing after 4 hours. I've tried to come back a few times to maybe see if things are different, but this Target just is awful with their customer service and overall efficiency. The worst bipolar customer service ever. Went to return my Apple Watch and they told me I needed the receipt which took me 45 minutes to get from the Foothill Ranch store. When I get back to the target, the manager in charge now changes the rules and says that she will not accept my apple watch because its past the due date. They knew the due date before they sent me on the wild goose chase to get the receipt. I left my watch at the counter and am now disputing the charge with my credit card company. There's no shopping carts near the mall entrance, which is causing them to lose biz because most people won't walk all the way to the back entrance to get the shopping cart and walk all the way back to the mall entrance where heavy items like bottled water are located. read more

I am a frequent Target shopper. This particular Target location provided a wide selection of merchandise. The service was below average. An older customer needed support operating the mobilized scooter, and not one Target staff stopped to assist the older guest. My eight-year-old son started to support me until another Target customer openly said, "A Target staff needs to help out, not customers." Then I was looking for Carmex and asked staff for assistance since this Target location was not my home store, and literally, both staff I asked looked like a deer in headlights. SHOPPERS BEWARE!!!!! I usually don't like to leave bad reviews but what I saw today (3/12/23) was so disturbing! I went to the pet section to pick up some dog food when I look down to the floor and I see a RAT!! A small black rat zipped down the aisle and under the shelves in the dog food section. I have never seen a rat in a STORE where food is sold!! We were so disgusted we left everything and went elsewhere. I really wish I had been able to snap a picture or video but it happened to fast!
