This place has a lot of things that the beauty of our skin care influencer would one to check out if you've ever been in the recent trends of Asian skin care. They don't have a lot of selections compared to shibuyala, but definitely more than Tokyo Central/Mitsuwa. They also carry Asian sunscreens with filters that are not available in the us. Very light and not heavy feeling that you get with us sunscreen that burn your eyes. They do have a bunch of testers so it's nice when you can do that versus hope that a product work if you're buying something internationally online. It seems like the items are a little bit more expensive than online, but I guess it's the cost of doing business and person, labor, and shipping as well. They do have another random section with kitchen items. But I would say if it's a popular item in Asia cup and you'll probably find it here. read more

Visited back at the end of January of this year and bought some items including a box of sheet masks. Have used a few of them and when I was organizing all of my sheet masks I noticed that the expiration for these was for September of 2024. I was sold product that was already expired. read more

The store is much less cluttered than it used to be, and it's very easy to navigate and find exactly what you're looking for. They have a host of Korean and Japanese products, as well as American. They have all the popular brands like CosRX, JM Solutions, PeriPera, Biodance, and more! The lady working there is super sweet and helpful, immediately available for any and all questions or suggestions. She doesn't hover over you or make you feel pressured or uncomfortable. I actually bought way more than I planned to because it was such a great shopping experience. The prices are definitely higher here than most places, but they also have a lot of products here that you can't get anywhere else, including online! An example is Kanebo FreePlus Toner. This is a great and well stocked store with exceptional staff. This is now my go-to place for skincare! read more

I find it so fun to visit and check out the latest Asian beauty releases as it's not very accessible in the states, but they're also the type of products that suit me and my skin best. I asked a local Facebook group if there was any stores that sold authentic kbeauty locally and many of the people recommended Miibox. I called and asked if they had any of the items I was looking for and they confirmed they did, so I stopped in. The women who worked in there were so sweet and helpful. There was a large selection of products and all beautifully disparaged so I got most everything on my list of items to try, and then some extras. It's almost dangerous how close this store is and how often I anticipate returning 100/10 read more

It's cute. Pretty small selection. If you're Irvine local, stop by. But if you're not, I would save the gas and shop elsewhere. The selection is too small to justify a trip. The music was also way too loud and made the ambiance uncomfortable read more

While waiting for our numbers to be called for a BTS cupsleeve event at Sunstudio, my friends and I walked around the plaza and decided to go into Miibox. One of my friends was looking for an eyeliner from a Japanese brand and I wanted to see what was in here. They sell cosmetics, skincare, snacks, health products, accessories, and some apparel from Asian brands. They have a of mix of affordable brands and some higher priced ones like SK-II and The History of. Staff were friendly and offered to help if we needed it. For the most part, they left us to shop on our own. My friend didn't find what she was looking for and we didn't buy anything that day. But it's a good option if you are interested in Asian brands for makeup and skincare. Pricing is comparable to other places I've gone to. Maybe a little more reasonable than some of the K-beauty shops I've gone to. Parking varies depending on the day and time of day you go. Because it's in a plaza with lots of restaurants and dining options, it could be a challenge. My friends and I did find a spot without much issue. read more

Wide variety of products at various price points; its not super comprehensive but it does have a little of everything that you could need. Price point is a little higher than buying online per se, but you do get the advantage of being able to try out tester items which is big. Location is also quite convenient; its in a plaza with many other stores. Lots of good food nearby to try! read more

I love miibox & that it's right next to one of my go-to restaurants so while I'm waiting for food I shop. I usually get the jm solution collagen facemasks there & the sunscreen spray. Every so often I'll try other new face masks they have but they have a lot of variety from Korea so I try a few but enjoy my favorites. I like that when other places are sold out of snail mucin I haven't had trouble finding it here too. One of my go-to spots for skincare for sure. read more

Vegan Reviewer! I stopped by here a few weeks ago. There is sufficient parking, the store is within a plaza. I was super excited to come by this store as I have become really interested in Asian beauty products and skincare! I would say that the store is very clean and bright! I wasn't greeted at all, which isn't important to me but I know it is for some people. I did think it was a bit odd that I wasn't greeted but other girls coming in got greeted and assisted immediately. The store looks very promising, but the products are either really expensive or lack any translation. The "try-on" cosmetics that are left out aren't clean and there aren't any disposable wands or sponges to try out the products in a more sanitary manner. Unfortunately, there aren't many vegan and/or cruelty free products either. I believe I really only located two products that were cruelty-free. I did locate a staff member and she did help me wonderfully with a product, so I think that gives this place a third star at least. I did end up leaving with one cruelty-free product, but came to realize it is so much more affordable from other stores that were in OC. Altogether, it's not too bad but I probably won't make a trip here again. read more

I wandered in while waiting for my order at Thai Spice and wanted to look around at what was available. Everything was well-organized and clean with a variety of different products: facemasks, creams, and cleansers. I was also surprised that they had clothing and accessory storage products also. After a few moments of browsing their store, I was greeted by Chloe who was very nice and offered to help if I had any questions. Since it was daylight savings time, I knew my undereye bags were making me look especially tired this week, and she pointed out an eye cream she recommended. Unfortunately, they were out of stock, but she pumped some product for me to test out and even demonstrated how to effectively apply the cream around my eyes. She also said she was going to reach out when they had the product restocked. Overall, I appreciated getting personalized attention and I felt comfortable asking questions about products I had little experience around. This store is very well organized and located in a pretty nice area with surrounding businesses. Immediately upon entering I was greeted by two women offering help if needed, which I truly appreciate. This store has common and reputable brands, Missha, Cosrx, Anessa, Bioré, Ma:nyo, etc. There were testers out for a good amount of the products which is something I value greatly, especially when considering their return policy. From what I have read, returns are not accepted. I'm unable to verify this myself despite purchasing a product I did not like. I want to spare myself the trouble. Everything here is pretty expensive compared to online retailers and your total will rack up quickly. If this doesn't bother you, this store is 100% worth checking out. It's a clean store with kind workers happy to offer any help. read more

My second time to Miibox Beauty, and it was always a pleasant visit. The first time I went, the staff there helped me out so much and gave me tips on how to take care of my skin. Today, i went in again, two different staff were working and both were super kind and helpful. I have very dry and sensitive skin but lately been under a lot of stress, so one of the staff asked how is my skin usually and what I should be using to help my skin. Also gave me tips on how to keep my skin healthy. Definitely recommend to anyone wants people who actually know skin to help you out. read more

It's an excellent experience. The shelves are stocked with so many different products from makeup to bathing soap and it genuinely looks like the inside of a beauty shop in Japan. All the products at imported from Japan and Korea and are at very reasonable prices. You can also find all types of Asian snacks in store and they are all import items which you can barely find in other places. Surprisingly I also found the limited edition toy figures. I stopped in to get some essentials before going out of town on a business trip. The clerks were nice and offered some good suggestions in Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese products. They didn't carry the brand of cleansing oil I was looking for but they had cool alternative. They carry make up, skincare products, personal care products, and more. The atmosphere is also pretty comfy. The prices were a little high for the products- you can get them in LA or online for cheaper. It's not "perfect" in my opinion, I wish they carried a few more brands but I'm glad it was there for me when I needed them. read more

I'm so happy this place opened so close to me. No longer will I have to wait for my orders of Etude House and Innisfree goodies to come in, because it is all here! Brands I was super excited to see offered here were Innisfree, Etude House, 3CE, Jayjun. Missha and Papa Recipe (best sheet masks). If you have been an avid follower or have always wanted to try Japanese and/or Korean skin care and beauty products, then you need to come here. Prices are great and competitive. I've been greeted when coming in the store, they always have 'buy this many sheet masks, get this many free' specials and they give you service at the end (free samples). I usually stop by shibuyla or takashima but I recently found this place on Yelp and decided to stop by. They carry a lot of brands. This was the first shop that I saw that carries beauty of joseon. The women that works here is sweet. She made sure to check on me and make sure my shopping experience was good. Very aesthetic beauty product store but the employees were none too friendly and I'm glad I ended up taking my business elsewhere. I was dining in the area and wanted to check out this place since they had a few products that I wanted to see the prices for. I was happy to see they had Etude House and a few other Korean skincare items, but found that they were far more expensive than other beauty stores in the area. Their face masks are also very expensive. Each are priced at $3 and up, which I normally wouldn't consider to be a rip off had I been in Sephora, but for products that I know I could get for a cheaper price this is definitely an up sell. The employees only said a simple hello as they acknowledged me walking into the shop. They didn't offer to help and were very engrossed in their conversation. It was to the point where I even felt intimidated to reach out because they wouldn't stop talking to each other. I am disappointed by the cost of these products as well as their overall lack of interest in assisting their customers. Had I received a warmer, more welcoming gesture I would have been more encouraged to actually purchase some of their products. (18/100--2019) read more

Of everything I've bought here, I love them all (except for the one mask that irritated my skin a bit, but I think that is just because it was my skin. Perhaps it's great for other people). I have gotten many masks here and have loved them all. I've also gotten moisturizer, toner, cleanser here. I did try a shampoo once but my hair didn't totally love it. That's ok. Someone else's hair will. And their little hand creams are great gifts and perfect for throwing in your purse. They moisturize well. My most recent risk buy was lipstick and I love it! I had planned to visit the store for a while and I was so excited to try out new products. The man's tone and response when I asked a simple question was extremely rude. He also did not tell me it was final sale until after I paid and responded with much attitude. There was a female employee in the store and she was so sweet, but her kindness was overshadowed by this man's behavior. You don't know what people are going through, kindness goes a long way. I do not recommend this store at all. Do better Nature Republic.
