I have shopped here before and loved my experience! Today my experience was completely different. I arrived about 10 minutes after the store opened so I was the first customer to enter. The lady that's usually behind the counter was talking to another owner from somewhere else and completely ignored me as I was walking in. We made eye contact, I smiled at her, and she looked away. At the time I figured that maybe she just didn't actually see me come in. About five minutes later there were a few new customers that have walked in. She immediately stopped her conversation to say hi to them. Once when her conversation finally ended, she walks over to the customers and tells them to let her know if they needed help with anything then proceeded to go back to the counter. At that point, I understood what was happening and I decided to exit the store because I did not feel comfortable shopping somewhere where I wasn't welcome. I have shopped here multiple times and spent a lot of money on the products because I wanted to support a smaller company that carries a lot of the products that I use on my face. I am pretty bummed that that happened at the store since I have had good interactions with some of the other workers. I am never one to usually make reviews, but I feel that this one is important to be made in case anyone else experiences the same thing. read more

Palace Beauty is located in one of Irvine's busiest plazas, the Diamond Jamboree Plaza. As someone who comes to diamond jamboree almost every-time I'm in the area, it's pretty hard to not walk in & stroll around this beauty store. Me being a Korean skincare junkie I ALWAYS leave the store buying something. I love the huge variety of skincare they have here + the workers are always so nice and give great recommendations. The only con is their prices are a bit high -- you can find the same products are cheaper at olive young. I also heard from other ppl that they sell counterfeit products.. but I'm not too sure if that's true. This place is mostly aimed at folks who want to take care of their beauty regimen. They sold varieties of other products too, even character socks by the entrance storefront window. I was lured into this place by my siren... I couldn't steer away! This beautiful woman of mine knew what she was after. She wanted beauty masks. The kind sales associate came over to assist and describe the differences in the varieties on the table. Thank goodness we weren't in there too long. There was also a 3-for-2 deal on these boxes of masks. It's nice to also score a 33% discount on these goods. An item that I saw was the red light mask, around $75! read more

This review is only for their blind boxes. I don't usually write reviews but felt compelled to save someone else from the disappointment and heartache my children felt. A family member took my children here and purchased them a blind box. Within 2 hours, it broke. We took it back since it broke almost immediately but they chuckled and advised that it was final sale and nothing else could be done. However there were no signs saying this. We spoke to another blind box reseller and they said they would have gladly replaced the item. Save yourself money and buy your blind boxes in Tustin. They don't have crazy mark ups. read more

Theres a mark up compared to online but its not too crazy. Plus the convenience is worth it. I bought a stack of toner pads from Mediheal for only $23. Its currently $45 on Stylevana and only 1 flavor is available. Palace beauty stocks every "flavor" so I got some to try out or gift to others. The man at the counter was very nice and offered some skincare tips. He saw me holding snacks and toys from Haidilao and bagged them up for me. I did find everything I was looking for shopping here. It is in the same Plaza as H Mart and the first 85° C Bakery in the us. I did get a chance to visit the store twice. Once to see what's available at the store to research on my own, and another time to actually purchase the items. The workers knew some information on the items, but you probably need to do your research ahead of time if you have more detailed questions. I would say look it up on YouTube or other blogs by skincare influencers and you can make your decision then. They do have a wide variety of face mask and major skin care brands in Korea and japan. Their prices are also a little bit higher than online, but that's okay since you get to actually see the products. If you're not knowledgeable and skin care at all and want to get Guided by a store employee, probably not the best place to go. But if you already know what what's available in the market then you should be fine! I did end up finding what I wanted to get as a gift for my friends. Next time I come here I might try to get something for myself. There weren't any freebie items that came with the purchase that you can find at a Amore Pacific/Aritaum (maker of laneige) but I guess that's just typical for the store. read more

Discovered this place because I heard they sell face masks for an incredibly cheap price and now I'm officially sold! A fellow skincare addict recommended me to this place as an alternative to Sephora and Ulta since they don't typically carry a lot of Asian products. If you're brand new to the skincare scene, the employees are super helpful and can recommend a bunch of different items to you based on your skin type and preference. They do sell an assortment of products such as hair care and eyelashes so there's really a lot to offer and so much to try out. My personal favorites are the Darkness eyelashes which are significantly cheaper here depending on the kind you buy. I personally love the twin packs as they are 2 for $7 which would run you just one pair of Ardell lashes or worse as many other companies sell upwards of $15. Overall I would definitely be returning since the products are so cheap and worth the visit. Love this place! They usually have a nice deal on face masks which I love. They also have really great brands from Dr. Jart, innisfree, and CosRX. I also grab my mascara from this place. It's a tight space but it's packed with stuff. Prices are fair. It's not cheap, but to be expected from imported goods. First time i've been discriminated against and accused of stealing 5:30 pm 11/7/24. I came here to look for sonny angels and skincare. I picked up a sonny angel and some skincare, but then decided not to buy the sonny angel and put it back (keep in mind, the display is right in front the register). I even spent a couple minutes putting it back right where I got it in the display so she clearly had time to see me (I was the only person in the store). I then went to purchase a skincare oil and some lashes and she immediately said "Where's the sonny angel" in a harsh tone. I said i put it back and she demanded where i put it back. I said right back in the display where i got it. I wanted to leave without purchasing anything but I felt so uncomfortable and treated so poorly as she kept making horrible faces at me and looking me up and down as she checked me out. I was pretty reluctant in visiting this store based on some of the negative reviews. Being Mexican, being "stalked" and supervised while shopping is nothing new to me and practically an expectation. However, I did not experience that here. I even had my backpack with me and was still treated as a respectable customer. The man who was running the counter was extremely helpful. He answered all my questions and didn't really try to upsell me or attempt to sell me as many products as he could. He was very honest and knowledgeable when it comes to skincare. Regarding the prices, they're going to be marked up considering it's a brick and mortar store and they need to cover operational costs. Despite the prices being marked up, I feel that everything is still priced within reason. Especially when in comparison to Miibox. I hope it doesn't seem as though I am trying to invalidate the experiences of others, I just feel like visiting this store is definitely worth a shot. Went today, there was a lady definitely have not seen her before. She was rude and kept giving my sibling and I the side eye as we were looking around. Did not say hi when we walked in or anyone who came into the store nor anything walking out. And when asking about a price product she said "it's on the side" rudely. this location sells counterfeit products including labubus which i bought as a bday present for family. went in to ask them about it and the man was very rude - I showed him a photo of it and he tried to tell me it was real and a secret edition one. but I told him I have other real labubus and that is not one. after some back and forth, he tried to backtrack telling me that they always let people know when they are selling labubus that are fake and I was informed. Obviously I wasn't informed but he kept trying to convince me that I was, even though another worker told my friend that the shipment of fake labubus was an accident. Either way I wasn't expecting much, an apology would have been nice. But this man was so horribly rude I just had to say something. Walked into this beauty store because my friend and I were waiting for our table at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar! I was drawn in by the cute Sanrio socks in the window. They have a quality selection of Korean beauty products, including Innisfree! I purchased the Innisfree daily spf 50. Price was slightly higher than Sephora (~$5 more) but I was happier to support a small business over a corporation. I recently came to pick up Dear Packer sheet masks (20 for $10) and an eyebrow eye pencil ($16). I really love the Korean eye pencil since it doesn't smudge easily and lasts all day compared to the Anastasia brand (runs out too fast). The staff are helpful in answering your questions! I was curious about Korean skincare as I figured that maybe I should start giving a crap about my skin. I entrusted my friend Cris's opinion as her skin is flawless and she and her brother are avid fans. I guess I was always a bit skeptical of asian skincare because I was suspicious that it would turn my skin into some ghostly pasty kind of color... some people seem to be into that anemic look. So we went in and the sales ladies were very helpful. They recommended a bunch of products that would minimize my pores, lessen the redness, and soften the texture of my skin...basically playing into my insecurities and/or giving me a new set. They also mentioned some product that used stem cells to help regenerate skin. I was a bit interested but a bit weirded out at the thought of how the company procured stem cells. My friend stepped in and asked for samples and she rationally explained to me that I might get a reaction if I bought the whole set. I ended up with a free sample, it smelled nice. I also went back to purchase a brow pencil. Otherwise, things are hit and miss if you're not Korean and can't read the labels like me. read more
