The store gets packed easily during the holidays, but they still manage to have everything in stock. This is one of the better Hot Topic locations - it's a bit bigger, cleaner, and very well laid out! It's not junky and overwhelming like the others. It's very easy to stand back and see where everything is, and find everything you're looking for. This is definitely my favorite location!

    Hot Top Melanie Martinez merch

What a great time when a fellow Melanie Martinez fan (Miguel/Hot Topic) made us feel like family & enthusiastically showed us MM merch for an upcoming concert.

Love Hot Topic. Their prices, not so much. But I have always love their big selection on gothic, emo, Disney, and music. I also love that they carry so much Supernatural stuff! I have shopped here for YEARS and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I said this about BoxLunch (Hot Topic's sister store, which is more main stream, less gothicy) but I will say it again for HotTopic, shop here on your pay day!

    Harry Potter is still popular!

For all you "conformists" and "Britney and Justin wannabes," Hot Topic is the store where you can explore your "darker" side. Hot Topic attracts "posers" in all shapes and sizes looking to "rebel" against society. Rohlinism: Clothes may make the man, but they won't make you Goth or Emo! Yeah! Hot Topic is a U.S. retail chain which mainly sells alternative culture clothing and accessories. In addition, they sell licensed music and band t-shirts, the latter accounting for 40 percent of the chain's revenue. Hot Topic often is able to get exclusive licensing contracts from companies like Disney, Sanrio, DC Comics, WWE and Nintendo along with several bands, movies and televisions shows. The first store was opened by Orv Madden in 1988 and eight years later the company went public. Hot Topic launched Torrid in 2001, a concept store selling clothing to plus size women. In 2013, Hot Topic was purchased by Sycamore Partners for 600 million dollars. The store ( http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hot-topic-irvine?select=b4DIAJjce7Hhz4BdpDgAhw ) is located in the center of the Irvine Spectrum and it is hard to miss. But seriously, no true Goth is going to be caught dead in any place that sells ( http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hot-topic-irvine?select=i19Mxzd35ZuXh5ByfxcxTg ) this stuff ... Goths don't do Disney! I also didn't realize Harry Potter ( http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hot-topic-irvine?select=5XKVuhI8d5DwGGszNwRCgw ) was still so popular since no major projects have been produced since 2011 (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2). The back of the store has some Gothic like items ( http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hot-topic-irvine?select=LOAU_uAFK-FJ1C3FzfXZRg ), but some of the colors are still too bright and cheery for a true Goth or Emo. And I really don't think you can ever embrace your true dark side ( http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hot-topic-irvine?select=xrVUsWJj8pPUq3zrKOeqPA ) if you are wearing any of these conformist t-shirts! The customer service varies from rather friendly to aloof and most of the workers dress the part. I suspect most of them are just as big of posers as the people that shop there. My kids shop here from time to time, but they sold out to the establishment long ago ... Britney wannabe conformists! Yeah! But there is one group of wannabes I despise more than any other - Vamps! In case you don't know the difference "let me make it abundantly clear -- if you hate life, truly hate the sun, and *need* to smoke and drink coffee, you are Goth. If, however, you like dressing in black 'cause it's fun, enjoy putting on sparkles and following the occult while avoiding things that are bad for you, then you are most likely a douchebag Vampire-wannabee boner. Because anybody who thinks they are actually a vampire is freaking retarded." *Special shout out to Trey, Matt, Michael, Pete, Henrietta and Firkle for the quote above* But I guess with the shout out ... I am becoming a conformist! Yeah! But I really don't care what you posers think! If your local Vampire Society has become too annoying and FedExing their leader to Scottsdale has not disbanded the society, then you only have one choice left: "Burn down down, burn down Hot Topic. Don't let it steal your soul away. Burn down, burn down Hot Topic. Light the fire. Take control. Burn down, burn down Hot Topic. Don't let it take your soul. Burn down, burn down, burn down Hot Topic. And take control. Burn down... Hot Topic. Burn it down... Hot Topic." Written and Preformed by Trey Parker The store has some unique items that you can't find at other stores, but it hardly serves as an outward expression of your soul.

    I don't have a problem.

This location is close to my work, so whenever their website has specials, I do ship-to-store here (free). I've had no problems whatsoever with this store, and will continue to ship my Funko Pops and other cool items here :D Although it may be slightly smaller than other HT stores, they still pack quite a bit of items on the shelves. The Funko Pop shelf is fun to look at. and their merchandise is branching out to include more anime as well. Have gotten Adventure Time items, Sailormoon, Attack on Titan, and Marvel stuff here!

This is the mask that I had been wearing in the store.

The store itself is on the smaller side, and it can feel a bit messy. The shelves and tables aren't very organized, so sometimes it takes a while to go through everything. The biggest issue for me is the customer service. There are a few employees who seem friendly, but most of the time, the staff don't come off as very welcoming or helpful. It can feel a bit uncomfortable, like you're being watched or judged, which makes the whole shopping experience less enjoyable. That being said, the clothing quality is pretty decent, and there are definitely some cute pieces if you take the time to look. I mostly come back because my daughter likes it, otherwise I'd probably just shop online or look for other stores with friendlier service to avoid the in store experience.

Today was my last day to return these items and I was late to my movie for having to wait in line (I live an hour away and work 9-5 so this was the only time I could come). I'm done shopping here. If you're going to have such a short window of time to do a return, then at least be more accommodating to guests trying to make the return. Employee at the front was curly haired, wearing a white maxi skirt and black tank on Friday at 7 pm. Do better.

I stopped in to check things out, and as always, the service was fantastic--just like their other locations. The girls working were incredibly helpful and showed me all the new holiday dresses they just released. What I love most about this brand is that each piece feels truly one-of-a-kind. The quality and craftsmanship are unmatched, and I always look forward to seeing what's new because they never disappoint! On this visit, I was lucky enough to meet the designer, which was such a treat!! She just happened to be stopping by, and was kind enough to take the time out of her night to chat with me and my friends. It was so inspiring hearing her talk about the thought and care that goes into choosing the fabrics and lace details for each design as she creates each piece. She even shared the story behind the dress I ended up buying to go with a cardigan I had just bought (she even showed me photos of the Parisian manor that inspired the collection), and it made the experience feel even more special. This store is a true gem, and I feel so lucky to have it in my shopping rotation. It's not like anything else out there, and I'll definitely keep coming back whenever I need a pick-me-up. The team is always so welcoming and kind, and I always leave feeling inspired and excited about my latest find!

The store and its contents exude feminine energy and offer beautiful, luxurious, ultra-girly circle and ruffled skirts, bustiers and dresses of various lengths and fits. I purchased an outfit for a wedding as well as a birthday party and summer rendezvous. The clothing ranges from about $80 - $100 a piece; aside from the sale section which offers hefty 40% price for equally cute and high-quality items from what I'm assuming is the past season. Unlike most sales racks, you can find treasures of all sizes rather than throwaway items in either XXS or XXL. My favortie piece i purchased was actually from the sale section and was a fitted white skirt with floral details and a pink bow across the waist which was actually flattering, indicative of the high quality KESTAN maintains. I would say the products span an adequately-sized selection. The only caveat is the sizing which runs a bit small in my opinion

Customer service refunded the missing item, but because their system doesn't allow replacements, I was told I would have to place a brand-new order and pay shipping again if I wanted the correct shirt. While the customer service representative was kind and professional throughout the process, the company's policies left me paying for a mistake that wasn't mine. A refund for the missing item doesn't resolve the fact that I still don't have what I originally ordered, and I don't think customers should have to pay additional shipping costs to correct a fulfillment error. I appreciate the representative's professionalism, but Garage's resolution was 450 reward points and no way to receive the correct item without spending more money. That's disappointing for a company of this size. I hope Garage reevaluates its policies so future customers aren't left in the same situation.

Tbh it felt like I was low key getting hate crimed for my gender because I AM A MAN and Garage is solely for females. MIND YOU, I didn't even take a SINGLE STEP inside the fitting room, I was waiting for my bestie outside. Also, KEEP IN MIND, these fitting rooms are exposed like there's no door or barricade that separates the main floor and the fitting rooms. It's entirely exposed and the female sales associate is monitoring it on your left. Also, each fitting room has its own booth and its covered by curtains. Anywho, that's beside the point. MIND YOU, I am just a gay man who was accompanying their female bestie to try on jeans and I was respectfully waiting for her outside. I didn't even take a SINGLE STEP inside, I was waiting for her OUTSIDE but I am near enough. Then, as she came out and she's looking at herself in the mirror and I'm giving her my opinion, I respectfully asked the female sales associate if I can go inside so I can take a proper look at the jeans she's trying on but she ignored me so then I asked again the second time and she still rolled her eyes, didn't acknowledge me and I was ignored. Then, my bestie respectfully asked her if I can step inside as well and that's when she answered and said no. In conclusion, I understand the reason why she said no to me because it's weird for a man to be in a all female fitting room and if it was the other way around, I would've found it weird too but KEEP IN MIND, I work in luxury retail and I know if my bestie and I were at a Nordstrom or a Bloomingdale's or like some luxury boutique, the sales associate wouldn't be as rude as the Garage employee was to me. Though I fully understand the decline of me stepping inside, the sales associate didn't have to have a rude demeanor. Plus, not just her all her other female coworkers didn't have to look at me weird or look me up and down. It's just so unprofessional and not welcoming at all. The only thing I'll shout out is the one female employee who helped my bestie pick the right kind of jeans and to clarify the sizing of their jeans. So, thank you to you. I forgot their name but they were super helpful.
