This location is so nice! Not only that, but the staff is so helpful. Everything was well stocked and if you can't find something, the employees are happy to help! They go the extra mile and bring similar options if need be. Love the variety of color options and good spectrum of sizes they carry. Sizes go up to 18, that I saw. Yay size inclusion! I found a pair of jeans on sale, which I was very happy to purchase. The fitting rooms were pretty decent. There was an attendant in there to open up your fitting room and help you, if needed. I also got a graphic tee which was not on sale. Once home, I checked the AE website and found the graphic tee that I just purchased at retail price on sale for about $10 dollars cheaper. This store has horrible customer service. The first time I went in, the line was very long and only one cashier was working. A second cashier finally came and opened the other register, and seemed very polite and nice. When it came my turn, I walked up smiling as usual and was met with sudden iciness. She stopped smiling and her entire demeanor changed, before I even said a word. There is only one reason I can think of that would completely change a person's attitude when they were nice to other customers, but I don't wanna be "that" person. The second time I went, it was to pick up an online order. The guy that helped me was quick and to the point, and seemed mildly irritated. Two bad experiences here cannot be just coincidence. WOW. Called yesterday (7/14) about a pick up order that expired, just to check if they still had it in store. Luckily, they confirmed the order number/name/item type and it was still there, yay! I asked them if they could hold onto it for one extra day so I could pick it up (7/15), they said no problem! I was a little hesitant going out to a populated area due to the increase in COVID, but I thought, hey I'll get in, grab it and go! Unfortunately, I arrived today only to stand there for 20-30 minutes while they searched the back for my pick up. I told them the situation, and that the girl on the phone said they would definitely hold it for me. They just told me, 'well it expired earlier so we cannot do anything about it and you'll just have to call customer service'. WOW!! Not only did I waste 1.5 hrs of my day (driving/waiting), I was standing there terrified in a public area, which I was hoping to avoid due to COVID using their quick pick up policy! This AE location brought back nostalgia from the days I used to shop at Hollister and felt judged and more like a burden rather than a paying customer. The employees visibly become annoyed if you touch clothes on the tables rather than help you find your size. It seems like the employees hired to work here are simply there to act like robots with no personality. This is not the experience that I have at other American Eagle stores. There is something about this Aerie store that is off. I purchased a swimsuit that was around $50, and when I went on the website later that night I saw it was actually supposed to be on sale for half off. I called and they cannot do a price adjustment over the phone, which really sucks if you live far away. Super dishonest that they won't automatically price match. If you decide to buy anything here, make sure you look it up online. This was all after I had decided that I would give them another chance, because I had come in a few weeks earlier to try on some stuff. I will be bringing my business to American Eagle. I had never been to an American Eagle location before and it went really well. Not only did the the sales representative Franky take the time to go out of her way and introduce herself to me but I was able to tell she genuinely cared to understand as well as help me find the pair of jeans that would be right for me instead of an employee that is just trying to push product which can be annoying. Franky really knew the brand exceptionally well and even when checking out the other team member Stephanie asked if I needed help finding anything. My review is directly for the Store " Aerie." I don't know what it is about this location but it has horrible customer service! I was in line at the counter to return something and literally waited between 5-10 mins before someone finally came to help me. When the young lady finally came to help me, I asked if she could look up my return with my phone number since I didn't have a receipt. She said no she couldn't but was so rude and said anything else? I said yes I would like to return these, and she then said check my email and then I said oh ya that's right I have it in my email, instead of waiting for me to pull up my receipt she said I cant wait I have to help the next customer. The girl was so rude, another helped me and I asked for her name. The girl claims she didn't know her name which I think is a lie, how do you not know your employees names? Upon entering any store, you expect them to "allow" you to shop, right? Why on earth have a clothing store that doesn't allow you to look at the merchandise? I mean, we're talking shorts and t-shirts people! I was directly told by one of their young employees that "we don't like to have to go around and straighten the stacks of clothing that we have already straightened, so just tell me the size you want". This was after picking up one pair of shorts and holding them up to see if my teenage girls even liked the style. I would have walked out, but one of my teenagers took the pair to try on and really liked them. It was hard to pay $60 for a pair of shorts in a store that wants me to shop on their terms. I wasn't making a mess of things...I'm old and I know how to shop while taking into consideration how I find things, especially when presented with organized stacks of clothing, so let me shop! Here's the thing, don't tell your customers you don't like to do your job.
