Unfortunately, her team is very fake. In both of my visits, I experienced unpleasant behavior. The appeal of a women-owned business is diluted by such behavior and poor practices. I was promptly called to schedule an apt and briefly spoke with the coordinator, telling her about a pre-op I have with another Dr later in the week. I was told I would have a complimentary consultation. After driving an hour for my same-day apt, arriving, filling out paperwork, and waiting, I am told that because I have another pre-op scheduled, it will be a $250 consult by the same coordinator I spoke to a few hours earlier. Since there was a failure in communicating to me at any other point during our prior conversation, my time was wasted. Undergoing a tummy tuck was a significant decision for me, as it is a major surgery. Choosing the right doctor was the most crucial part. I chose Dr. Florin because I preferred a female doctor to avoid feeling uncomfortable. Additionally, I saw that Dr. Florin specializes in mommy makeovers and has excellent reviews. During our consultation, she explained everything patiently and clearly, which made my husband and me feel very confident in her. After the tummy tuck, I did not experience pain, but rather discomfort due to the drains for two weeks. After a month, I felt more confident, and now, three months later, I can wear my old skirts and pants again. My body looks more shapely, and I have a waistline once more. The results are amazing, and I am very happy with them. Regarding the fat transfer to my breasts, I still wear the same bra size, but they feel slightly fuller, though not significantly. I wanted to have a procedure done for many years. As I live in Los Angeles, I struggled to find a surgeon that I felt comfortable with. A friend had recommended Dr. Florin in Newport Beach. This was in March 2021 and Dr. Florin was able to set up an initial virtual consultation with me. During the virtual consultation she answered all of my questions, explained the procedure, explained different options to me. She also explains how to maintain the results years after surgery. Ultimately, I felt comfortable enough proceeding with Dr. Florin and I wanted to make sure that I felt comfortable with the office and also meeting her in person. Her surgical consultant, Dina, was great in getting me pricing for the different surgical options, discussing financing for the procedure and steps moving forward. Meeting Dr. Florin in person made me feel even more comfortable to have the procedure done with her and she really exhibited great bedside manner even before I had scheduled and ultimately paid for the procedure. The facility is beautiful as well! During the pre-op appointment, a packet was given to me for information for the day before surgery, the day of surgery, and the day after surgery. Dr. Florin went over all of the information with me and explained everything to me. As you have to get your blood drawn prior to your surgery, Dr. Florin also called me with the results. On the day of the surgery, the nurse, the anesthesiologist, and of course Dr. Florin all felt me feel very comfortable. A few hours after I left the surgical facility, both the nurse and Dr. Florin called to check in on how I was doing. I saw Dr. Florin the following day, in person, to check on my progress. (As I do live far away, the option to have this appointment done virtually was also presented to me.) For those who did not know I had this procedure done, they cannot tell I had anything done but just ask if I lost a lot of weight. For those who do know that I had this procedure done, they compliment Dr. Florin's work and tell me that the results look stunning. One thing I would really like to highlight about Dr. Florin, Dina, and this office is that you do not feel pressured into doing something you do not want to do and most importantly they wait for you to feel comfortable proceeding. My experience with Dr. Florin was horrible and I do not recommend her. I had breast implants for 25 years and went to Dr. Florin to downsize their appearance. I was a 32D and my goal was 32C. After my surgery with Dr. Florin my breasts were LARGER (32DD) - likely due to her choice of implant profile, fill type and size. Furthermore, one breast ended up flawed from her pocket reduction as it has been pinched in & up months after surgery, creating a deformed appearance. When I pointed out my concerns in my 3-month post-op appointment, Dr. Florin suggested I was being 'NIT-PICKY' (my husband almost fell out of his chair)! I give her 2 stars (vs 1) because I believe Dr. Florin had good intentions...however she may not have the experience to execute these seemingly simple surgical procedures.
