I've been to this store a few times with my daughter, and she really enjoys coming here because the clothes are cute and trendy. The store itself is on the smaller side, and it can feel a bit messy. The shelves and tables aren't very organized, so sometimes it takes a while to go through everything. The biggest issue for me is the customer service. There are a few employees who seem friendly, but most of the time, the staff don't come off as very welcoming or helpful. It can feel a bit uncomfortable, like you're being watched or judged, which makes the whole shopping experience less enjoyable. That being said, the clothing quality is pretty decent, and there are definitely some cute pieces if you take the time to look. Had to wait in a 30 minute line just to do a return. I explained that I was going to be in and out, just wanted to do a return and they still made me wait in line. Today was my last day to return these items and I was late to my movie for having to wait in line (I live an hour away and work 9-5 so this was the only time I could come). I'm done shopping here. If you're going to have such a short window of time to do a return, then at least be more accommodating to guests trying to make the return. A line for Fast fashion is a humiliation ritual. They can definitely accommodate more people in the store, but have a bouncer outside to let customers in little by little. Bought a shirt that had a hole in it. Found it when I got to finally try it on, and probably would have caught it in store, but they got rid of the changing rooms. Their store is literally marketed towards middle schoolers, have you looked at the models on their website? And Brandy expects not to have gum in their dressing rooms from literal underage kids????? No returns, only exchanges and store credit. I guarantee you they aren't making as much money because why would you buy clothes if you don't know it will look good on you and there's no chance to return them for your money back? It's a gamble. Then they have a queue outside to get into the store. If this brand goes under, I don't think I'd be sad to see it go. On 7/28/26, I had a very disappointing and humiliating experience at this Brandy Melville location with two employees. I stopped in briefly, browsed for a few minutes selecting a few items I liked. I left to get my mom (currently in another store) in order to return and make the purchases. As I exited, I was approached by two employees who accused me of stealing and demanded to inspect my bag. Caught completely off guard, I opened my small crossbody bag and even moved my belongings around at their request so they could see everything inside. One employee leaned over and thoroughly looked in my bag, finding nothing, before both employees simply walked away. I called after them asking for their names, which they refused to provide. My mom and I returned a short time later after I reported to her what happened. We asked another employee the names of the two as I pointed them out. She said that both employees I identified were named Maddie. This was an extremely humiliating and unprofessional experience. Being publicly accused of theft without any justification and treated with such disrespect is unacceptable. read more

I just had one of the most unpleasant retail experiences at Brandy Melville in Irvine Spectrum, and it honestly left me shocked at how blatantly unprofessional the staff were. From the moment we walked in, the attitude was cold and dismissive. The employees were not only uninterested in helping customers, but openly rude--rolling their eyes, whispering to each other, and making it very clear that assisting shoppers was the last thing they wanted to do. At one point, we even overheard them speaking negatively about other customers, which is completely unacceptable in any customer-facing environment. What makes this even more disappointing is that we've been loyal customers of this store for years. We've frequented this location regularly and have spent thousands of dollars here over time. To be treated with such disregard after that level of support is incredibly frustrating and frankly insulting. What stood out the most was the complete lack of basic courtesy. No greeting, no offer to help, no attempt to create a welcoming atmosphere--just an air of arrogance and indifference. It felt less like a store and more like an exclusive club where customers were an inconvenience. We came in ready to spend money, but quickly realized our business was neither valued nor appreciated. And while it's obvious the staff couldn't care less whether people shop there or not, the bare minimum expectation is to at least pretend to care. That standard wasn't even met. I usually shop here once or twice a month but I always need to try the clothes on, obviously some tops don't fit certain chests correctly. I guess the dressing rooms are closed now I had an armful of about 8-10 items before I realized we weren't allowed to try things on anymore I figured I couldn't take off my top but I'd at least try on my sweaters since I was looking to buy a couple cardigans. A worker ran up behind me and rudely told me I'm not allowed to try any jackets on over my clothes ? Yet there was a white woman next to me who did the exact same thing and she wasn't told anything, odd. I had to put all my stuff down and leave how disappointing. Super warm and messy store, but kind employees!! When first walking into Brandy Melville, you will become overwhelmed because it is FILLED. I have only walked in during weekends and holidays, but sometimes it isn't worth it due to the messiness and the body heat from everyone. The racks are not organized, the hangers seem to have cloth falling apart, most of the folded clothes have random clothes thrown on top of them, and the dressing rooms are filled with dust bunnies. I feel like it's definitely due to the busy environment. There's also a free sticker bucket near the cash register so you should for sure get your money's worth with Kewpie stickers, Nashville stickers, and Brandy Melville stickers. I was worried that the employees would be rude since Brandy Melville is known for having rude employees. However, everyone I talked to was kind despite the busyness of the store. The store definitely has a great selection, but I feel if you're looking for certain items, you most likely won't find it. I wanted to see if the store was worth going to so I could avoid the $10 shipping, but I honestly think shopping online is better than coming here. read more

I immediately dropped my items and left. We all know what it's like to be a young girl and have your esteem and confidence ruined by someone. This was one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had. From the second I walked in, the employees made me feel like a criminal just for holding clothes in my hand since a lot of their items (like tanks and underwear) don't even have hangers. I grabbed a few jewelry pieces to see them closer and compare the gold hoops and the entire time I could literally feel one of the workers with red shorts breathing down my neck, staring over my shoulder like I was about to steal (mind you they are literally like 5 bucks each). To make it worse, I was carrying a Barnes & Noble bag with a vinyl I had just bought, and apparently that was enough for every employee in the store to follow me around like a pack of evil mean girls. Not once did anyone offer to help or ask if I needed a fitting room, they just hovered, whispered, and stared at me. It was creepy, humiliating, and beyond unprofessional. Also there's a line to get into the store and they only let in a certain amount of people at a time yet it's still extremely crowded and hard to navigate once you get let in. Fitting room lines are long and the employees don't care about groups of girls cutting to the front of the already long line. Horrible experience. Everyone working here is too young and there is no real adult supervising how this store is run. The dressing rooms were closed because they didn't have enough employees to keep them open. When my daughter tried to try a sweater on over her clothes, she was told that wasn't allowed. After speaking with a manager about it, the dressing rooms were finally opened but the girls who opened them had a terrible attitude. They then asked my daughter and her friend to leave their purses outside while trying on clothes. Purses? They were the mini Coach purses. I have never heard of that before. Shopping bags, yes. Purses, no? And to add insult to injury, two people came in after them and they weren't asked to leave their purses outside. After calling the two young workers out on it, they argued with me about it. I then asked for another manager and low and behold...she was even worse. Her name was Kat and she looked all of about 22 and she told me that I should be happy that we opened the dressing rooms. She would not address the inequity in the policy when it's made up and only told to certain shoppers. She was unbelievably rude. After leaving, I found out from my daughter's friends who were still in the store, that the whole store turned into a high school gossip fest where all of the employees were talking about "the mean mom who asked for the dressing rooms to be open and called out their BS policy about leaving purses outside of the dressing room." They were unprofessional by speaking about it at the dressing rooms, registers and on the floor where my daughter's 8 friends were still shopping. I emailed their corporate customer service the next day to express my disappointment with the store and to suggest they provide better employee training and it's been almost two weeks and no one has responded. Terrible management and lazy workers. Closed down the dressing rooms today because they didn't have enough workers to put the clothes away. They had about 8 girls running the registers and 4 girls in the dressing room. Lots of mothers and daughters leaving frustrated after gathering all their items only to be turned away. How are the girls supposed to know how something looks if they can't try it on? We could see the empty dressing rooms but nobody was allowed in there. I don't think I could be more disgusted with a company. Brandi Melville is not accepting returns with tags on, unworn and purchased within 48 hours. This company feels very much like one of those fake online retailers. Brandi Melville is an example of waste, excess and consumerism in our faces. Shoppers are not permited to try on clothing in any store and are also not allowed to return any items when you realize they don't fit at home. You will receive store credit instead of a proper refund which is theft when the items were recently purchased and no verbal mention of by a store employee when the purchase was made. Unfortunately we roamed the 'at occupant capacity' store, forced to spend our return money knowing we'd be in the same boat once we got home to try them on, only to realize that their one size fits all does not, at all, fit all. We've allowed this craziness and unethical corporation into our children's lives. I look forward to hearing my child and her friends laugh about wasting their time and money at Brandi in the rear view, when Brandi has long been out of business. I was shopping for my daughter who sent me a pic of the shirt she wanted. It is a simple white tshirt. When I went in during a weekday morning, the store was not busy at all. There were probably 5 employees. I went up to one and showed her a pic and asked her if they had the "Hailey shirt" She told me they don't use names like online and I could try to match the sku number. Instead of offering to help, she expected me to go around to every white shirt and try to match the sku. Mind you that this girl is not busy at all. Bought a shirt, took it home, realized there was a hole. I accidentally cut the tags off and they would not return it. It was my fault that I cut the tag off, but the quality of the products are not great for what you pay for. Check every inch of your garment before you take the tags off. As much as I enjoy having a Brandy Melville locally to shop at, the service at this store is not great. On a couple of occasions that I had shopped there, the staff had the fitting rooms closed off and never provided a proper reason as to why they were closed. Some staff said that the fitting rooms could be closed for even "the rest of the day" which I found kind of absurd given it was around 1:00 during one of my visits. Since this store just recently changed their return policy to only exchanges or store credit WITHIN 21 DAYS, I wanted to make sure that the clothes I had chosen would fit me so I wouldn't regret my purchase. I attempted to try on a couple of the items that I picked out over my own clothes, until one of the staff said that it "wasn't allowed here." Sincerely, what else should I have done? Just look at the item that has one size only and immediately know it would fit me? The logic the staff use to run this store is not efficient and I can no longer look forward to shopping here. I LOVE this store so much hands down. They have good clothing on graphic tee or plain simple tee along with cute dresses. They also have hoodies that is one size, but very comfortable & I mostly love their sweatpants a lot there. I usually come for their scrunchies it's only $3. The service was good, but the employees are nice and friendly. The price point depends on which item you get such as clothing, scrunchies, dresses, hoodies, and undergarments. Worst Brandy Melville store I have ever been to sadly. It is understandable for a messy store knowing how busy they get but the workers are something else. if i could leave no stars i would !! this is my most local brandy and typically my go-to, although it's always extremely messy they tend to have a good selection and have never had an issue there up until today... my little cousin is from out of state where there is no brandy near by so she always looks forward coming to visit and going to this brandy as well so i decided to take her and my little sister to shop around. As i let them do their own shopping i went my own way as well and shortly noticed the employees had started to follow them not only that but were whispering to one another a blonde girl in a green cardigan and a ginger haired girls as if it was high school and they weren't at their jobs lol. Having noticed I went up to my younger sister and cousin and as soon as i go up to them they tell me that they felt very uncomfortable these two girls kept following them and pointing at them etc. so I asked to speak to the manager because at the end of the day what is that type of behavior that your employees are giving to consistent customers?? A few things to consider when shopping at Brandy Melville is the overall selection of the store. Brandy is known for targeting on smaller shaped women for their clothing, not making them the most diverse store, although I have noticed that the value of their clothing is very reasonable, aiming for around $14-$32. I've bought a couple pieces from their brand and I have to say they are very high-quality and I enjoy mixing and matching the clothing. Each piece that is made is super soft and I would highly recommend checking out the store. I didn't get the best taste of service there, but from what I can tell the store gives off very casual and comfy clothes that are affordable. read more

It's really a shame because the clothing is actually really cute. I was checking out with my daughter and asked the employee to check and help us find a price on some gold hoops my daughter liked.
